Chapter Text

Having been in this village for around... a week, you had expected Miranda to introduce you to everyone or at the very least, inform them that you were to be left alone. Nope. She was so busy with her work that the villagers had no idea who you were and let it slip to the ladies of the castle of an outsider arriving in the village.

You were snatched away from the home you were staying in at 12am and dragged off to the castle while you were powered down. You went along with the whole ‘You are now a maid at the castle, get used to it’ and did as instructed. Hey, your creator wanted you to experience life and all it has to offer so being a maid wouldn’t hurt.

But you sure as hell weren’t going to not go outside when you wanted to so you left just an hour ago in the middle of the night, took out your Yo-Yo and sat on a tree branch while playing with said Yo-Yo.

[Bela POV]

You and your sisters were heading to the maids quarters to check in on the maids. There was usually someone wandering the halls at night and your mother hates when you end up losing good help to those freaks in the dungeon.

You peaked your head inside, Daniela swarming overhead and Cassandra peaking over your shoulder.

‘Three, seven, fifteen....’ wait...

“There’s only fifteen?” You asked.

“One’s missing. Who is it?” Daniela asked.

You looked again. “That new maid, what was her name again?”

“I think it was Y/N. Think she got out?” Cassandra asked with a sadistic grin.

“Shit. We need to find her fast. If mother finds out, we’ll be grounded.” You warned.

You and your sisters swarmed out of the castle. You flew high above the village, looking everywhere you possibly could. You quickly spotted the maid sitting on a tree branch. You and your sisters materialised a short distance away and began sneaking up.

[Y/N POV]

Movement, just a short distance away. “Took you three long enough. Your efficiency is in need of improvement.” You said.

“Wha... how did you know we were here?” Daniela whined.

“That is for me to know.” You replied, still playing with the Yo-Yo.

“Get down here now. You are going back to the castle.” Cassandra hissed.

“I believe the correct word is No.” You replied.

“Wha... no? You don’t defy your betters.” Cassandra hissed.

You hopped down from the tree branch. “You are indeed skilled in combat however you often lose focus on your opponent, trying to inflict harm rather than winning the fight. Bela struggles to fight on her own, mainly using strategy that requires you two beside her. Daniela is easily distracted, even more so when her opponent flirts with her. You three are not efficient enough to be considered ‘my better’.”

“YOU FUCKING BITCH.” Cassandra hissed, unsheathing her sickle.

“I would not suggest that course of action.” You said.

Cassandra didn’t listen, turning her lower half into a swarm of flies and swarmed towards you, slashing at you with her sickle. She cackled with each strike, her sickle tearing into your clothes.

Once she finished, she chuckled. “What was that you were saying about us not being your betters?”

You stood back up. “That was rather unnecessary. I will need to find some new clothes now. Perhaps the fat man known as duke could be of assistance.”

Cassandras eyes widened, as did Belas. “Oh goodie, a new toy.” Daniela chuckled. She began to strike you with her sickle. “Come on toy, try to struggle.”

“If you insist.” You replied. You opened your arms and unleashed a torrent of dry ice. Your creator had given you many forms of self defense. Once the sisters were on the floor, shivering and hurting from the cold, you spoke. “Is that display sufficient enough?”

The sisters merely shivered. You placed a bunch of nearby sticks together then opened your arm again, this time releasing some flames at the sticks. You moved the sisters close to the fire. “I suggest you remain close to the fire for approximately 15 minutes. That will allow you the time to warm up and be able to head back to the castle.”

“Wha.... what the.... fuck.... are you?” Cassandra asked.

“I am a biomechanical automaton, or Y/N.” You replied.

“A... robot?” Bela asked.

“Yes. However my power source is different from other robots. Mine is one that contains what the humans call a heart, though mine is created from natural resources rather than metal and oil.” You explained. You opened your chest, revealing your ‘heart’. An orb with a glowing crystal inside then you closed your chest piece.

“Where... d...did you come from?” Daniela asked.

“America. My creator desired a daughter however he was too old to create one naturally so he used his genius to create me, using his own DNA to create my design. My skin is synthetic, acting similar to a humans except mine never ages. Before he died, he told me to experience life and all it has to offer.” You answered.

“A...and so... you decided... to come to some backwater village... in the middle of nowhere Romania?” Cassandra asked.

Before you could respond, you detected movement behind you.

“Daughters, what are you doing out here at this time of night?” It was Lady Dimitrescu.

The sisters looked worried, averting their gazes. “And why is Y/N out here?”

You picked up on the sisters worry and spoke for them. “They were assisting me with searching for some specific mushrooms however there are none that I require for the mornings breakfast.”

Lady Dimitrescu groaned. “All of you, get back to the castle now. Y/N, I expect you in my study at 10am sharp. We shall have a little talk about you leaving the castle.”

“Of course Lady Dimitrescu.” You said, bowed then walked back to the castle. The sisters swarmed overhead, overtaking you with ease.

Notes:

I originally intended to have the sisters in on the relationship but... I'll leave that for the readers to decide.
