Work Text:
Intak knew something was up the second he saw his phone flash with messages from Keeho at 12:30am.
He was already half asleep laying in bed, when his phone buzzed against the mattress more than once, enough to get his attention.
Grabbing his phone, he squinted at the screen.
OT4
The profile picture was this off guard photo he has never seen before of him and Theo from one random rehearsal from tour. He started at the photo, and the name of the group chat for a few seconds before opening the messages.
Keeho:
Emergency
everyone i need you to answer honestly
do we think if taeyang and intak ‘accidently’ share a room on our trip this weekend that they would finally figure their shit out?
Intak sat up so fast that he felt slightly dizzy as more messages started to pop up in the group chat.
Jongseob:
$10 they don’t.
Jiung:
$40 says no
Shota:
$100 on yes
Keeho:
$200 on no.
Confused on what this group chat could possibly be for, he checks the member list.
No Theo.
Before he thinks too hard about it, he types.
Intak:
why am i here
The chat went silent for a few seconds.
Jiung:
Keeho you had one job.
Jongseob:
idiot.
Keeho:
well- you are not supposed to be here
Intak stares at the screen, debates on whether he should leave or not, because clearly he’s not supposed to be here. But now knowing it was strictly about him and Theo? He quickly decides that there is no way he’s leaving.
Intak:
well hyung isn’t here so continue
Jiung:
Oh you’re sick
Shota:
ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
Keeho:
Um okay. well since everyone is here now, including intak ig, lets stay focused
Intak:
why are u focused on me and taeyang
Keeho:
I have a better question. how long are we pretending that you haven’t been hopelessly in love with taeyang for years now
Intak nearly drops his phone on his face reading the message.
Intak:
excuse me???
Jiung:
Intak be serious.
Jongseob:
you’re literally obsessed with him
Intak:
you’re all so dramatic
Jiung:
Are we dramatic when you literally look for him during every schedule we have. If we are in a waiting room, you two are stuck together. At fansigns, if he is at one side of the table and laughs, your head whips over to his direction. and god forbid if you two are sitting next to each other… On stage you always end up next to him. At airports, we all notice you saving a seat for him. You always hand him water, fix his mic pack, hold his things, and act annoyed when he’s all over you, but you never stop him. Don’t even get me started on Taeyang too, none of this would matter if he was subtle but I think he may be even worse. He watches you, he smiles before you even say anything, touches you an obnoxious amount of times in a day. You’re both embarrassing.
The chat goes dead silent.
Intak stares at the message as if he just had his whole life dumped out in front of him. He sits there stunned that while he’s spent years trying to decode their relationship, Jiung just spelled it out easily for not just him, but Theo too.
Jongseob:
damn.
Keeho:
Couldn’t have said it better.
Shota laughs at the message, also clearly agreeing with the ramble.
Heat climbs up Intak’s neck, now slightly embarrassed that his feelings for the older are now out in the open.
Intak:
you all need jobs
now.
Jongseob:
we have jobs, and one of them is watching the two of you dance around each other
Keeho:
do you really think Taeyang doesn’t like you back?
Intak:
im going to sleep
There was a long pause as his thumbs hover over the keyboard, Keeho’s question really running through his mind now that the topic is brought up. Theo and his relationship has always been different compared to the ones he has with the other members. They’ve always been close, touchy with one another, and even have purposefully spent off days with each other. It has always felt intentional, but Intak never felt confident that it was in any way but platonic. He has never been able to tell where the line was, but the thought of potentially being wrong about the other’s feelings is enough to make him brush the thought away.
However, now that the members are also seeing the same things he has for years, he can’t help but feel a slight sense of hope.
Intak:
do u really think he does
The chat immediately blows up with messages.
Jiung:
FINALLY
Keeho:
He finally folded LOL
Jongseob:
can i change my bet pls
Shota:
No.
Adding $200 to my bet.
Keeho:
oh you’re sick
Intak:
i just have my doubts.
Keeho:
to answer your question
yes it’s painfully obvious
Jiung:
It’s almost offensive to him that you don’t notice
Keeho:
well this brings me to the real reason i created this gc.
I got details about our trip this weekend. we have three rooms at the cabin, there’s six of us. production is making us choose one at a time as a game of course. you won’t know who’s inside until you walk in the room, but we can try having 2 to each room.
Jongseob:
Another game to fight over beds?
Keeho:
yes unfortunately
but a beautiful opportunity
Intak:
for what exactly
Keeho:
for getting you and taeyang in the same room for two nights
Intak freezes, his fingers tighten around his phone, and his eyes go wide before quickly typing back.
Intak:
im not sleeping in a room alone with him for two nights.
no way
Jiung:
Why?
You do it on tour all the time
Intak:
thats different.
To Intak it is different. On tour the hotel rooms after a long schedule were one thing. He was too tired to think of anything else. It was always just showers, separate beds, lights off. But this is different, now he will walk into that room knowing exactly what the members are implying behind this ‘room plan.’
His thumbs hover over the keyboard, not exactly sure if he wants to even attempt explaining his rationale.
Keeho:
We are tired. something has to happen intak please
Intak:
nothing is happening.
Jiung:
Hence the bet
Keeho:
just make sure you pick room b okay?
Intak:
im muting this gc now
And he does.
He mutes the groupchat, and tosses his phone on the other side of his bed and stares up at the ceiling. All he can think of is Jiung’s message about sharing rooms before. He hates that question because he knows he doesn’t have a full answer. Fully aware that Theo and him have shared hotel rooms before, practice room floors, couches, airplanes, he isn’t so sure as to why two nights sound different.
Intak turns onto his side and just buries his face into the pillow, knowing he’s going to be up late pondering.
The cabin was worse than Intak expected.
It was way too nice.
