Couriway gleamed in the sun. Maybe he was just always pretty, or maybe it was the sunlight. How it made him glow in a way that just seemed heavenly. Couriway was in a purple dress with gorgeous black accessories that just tied the outfit together so beautifully. His wings perfectly framed his face, as yellow as a cartoonishly drawn sun.
“You good?” Couriway said with a look of worry on his face.
“Yep,” Feinberg tried to crack a smile, but he was sure it looked fake. Couriway chuckled at the attempt.
“Alright, just tell me if you need anything,” Couriway began to walk away, leaving Feinberg looking at where he was.
Maybe it was the way the avian’s wings spread out more when he was near Fein, or how Couri smiled at the sight of him. How the wings spread out to hug Fein every time he was nearby.
Or it might be the feeling Fein has for Couri.
Couri’s purple dress was stunning for the party they decided to go to. Feinberg pretended Couri wore it for him. The dress was so gorgeous Fein could only stare. Stare at the beauty of the man he couldn’t have.
Fein tried to strike up conversations with other HBG members there, but no one wanted to listen to him practically talk about his doomed love life.
“Hey Fein!” The familiar voice makes Fein’s ears perk up. “Talk to anyone else or you still miss me?” Couri winks at him as he feels face heat up.
“No,” The word sounds more strained than he wanted it to sound.
“Well, I’ll leave you to it! Go eat some food Mime made!” The world must have heard his silent plea for Couriway to leave.
Maybe one day Feinberg would have the courage to tell Couri. How he wished to.
But not all wishes don’t come true.
