Work Text:

Castiel remembered the day perfectly.

It was Christmas Eve. He ran to the market for just a few extra things he needed for dinner. And there he was. Twenty-two, cheeks flushed from the cold, and already drunk. Stumbling through the aisles. Castiel couldn’t look away. Unabashedly staring at this beautiful man. His gaze must’ve weighed a ton because Dean’s green, green eyes found him in no time.

Searingly hot.

The man cocked his head back, an arrogant lilt to him. Lips were so plump, Castiel noticed even from a distance. Broad shoulders. A real skinny waist. Something that would look great featured in a Calvin Klein ad. Castiel had an eye for these things, but with this man, he was sure anyone would agree. It was plain to see. He was meant to be in front of a camera.

Then, the alluring man kissed his fingertips and blew him a kiss, immediately smirking after his brazenness and went on to disappear behind a holiday display. Castiel knew then, quick as that, he needed to speak with him. The store was packed with last minute shoppers which made chasing after the beauty more difficult than it needed to be. Stopping short to keep himself from colliding with several people until finally, he found him in the bakery section, drooling over the freshly baked pies.

“Excuse me?”

Dean turned around with his tongue cheekily between his teeth.

“Well, well, well, why am I not surprised?”

His arrogance didn’t fade even when face to face. It was a good thing. Someone who was just a tease wouldn’t make it very long in Castiel’s cutthroat industry.

Castiel huffed, digging into the pocket of his trench coat. He produced a business card for the young man.

“Have you ever thought about being an actor?”

Confusion briefly fogged his beautiful face, which was even more beautiful up close. A natural speckling of freckles dusted his nose and his cheekbones, the alcohol in his system darkened them with a rosy blush. He had to fight the urge to whip out his phone to take a memento for himself. If he had it his way, the masses would soon come to feel the same. Wanting him as a poster on their walls and in the leading role on their movie screens.

“What?” Dean scrutinized the card in his hands, “Is this for real?”

“Of course. My name’s Castiel Novak and I’m a scout for Lawrence Industries— among other things.”

“A scout, huh?”

“A talent scout, yes.”

“But I haven’t done anything?” His expression was almost boyishly earnest. Castiel gave him a full once over. Taller, if only slightly. Bowed legs that would look killer on the cover of Levi’s. His appreciation bordered on inappropriate.

“Ironically, you didn’t have to. That face of yours could write a substantial check all by itself.” Castiel’s polite smile was full of mirth as he repeated, “Among other things.”  Ultimately, sex appeal was everything.

Dean scoffed, “Are you sure this isn’t some kind of weird pickup line?”

Regrettably, it wasn’t. A rather harsh downside to the job. Hooking up with the talent was frowned upon. Unethical. A headache. Thirty-eight was old enough to know better than to mess around with a fresh twenty-something. No matter how beautiful.

“If it makes you uncomfortable, just call the agency and give them my name. They’ll find you a more appropriate agent. Merry Christmas.”

Castiel turned away from him. He’d said all he needed to and he’d looked all he could allow.

“Wait!” The young man grabbed his arm, “But if I wanted, you would be my agent?”

“Ahem— yes, that’s right. I offer many services.” He inwardly cringed. Technically true but surely there was a better way to phrase it?

“Even though I already made an ass of myself?”

“That comes with the territory. I’m used to it.”

And the way the young man blatantly gazed at Castiel’s lips, “Yeah, I bet you are.”

The moment lingered. He desperately needed to retreat before he did something he'd regret.

He shook out of his grasp, “Okay. Goodbye.”

“You didn’t even get my name!” Castiel waved without looking back. “It’s Dean!”

Those green eyes haunted him all the way home. Temptation still sizzling under his skin. He didn't even realize he'd left without his groceries until late that evening.

Fast forward a year later, and Castiel’s gotten Dean into a number of projects ranging from modeling to commercials to small roles in network television. He’s a very talented man, Castiel reminisced as Dean sunk to his knees and swallowed down his cock. Very talented indeed.

“Fuck Dean, you only have 10 minutes until you’re needed on set.”

He slid off and licked at him, “Pfft. I’ll only need five for this.”

His dressing room was nice but it wasn’t exactly secluded. Someone could walk in at any moment. These trysts were getting more and more reckless. But they couldn’t keep their hands off each other any time they got a modicum of privacy. So Castiel closed his eyes and focused on the warmth of his mouth, vowing to be more responsible next time.

Dean wasn’t exaggerating. He knew exactly how to make Castiel fall apart. The fact that it had been a week since he’d been down his throat definitely moved things along as well, swallowing him back like he was born to do it. Dean was naturally good at anything he put his mind to and thank goodness giving tremendous head was such a priority for him.

Castiel braced himself on whatever furniture was nearby and muffled his pleasure the best he could, careful not to mess up Dean’s hair. They most certainly didn’t have the time to fuss over it afterwards.

