APRIL 22 2026
11:00 AM
Entrance exam results out
“Oh my god?!” You said to yourself as you opened the admission form, gleaming brightly from the laptop— green text that said “CONGRATULATIONS”. You would've never guessed being accepted in such a prestigious university could ever happen, tears welled in your eyes as you realize you've lost a part of yourself just for this mere acceptance letter; the hardships and struggles with mental health and academics for this– but oh well that's kinda cringe when you really think about.
You can't help but laugh and cry all together. “Maybe the depression and trauma really did pay off, that admission essay was hell to write.” you muttered to yourself.
Seeing your chosen main course: BS Architecture, you felt relieved. Architecture has been your go to whenever relatives ask about your future job; not like you'll actually be employed in the future.
You texted your high school friends about the acceptance, luckily for you, you weren't alone for this– your entire friend group got in but different courses of course!. You're undeniably happy– ecstatic even because you know you hate change in every way, so you're glad there's at least one thing constant in your life; your friends. You casually texted them:
MC: yo beshh lipay kayko dungan taa, para dko lonely :)
(yo guyss im so happy we’re together, so i feel less lonely)
Bella: suz ngano lonely man ka naa man mi XD
(geez why would you be lonely when we’re here XD)
Marie: maogai hahaha
(right hahaha)
Trish: bantay dle ta magraduate tanan hahaha
(watch out if all of us wont graduate hahaha)
Khai: same thoo lipay sad kaykoo
(same thoo im so happy)
Kiel: guys im actually cryin bruhh lipay kays tanan
(guys im actually cryin bruhh im happiest of all)
You laugh as you've always been when you chat with them, maybe college won't be so hard after all. You closed your laptop and just took it easy for the rest of the day.
APRIL 23 2026
2:00 AM
Doomscrolling on socmed really had you rough, I mean it's a measly reward for such a huge achievement right? You argued with yourself. Quickly you scroll on socmed again looking for college tips and such because you're feeling quite responsible.
Taking notes of needs and researching random shit about college–“Life is good” you thought to yourself. “I should probably prepare my enrollment papers so I can avoid cramming again..” you said to yourself.
“I should probably check out when the group is gonna enroll though.” You quickly open messenger and text them:
MC: Btw when are you guys enrolling?? How bout we go tgtherr :p
Marie: gege
(Sure)
Bella: ill let u know when
Khai: Let's all go together ok.
Everybody reacted with a thumbs up with Khai's message. Well nobody really knew when to enroll but who cares. You sigh then adjust yourself to bed and lay down.
Months later
ENROLLMENT PERIOD
7:00 AM
Waking up to the sudden annoying alarm, you quickly turn it off. “Kapoyag barog oii (it's so tiring to stand)” you sigh while getting up then grabbing a towel and heading to the bathroom.
Showering often helps you organize your thoughts plus relaxes your mind and body. The hot steam wraps around your body and you feel sublime, time passes rather swiftly in the bathroom. Getting out and wrapping the towel around yourself wondering what outfit to wear.
You chose a random blue polo and some basic jeans, (Outfit) deeming it to be a casual fit for university. Applying some light makeup on your face put the entire outfit together. Shoving some documents in a small bag and heading out the front door while texting your friends about a meet up spot.
MC: guys meet up at Ayala center ok?
Bella, khai, Marie, Trish, Kiel: 👌
Thinking of what to ride, you looked upon the road observing the vehicles then you heard a loud swerve. Your quick reflexes made your head look around, across from you— a car accident, blood flowing on the ground. Seeing people rapidly dial the police and ambulance made you uneasy.
You observe the accident and notice a sort of brand? on the car, describing it would be like a black circle with an x on it. You wondered why it felt so familiar.
Leaving the scene, you book a taxi because you don't really feel like riding public transportation lately.
The driver asks, “Asa man ka ma'am? (where are you going ma’am?)“ you answer, “Adto lang sa ayala center kuya (at Ayala center brother)”. “Kita ka sa accidente dae? Kuyawa ato banga man duha. (did you see the accident? Shocking, it was two crashes.)” the driver said casually. “Looy man kuya naa sad dugo. (It was quite pitiful brother, blood was there too.) You say.
Glancing at the window from time to time, you thought about that brand mark pondering why it felt so familiar; like it's on the tip of your tongue.
Giving the fare to the driver, you get out of the car and head to the mall. Your stomach rumbles in hunger so you head to the nearest restaurant— Jollibee. You text your friends about it.
11:30 AM
MC: naa kos jollibee, mang libre ko, unsa inyo?
(I'm at jollibee, I'll pay for your food, what do you want?)
Trish: chicken joyy ty
Marie: spaghetti pls
Bella: fries unya spaghetti
Khai: burger steak broo lamats (ty)
Kiel: same with khai thx
MC: in ana mo ka pinang ga nako XD
(That's my way of showing I care for u guys XD)
Arriving at Jollibee, you wait in line and finally it's your turn. Saying your order then paying the total. You sit down to eat and notice your friends coming to your table.
“Omgggg hi babeess” Bella said enthusiastically. Responding back you say “I'm always such the early bird”. Marie said “Ok no need to brag” you laugh while everybody takes a seat. Chatting while eating you have a good time.
“Omg guys I forgot to tell you, kita kog banga sa road earlier. Naay blood pajud. (Omg guys I forgot to tell you, I saw an accident earlier on the road there was blood too.)” You say intentionally leaving out that weird brand symbol. Trish asked worriedly “damn, did you know what happened?” “No, not really..” you say.
1:00 PM
After talking, the six of you head out the restaurant. Walking out the mall and towards a bus stop– “I'm booking a taxi,” Kiel says. “Alright, book a six seater,” Khai added. The group planning to go to the university waits at the bus stop. A car pulls up, saying “booking for Kiel?” The group swiftly proceeded to the car.
After arriving at the university you head to the administration building and the six of you enroll together. After that, everybody walked to the front gates. “Today was kinda fun” You say. “Kay naa man ko. (Cus I'm here.)” Bella said proudly. You roll your eyes and notice a group of foreign students heading to the administration building.
One of your friends nudges at you and whispers “Yo, they're kinda fine” you quickly shush them afraid some people would hear.
Waving goodbye to your friends, you head home in a hurry. Feeling tired, you lazily change into pajamas and scroll on your phone for a few hours.
Thinking about the foreign students, you presume they're transferees. Slowly, your eyes start to feel heavy and you drift off to sleep.
