For a concept, this was a cool one to lead with. I'm glad they decided to try it out, and have a show focused on the aspect of treasure hunting. However, it falls flat, in so many ways. Most of the rangers, villians, and even allies are annoying, or have almost no personality. You could tell the writers at least tried, but it's still disapointing to see. Some episodes are fine, but I find most episodes to be unwatchable, and that is one of the reasons why. I especially dislike Dax, the blue ranger. He's so fucking stupid, why is he even on the team? It makes no sense to me that they chose to write his character like that and expect us to be alright with it. The episodes aren't also very well writen. In some cases they are, for example with the past rangers coming back, I thought that was great, and the way everything was showcased and writen was well done. However when it comes to most episodes in the series, this isn't the case. I'm left wondering why they chose to do things the way they did. I understand that they adapted things around the Sentai footage, but they still could have done better. I'm a huge fan of Power Rangers, and Sentai as a whole, but this series isn't it. It sure is better than the total slops that Megaforce and Samurai were, but it's still very lack luster. If they had writen the characters and episodes better, I'd be more a fan. I don't hate the series, it just doesn't leave much to be desired, and is lacking in a lot of aspects. Some episodes are fine, I'll give it that, I can watch some episodes are enjoy them, but overall, it's not that great of a series, and they should have done better.
