“Toya, could you come here for a second?”
Akito was laying down comfortably on the couple’s shared bed, while Toya sat at the office desk in their room, seemingly working on something. He supposed they had been getting busier recently. Assignments were beating them up, not to mention their daily practices, and then holding events and performing on top of all of that. It was safe to say that Toya was quite focused on whatever he was doing on his laptop.
“Just a second, love. I’m almost done with this draft,” Toya responded, his eyes glued to his screen as the sound of his keyboard tapping filled the silence of their room.
“Please? It won’t take long,” Akito asked one more time. Toya let out a sigh. He watched as the other stretched his arms before getting out of his chair. Akito smiled softly at Toya as he approached him, almost letting out a chuckle once he noticed the confusion on the taller male’s face.
“Is something wrong?” Toya asked, standing on Akito’s side of the bed as he looked at him, slightly tilting his head. Akito was always reminded of how dogs did the same thing whenever he saw Toya do it, but for some reason it didn’t bother him as much as anything else dog related usually did.
Akito beckoned him closer, Toya leaning down until they were almost face to face. In the blink of an eye, Akito leaned in and gave his boyfriend a peck on the cheek. Before Toya could respond, or even react, Akito was already pushing him away, giving him a small pat on the back and a cheeky smile.
“Okay, you can go back to workin’ now,” Akito said with a grin. Toya’s face seemed to go through a mix of emotions. First shock, then a slight fluster, and finally a small furrow of his eyebrows.
“That’s not fair,” Toya remarked, his voice firm. He leaned down again, their faces right in front of each other once more. “I didn’t get to kiss you back.”
Oh his sweet, sweet, Toya. Always making sure he received as much love back, if not more, than he gave. He felt the blue haired boy cup his face, immediately leaning into his touch.
“Well, you’re so busy I assumed you didn’t have time to,” the younger said, a slight tease to his tone. He looked into grey eyes, noticing a sort of determination glowing in them. God, he loved his boyfriend.
He closed his eyes as Toya leaned in, fully expecting a kiss on the lips. He felt a kiss on his cheek, then one on his other cheek, then on the tip of his nose, and finally one of his forehead. Akito frowned once he noticed Toya pulling away.
“Hey, aren’t you forgetting something?” Akito asked, his disappointment evident in his tone, as he pointed at his lips. Toya smiled at him, a way that wasn’t unlike how he himself smiled at him a few seconds ago.
“I would, but apparently I’m too busy to do so,” Toya responded, teasing him just as Akito had done so beforehand. Akito scoffed, pulling Toya’s arm hard enough so that the other was tumbling onto the bed. He felt satisfied at the surprised gasp the taller let out.
“You cheeky little..!” Akito grumbled as he pinched the boy’s cheeks. Toya adjusted his position so that he was laying on top of him, acting like a weighted blanket, or a very large teddy bear. His boyfriend began to chuckle, causing Akito to let out a laugh too.
Toya leaned in once more, closing the distance between them as Akito’s eyes fluttered shut. Akito wrapped his arms around Toya, holding him tightly, as Toya’s hand found its way onto Akito’s cheek, cupping his face once more.
They stayed like that for a few seconds (Akito wished it was longer) before pulling away. Toya’s head rested on Akito’s shoulder. The ginger brought his hand up to gently pet his partner’s blue hair, feeling himself relax into the pillows he was laying on.
“I love you,” Akito said, a light smile on his face. He felt Toya’s head move, the other now softly kissing his jaw.
“I love you too,” Toya replied. Akito sighed in content as he continued kissing his jaw, then his neck and collar bone, before suddenly coming to a stop.
“Ah, right.. Akito, I still need to..” The boy trailed off, sitting up with hesitance, as if he didn’t want the moment to end. Akito chuckled, ushering Toya off the bed. Once he was standing up, he gave him three light pats on the back and a slight push.
“Yeah, yeah, go finish whatever you're working on, man,” Akito smiled. He noticed Toya smiling back at him before he turned away, walking back to his desk to finish his assignments, seemingly more motivated than before.
