"Come on witchy, open the door!" Damon said, banging on her door. Bonnie had been missing for days, he has had enough of Elena complaining about it, so he came here to get some info, just so he can go back and tell Elena to shut up and calm down because Bonnie is totally fine. Honestly, he just thinks she could be sick. "Come on, open the door before I open it with my foot. And we both know I would!" Finally, Bonnie opened the door. 'Jesus, what happened to her, she looks deader than dead.' He thinks as he gets a good look at her.
"What, Damon? I'm tired I don't have time for your games." Bonnie says with her voice that it sounds like she hasn't talked for years. "What? I can't talk to my good old friend?" He said sarcastically. Nothing was said after that, just him staring at her with curiosity and her at him with a blank stare that says 'I'm not playing with you'. They stare at each other for a few more minutes, till Damon finally gives in, "Okay, what's wrong with you?" Bonnie doesn't say anything, just keeps quiet and staring. "What's wrong? Don't make me ask again." He says as he's growing irritated, and thinking about leaving since she's just wasting his time.
"It's nothing, go home Damon." and with that she tries to close the door in his face, well she tried, but was stopped with Damon slamming his hand on her door, because how dare she. "Damon." "Bonnie. If you really want me to leave, you could just answer my question, and I'll be out of your hair." he says with a smirk. Bonnie just sighs then says, "What question, Damon?" she says looking done and tired. "Oh, you know like, where have you been? Why haven't you talked to anyone? Have you been here since Monday? And why do you look like you're in your emo phase?" Damon says the last one with a little smirk. Bonnie answers still with hardly little patience in her eyes, "I've been in my room, I don't feel like talking to anyone, yes I’ve been here since Monday, and I look like this because I was rudely interrupted from my sleep. If that's all then, goodbye Damon." She tries once again to close the door in his face, and once again Damon stops her.
"Okay, first, stop trying to close the door in my face. Second, you still haven't answered my very, very first question." "And what's that Damon." she says, done with this conversation. "Uh, what's wrong with you? And don't say nothing because it's never nothing. And also, if you answer then maybe, I might go away." Bonnie doesn’t answer at first, then she finally sighs and caves. "I'm sad, Damon." she says, crossing her arms. "For what?" he said, scrunching his face in confusion. That causes Bonnie to scoff, "Ha, like I'm telling you." "Well, you have to, because if you don't, I'll stay here. Come on Bonnie, tell papa what’s making you sad." Damon says with a small smile. "Because." " ‘Because.' isn't an answer." "Because, I just am, Damon." she spits out.
"Well....does it have something to do with something that happened on Monday?" he says carefully, not wanting to make her even more mad. "If I say yes, will it make you go away?" she says with a tiny smirk. "If I say yes, will you tell me why?" he says with a raised eyebrow. "First, why would I do that, and secondly, why do you care?" also with a raised eyebrow. "I don't know, would you rather I get Elena or blondy?" "NO!" she quickly yells. "Oh so, this has something to do with them? Now I definitely have to know." A smirk growing on his face. "Maybe, maybe not." "Come on witchy, tell me." she just stares blankly. 'okay if she doesn't want to tell me the easy way, then I'll just annoy it out of her.'
"Tell me, tell me, tell me..." Damon keeps repeating, till Bonnie says 'fine'. "So does that mean that you'll finally invite me in?" he says with a genuine smile. "No." Bonnie shuts down, "Come on, please." "Fine, Damon. You are NOT invited in." she says with a pure smile, which causes his to drop, "Bonnie." he says with a serious voice, "Okay, okay, Damon you are invited in." she says with a chuckle. Bonnie walks to the kitchen to grab a glass of water, while Damon walks in and looks around her house since he can finally get a better look of her house now. When he's done, he walks over to the couch to take a seat, while waiting for her to tell him what's got her so down in the dumps. "So–what made little Bon-bon so blue?" he said with a little pouty face when she joined him. " Get out." "Fine, sorry sorry, tell me what's wrong."
After a few minutes, she whispers, "Promise not to laugh." "Cross my heart." he says with a 'cross my heart' motion. She looks at him with a shy look, and says, "I overheard a group of guys talking about how pretty Caroline and Elena are." "I mean it's not like they're far from wrong." Damon says with a sly smirk and bouncing his eyebrows. "But… that doesn't explain why you've been off the radar...What, you don't think so?" Bonnie quickly replays with, "What, no. I think they're really pretty." "Then what's the problem?" he asked with a confused look. They stare at each other, waiting for Bonnie to reply. "The problem is–I didn't hear anything about me." Damon just squints at her, and she just keeps going, but this time asking questions.
Bonnie squeezes her eyes closed, a bit embarrassed. "I'm beyond pretty." "Again." "I'm beyond pretty, I'm beyond pretty." After that they just stare at each other, with an unfamiliar glint in their eyes. Both not knowing that they're leaning into each other slowly, Damon says,"I don't want you to ever think that you're below them, because you're just as high as them, in all, nothing less. Now, don't go missing again, because I will go looking." he says as he stands up. Bonnie just stares up at him, completely at a loss for words. "Just know that you're more than pretty. Beyond that." Was the last thing he says, before he vamps out, leaving Bonnie shocked and lost.
'Who would've thought? Damon Salvatore' she thought with a smile, as she headed upstairs.
