Faded Memories

Summary:

With a past coming back to haunt her, Y/N must figure out if she’s going to fight for what she wants or will she simply keep running from her problems?

Chapter 1: Info

Chapter Text

First off, I own no characters aside from Y/N and her storyline. This fic is set in a time where UA is a university not a high school, so all the main cast are adults aged 19 or 20 for most. Characters older or younger than that will remain their original age, only the students ages are different.

This fic will contain spoilers from the manga as well as the MHA movies. It will also contain mature themes such as canon typical violence, death, drug/alcohol use, and sexual acts. This fic is intended for a mature audience, do not interact if underage.

Now, my version of a/b/o is slightly different from others so here is a little info on how things work.

Subgenders

Alpha

Alphas are typically larger in stature and have sharp, enlarged canines on both the top teeth and bottom. Like all subgenders, they have retractable claws, though theirs tend to be longer. In terms of behavior, they are typically the most aggressive of the subgenders and highly protective. They have the ability to use their alpha voice to command   another subgender. Their scents usually have some sort of spice note to it that intensifies during rut. Typically 2-3 times a year, alphas go through ruts   for their cycles. They also form a knot at the base of the alphas member. The knot is a bundle of muscles that expand when the alpha is close to climaxing and is pushed into their partner to lock themselves in to ensure successful breeding. Female alphas are physically different from any other alpha as they have both sets of reproductive organs. They are equipped with a vagina, womb, and ovaries, same as any other female but instead of a clit, they have an average-below average size cock along with testes that are inside the body, alongside their ovaries and they do still form a knot at the base of their member. Due to them having both systems, alpha females can both impregnate any other female and omega males or become pregnant by any male

Beta

Betas typically have more of a calming presence, tend to help mediate pack disagreements, and have the best sense of smell of all subgenders. Their canines are the same size as a standard human but with a sharper point and their scent is typically very earthy or floral, more neutral scents. Beta males can impregnate any female subgender and omega males. Beta females can bear children by any male subgender and alpha females. Beta males can at times go through a pseudo rut to assist an omega in heat. They are completely lucid during these pseudo ruts and a much smaller, though still effective, knot will form at the base of their member. Similarly, beta females can go through a pseudo heat, producing slick to help them be able to withstand an alphas knot. These pseudo cycles are typically triggered by their mate or fellow pack mates rut or heat. They are completely aware of what’s going on during this time and they do not feel the pain or discomfort of a real cycle, but their stamina does increase to help them keep up with their partners needs.

Omega

Omegas are usually on the small side, only their canine teeth on top are elongated but not quite to the extent of an alpha. Their scents tend to have a sugary sweet note to them and they are usually effected by scents much more than the other subgenders. They go through heat 1-2 times a year where they produce much more slick than usual and have a higher chance at becoming pregnant. Male omegas are physically different from any other omega as they have both sets of reproductive organs. They are equipped with a vagina, womb, and ovaries, same as any other female but instead of a clit, they have an average-below average size cock along with testes that are inside the body, alongside their ovaries. Due to them having both systems, male omegas can both impregnate any other female or become pregnant by any male and alpha females. When pregnant, their chests do swell and produce milk, same as any female.

Prime Omega

Primes have the ability to command all   subgenders and can resist commands from alphas. Their forms are similar to typical omega males/females but their scent has notes of both sweet and spicy. One major difference between primes and standard omegas is that they can have a full litter of pups, whereas a standard omega can have 1-2 max each pregnancy. A prime omega on average has 2-4 pups with each pregnancy depending on how many eggs are released during ovulation. The max a prime can carry is 6 but highly likely pups will either arrive early and typically smaller than an average baby. Multi-father litters are a possibility as well, so long as each occur within a 48 hour timeframe from when the first insemination occurs. The more time in between, the more likely it is that any and all pups were fathered by the first. Despite their high fertility rates during their cycle, outside of their heat, fertility is near nonexistent. Same as standard omegas, they usually have one or two heats a year.

