Work Text:
Vic sighs as the not-quite-hot water of the tour bus shower hits his skin, washing away the grime of the previous night’s show. After saying goodnight to Tony, he’d fallen asleep right away, crashing into a deep sleep with startling efficiency. He’d woken up this morning without the tension that’d been coiling in his limbs in the days beforehand, but feeling a little hollowed out, cold. The still quiet of the bathroom feels like a good hard reset.
Even though it’s not the best shower in the world, it still feels nice. There’s an element of privacy to it that’s hard to find on tour, a feeling of being completely alone with the white noise of the water hitting the plastic floor. It doesn’t quite mend the empty feeling in his chest, but it fills it, for now.
The thing about living on a tour bus though, is that nothing is ever really private. Especially when you’ve all been touring together for well over a decade and already seen each other naked anyway.
A knock sounds on the door to the bathroom, startling Vic out of his thoughts. “Hey Vic, you’re not using the sink, right? Mind if I brush my teeth real quick?” It’s Jaime.
Vic sighs. So much for having some time alone. “Yeah, come in,” he calls back.
Jaime barges in with a grin, closing the door quickly behind him to keep the warmth in. “Thanks.” They’re silent for a few minutes as Jaime goes through his morning routine, Vic still basking under the spray.
As much as Vic had thought that spending time by himself was the way to cure his odd mood that morning, as is usual whenever he thinks that’s a good idea, he was wrong. Even just being in the same space as Jaime, coexisting in comfortable silence, sends some of the warmth he was searching for flooding into his bones. He’s just starting to truly relax, melting into the familiarity of Jaime’s company, when Jaime speaks up. “So, it sounded like you had fun last night.”
It takes Vic a moment to realize what he’s talking about, but as soon as it hits him, red floods his cheeks. He definitely forgot where they were last night, his entire world narrowed down to Tony and the knife. “Shit, was I really that loud? Sorry.”
Jaime laughs, shaking his head. “Nah, it’s cool. I’m glad you had a good time.” He looks over at Vic, gaze blatantly roaming down Vic’s body. He won’t be able to see much with the way the glass is frosted from the waist-down, but it doesn’t stop Vic from shivering at the gesture. There’s a dangerous spark in Jaime’s eyes that from Vic’s experience, means nothing but mischief. “I bet I could make you louder though,” he adds, biting his lip.
Vic groans, rolling his eyes at the cheesy comment, but he feels some of the blood in his veins rush south despite it. He really should say no. He can’t, though. Not when Jaime is looking at him like that. “Fine, get in here.”
Jaime makes a pleased noise and pumps his fist, and it should be stupid but Vic can’t find it anything other than endearing. He strips out of his boxers and sleep shirt in record time and then he’s pushing open the door to the shower, sliding in next to him.
It’s a tight fit. The shower’s really only meant for one person (there’s only so much room on a bus for a bathroom, after all) leaving Jaime nearly pressed up against Vic already, only a few inches of space between them.
Jaime’s hair starts to droop from the spray, and Vic reaches up to push it out of his face. Even after all these years, he can’t help but stare at him reverently. He’s so beautiful, smile lines and grey streaks and all. “We’re getting too old for this, Hime,” he says softly.
Jaime leans into Vic’s palm with a smile, strong hands curling around Vic’s waist. “Speak for yourself, grandpa. I’m in my prime.”
Vic shakes his head, a smile pulling at the corners of his lips against his will. “Dumbass,” he says fondly. His next quip dies on his tongue when he sees the way Jaime’s gaze has shifted, fixated on Vic’s thighs.
Jaime reaches out and carefully traces the lines of the healing cuts there, fingers bumping over raised flesh. “He marked you up good, huh?”
Vic shivers under the touch, eyes fluttering shut as images from last night flash through his mind. His skin tingles at the memory, phantom replays of Tony’s touch ghosting over him. “Yeah.” He opens his eyes to meet Jaime’s stare, dark and ravenous, and he can’t hold himself back anymore from closing the distance between them, pulling him in for a kiss.
It starts out slow, but deep. The sharp taste of mint from the toothpaste Jaime was using floods Vic’s tongue, tingling against his lips. It doesn’t take long for it to escalate, Jaime’s blunt nails digging into Vic’s hips when Vic bites at his bottom lip. Jaime makes a sound that buzzes against his lips, and mouth turns hungry, like he’s trying to steal the air from Vic’s lungs. They part eventually with a shared gasp, and Jaime takes the opportunity to slip his thigh between Vic’s legs, boxing him in against the shower wall.
“Fuck,” Jaime whispers, leaning his forehead against Vic’s. His eyes close for a moment, grip on Vic’s hips tightening. “Vic, you—” When he opens his eyes again, his stare is wild, roving over him restlessly. He’s breathless, and just a touch desperate.
Vic can’t help but feel a little smug about how quickly he was able to make Jaime lose his cool— but then Jaime’s mouth trails down his jaw to his neck, mouthing at the marks that Tony left there yesterday, leaving new ones right beside them, and Vic’s breath catches in his chest, a flash of heat washing over him. His fingers scrabble for purchase against Jaime’s back, eventually curling in Jaime’s hair, pulling him closer. He tips his head back against the shower wall, getting lost in the feeling.
