Perfect Condition

Summary:

Spock and Jim share their wet dreams

Work Text:

The industrial clatter of Enterprise Edibles’ kitchen—grease-spattered fryers hissing, warp core coffee machine belching steam—fades into a low thrum as Jim Kirk leans against the stainless steel counter. His worn server’s apron is stained with synth-coffee rings and something neon-green from the Orion Deluxe Platter. Across from him, Spock meticulously wipes down the milkshake mixer, his movements precise, economical. The sharp scent of recycled fry oil hangs thick, almost masking the lingering sweetness of spilled Romulan ale drifting from the diner’s back booth. Three Betazoid diplomats, draped in shimmering robes the color of deep space, are the source.

They’ve commandeered the booth for hours, laughing too loud, ordering endless rounds of Terran whiskey and Vulcan port, leaving sticky glasses and psychic echoes of bawdy jokes clinging to the air. Diplomatic immunity shields them like a force field. Jim’s gaze flicks towards the booth, then down to the small, ornate vial tucked into Spock’s apron pocket. Holy water from Risa’s sacred hot springs – essential for some shady deal Spock’s contact promised would net them enough credits to escape this grease trap.

"Those three," Jim mutters, nodding towards the diplomats. One of them, a woman with eyes like polished obsidian, catches his look and winks, projecting a wave of pure, unadulterated lust that makes Jim’s knees wobble slightly. "Think they’d notice if their sacred flask suddenly felt lighter?"

Spock doesn’t look up, his focus on a stubborn smear of synth-chocolate. "The probability of detection remains high, Jim. Their empathic senses are acute, even…" He pauses, nostrils flaring slightly as another wave of psychic revelry washes over them – images of tangled limbs and forbidden fruit. "...even when impaired by excessive ethanol consumption." Annoyance tightens his Vulcan features, a subtle tension around his eyes. He reaches into the cooler beneath the counter and pulls out a dented carton of blue-top milk. "Their continued presence disrupts the establishment’s operational efficiency."

Jim’s lips curl into a familiar, lopsided smirk. His eyes drop pointedly to the carton clutched in Spock’s long fingers. "Nice jug," he drawls, the double entendre hanging ripe in the humid air. The cheap florescent lights gleam off the milk carton’s waxy surface.

Spock freezes. Slowly, deliberately, he sets the carton down. When he looks up, his dark eyes hold an intensity that cuts through the kitchen’s grime. "Oh, James," he breathes, the formal cadence dropping into something low, intimate. "I have waited six years for you to say that."

It’s not just about the milk carton; it’s the years of stolen glances across cramped apartments, shared replicator rations after Sarek’s financial empire collapsed, the unspoken tension simmering beneath every shift in this greasy spoon. Six years of Jim’s teasing proximity, Spock’s Vulcan restraint a fraying thread. Before Jim can muster another quip, Spock moves. It’s not graceful; it’s purposeful, driven.

One hand grips Jim’s hip, the other presses firmly between his shoulder blades. Jim lets out a surprised "Oof!" as Spock bends him forward over the still-warm surface of the industrial oven. The metal radiates heat through Jim’s thin uniform shirt. Spock’s body presses flush against him, lean and strong. Jim can feel the hard line of Spock’s arousal against his ass, the frantic beat of his own heart pounding against the oven door. Spock’s breath is hot on Jim’s neck, lips brushing the sensitive skin below his ear. Jim arches instinctively, pushing back—

The sudden coolness against Jim’s temples makes him gasp. Spock’s fingers withdraw from the psi points, leaving faint impressions. They lie tangled in the sheets of their shared bunk aboard the actual Enterprise, the quiet hum of the ship a stark contrast to the diner’s chaos moments before. Spock’s expression is pure Vulcan perplexity, a slight furrow between his brows.

"Jim," he states, his voice level but carrying an undercurrent of genuine confusion. "I fail to comprehend the appeal of fantasizing about menial food service employment. The Enterprise Edibles scenario lacked… logical coherence."

