This is one of (hopefully) many source dragon stories I have. But first I have to flesh out my versions of them.

Chapter 1: First Meeting

Chapter Text

It was dark out when Lloyd decided to practice with his new sword. The curved dao blade was already so much easier than his old katana. He attacked the training dummy with his powers. He collected the green energy in his hands before hurling it at the dummy. After a while, he switched to his sword.

Out of the corner of his eye, he could have sworn he'd seen something move. He spun around, brandishing his sword.

“Who's there?” The air around him felt warmer, yet a chill still ran down his spine. Whatever this thing is, it's toying with him. He saw it move out of the corner of his eye again. Lloyd swung the sword blindly in its direction. “Stop toying with me.”

A hand brushed his shoulder. It was burning hot, but oddly comforting, like Kai's fire. “Kai, is that you?”

“I can help you find your master,” a woman's voice said.

“Who are you?” Lloyd asked. After a moment with no response, he swung his sword, “I said, who are you!”

When he turned back a woman stood right in front of him. She seemed ethereal. Her black hair was tied back into a bun, bangs covered her forehead. She wore a hanfu, like the empress', except hers was in tones of red and coral. Her eyes were a fiery orange flecked with gold.

“Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon, elemental of–” She was cut off by the swing of a sword. Lloyd just felt so unreasonably angry. Who was this woman? Where did she come from?

“You didn't answer me.” Lloyd said as she gracefully dodge his attacks. The others would probably make fun of his sloppy form right now.

“I apologize Lloyd Garmadon.” She extend a hand, “You can call me Ella. Temporary truce?“ Lloyd hesitated before grabbing hold of her hand.

“Truce.” He paused to put his sword back before continuing. “You said you could head us find Master Wu?”

“If you'll let me.”

He should have thought about it longer.

“Okay.” The woman, Ella, released his hand and stepping back a few yards.

“Just hold still,” she said before beginning to run towards Lloyd. He braced himself for the impact. He saw particles of red and green spray across his vision before falling to the ground in a crumpled heap.
