Chapter 1

The Oakhurst Massacre
(October 31st, 2001. An article found in a magazine describing historical events, Halloween edition)

 

400 years ago in the town of Oakhurst, a horrible massacre occurred, having 2499 of its townspeople dead, along with its mayor, Louis, burned to a crisp. Any survivors stated that the mayor had been discovered with items of the occult, as well as his supposed lover, Owen, a lumberjack that was outcast due to his sickness— had been missing for three days. Later, did they find out not only their mayor was a vampire, but that he had turned Owen as well.

The legend goes that when a newly turned Owen discovered that the townspeople had tied Louis to a pyre and set him ablaze, he went into a rage so strong he killed anyone he could get his hands on in the town.

The survivors had fled far from Oakhurst, having new families until eventually, descendants would be arriving at Oakhurst for personal matters. A few others had arrived as well, wanting new lives, to research, or adventure.

Or perhaps, revenge once more… mwahahaha!
