Chapter Text
“I’m a lost cause Doctor. Leave it.”
Owen let out a heavy breath, forcing the finality of the words into his expression.
“No, you’re not. You can stop killing. You can move on…”
Owen glared at his roommate, fist curled up into a ball. “I won’t. I can’t. It’s my fault.”
Legundo’s face fell at that, his… worried… disappointed… horribly annoying eyes left Owen feeling angrier. “It’s not. It’s not your fault Owen.”
“Drop it Doc. I have business to attend to.”
Owen couldn’t stop thinking about his argument with his roommate as he stood at the entrance of Blood Debt Casino. This wasn’t his first time having this argument with Legundo. The man seemed to think that Owen could be fixed… could ‘get better’. Owen disagreed wholeheartedly. He was a bad person, plain and simple. And he was fine with that.
Everything would just be better if Legs would just understand and accept that.
Legs wished Owen would just listen to him for once. He could get better. He had to be able to. He just had to. If Owen couldn’t improve… then… maybe Legs never did. And that… he wasn’t sure if he could handle that.
