Forbidden Fruit

Summary:

That’s when you saw the figure in your doorway.

Your eyes locked onto it. You couldn’t tell if it was moving due to the darkness of your bedroom shadowing it. You opened your mouth to speak.

Still, nothing.

Then, you realized something about the way it looked. The red, fleshy face. The... Thorns….

Everything clicked into place.

It was the thing from that video. The thing that spoke to you. That promised its eternal presence in exchange for your freedom.

No sooner than a blink was it hovering over you. The air left your lungs in a fit of unbridled terror. It had to crane its neck to stare down upon you. The top of its head nearly grazed the ceiling.

“I can see you.”

Work Text:

You were hungry.

Famished, actually. You had just returned home from work and found that there was… Nothing, in your fridge.

So, when an email promising free food via a totally-not-suspicious link was sent to your inbox, you were ecstatic.

So ecstatic, in fact, that you didn’t even bother considering the authenticity of the email. Or the link. You didn’t even bother to give the sender’s address a cursory glance.

Instead, you clicked the provided link with the vigor of someone who hadn’t eaten in years.

Your face glowed with a wide grin. Your eyes were blown wide in anticipation — you could just taste the pizza on your tongue.

Then… You felt it beginning to falter.

A minute passed.

Then another.

You blanked at the infinite loading icon. Your stomach growled, and you groaned a bit in frustration.

“Can you fucking load?” You mumbled and smacked the side of your computer. It was ancient — bulky in all its 2003 charm — but it never took this long to load.

Eventually, irritation overcame hunger. You went to close the window, but your cursor wouldn’t move.

Your brows furrowed. Your eyes flickered across the screen and down to your keyboard as you spammed it for a secret solution while shaking your mouse around.

Christ!” You held your chest and flinched backward, taken aback by the monstrosity that filled the screen.

Its face looked like it was melting. Black thorns protruded from its head, pointing every which way.

That wasn’t the worst of it, though.

Its voice. That soft, eerie, calming, disconcerting voice. It flooded your senses and rooted you in place. Your freewill dissipated as it seemed to speak directly to you.

Every word it spoke replaced your ability to think. Its likeness nestled in the folds of your brain like a parched leech.

Then, the screen went black. You blinked back to earth.

You spotted your wild reflection — wide-eyed, mouth ajar as your brain processed what the hell had just happened.

You rubbed your eyes. Yawned. You were exhausted. Strangely, your debilitating hunger was a thing of the past. You looked up at the clock hung on your wall: 7:43 PM.

It wasn’t too early to go to sleep… Was it?

You stood from your desk chair. Your feet trudged along the carpeted floor of your bedroom as you made your way over to your bed. Each footstep grew heavier than the last.

With a huff, you collapsed onto it.

The groaning trumpets in your ears did nothing to deter you from sleep. You were out right when your head hit the pillow.

Your eyes were heavy with the remnants of a dreamless sleep, but you were aware of your surroundings.

Enough to hear your bedroom door as it creeeeaked open.

The sound was isolated due to the midnight silence — you heard it loud and clear. It was a struggle, but your eyelids eventually lifted. The angle between your ceiling and wall stared back at you.

You acted as if to sit up. But you couldn’t. You went to lift your hand. You couldn’t. Your heart accelerated as panic overcame you.

It was as if your body was being held down by the weight of the sky. You felt like Atlas.

The top of its head grazed the ceiling.

I can see you.”

You stared back; you could do nothing else. You were completely and utterly terrified and at its mercy. Gruesome images of your dead body being devoured — your innards stuck between its teeth and dribbling down its chin — flooded your brain.

Its jaw popped and stretched wider as it continued speaking to you — a haunting facsimile of human speech.

Do not be afraid. I come to you bearing a message of utmost importance.”

Its words surprised you — more so its literacy, really. You didn’t expect it to be so… Formal.

You are in danger, mortal. Terrible danger… Did you know that?” Obviously, you were silent. It continued regardless.

Luckily for you, though, I have a solution. You simply must listen to me if you wish to survive this.”