Jim blinks, the vivid sensations of the dream – the heat, the pressure, Spock’s hands – fading rapidly, replaced by the soft mattress and Spock’s familiar scent of ozone and sandalwood. He runs a hand through his sleep-mussed hair, a lazy grin spreading across his face. "I don’t typically control where my dreams go, Spock. It’s fantasy. What are your wet dreams like?" He nudges Spock’s thigh with his knee, his voice thick with sleep and curiosity. "Bet they involve perfect efficiency reports and zero spilled coffee."

Spock regards him for a long moment, the faintest green flush visible at the tips of his ears in the dim cabin light. Without a word, he lifts his hand again, fingers poised near Jim’s temple. "Perhaps demonstration is more efficient than verbal description," he murmurs.

Jim nods eagerly, closing his eyes.

The connection snaps into place, sharp and clear. Jim is instantly there—not in a diner but on the gleaming bridge of the USS Enterprise. He’s seated in the command chair, the soft blue glow of the viewscreen bathing his face. The familiar sounds—the soft beeps of consoles and the low thrum of the engines—surround him. Dr. McCoy leans against the railing near the science station, arms crossed, his expression pure Southern exasperation.

"Jim, I ain't askin' for a Vulcan blood oath," Bones grumbles, his voice echoing slightly in the bridge's acoustics. "Just your quarterly physical. You dodged the last one like a Denebian slime devil. My medbay ain't decorative."

Jim swivels the chair slightly, flashing Bones his most charming, utterly insincere smile. "Later, Bones. The Rigel system won't chart itself." He gestures vaguely towards the navigation console. "Promise."

From his station, Spock looks up. His dark eyes lock onto Jim’s with unnerving intensity. He rises smoothly, his movements utterly silent on the polished deck. He walks towards the command chair, every step measured, deliberate. The bridge crew seems frozen, Uhura’s fingers hovering over her console, Sulu half-turned in his helm seat, their faces masks of stunned disbelief. McCoy’s jaw literally drops as Spock stops directly before Jim’s chair. Without breaking eye contact, without a single word of explanation, he sinks gracefully to his knees. The crisp fabric of his science blues pools around him. Jim feels a jolt of pure, electric shock – and arousal – tear through him.

This isn't the diner fantasy's rough heat; this is deliberate, reverent, public. Spock’s cool, deft fingers make quick work of Jim’s uniform trousers. Then, Spock’s mouth is on him – hot, wet, impossibly skilled. The sensation is immediate and overwhelming: suction, the flick of a pointed tongue, the scrape of teeth held just shy of pain. Jim’s head slams back against the headrest, a choked moan escaping him. He grips the armrests, knuckles white. The bridge dissolves into a haze of blue light and unbearable pleasure. Spock works him relentlessly, expertly, drawing him deeper, swallowing him whole. Jim bucks helplessly, the command chair creaking. He feels the peak rushing towards him, unstoppable, amplified by the sheer scandalous thrill of it.

"Spock!" he shrieks, the name tearing from his throat, raw and desperate.

His climax hits like a phaser blast, blindingly intense, shuddering through his entire body. Spock takes it all, swallowing every pulse, his gaze fixed upward, locked onto Jim’s ecstatic face. As the last tremors subside, Spock withdraws slowly, meticulously. He rises with the same unhurried grace, straightening his tunic. A single bead of moisture glistens at the corner of his lips. He turns his head, meeting McCoy’s utterly flabbergasted stare.

Spock’s voice is calm, perfectly modulated, cutting through the stunned silence of the bridge. "I have conducted my research, Doctor," he states, cool as liquid nitrogen. "And Jim is in perfect condition."

The connection severs abruptly. Jim jerks back into his own body, gasping, the phantom sensations of the bridge and Spock’s mouth still singing along his nerves. The aftershocks are real, overwhelming. Pleasure detonates low in his belly, radiating outwards in hot waves. He cries out, arching off the mattress, as his own climax rips through him, utterly uncontrolled. Warmth spreads beneath him, soaking the sheets between his thighs.

Panting, drenched in sweat, Jim slowly opens his eyes. Spock is watching him, his expression impassive Vulcan, but his eyes hold a distinct, satisfied gleam. The damp patch on the bed is undeniable. Jim’s cheeks flush crimson, hotter than the diner’s oven. He glares at Spock, the glare mixing intense embarrassment with lingering arousal.

He points a shaky finger. "Not. One. Word."
