It’s a normal day at school. Yashiro Nene is in class studying like normal when suddenly, she gets a terrible headache. Her eyes welled up with tears as she puts her head on her desk trying to ignore the pain.
Aoi immediately notices and her concern grows.
“Nene-chan.. Are you okay?” Aoi asks, a concerned expression planted on her face.
“Yeah.. I just have a really bad headache.” Nene answers with a hoarse voice.
“Maybe you should head to the nurse Nene.”
Nene slowly nods, trying her best not to make the pain worse, then raises her hand to get her teachers attention.
“Yes Yashiro?”
“Can i go to the nurse please..” Nene asks. Her voice cracked.
“O-of course! Go right ahead.”
After getting approval to leave, she slowly makes her way out of the classroom and mumbles a thank you.
Nene isn’t actually gonna go to the nurse. All they’re gonna do is tell her to rest then to go back to class. She much rather go hang out in the bathroom and try to get some rest.
Upon arriving at the bathroom, she calls out Hanako-kuns name. “Hanako-kun! Hanako-kun!”
“Strange. He’s not here”. She mumbles to herself. She doesn’t have enough energy to care. He’s probably at the rooftop.
Nene tries to sit down when suddenly hands grab her shoulders from behind. “BOO!” Nene gasps as tears suddenly start streaming down her cheeks. She doesn’t mean to cry, it’s just the sickness messing with her brain.
“Hey.. Yashiro are you okay?..” Hanako asks, not expecting her to cry. Usually she just gets shocked and hits him.
“Yeah.. *sniff* I’m sorry i just have a really bad headache.” Nene says trying to stop the tears.
“Ah.. I’m sorry.. i didn’t know.” Hanako says, guilt in his voice. He takes a seat on the floor and pats the spot next to him. Nene sits down and leans on his shoulder.
Hanako feels her forehead. “Geez you’re burning up! You should really go home Yashiro.”
“I don’t have energy to walk.”
“I’ll just carry you then!” Hanako says with an excited tone. “No! Just let me rest for a bit then I’ll go. Or I’ll just ask Kou to borrow his phone.”
“So you’ll talk to Kou and not me?.. Wow talk about favouritism..” Hanako says in a teasing tone. Yashiro lightly smacks him. If she wasn’t so sick she’d hit him harder.
After a while, Nene lays on Hanakos lap. “Y-yashiro!-“ Hanako says his face turns red. “Shhhhh let me sleep.” Nene says as she slowly falls asleep. Hanako doesn’t mind. He starts stroking her hair until she drifts off.
