Work Text:

Sasha's office was drenched in light, it was a rather known fact that Sasha would always keep his blinds open unlike most other people on a schorching summer day.

Surprisingly his office wasnt that warm either beacause of the air conditioning he had installed a few years back that was curently trying to survive or the plants, he has a lot of those in his office green and humid it was a surprise how the walls of his office haven't gotten any mold yet.

Sasha was curently at his desk looking trough some papers as he hears someone knock on the door. "Come in the door is open!" Sasha spoke in a cheerfull voice smiling at the door as it opened.

A man steps inside. "Ah. Hello Dr. Gears let me guess, forgot to take the food from our home again? I mean if you're hungry i have some cookies over the..." Gears intrerupts him before he can finish his sentence.

"I am experiencing tiredness and the coffee my assistant brough me this morning is not helping with it. Do you have any advice for me? Any tea something to help with my predicament."

A few drops of rain gently drip on the window, right it was forecasted to rain. "Gears i doubt anything is going to fix you being tired, don't get me wrong if i could i would help you but today's mood in general is rather drowsy that and you're an old man."

Sasha turns his head towards Gears who looked almost pathetic looking at Sasha from the other side of the desk. "You know back in my homeland we say that if you get tired or any of your limbs hurt or you're in a bad mood in general that it is the weathers fault."

Gears tilts his head. "Just a folktale most likely." Sasha giggled. "I mean of course but still the weather does tend to affect someones mood i myself can feel it. Anyways i only have a cheap kind of tea if you want."

The unemotional man nods his head, Sasha always knew how to cheer him up. Was that even the right term for someone like him? If he himself could get cheered up that means he was feeling down. Sasha snaps Gears out of his toughts as he hands him a basic white ceramic mug. The tea was hot, it was not sweet. He could ask for sugar but that meant bothering Sasha who was now back in his proper place at his desk.

"Doctor Roofleaf, where do you keep your sugar? Do you have any?" Sasha giggled before passing Gears 2 packs of sugar. Just the amount Gears liked. "Thanks i apreciate the gesture."

The rain was still falling a bit more aggresive than earlier. Sasha looks up from his papers. "You should really consider taking a few days off You might break at the pace you are going at. I do not wish to see you hurt or worse."

The steam from the tea twirls in the air. Gears breathes. "Hurt? From what there is no phisical risk in sitting at a desk all day and sometimes running tests." Sasha sighs slightly annoyed at Gears' altough expected willingness to work himself to death. "I know that your whole thing but i know you know what i mean when i say you could get hurt. I might need to break one of your legs one day to have a good enough reason that you would accept to stay in bed.

"That sounds odly romantic. But i would apreciate not having broken legs." Roofleaf lets out a soft giggle. "Fine but please try to not ask too much of your body or your brain you are getting old, and before you say anything about me being nearly as old as you i take way more than enough breaks, meanwhile i have to strap you to our bed to make sure you are not getting up to go to work."

An akward silence followed as both men were thinking. "I am sorry i had a long day too. Take care of yourself and just so you know the leg offer is still up for debate. Also take these cookies to your assistant i believe he deserves them." Sasha smiled as he handed Gears a box of homemade chocolate filled cookies.

"He is going to become spoiled if both you and Rights keep feeding him like this. I suppose he does deserve them after all he is doing a fair amount of good work. I shall give these to him as a reward." Gears shakes Sasha's hand, the closest thing he would publicly do to a hug then he puts the now empty cup back on Sasha's desk and leaves with the box of cookies.

He seems to feel better than earlier not like anyone other than Gears himself would know that.