You could say — do — nothing. You had no clue what it was talking about anyway. You were too preoccupied with the proximity of its gaping maw to your face — the sharp teeth that lined the inside of it. They glinted in the sliver of moonlight that shone past your curtains, as if mocking you.

Are you going to kill me?” was a recurring thought. Its head tilted an increment.

You will not surely die. That isn’t the intention in my being here.”
That caught you off guard. You wanted to know what it wanted from you more than anything else.

Then why are you here? Were… You the one who sent me that email?”

I spread myself however I see fit, something you shall come to understand in due time.”

You preferred telephone for more important matters, but you held your tongue. You didn’t want it to get frustrated and decide you were too stupid to keep alive.

O...kay?”

Its uncanny smile lit up your mind. It felt off, and not only because of the way it abnormally stretched its face. Its words were riddled with deception and malice.

You will make for a most wonderful host. Indeed, a fine missionary to enact the feast.”

That’s when it moved to hover over you, quite completely. Your eyes widened when you felt its weight on top of you — it wasn’t as heavy as its staggering height made you assume it would be, but it was still jarring nonetheless.

Bear with me now, hostess. Try not to resist too much.”

That sounded like a threat, if anything. Your mind was utterly blank. If it was planning what you suspected it to be, then you were entirely defenseless to stop it.

What are you—“ Your thought was cut off when something heavy weighed down your lower abdomen. Your panic ramped up again.

Wait!! Wait wait wait no I don’t think—“

Do not think then, hostess,” it breathed heavily with its words as you felt the appendage twitch above you.

This may hurt.”

You held your breath when you felt something prod at your entrance. You were unable to make a sound, to physically prevent it. You felt tears prick at your eyes as it tore into you, dry and unprepared. Your breathing halted at the abrupt intrusion.
Wonderful…” it sighed as it bottomed out inside of you, “Simply wonderful.”

Your wide eyes stung with fallen tears as it retreated, just to slam back inside of you without warning. Its subsequent, unrelenting pace gave you no time to get used to it. Your body jerked up to the headboard with each powerful thrust.

Your tears are futile, hostess.” its voice was everywhere, surrounding you at all angles. “Be still, and know that this is for your own good.”

Your legs cramped as it spread you further, its fullness impossibly deep inside of you. You flinched when you felt the claws of an unseen hand grip the meat of your thigh.

Your tightness involuntarily squeezed around its uncomfortable length, causing its hips to stutter. Its claws dug further into your leg, most likely drawing blood.

You… Are doing very well.” It breathed in erratic, short bursts as its hips slammed against yours. “Just a… Moment longer.”

Its movements became sloppy and uneven. Your eyes squeezed shut as you felt yourself reaching your climax, but you couldn’t move your hips along with it. You couldn’t even rub yourself for a bit of reprieve. You were forced to wait for it to get you there on its own.

Thankfully, it didn’t take very long.

Just as it filled you to the hilt, your vision exploded with static stars, and your arousal exploded around and onto it.

Yes. That is perfect.” its voice was a low growl at this point, as opposed to its previous smoothness.

Its claws further dug into your thigh, and its hips paused with a final snap, flush against yours.

A bountiful seed, a… Fruitful harvest.”

It mumbled near-incoherently as it filled you with an unknown fluid. You felt it flood out of you and pool around your hips, soaking and staining your bedsheets black in the process. You were too fucked out to care.

You could barely register your surroundings due to the dull ringing in your ears. Your eyes threatened to close. Its body was a blurry outline as it slowly pulled out of you. Your bed creaked as its retreating weight — the loss of its added warmth — left you shivering.

Your sacrifice will not be in vain, hostess. You will be remembered for your selflessness.”

Your eyes cracked open as it spoke, its face level with yours. You still couldn’t move or speak, but you didn’t even want to. Its claustrophobic proximity was of little concern to you at that point.

Until we meet again.”

You succumbed to the exhaustion as it continued to watch over you. Soon, sleep claimed your sore body.

And it would be there when you awoke. Forever, it would be there.