It’s not until Jaime chuckles, his breath ghosting over his throat, that Vic realizes his hips have been moving of their own accord, rutting against Jaime’s thigh between his legs. “Eager, are we?” Jaime teases.
Vic screws his eyes shut, trying to get a hold of himself. Jaime’s looking at him like he wants to eat him alive and he can’t fucking take it. “Just hurry up and fuck me already,” he grits out, voice breaking when Jaime licks a stripe up the column of his throat.
Jaime’s fingers tangle in Vic’s hair and pull, startling a high noise out of Vic’s chest as he leans down to murmur in his ear. “What do you say?”
God damn it. Vic can’t believe how quickly he’s started falling apart. It’s all it takes to get him to crack. “Please.”
“That’s more like it.”
The liquid soap sitting on the small shelf in the shower is no substitute for lube, but it’ll have to do. Jaime opens the bottle with a snap, coating his fingers liberally. His other hand returns to Vic’s hip, gripping tightly. “Turn around for me?”
Vic goes easily, careful not to catch Jaime with his elbows in the tiny space. He feels Jaime’s warmth against his back a moment later, pressing against him. Vic leans his forehead against the cool laminate in front of him, bracing himself with his hands.
It’s quiet for a few moments, only the sound of the water filling his ears, and then Jaime’s pressing a finger into him, slow and deliberate. Vic lets out a shaky breath, hands slipping against the wall a little bit. Jaime’s pace is unhurried as he starts to move, gently curling his finger inside him.
Vic starts to feel the familiar tingle of desperation in his palms, that hunger for more, harder, faster. He grits his teeth, pressing back into the motions of Jaime’s thrusts. “Hime, c’mon—”
Jaime shushes him gently, his grip on Vic’s hip tightening ever so slightly. “Slow your roll, cariño, we’re not in a rush.” He adds another finger, and Vic has to bite his lip to hold back the noise that threatens to leap from his chest. “I wanna take my time with you.”
Vic groans when Jaime scissors his fingers apart, twisting, stretching. “You’re gonna waste all the hot water.”
He feels Jaime’s smile against the back of his neck. “Well, I guess I’ll just have to warm us up then, huh?”
Heat flashes up Vic’s spine, startling a gasp from his lips. He squirms, and Jaime presses closer, his breath hot against Vic’s throat. The movement of his fingers is infuriatingly slow, a steady in, out, in, out, that’s driving Vic insane. “You fuckin’ tease,” he grits out. “When are you gonna actually fuck me?”
“When you start begging,” Jaime replies simply. He curls his fingers and presses, at just the right angle to send a jolt of pleasure crackling through his bloodstream. It steals the words from Vic’s tongue, makes him gasp for breath.
Jaime’s hard. Vic can feel it where he’s pressed up against his back, warm and eager. Despite that, the pace of Jaime’s fingers stays the same— measured, inevitable. “You’re never this fucking patient about anything,” Vic complains, a whining edge making its way into his voice.
“I just wanna make you fall apart,” Jaime murmurs, nipping at the base of his neck. “Is that so wrong?”
Vic shivers, his breaths starting to turn sharp and desperate in his lungs. If that’s Jaime’s goal, it’s definitely working. That cold, empty feeling he’d had earlier is long gone, replaced instead by a feverish heat. “Hime.”
Jaime chuckles as Vic squirms underneath him, the bastard, and presses in even closer, pinning him against the shower wall. “What’s the magic word, pretty boy?”
Vic opens his mouth to reply, but all that comes out is a fragile moan. His head is foggy, he can hardly think— the only thing he can focus on are all the places where Jaime’s skin meets his, the warmth and weight of him.
“Aww c’mon, you said it earlier. I know you can do it again,” Jaime teases. He twists his fingers again, that same steady pace that’s driving all the thoughts from Vic’s head.
Vic’s fingers tremble where they’re pressed to the shower wall. He feels like he’s starting to come apart at the seams, like Jaime has grabbed a trailing thread at his frayed edges and is slowly pulling, unraveling, until all the guts and viscera inside him will fall out and stain the water red. He wants to be taken apart, to become nothing but pieces in Jaime’s arms to be carefully put back together with loving hands.
It takes a few stuttering starts before Vic is able to get his tongue and lips to cooperate. “Hime, please, I can’t— I need—”
Jaime moans, the sound low and warm in Vic’s ear. “That’s it,” he says, breathless. His nails dig into the flesh of Vic’s hip for a moment before he lets go, both of his hands leaving him. Vic makes a noise at the sudden emptiness, and Jaime shushes him gently. “It’s okay baby, I’ve got you.”
Vic’s whole frame is shaking now. He can’t stop the pleas that tumble freely from his lips. He’s terribly, devastatingly alone for a mere moment, and then Jaime’s arms wrap around him again, surrounding him, and he’s pressing in, closer, closer, closer.