Snow covers the ground, completely untouched besides the tire marks their vehicles made. The cold mountain air immediately hits Intak’s face the second he steps out the backseat. The house was beautiful, made of all wood and warm lighting peeks out the windows.
The kind of place you would see in a movie about memories or building connections with people.
All the things that Intak wants to avoid.
Staff stops them before anyone could even reach the door.
“Room assignments first.”
Intak felt his stomach drop.
“It’s cold,” Keeho whines out.
The staff member ignored him, and started explaining the rules.
Just like what Keeho had said last night. There were three sleeping spaces. Two bedrooms and the loft. They would choose one at a time without seeing any of them first. Once a member went inside and picked a room, they were to stay there until the game was over. There was no switching, no peeking out, no helping anyone.
Keeho glanced over at Intak with a smirk on his face as the staff read off the last part, who received an eye roll in response.
The members line up in the snowy driveway, all bundled in their enormous black matching puffers while the cameras capture all of their reactions. Their breath was visible in the air, all of them wanting to get this over with so they could get warm inside.
“Keeho you’re first,” the staff calls.
Keeho adjusts his jacket before shooting Intak one last glance, then goes over to the front door, disappearing inside.
A few moments later, the staff calls Jiung to go choose.
Intak continues waiting as Shota and Jongseob’s names were called individually, leaving just him and Theo outside waiting. Eventually the staff called Theo’s name to go pick. He shot Intak a smile before walking through the front door.
It felt like hours before the staff called his name. All he could think of was if he should follow this so-called plan or not. He didn’t even know what ‘Room B’ meant as he hadn't even stepped inside the cabin yet.
Walking towards the front door, he takes a quick breath before stepping inside.
The front door clicked behind him as he took his shoes off. The cabin was silent. Way too silent for the six of them, and that made the anxiety build in his chest. He stands in the entryway for a second, staring ahead at one room, looking up at the loft, then looking around for the third sleeping space.
Seeing the last space off to the left by the kitchen, he tries to figure out which room Keeho could’ve possibly been talking about. Looking up at the loft, there is no movement, so he quickly assumes nobody is up there.
The plan has either been messed up or four of them are in one of these rooms.
I swear if I pick that room…
He walks towards the door right across from the entryway, putting his hand on the doorknob. But something in his gut tells him no, that it’s the wrong one. He has absolutely no reason to think that, besides a random feeling in his chest.
“This is so stupid,” he mutters to himself.
He lets go of the doorknob and books it to the room by the kitchen instead.
Opening the door, the room looks empty. There’s two beds, but there’s nobody in the room.
For a second, Intak feels relieved that he doesn’t have to suffer in his feelings for the weekend. Them having separate rooms makes it a lot easier, and he gets the satisfaction of watching Shota lose $300.
He moves further into the room, noticing there’s a gap between the one bed across the room and the wall.
Peeking over the second bed to confirm that there is in fact, nobody in the room, he is immediately proven wrong. Theo lays on the floor, half-hidden by the bed as he’s almost under the bed.
Their eyes meet and the first thing that comes out of Intak’s mouth is, “Are you alone?”
Theo glances to his right, under the bed and casually says, “Come out.”
Intak’s entire body freezes for a moment before he moves to look under the bed.
There is nobody there.
Relief floods Intak’s body again, but also a sliver of anxiety runs through him.
I’m sharing a room with Taeyang.
Theo was here with him, alone.
All weekend.
Getting up from the floor, Theo seems almost excited that the two have their own room. He tries to reason it’s most likely due to them not having to share with anyone, and they actually get to be comfortable for the weekend, but part of him hopes it’s because they get to share the space together.
They jump at the sound of a door aggressively opening, and Keeho’s loud voice flooding the cabin.
“This is a terrible system.”
Leaving the room together, Theo and Intak step out and watch as all four of the other members come from the room that Intak had almost chosen.
Well good thing I didn’t pick that room.
Theo almost falls on the floor laughing. “You all are in one room?”
“Do you know what happened because the two of you?” Keeho asks dramatically.
“How is this our fault?” Intak rebuttals.
“Oh my god- the loft is empty,” Jiung says, running a hand through his hair.
“How was I supposed to know to pick the loft?” Jongseob defends.
Soul starts to fold over laughing, knowing he was supposed to go up there too according to Keeho’s plan.
Keeho looking offended at the situation at hand, “We had three spaces. Three. How did you two manage to waste one?”
“How many beds are in that room,” Theo asks, trying to hold back his laugh.
“One,” Jiung says flatly.
Theo and Intak let out a laugh, Theo hitting Intak’s arm slightly too hard.
“How many are in your room?” Jongseob asks.
Intak still laughing at the idea of four of them sharing one bed. “We have two.”
“Oh of course you do,” Keeho complains.
Staff eventually forced them to gather in the living room, trying to get the banter to settle down.
The rest of the afternoon passed by quickly.
They eventually split into groups to get groceries. Intak, Theo and Jongseob were put together, and they had three minutes to pick out the groceries they wanted. The store wasn’t too crowded, but big enough to be slightly inconvenient given that they only had a certain amount of time to check out due to the challenge they were given. Jongseob disappears twice and comes back with things nobody even asked for, Theo kept handing things to Intak to put in the cart like it was instinct. They went around the store, and Intak almost hated how natural it felt.
Back at the cabin, all six of them made dinner together.
Keeho and Theo grilled outside, while the others worked on cooking inside. Intak moved to where he was needed, setting plates, grabbing ingredients, trying to not think too hard about his sleeping situation. He would be lying if he said he wasn’t worried about Keeho potentially saying something to Theo, especially now that he knows where Intak stands regarding his feelings for the oldest.
Dinner was loud as usual. The members talk over each other, eventually all of them turning on Jongseob at one point, and cracking jokes like they usually do.