He didn’t mean to, he swears he didn’t, but right as he was about to come, he glanced down at Dean and found that he was already watching him, looking up through his lashes. The sight of him like that was the final nail of his undoing, abs tightening as he shuddered involuntarily, their unwavering eye contact a heady and intimate thing.

Dean sucked him clean, a lopsided, wistfully innocent smile on his face as Castiel quickly stuffed himself back inside his chinos.

“Told ya.” He said, wiping his spit-wet lips.

“Shut up.” And his mouth did not twitch upwards. It just didn’t.

Castiel hoisted him from his knees, dusting him off, smoothing his clothes, making sure nothing was out of place and then the script flashed through his mind.

“Don’t you have a kissing scene today??”

Dean’s answering grin was all foreboding mischief, the filthy bastard. “I sure do.”

“Go brush your teeth then! Use lots of mouthwash!”

“Oh, who cares! Serves her right for always feeling me up at parties. I’ve told her no how many times now?”

Castiel shoved a tiny bottle of Listerine in his hands. She was an entitled bitch, sure, but they really didn’t need rumors flying around about his lips tasting like come, now did they?!

“Maybe you should just sleep with her so she can get it out of her system.”

Dean stared him down hard. “Am I something you need to get out of your system?”

Castiel rolled his eyes, “That’s not what I—“

“No, I know, you just pawn me off to everyone so that they don’t learn about you.”

“About us,” Castiel corrected coldly. He didn't exactly love their situation either.

“Couldn’t you at least pretend to be jealous sometimes?”

“You currently have my come coating the inside of your throat." He responded tonelessly, "I have nothing to be jealous over.”

Dean scoffed and gargled his mouthwash to burn off any excess of what remained of Castiel’s essence.

“What about now?”

Castiel sighed and pushed him out of his dressing room. They didn't have time for this argument. “Break a leg.”

“Yeah, yeah.”

It wasn’t typical. Scout turned agent turned manager but Dean had urged him to take on closer roles so they could be together more often. Dean was a very busy young man after all. His free time was limited. But now that Castiel was acting manager, all that free time belonged to him.

It certainly wasn’t his intention when he hunted Dean down in that shopping center. He meant to leave. He meant to never see him again. Foist him off to someone else after he took a fat commission of getting him signed on. And it worked for about a month— dodging phone calls, telling his secretary to lie about him being in the office— before he found Dean leaning against his truck after a long day at work. He had been intent on remaining professional and sending him away. He stomped right up to him, a rejection settled on his lips, ready to be spoken. What he hadn’t expected was that Dean would replace a hello with a kiss.

It was self assured. It was confident. It was… intoxicating. Dean had framed Castiel’s face with his hands and kissed him like it was their last night on earth. He pinned him against his truck, all sweeping inhales and warm tongue. Castiel had clung to him, opened up for him like he hadn’t planned on rejecting his advances just moments before. He had no idea how he'd save himself now that he knew how Dean tasted.

After making out and rutting against each other for what felt like 30 long minutes, Dean ordered Castiel to take him home. No was not an answer he was keen on hearing and frankly it was no longer one Castiel could give. It was to be a casual fling. He wouldn’t let his infatuation grow into anything serious.

Looking back, it was laughable.

Despite his best efforts, Castiel fell for Dean. And he fell hard.

Regardless, he was a man with many industrious walls around him, even a surrounding moat for good measure. He had convinced himself that he was a phase for Dean. He would reach fame and the bounty that came with it. He would see just how sweet the world could taste and he would leave Castiel behind. He would fuck whoever he wanted and end up marrying someone his own age. Castiel went into this knowing it had an expiration date. That’s why he didn’t get bogged down with jealousy. It just wasn’t fair to Dean and would only lead to miserable heartache.

Fast forward another year. Dean’s been on location in Peru for 5 months, shooting some actiony romcom. His manager's office was his first stop for his week-long break where he had Castiel pinned against his desk.

“I missed you so fucking much,” Dean groaned as he kissed up Castiel’s throat.

The feeling was mutual, as Castiel would soon prove by shucking off his pants and bending himself over his own desk, showing off the pretty gemmed plug in his ass.

“I know you’re busy so I took the honor of preparing myself for you.”

Dean laid over him, mouthing at the back of his neck, grinding into him as he opened the front of his pants.

“Never too busy for you, Cas.” Dean whispered all too earnestly, fondling his ass cheek like it was a treasure to touch him. “But I don’t want you like this.”

Castiel felt a brief disappointment before Dean dragged him across the office to his couch. Dean collapsed into a cushion and pat his chiseled thighs, not waiting for Castiel to oblige, he hauled him into his lap.

He laughed jokingly and said, “So you want me to do all the work?”

Dean ran his hands up Castiel’s shirt, along the broad expanse of his back, looking up at him like he hung the moon. He twisted out the plug and said, “So I can do this,”

Dean pulled him down to kiss him, lips full and slow, moaning into it like he’d be satisfied just with this. Castiel reached behind him and steered Dean to his hole, slowly sinking down on him, gasping at his girth.