Vic chokes on a gasp as the air gets pushed out of his lungs, hands slipping on the slick laminate. All he can think about is how warm and full he feels, a complete contrast from the way he’d been feeling when he first got in the shower. It feels like the warmth is seeping all the way into his bones.
Jaime stops once he’s pushed all the way in, rubbing gentle patterns onto Vic’s hip with a thumb. “Okay?”
Vic nods, bracing his arm against the wall instead, since his hands are failing him. “Move,” he grits out.
Jaime chuckles in his ear. “Bossy,” he teases, but he acquiesces, drawing back slowly, so slowly, Vic swears Jaime is trying to kill him— and then he presses back in with one smooth, unrelenting thrust. The sudden jolt of pleasure through Vic’s system startles a moan out of him, and he covers his mouth with his hand, muffling himself as Jaime starts up a steady pace.
“Oh no you don’t,” Jaime says. His hand wraps around Vic’s wrist, pulling his hand away from his mouth to pin it against the shower wall above his head instead. Vic can’t help but whine at the feeling of restriction, squirming to test his hold. Jaime’s grip holds fast.
“I said I was gonna make you louder,” Jaime continues, leaning down to nose along the line of Vic’s jaw. “Can’t have you skewing the results now.”
The competitive streak in Vic goads him to taunt Jaime— now he’s made it a challenge. “Gonna have to try harder than that,” he pants, the words shaky.
“Oh yeah?” Vic can practically hear the way Jaime’s eyes have narrowed in his voice. The hand that was gripping his waist slides down the back of his thigh instead, fingers hooking underneath to lift it and pin it against the shower wall.
Vic has half a thought about how that stretch is definitely going to turn into a cramp later, but it’s immediately erased when Jaime presses into him again, the new angle making him cry out so loud it echoes against the bathroom walls.
“There we go,” Jaime says, voice low and dripping with smug satisfaction. “Just like that.”
Vic can’t even be upset about the fact that he’s absolutely eating his own words right now, because he just feels so good. He can feel himself melting, limbs turning to jelly, pleasure molten in his veins. He can feel Jaime everywhere, surrounding him on all sides, and he surrenders to his hold, lets himself be supported by his weight.
The world around him is a blur, his focus narrowed down to Jaime and the mounting pressure in his gut. He thinks he must be saying something— can feel his lips moving, feel the vibration of speech in his throat— but the words are lost to the roaring white noise in his ears, the sound of Jaime murmuring in his ear, telling him how good he’s being, how pretty he looks, falling apart for him like this, and that pressure inside him keeps building and building before finally it explodes, everything going white.
He thinks he hears Jaime curse, feels his teeth dig into the meat of his shoulder, but everything feels so distant, like he’s wrapped up in a cocoon of warmth and light. The first sensation he really registers is Jaime’s hands rubbing along his back, kneading at the knots in the muscle there. Vic groans and melts even more, if that’s even possible at this point.
“Welcome back,” Jaime says softly, a grin in his voice. “How’re you feeling?”
“Good,” Vic says. His voice is rough, like when he sings without warming up properly. He doesn’t remember making nearly enough noise to warrant it, but he must’ve.
Jaime hums happily, planting a gentle kiss to the top of his head. “Good.” He shuts off the water to the shower, reaching over Vic to grab the towel he’d draped over the glass earlier. “C’mon, let’s get you dried off.”
Vic mostly lets Jaime guide him through the motions, too out of it still to do it on his own. Jaime doesn’t seem to mind, gently moving his pliant limbs in the right directions until he’s dry and dressed for the day. The two of them emerge from the bathroom in a cloud of steam, and Vic trails Jaime to the living room area in the front.
Tony, who’s sitting on the couch, looks up at them as they emerge. “There you are. Got worried when you weren’t in your bunk.”
“You were looking for me?” Vic asks, surprised.
Tony nods. “I wanted to check on you. I know how you get after scenes sometimes but…” He glances between the two of them. “Seems like you were in good hands.”
“I found him brooding by himself in the shower,” Jaime says with a grin, plopping down on the opposite end of the couch. He pulls Vic down with him, guiding him to sit in the middle.
Tony raises an eyebrow. “I heard.”
“Sorry,” Vic says, feeling his cheeks warm.
Tony shakes his head, a smile pulling at the edges of his mouth. “I told you Jaime was gonna feel left out yesterday.”
Vic rolls his eyes. “He’s the one who decided to leave himself out.”
“Hey!” Jaime exclaims, crossing his arms. “For the record, my pillow and I had a great time last night.”
Laughter spills from Vic’s lips before he can stop it, and the next thing he knows he’s doubled over with the force of it, leaning against Tony’s side for support. Tony grins down at him, carding his fingers through his hair. It feels nice, sends the warm glow of contentment coursing through his veins. If he was a cat, he’d absolutely be purring right now.
“Feel better?” Tony asks him, the snarky edge that’d been in his voice earlier softened out.
“Yeah, thanks.” Vic curls further into his side, tangling his legs with Jaime’s. He’s immensely grateful to have both of them in his life, as bandmates, as friends, as partners. As long as he’s got them by his side, then that’s really all he needs.