Afterward came games. Uno left them almost in a violent state after Keeho accused everyone of cheating. Jiung won and bragged about it loudly. Theo had stacked an annoying amount of +2 cards just for Intak, leaving him only to think it was targeted. By the time the cards were boring, it was fully dark outside, the snow glowed beyond the cabin windows.
Which somehow meant it was time for karaoke according to Keeho and Theo.
Jongseob and Soul were resting on the couch as audience members to whatever show Keeho and Theo were putting on. Jiung refused to participate first, but after one song he decided he had to one up Keeho in a random ballad of his choice.
The living room stayed loud for another hour, each song starting to become slower and the room filling with laughter. The only two who seemed to have an insane amount of energy were still Keeho and Theo as they were belting as if they were in an arena full of fans.
Jiung disappeared first, still humming to the song Theo was currently covering as he walked over to the bathroom.
Jongseob and Soul followed not too long after, announcing they were going to bed.
Once the three left, Keeho and Theo decided to perform a duet together as Intak sat on the couch laughing at their theatrics. One staff member came in to turn all the cameras off, announcing filming was done for the night.
No more microphones hovering nearby. No more pressure to keep their idol-like presence.
It was just the three of them in the living room. Keeho was sprawled across one end of the couch with a blanket, like he may fall asleep there. Theo sat on the floor with his back against the sofa, a knee pulled to his chest. Intak sat beside him, close enough that their shoulders brush.
For a while the three just talked. They discussed nothing important, just old dorm stories, the worst stages they think they’ve ever done, and other mindless conversations. Keeho goes on about how much Shota and Jongseob have grown up, leaving Theo to joke about how Keeho always talks like this when he gets sentimental or sleep deprived.
The conversation turns into random memories, things they’ve said a hundred times but are still just as funny to them. Keeho notices how the two sit closely together, shoulders almost on top of one another. He looks between them quietly, then pushes himself up from the couch.
“I’m going to bed.”
“Finally,” Intak jokes.
Keeho grabs his blanket, dragging it with him as he heads toward the hallway. “Just- try not to be too loud out here,” he says casually.
“You’re one to talk about being loud,” Intak replies immediately, getting a laugh out of Keeho as he disappears into his shared room.
The quiet lingers for a few moments, before Theo shifts, pushing himself up from the floor.
“Did you want to shower first?” he asks.
Intak nods, standing up. “Yeah, I’ll go first.”
The walk to their room feels shorter, as if it’s already become familiar to them. Intak doesn’t let himself think about the situation too much, quickly grabbing his bag to pull out a plain black shirt and a pair of sweatpants.
His shower is hotter than it needs to be, steam thick enough to blur the mirror and redden his skin until it almost feels suffocating. He stays under longer than usual, letting the water hit his back, his shoulders, his neck, anywhere that might help quiet the thoughts that are loud in his head. The messages from the other night continue to replay, every word sitting louder in his brain. Theo acting like nothing had changed, still being close at all times, lingering in his space as he always does, only makes it worse. Intak doesn’t know which is true, if it does mean something or it doesn’t.
Theo is sitting on one of the beds when he gets back to the room, phone in hand. Intak pauses for a moment before nodding towards the bathroom. “All yours.”
Theo hums in acknowledgement, already pushing himself up off the bed. He grabs a pair of sweats from his bag, before heading to the bathroom. The soor shuts quietly behind him, leaving the room feeling very quiet the second he’s gone.
A few seconds later, Intak hears the water start to run. The sound fills the silence in the room, and he lets out a breath he wasn’t aware he was holding. He drags a hand through his damp hair as he sinks onto the edge of his bed, shoulders dropping slightly now that he’s alone for the first time all day.
His phone buzzes against the mattress.
He glances at it for a second before picking it up, already knowing seeing who it is, that this was going to be annoying.
Keeho:
You’re welcome btw
Intak:
for what?
Keeho:
you have two nights
Don’t waste it.
Intak immediately rolls his eyes. Before he can even respond, another message comes through.
Keeho:
Check your nightstand
He stares at the screen. “No way,” he mutters, glancing at the bedroom door.
Still closed.
Water still running in the bathroom.
With a deep sigh, Intak leans over and pulls open the drawer out of curiosity. Peeking inside, he sees a small bottle resting in the drawer. Picking it up, he stares at it for a moment processing what he’s holding, before dropping his head back with a groan.
“So unbelievable.”
Of course Keeho did this.
He shoves the bottle back into the drawer and closes it a little harder than necessary.
“I’m not using that,” he mutters to himself.
From the bathroom, he hears the water still running. Leaning back on his hands, Intak stares off at the ceiling.
Nothing is even going to happen anyways.
It’s just two nights.
He exhales slowly as the sound of the shower fills the silence in the room. For the first time all day, there’s no distractions from the thoughts of the two of them sharing a room for the weekend.
His gaze flickers towards the nightstand, but turns away even faster.
Rolling his eyes, he mutters to himself, “Not happening.”
But his thoughts didn’t listen. They kept circling back to the way Theo had looked at him earlier, the way he laughs, leans into him without thinking, staying close to him when he definitely didn’t have to. The worst part of it to Intak is that it feels normal. Almost like they crossed a line years ago, but just never acknowledged it, so it’s routine for them. Dragging a hand down his face, he knew that despite how much he tried to shut the thoughts down, he wouldn’t be able to stop thinking about if Keeho was right.
The bathroom door clicked open, and Theo stepped back into the room. His hair was damp, shirt slightly clinging to his body like he didn’t fully dry off. Intak didn’t look up at him at first. He stayed where he was on his own bed, hands bracing the mattress, staring at the floor like he couldn’t escape his own thoughts.
Theo moved around quietly, dropping his clothes into his suitcase, running the towel through his hair one more time before sitting on his own bed. He glances over at Intak, who still hasn’t even blinked.
