tt was an early evening on a Tuesday in September at a very big bookstore. You can see high school students in their uniforms or college students hanging out or studying at the tables near the little coffee shop in the middle of the big store. There were other shoppers walking around the isles trying to find their next book to read for fun or their textbook needed to study.
In the top left hand corner, there was a girl with her wavy pink hair in a mid ponytail, her eyes brown, tanned skin smiling while reading a fantasy romance book. She was wearing a black oversized hoodie, jeans, and some black vans. On the table next to her was a basket filled with 10 different romance books, and a half drank melted caramel frap she got from the cafe in the store an hour ago. She was getting to the juicy part where the main male lead was about to confess to the main female lead when she heard a voice over the intercom. "Attention Moonlight guests: Allison, if you are here, your husband has called in. Again." The pink haired girl froze in her seat and closed her book. Hating herself for dog earring the page she was on. A male high school student who got distracted from studying by the announcement noticed the pink haired girl freeze in her seat after hearing the announcement. He arched his eyebrow in amusement, watching the women in her seat. "Go ahead, sir." they heard the lady say.
A male sighing can be heard over the speaker. "Shocker, your phone is off again. But I know your ass is at Moonlight again, Brat." The voice was recognizable. It belonged to the number 2 hero; Dynimight. Aka Katsuki Bakugo, Allison's husband. You can hear the gasps and murmurs in the store. "Listen here. You are done shopping for books. We were just here last week for your birthday. You are not getting any more books, you hear me." He let out a growl while saying the last part like it was a threat. The teen only looked at the so-called Allison in shock as he saw her giggle at the so-called threat. "I have frozen your credit card. They will not work. Whatever fucking books you have in your basket put them back right now."
Allison pouts and crosses her arms at her chest as everyone hears him sigh over the intercom. The teen has stopped studying and just watches her interaction with the voice that is coming over the intercome. It was more intertaning. "I have sent over your body guard to bring you home. You have 30 minutes to get home, so help me. " She groans and opens the book she was currently reading to undo the dog ear when she noticed her favorite bodyguard walk up to her.
"Thank you for letting me make the announcement ma'am." Then we hear the phone call end before we hear the lady say again. "Better hurry up, Allison." Then laughs because this has happened too many times before. Then they hear the intercom shut off.
She smirks as she sees James walk to her. He was wearing his usual uniform of black slacks, ironed white button-down shirt, and black tie. He had short brown hair and dark brown, almost black eyes. She leaves the dog ear down on the page and closes the book. She stands up and smiles when he walks up to her. She giggles, "Hello James. I see that he sent you to pick me up."
He gives Allison a small smile. "Yes, he has ma'am."
"Is it true that he did freeze my card?" He nods, and she pouts while crossing her arms over he chest. "Hmph." Then she gives a sweet smile. "Do you still have my secert card?"
He chuckles and shakes his head before reaching into the right side of his blazer and pulls out her pink credit card.
She squeals and claps her hand happily before reaching for it. "His mistake for sending you to pick me up." She chuckles.
He lifts up his hand and says, "2 books only."
The teen chuckles in amusement while watching her pout and bat her eyes at him. "Just 2?"
"Yes, or none at all."
Her shoulders slack down and whines, "Fine." He chuckles. She walked back to her desk and grabbed the romance book she was reading and another romance book out of the basket.
He grabs the basket and smirks, "I'll take that. I know you well enough to seek a book." She chuckles and winks at him.
"Let's go, James." She notices the teen watching them before putting a finger to her lips and winks. He chuckles and goes back to studying after the two leave.
They walk up to the register, and one of the cashiers smile at them. "Good evening, Allison."
Allison chuckles, "Good evening, Vanessa." She puts the 2 books down.
Vanessa laughs, "You never listen to your husband, do you?" She scans the books.
She chuckles, "Nope." She scans the card on the machine and grabs the books while James puts the basket on the empty checkout spot.
James smiles at the lady. "Good evening, Ma'am."
Vanessa smiles, "Good evening, sir." She looks back at Allison. "Thank you for visiting, and have a good night."
Allison waves at her goodnight, and they walk out the car that was waiting for them.
(TIME SKIP TO HOME)
James helps her out of the back passenger seat. She smiles and hands him the books. "You know where to hide them." They hear someone clear their throat behind them.
Allison gasps and turns around quickly and sees Katsuki standing in front of them, glaring at her with his arms crossed at his chest. She squeaks and hides the books behind her back. "H-hi baby." Her voice cracks from nervousness. She waves at him.
He looks at the hand behind her back and then back at her with his right eyebrow arched. He turned to James and held out his hand. "Give it here, James." James chuckles lightly before reaching inside his jacket and handing Kat the secret card. "You're dismissed for tonight. See you in the morning."
James slightly bows. "Yes, sir." He smiles at Allison. "Ma'am"
She chuckles, "Goodnight, James."
He nods and goes back to the car before driving away.
Allison looks back at Kat and smiles. He sighs and giggles while he wraps his arms around her waist, pulling her into him. "What am I gonna do with you, Brat."
She giggles and says, "You know you love me." While he kisses her temple.
He hums, "Yes, I do." Je grabs the books from her hand. "Wow, only 2?"
"James only let me get 2."
He chuckles and grabs her hand while they walk back to their house. "Which ones did you get this time?"
Her eyes lit up and sparkled and reached for the books in his eyes and explained about the books she got. He looks at her happy face as they enter his office with such love in his eyes. He walks to his desk and pulls her onto his lap, where she sat sideways. He kisses her lips softly. "Never change love. I love you."
She smiles and blushes and kisses his cheek. "I love you too, Kat."