Castiel had envisioned Dean wiping everything from his desk and fucking him roughly. He’d expected bruises and things breaking as they rocked his desk to smithereens. He hadn’t pictured the slow filling, the languid rolls, the gentle glides of tongue. The soft embrace of his arms or the sweet sighs from his lips. Castiel’s heart felt full as well which gave him an overwhelming— humiliating— urge to cry.

He held Dean’s face just as Dean had held his that first time, riding him like they had all the time in the world. Kissing deeply, tilting his head so he could go even deeper, honeyed moans spilling unbidden. Both so engrossed in each other, they couldn’t do much else.

So when someone knocked on his door, he had no choice but to tell them to fuck off and continue with what he was doing. Dean smiled agreeingly and that’s when he sealed the deal with an affirming I love you.

Castiel pretended he hadn’t heard him but it was obvious he had with the way his kisses got needier and his hips chased that much quicker. Dean followed it up by chanting the declaration over and over. I love you, I love you, I love you. On and on it went.

Castiel kept his eyes tightly shut, kissing him until he could only pant, shifting his hips with intolerable purpose. Castiel held his face firmly, forehead pressed into Dean’s as he quietly gasped and twitched, coming onto Dean’s chest untouched. Promptly, Dean followed him over, pulsing inside his quivering hole, filling him after being empty for so long. Dean’s arms wrapped tightly around his waist, kissing Castiel’s lax lips.

“Cas— tell me you missed me.”

Castiel was finally able to kiss him back. “I missed you.”

Dean cradled his face and Castiel’s hands slid to hold his wrists.

“Now tell me you love me.”

Castiel stopped breathing, face crumpling in his steadfast hands. Dean pulled him away so he could get a good look at him and Castiel cautiously opened his eyes to meet his gaze. His expression was open and beautiful. Not an ounce of remorse.

“I love you, Dean.”

A grin split his face that made him even more beautiful and they met in a crushing kiss.

Dean did this sometimes. Meticulously broke down his walls to get a little vulnerability out of him. It was challenging, to be sure. Especially when Castiel considered himself to be doing Dean a favor by "not getting attached." But Dean never let him withdraw for long. Dean had no doubts about them. And maybe Castiel would learn to be the same.

Fast forward two years later and there’s a scathing headline on Castiel’s desk depicting their very "taboo" relationship, made public now that they were engaged. But Castiel wasn’t concerned with that right now, not when he was currently under his desk, fit between Dean’s legs with his cock in his mouth.

Dean, however, felt like reading excerpts.

"'Was Winchester groomed and prayed upon??' Ha! I seduced you!"

Castiel pulled off briefly to scold, “Please keep it down.”

He resumed his pace as Dean resumed reading.

"Unfair advantage? Pfft, I worked my ass off years before I got that role.” His fingers tangled in Castiel’s hair, pressing him down a little further. “Fuck Cas, that feels good.”

About time he noticed.

“Those stupid assholes! Don’t they know how lucky I am?”

Castiel didn’t care about Them anymore. He spent years being uptight and overly cautious. It was mostly for Dean’s sake, he knew how horrible these vultures could be and didn’t want them to get their teeth into Dean. But at a certain point, he had to learn to trust him at his word. Dean wanted to go public. Dean squashed all his doubts. And now Castiel was free. It was out in the open. Nothing left to do but move on. Move on and celebrate, more like. Hence the under the desk activity.

“Oh shit— mm. Ah. Just like that.”

Dean was of course more irritated at how they portrayed Castiel like a criminal. Not concerned in the slightest for his own career. Claiming if his fans or agency has a problem with it, he’d happily go somewhere else. It was youthful arrogance. But he had the talent to back it up so perhaps it was just practical.

Either way, Castiel was the one with an earful of Dean’s sweet moans and a mouthful of his thick cock, so he really didn’t give a crap what others had to say about it. Fuck em. He was going to marry the love of his life, sixteen years younger or not. He would not feel shame about it anymore.

The next events happened like this:

Dean spilled warm come down his throat.

His secretary barged in with a: Mr Novak?—Oh!

His office door slammed shut.

Castiel snorted and said come almost shot through his nose, causing him to choke.

Dean broke into a fit of laughter and said, “Whoops. Guess I forgot to lock the door.”

Turned out, there was actually still a tiny bit of shame to go around.

Castiel would've glared at him but he was still coughing.

A timid knock broke through the awkwardness and then: "Congratulations."

Dean laughed even harder, folded over himself trying to pat Castiel's back, and sang out, "Thank you~!"

It was sure to be a moment Castiel would never live down.

Notes:

apparently this is exactly how charlie hunnam became an actor: publicly drunk on christmas eve and blew a kiss at a lady who turned out to be a scout. so naturally, my destiel-rotted brain did what it always does and thought: awe! but imagine if it happened to dean and cas instead??