“Are you alright?” Theo asked.
Intak nods, “Yeah,” still not moving out of his trance.
Theo doesn’t buy it, but doesn’t call him out immediately. He leans back slightly, still watching him. “You don’t look alright,” he says after a moment.
Snapping out of it a bit, he glances at him slightly. “I’m fine hyung.”
Theo exhales, already knowing he’s not telling the truth. “You know I don’t buy that.”
Intak doesn’t respond, his fingers just curl into the sheets harder. Theo lets another moment pass, before standing from his bed, and crossing the room. He lowers himself on the edge of Intak’s bed, sitting next to Intak, leaving little space between them.
“What happened?” Theo asked gently.
“Nothing,” Intak replies, quieter this time.
Theo titled his head slightly, like he’s trying to read Intak. “Did someone do something?”
Intak shook his head faintly, but Theo still pressed. “Then why are you being quiet? You’re never like this unless something is wrong.”
Looking away, he mutters, “They were just talking.”
“Who?” Theo asks immediately.
“Keeho… Jiung.”
Theo frowns slightly, “About what?”
Intak hesitates, knowing if he opens up this conversation there is no going back. “It’s nothing,” he says again.
Theo watches him, and asks again. “What did they say?”
Letting out a small exhale, shaking his head, “It’s so stupid. It’s nothing.”
“Almost everything they say is stupid. Say it anyway.”
“It’s just-” Intak pauses, jaw slightly tightening at the thought. “They say certain things like it’s obvious.”
“Intak,” he says, getting his attention. “What did they say?”
“They were talking about us,” he says, looking up at Theo.
Theo blinked, caught off guard for a second. “Oh,” he says, his gaze dropping away. “What did they say?” quieter now, like something just shifted to make him almost uncomfortable.
“They think we’re both oblivious,” he says slowly, “like... we’ve been dodging something for years and ignoring it.” Theo goes still. “They kept going on and on about how everyone sees it but us.”
“Oh.” Theo stares at the floor, processing the words that just left Intak’s mouth.
Intak watched him, his chest tightening. “They’re just overthinking,” he says quickly, “they always do this.”
Theo shook his head slightly, still looking at the floor. “I don’t think that’s what this is.” Intak’s stomach drops. “If they said it like it was a joke, you wouldn’t be like this.”
Intak couldn’t even respond to it, because Theo was right. It wasn’t a joke, and that’s what made him the most scared. Theo looks back at him, more focused now as if it all clicked.
“You’ve thought about this too,” he says, “haven’t you?”
Intak doesn’t know how to respond to that.
“What do you think about what they said?”
The question makes Intak freeze. He knows his answer to this question changes everything. If he says what he feels out loud, his feelings become real and known.
“I don’t-,” he started, but stops, shaking his head. “I don’t know.”
Theo held his gaze. “You do.”
Intak lets out a quiet, shaken breath, eyes dropping to his lap. “I don’t want to lose this,” Intak says quietly. “You know me better than anyone. If I’m wrong, I lose this.”
Theo’s expression softens, everything clicking into place for him. “I thought I was just reading into things because we’re always together,” he admits. “I just never said anything because I thought you didn’t feel the same.”
The words settle between them. Their feelings real and out in the open.
“You felt it too?” Intak says, almost like he’s trying to convince himself.
“For a while now,” Theo says, “and I didn’t say anything for the same reason. If I was wrong, then I would’ve been the one making it weird.”
“That’s exactly what I thought,” Intak breathes out.
Theo lets out a small breath of relief. “So… Keeho and Jiung were right.”
Intak let out a laugh. “For once- I guess so.”
Silence filled the room, but it wasn’t tense. Theo shifted slightly closer, their knees brushing before either of them could think about it. Neither of them pulling away, it sat between them both comforting but terrifying. Theo glances down at their knees, then back up at Intak, a more serious expression falling over his face.
“It’s not just us though,” he says quietly. “Even if- if this is real.”
Intak nods slowly. “I know.”
“There’s the group,” Theo adds, voice careful as if he’s thinking before every sentence. “Everything we do is together… if something changes between us, it doesn’t just stay between us.”
“And the cameras,” Intak adds, “people already notice everything.”
The weight of the situation settles. Neither of them speak for a moment.
“But,” Theo starts again. “I don’t want to ignore it,” he adds after a moment. Intak looks at him, a small smile pulling on his face. “Even with all of this,” Theo continues, gesturing around the room, “I don’t want to pretend it doesn’t exist. Because it does.”
Intak’s chest tightened. “Me neither,” he admits.
The agreement sits quietly between them. The space between them felt smaller with every second that passed. Theo shifted first, it was subtle but enough for their shoulders to touch. He moves his hand slightly on the bed, brushing against Intak’s as he rests it there.
Watching him, Intak doesn’t miss how Theo’s eyes shift down to his lips. He feels himself stop breathing, knowing that this is actually happening, and isn’t something he’s just making up. The expression on Theo’s face was almost unsure, as if he wasn’t sure if it was okay.
So Intak moved closer, leaned in just enough to send the same message back to him. He felt Theo lean in too, the distance between them borderline to nothing. Intak could feel Theo’s breath against his lips. And just to make sure, he asks quietly, “Is this okay?”
The question barely was out before Theo closed the gap between them. Their lips met softly, testing if this was something that made sense. The kiss felt so right to Intak in a way that completely knocked the air out of him.
Intak’s hand came up without thinking, grabbing at the sleeve of Theo’s shirt as he leaned in fully, not leaving any room for space between them. He’s been waiting for this moment for years, the hesitation that lingered at first, disappears almost immediately. Theo responds just as quickly, shifting closer on the bed, his hand sliding to Intak’s side.
The kiss deepened quickly, any carefulness in their movements already gone. The want that the two of them have been craving for years, finally be fulfilled. Everything they haven’t said, everything they had avoided for years, all collapsing at once.
Intak couldn’t even think. Not when Theo’s lips were against his, not when he feels his tongue slip into Theo’s mouth. Theo lets out a quiet breath against his mouth, and he feels all his self control disintegrating. His hand slides into Theo’s hair, fingers curling slightly as he pulls him in closer, angling him perfectly to deepen their kiss further. Theo follows, wanting it just as much as he tugs Intak forward.
To Intak it feels overwhelming, but not enough at the same time. Now that he has Theo in the way he’s wanted him secretly for so long, he isn’t willing to let go. As want starts to fill him, he shifts again, now guiding Theo, laying him down onto the mattress with a kind of care that doesn’t even match how fast everything else was building. He hovers over him for a moment, breathing uneven, eyes watching Theo making sure this was okay.
His hand settles at Theo’s side, fingers tightening around his shirt, like he was grounding himself. “This is okay, right?” Intak asked quietly, voice unsteady.
Theo’s gaze didn’t leave him. “If it wasn’t,” Theo says calmly, “I’d stop you.”
Intak didn’t wait, he went right back in, like the answer just cut any last bit of restraint he had. He leans back down to kiss Theo firmly, his lips pressing fully against Theo’s, no longer testing but absorbing it all. Theo met him just as easily, opening his mouth slightly to let Intak in. Intak’s hand moves from Theo’s side up to his shoulder, but keeps moving until his fingers brush his damp hair.
He feels Theo’s breath hitch at the small pull of his hair, and Intak felt it. Barely breaking the kiss, he moves his hand back down to the hem of his own shirt, not able to stand the barrier anymore. Theo watches him for half a second, before his own hand moves to his shirt, signaling for him to take it off. With quick, clumsy movements, Intak pulls the shirt over his head and tosses it without looking.
And then Theo’s hands were on him and every touch felt like fire, causing him to inhale sharply.
He leaned back down, continuing their kiss as if they didn’t break away. Theo’s hands move across his sides, slow and intentional. Every touch feels so amplified to Intak, that his kisses grow sloppy. Theo meets him fully, now guiding the pace just enough to keep it from spiraling. Intak follows his movements, even though everything in him wants to rush it, wanting more.
Intak adjusts his weight, bracing himself slightly above Theo, one hand planted beside his head while the other stays at his waist, holding him there as he continues to kiss him deeply, wanting to memorize every part of him.
It was too much, but also not enough.
But then Theo shifted. He moved subtly under him at first, his hand sliding to Intak’s side. But his movements grow more deliberate, using his hand that rests on Intak’s side to knock his balance off. It was controlled, more than intentional, and before Intak could even process it, his back hit the mattress. He felt all the air leave his lungs at once, seeing Theo above him.
He was always painfully aware of how attractive Theo was, it was something he was able to ignore. But now seeing Theo above him, gaze locked on him, his hair falling perfectly around his face, it made something in Intak’s chest pull tight, and it only got worse the longer he stared. His fingers tighten at Theo’s waist, grounding himself, because everything is becoming too much. He had never expected Theo to look at him like this, and now how bad he really doesn’t want to ruin this. All he can think of is that if this is real, he would do anything to keep it.
His hands shifted, almost unconsciously, sliding up Theo’s sides before catching the hem of his shirt. Theo notices immediately, his gaze moving down, then back up to Intak’s face, and he leans back to make it easier for him. Intak pushes the fabric up slowly, almost trying to brace himself for the sight of Theo shirtless. The shirt dragged up over Theo’s shoulders, and Intak barely even processed where it went, just stuck on the fact his shirt was gone.
The heat of Theo was electric. Intak’s breath grew unsteady as his hands moved against his bare skin for the first time. Looking back up, Theo was still looking at him. Leaning down, Theo moved towards Intak’s jaw. The contact was slower, so deliberate that it drove Intak crazy.
“Hyung-” he started, but he couldn’t finish.
Theo presses another kiss just beneath his jaw, and Intak can’t help but react. His grip tightens on Theo’s sides, head tipping back slightly, giving Theo more space. He felt as Theo’s lips moved lower again, onto his neck with the perfect amount of pressure. His whole body felt hot as Theo slightly sucks at the sensitive spot right under his ear.
His hips raise instinctively against Theo’s. The movement barely even controlled, now chasing more contact. The action causes Theo to stop, pulling away from his neck. Intak watched as Theo was watching him, most likely taking in how Intak was already reacting.
Theo traces a thumb over his cheek. “So needy,” he said almost fondly.
The sight of Theo on top of him is officially too overwhelming, he needs more. “Please,” is all Intak can say back.
Something in Theo’s expression changes, he looks at Intak deeply before leaning back down and kisses him like he did something right.
The feeling of Theo’s lips gliding across his makes Intak melt under him. Theo’s hand stays cupped at his jaw, his thumb brushing over his flushed cheek, before breaking the kiss from his lips, and moving to his check. He presses light kisses before moving to his jaw. Intak’s breath catches when he moves to a spot by his ear. Theo kisses him everywhere, making sure there was no part of him that didn’t get attention.
Theo really takes his time at Intak’s throat. Starting with a kiss beneath his jaw, another slightly lower where he is certain Theo can feel his heartbeat. Then another near his collarbone that makes a low sound come out of Intak.
Letting out a pleased hum, Theo moved down farther. His palms sliding over Intak’s sides, keeping him grounded as his tongue glides along his bare chest and stomach in frustratingly slow movements.
The lower he went, the less Intak could breathe.
Every touch was magnified leaving Intak only more desperate. He feels Theo’s hair against his skin, the warmth of his breath before he plants each kiss on his body, the way that his hands rub circles over Intak’s hips. The feeling is almost overwhelming for Intak, wanting this for so long, but thinking this was far out of reach.
“Relax,” Theo murmured, voice low as he goes back to leaving more kisses on his stomach.
Intak lets out a small laugh, completely helpless. “Easy for you to say.”
Theo smiles against his skin.
Then he moves lower.
Not rushed, Theo takes his time with him. Every kiss is purposeful, each one placed with enough patience and in just the right spot to drive Intak crazy. Theo seemed content to keep him here waiting for more.
“Hyung,” Intak says, a small whine behind his tone.
Theo looks up from where he’s settled lower on the bed, his eyes filled with amusement. “Yes?”
He presses one more kiss, before slightly sitting up. His hand moves steady at Intak’s waist, fingers slipping beneath the waistband of his sweatpants with slow, but clear intent. His knuckles graze over his bare skin, noticeable enough to make Intak’s breath catch before Theo moves the fabric down an itch.
“Intak?”
Intak looked down. There was nothing careless in Theo’s expression, it was a kind of seriousness that knew that this was going to a new level. One that Intak was ready for them to take 10 minutes ago.
“Is this okay?” Theo asks gently.
The question hits harder than anything else that’s happened tonight. Because of course he wanted Theo to do exactly what Intak knew he was about to do. The way Theo stopped to make sure that this was something they both wanted, makes his chest warm.
Intak nods before realizing the answer isn’t going to be good enough.
“Yes,” he says, voice filled with need. “Please.”
He watches as Theo’s eyes darken, no longer filled with caution. His hands return to Intak’s waist, and he resumes exactly where he started. His fingers wrap around Intak’s sweatpants and he slides them down. Intak helps, kicking the fabric aside, causing his sweats to fall off the side of the bed.
“Oh- wow,” Theo stares at Intak’s body for a moment. His eyes rake over every inch of his bare body, as if he’s stunned. Intak can’t help but feel a sliver of confidence watching Theo stare at his body. He knows he’s fit, it’s something he’s taken pride in lately, but to have Theo appreciate it as well was more validation he could’ve ever wanted. Blinking out of it, Theo clears his throat and moves off to the edge of the bed.
Like they’re both in sync, Intak scoots up closer to the edge of the bed, popped on his elbows, legs parting to make room for Theo between them.
Seeing Theo between him sends a new wave of heat through him, painfully aware of Theo on his knees in front of him, gazed fixed on him like he doesn’t want to be anywhere else.
Theo starts to kiss his way up Intak’s thigh, his lips going everywhere but where Intak desperately wanted them. His head grows dizzy, not even realizing how one of his hands is already in Theo’s hair.
“Hyung…” he begs again, far past needy now.
The plea does something to Theo as he moves and slowly licks a line from his base, up to his tip. Intak’s head immediately tilts back letting out a quiet moan, not even able to watch the way he feels Theo take him in his mouth.
He can feel everything from the way his tip touches the back of Theo’s throat, the way his cheeks hollow as he takes every inch of him. As Theo starts to move, he doesn’t miss how Theo’s tongue presses flat against his length, drawing a small noise out of him. Moving back upward, Theo’s tongue swirls around all his sensitive spots, as soft whines leave his throat.
“Taeyang-” he breathes out, knowing he won’t be able to last if Theo keeps it up.
Theo looks up at him before removing his swollen lips slowly. He stands up, leaning over top of Intak to bring him into a kiss. Theo slips his tongue inside, as Intak moans into his mouth, not even caring about the slight taste of himself on his lips.
They naturally gravitate to move back to head of the bed. Somewhere between kisses and small laughs, Theo ends up with his head against the pillows, his damp hair messy, and cheeks flushed as Intak hovers over him with shaky arms.
Intak reaches down and catches the waistband of Theo’s sweatpants.
“Can I?” Intak asks quietly.
Theo looks at him for a moment, almost as if he’s unsure why Intak is even asking. Pulling Intak into a quick kiss, he looks up and smiles at Intak.
“Please?” he asks again.
Theo nods in response. “Go ahead.”
Intak swallows hard before tugging at the sweatpants. Theo lifts his hips, as Intak pushes the fabric down, tossing it somewhere on the floor.
He freezes at the sight of Theo below him. How open, beautiful, and unguarded he is. It was almost too much to take in, as it’s been a sight he never thought he’d ever be able to see in his lifetime.
Theo raised an eyebrow.
“Are you okay?” he teases.
Intak swallows. “You’re so pretty hyung,” he whispers, leaning down to kiss Theo desperately. Their bare bodies press against each other rhythmically, as their kiss deepens full of want.
Remembering Keeho’s text from earlier, Intak breaks away from Theo, before spotting the bedside drawer that was mentioned. Opening it, the bottle of lube that Keeho miraculously knew about was placed in there annoyingly centered.
Theo glances over, a confused look drawing over his face.
“When did that-”
“Keeho.” Intak interrupts, as it’s the only answer to the question.
Theo’s face doesn’t look surprised, in fact he rolls his eyes knowing the answer makes perfect sense. It’s always Keeho.
Settling back between Theo’s legs, he pops the cap open. Nerves start to flow through his body, but also a feeling of excitement he isn’t sure he’s felt before. All he wants right now is one thing.
Theo.
And now that same person is laid out in front of him, looking at him with the most beautiful eyes, waiting for him to start making the next move.
So he does.
Putting some lube on his fingers, he leans back down to draw Theo into a kiss as he moves one arm between his legs. When his finger reaches Theo’s hole, he hears a small inhale come from the older against his lips.
“Is this fine?” Intak asks quietly, his lips hovering over Theo’s.
“Yes,” Theo says quickly, no hesitation behind his voice.
Intak closes the gap, his tongue finding an opening as he slowly presses one finger inside, getting a moan from Theo. He moves slowly, not wanting the older to feel uncomfortable. As his finger pushes all the way in, he gives Theo a moment before starting to move slowly.
The quiet sounds that vibrates between their lips, goes straight into Intak, only wanting to draw more sounds from him. Picking up the speed, when ready, he lines up a second finger as he moves to attack Theo’s jawline. Sucking faint marks that will be gone in the morning, he presses the second finger in, gaining a quiet gasp from Theo as his head falls backwards. Moving down Theo’s neck, he presses both fingers all the way in and keeps the process going.
He can’t help but pull back for a moment and admire how beautiful Theo looks for him. How quickly he is falling apart under him, and that he hopes no one will ever get to see this besides him. Starting to get impatient with himself, only wanting to further escalate their night, he starts to move his fingers faster, stretching Theo out.
A few more minutes go by of the same routine as Intak finishes prepping. Removing his fingers, Theo immediately pulls him down towards his chest, and starts sensually kissing him, taking full control. He forces his tongue into Intak’s mouth, a whine escaping his mouth, only wishing Theo would kiss him like this everyday from now on. The kiss turns messy, saliva forming around both of their mouths, as their tongues continue to move in sync with each other’s.
Intak only grows more hungry. More desperate to finally be with the one person he’s desired for years now. When separating for air for barely a second, he manages to squeeze out a small beg to let him finally go further.
“I didn’t know you wanted me this bad,” Theo teases, smiling against his lips.
Intak wants him desperately. He wants to be inside Theo so bad, that his legs are almost shaking out of excitement. Craving to know what it will feel like, how good Theo will feel around him.
“Hyung please let me,” he begs quietly, almost whispering it into Theo’s ear. “I wanna make you feel good.”
A grin grows on Theo’s face, like he’s been waiting for those words from him. “Please Intak,” he almost begs back, wanting it just as bad at him.
Wasting no time, he pulls away to settle deeper between Theo’s legs. Grabbing the bottle again, he spreads lube along his length, before lifting Theo’s hips up slightly. Lining himself up, he looks down at Theo again, can’t help but admire the view he possesses. Slowly, he presses himself inside inch by inch, letting Theo get adjusted to his size.
“Fuck- Intak,” Theo winces for a moment before pleasure slowly washes over his face. Fully bottoming out, Intak lets out a moan. Theo feels perfectly tight around him, as if they were made for each other. It’s almost impossible to stop moving to let Theo become adjusted, but it isn’t long before Theo nods at him to move.
He moves slowly at first, consistently watching to ensure the other isn’t in pain. Theo then throws his head back into the pillow, letting out another quiet moan. Intak starts to move at a faster pace, setting a rhythm. Intak can’t help but let out soft moans at the feeling. It’s overwhelming how good Theo feels around him, but he knows he has to try and focus on something else or he’s not going to last.
“You feel so good hyung- god,” he stutters before leaning forward to kiss Theo.
To distract himself from the overwhelming feeling starting to pool in his lower abdomen, he shifts focus to not chase his own high, but to have Theo reach his. That’s all he wants, is for Theo to feel good because of him.
Moving in a smooth rhythm now, he feels Theo twitch as he slightly shifted angles. Knowing he found the perfect spot, he moves faster against it. Theo lets out a full moan this time, immediately covering his mouth with his hand trying to keep himself quiet.
Intak takes his hand away from his mouth, and presses it over his head, holding it there to also keep him steady above him.
As he comes back to Theo’s mouth, he doesn’t miss the trembling praise Theo lets out beneath him.
Theo’s soft, breathless, “Please- don’t stop,” hits him all at once.
For a second, he forgets how to breathe. Every thought in his head empties out, replaced by one extremely overwhelming dizzying realization that Theo wants him just as bad, and is asking for more.
Intak lifts his head immediately, eyes locking onto Theo’s flushed face as if he needed to make sure he heard him correctly.
“You-”
The word comes out completely wrecked.
Theo looks back at him, lips swollen and parted, chest rising quickly.
Seeing Theo a mess beneath him unleashed an aching need to not just have Theo.
But to take care of him.
To give Theo everything he was asking for and more. To keep him feeling good, keep him breathless, keep that look on his face for as long as Intak could. He kisses Theo hard, almost desperate with it, like gratitude and want had become the same thing. His hand tightened around the wrist he holds over him, the other shaking slightly against the mattress from how badly he needed to do this correctly.
He continuously moves deep inside Theo at a set pace, muffled moans vibrating through their lips each time Intak pushes back. Keeping the pace, Theo’s other hand moves to Intak’s back, fingers digging into his shoulders.
The room had disappeared around them. The idea of the other members sleeping in the other room wasn’t even a thought anymore. None of it mattered to either of them anymore.
When Theo’s breathing started to turn uneven, something sinful bloomed in his chest.
Moving his hips faster, Theo breaks away from their kiss, his head falling backwards as he lets out small moans. It wasn’t long after that Theo completely broke against him, his body tightening as his nails dug deep into Intak’s shoulder, almost emitting a wince out of him. Intak held him through every shaky breath that Theo let out as he came fully undone below him.
Wrecked in his arms, Theo makes eye contact, and something about the softness in his eyes nearly makes Intak finish on its own.
Now chasing his own high, he moves at a relentless speed. Starting to get lost in the pleasure building in his abdomen, the pace he sets becomes inconsistent. He buries his face against Theo’s shoulder, barely even able to hold himself up.
“That’s it,” Theo whispered in his ear. “Finish for me.”
Intak’s composure shatters immediately, a broken sound leaving him as he finally hits his own release. His pace slows down, as he finishes in waves.
“You did so well Intak,” Theo murmured, his hand running along his back.
He shudders at the praise as he pulls out, fully collapsing on top of Theo.
They stayed tangled together, breathing against each other’s skin as the room slowly returns around them. Theo presses a tired kiss to the side of Intak’s head.
“Thank you,” the words were so quiet Intak almost thought he didn’t say them out loud.
But Theo lifted his head immediately. Intak was still collapsed against him, cheek pressed to Theo’s shoulder, and his arms at some point wrapped around him. He could feel Theo looking at him as he hears him laugh softly.
“You’re thanking me?”
Burying his face deeper into Theo’s shoulder, he doesn’t give a response. Theo slides a hand into Intak’s hair, brushing it out of his face. The gesture only makes it worse for Intak. Theo tipped his chin up gently until Intak had no choice but to meet his eyes.
“You’re cute,” Theo murmured.
Intak starts to pout. “I’m serious.”
Theo lets out a small laugh before pressing a soft kiss against his lips, getting rid of the pout.
They clean up eventually, quietly, half-awake, and trying not to laugh loudly whenever one of them would almost knock something over. They brush their teeth shoulder to shoulder in the small bathroom.
When they made it back to the room, the question of their sleeping arrangement lasted a total of three seconds. Theo had barely sat down on his bed before Intak was already hovering nearby.
“My bed is dirty,” Intak complained quietly.
Theo only lifted his blanket, inviting Intak in.
He didn’t even hesitate before climbing in.
Not even twenty minutes later, Intak was passed out with one arm heavy across Theo’s waist, and his face tucked against the back of Theo’s neck like the spot was made for him.
The room was dark except for the dim glow of the moonlight reflecting against the snow outside. Theo should’ve been asleep too, instead he was wide awake and smiling at the feeling of Intak pressed behind him.
He notices Intak’s phone light up on the nightstand. The brightness flashing across the ceiling before dimming. Theo, as nosy as he is, glances over automatically, expecting a message from staff or a schedule notification.
Instead, what he saw made his stomach drop.
OT4
Theo frowned at the name, questioning why there was a group chat without him in it.
Careful to not wake Intak next to him, he slowly reaches over and picks up the phone, as another message comes in.
Keeho:
NO WAY INTAK DID IT
Before Theo can even process what this is about, more messages flood in.
Jiung:
How would you even know? You’re sitting right next to me?
Jongseob:
????
Keeho:
I got up once and their door was closed
Jiung:
Our door is literally closed too.
Keeho:
Okay.
I heard the bed hit the wall once
Theo puts a hand over his mouth to stop a laugh.
More messages immediately flood the chat.
Jongseob:
once doesn’t mean anything??
Jiung:
wdym once??
Shota:
???
Theo pressed his lips together. Still curious on what this groupchat is for, he scrolls up.
What greeted him was the chaos from the other night.
How Keeho dramatically declared an emergency, accidently adding Intak to the chat as well. How all of them had placed bets on whether Intak would make a move or not. He laughs at the messages, seeing that Shota was the only one that was in Intak’s favor.
But then he saw the longer messages.
Jiung calling them both out for years of ‘obvious’ behavior. Exposing Intak for always looking for him first during any schedule, how they are always attached to one another, how fans even notice that neither of them know how to act normal.
Scrolling down, he found two messages that made a smile form on his face.
Intak:
do u really think he does
i just have my doubts.
Theo twisted his neck to look over at him.
Intak was still sound asleep against him, his breathing slow and even, arm glued around Theo’s waist. A strong feeling of fondness moved through Theo.
“Idiot,” Theo whispered to himself.
Deciding that Shota was his favorite member at the moment, he scrolls back down to the current conversation.
Intak:
Keeho’s right - Taeyang
He hit send, and the chat immediately exploded with messages.
Jiung:
?????????????
Keeho:
TAEYANG?
Jongseob:
why do u have intaks phone
wait dont answer that
Shota:
taeyang hyung :)
Theo had to bite back a laugh as more messages pour in
Keeho:
wait hold on
taeyang did he actually make a move or did he just finally confess
Jiung:
You can’t just say that and disappear?
Keeho:
What happened i’m nosy please
Theo glances down at Intak, still passed out. His hair was a complete mess, bare shoulders exposed above the blanket, face looks like he’s in the best sleep of his life. Instead of typing out a response, he quietly angles the phone, snapping a slightly blurry photo of Intak asleep beside him, and sends it to the chat.
Down the hall he can hear Keeho gasp.
Jiung:
HELLO?
Jongseob:
WHY WOULD YOU SEND THAT
Shota:
does this mean i won
Keeho:
oh yall fucked didn’t you
Intak:
He’s a bit tired
Jiung:
taeyang you’re sick.
Keeho:
my $200…
Jongseob:
i am so traumatized rn
Intak:
You all owe shota money
Shota:
:)))))
Keeho:
This is bullshit.
Intak:
Wasn’t this your idea?
Jongseob:
wait did intak actually confess taeyang?
Intak:
Yeah
Jiung:
Obviously he did? Did you not see the photo
Keeho:
I can’t believe this
So i wasn’t crazy about hearing the bed-
Intak:
Who said you weren’t crazy
Keeho:
Oh so u two didn’t
Intak:
I didn’t say that
Jiung:
Oh my god stop
Jongseob:
i’m going to bed.
Keeho:
New bonus bet.. which one is more awkward in the morning when we tease them
Theo answers immediately
Intak:
Intak.
Jiung:
LMAOOO
Jongseob:
IM DEAD
Theo quietly laughs at the conversation as he locks Intak’s phone and sets it back on the nightstand, a little more carefully than needed.
Intak stirs slightly at the movement, his arm tightening around Theo’s waist as he unconsciously pulls him closer. Theo brushes the hair out of Intak’s face, his fingers lingering there for a second.
Smiling to himself, he shifts closer, fitting against Intak’s frame like the spot is meant for him. And he lets himself stay there, not wanting to move ever. By the time sleep finally takes over, nothing about where they stand feels uncertain anymore.