Presenting

The stage in which someone goes through puberty. It occurs in two stages, the first occurring anywhere between 11-13 years old which is when pups experience a soft heat or rut. Unlike when they are older, there is nothing sexual about these cycles. They are purely meant to prepare the individual for what’s to come later in life. Newly presented omegas will feel the need to nest, collect items scented by loved ones, need comfort and would be very emotional. During their first soft heat, their scent will change as well, the milky note that identified them as a pup will shift into something sweet that’s typical of an omega. Alphas experiencing their first soft rut will become much more irritable and aggressive, prone to sudden mood swings, and will seek isolation. Their scent will shift to reflect the spiced note of alphas. Betas are unpredictable and can experience any combination of these or none as their milk scent changes to a natural earthy beta scent. Omega males and alpha females are the only ones who know their subgender at birth, as they are born with both sets of genitalia. The second stage of presenting occurs any time between 17 and 20 where those experiencing soft heats with their cycle will have their first true heat. In addition to the changes they felt previously, they will start producing slick and their scent will increase. They will also begin cramping and feeling the need to mate. This will be the first time their omega or beta takes control during their heat. For alphas, they experience their first true rut, it’s the first time a knot will form at the base of their member, as well as feeling sexual urges, their alpha taking over and wanting to mate.  Again, betas tend to be unpredictable and can experience a pseudo heat/rut at this time as well.

Pre-Heat

Occurs 2-3 days before heat begins, symptoms varying from person to person. The omega or beta going through their cycle might become more emotional and temperamental, experiencing both fatigue and an aggressive increase in appetite as their bodies prepare for their heat. They tend to wear their mates or pack members clothes, taking comfort in their scent to help relax themselves. They will experience light spotting during their pre-heat, similar to a light period.

Heat

A cycle lasting about a week, where an omega or beta   is at their highest hormonal cycle and fertility rate. Their bodies pump out an excessive amount of their sweet smelling pheromones along with slick to lure in a mate with the intent being to be impregnated. As the name suggests, their core temperature elevates drastically, leaving them hot and uncomfortable, more often than not, finding clothing and certain fabrics touching their skin unbearable. They do experience varying levels of cramping, ranging from mild discomfort to debilitating pain in the lower abdomen. Heating pads or a hot bath can help alleviate the cramping but the most effective is sexual release, especially when it ends in them knotted by an alpha or beta as the swollen knot keeps pressure on some of the muscles trying to contract, and relaxes the tension in the other muscles, staving off the majority of the cramping. During this time, their subgender is fully in control, leaving them vulnerable.

Nest

Made by omegas or prime omegas, they are a comfortable and safe space meant for the omega and their pups. They are typically made on a bed or wherever they feel the safest. Nests are often made out of pillows, blankets, stuffed animals, and clothes that had been worn by their pack mates, just anything soft and a comfortable fabric. Others know not to disturb an omegas nest and to never enter their nest without permission. Omegas tend to be extremely territorial over their nest.

Pre-Rut

Occurs 2-3 days before an actual rut, the alpha or beta having an increased appetite, napping frequently, and likely showing their partner more affection, especially with touch, while becoming more aggressive towards others.

Rut

An alpha or betas hormonal cycle which occurs 2-3 times a year for 3-4 days. Their pheromones and commands   are stronger and harder to resist during this time. Their sex drive is high and they need less time to rest in between sessions before being able to knot again. During this time, they are much more aggressive, dominant, and possessive. They are incredibly aroused during this time, that drive to breed near constant. If they spend their rut with someone, they will be highly possessive and protective over them, likely to attack even a fellow pack mate if they feel the other is too close or somehow a threat.

Den

The living space of an alpha or beta, they’re safe space. Typically their bedroom, but can be any private room they are frequently in. It will be filled with only their scent, typically kept cool and dark. They tend to be possessive of their den.

Subgender eyes

An eye color that shows when their subgender is more in control than themselves. Alphas range from shades of red and black, betas are yellow, and omegas are typically purple or blue.

Scent glands

Patches of skin that is sensitive to touch and releases their scent from these glands. They can become raised or swollen when actively stimulated or irritated by wearing scent patches or covering them for too long. It can be easy to tell another’s emotions based on how their scent is effected. Emotions can influence a scent, making the notes smell rotten, soured, bitter, or a wide variety of changes. How strong the emotion is, the more intense the shift in their scent. Scent gland locations: left and right side of the neck at the junction between the neck and shoulder and the inner wrists. They will rub these glands against an item or another person with the intent of covering them in their scent in what is considered an intimate act called scenting.

Slick

Slick is a semi clear bodily fluid secreted by omegas and beta females during heat or when aroused. It both tastes and smells like a stronger, sweeter version of the omega or betas own scent and acts as a natural lubricant as well as almost an aphrodisiac when consumed.

Primal

Someone who prefers to let their subgender take over frequently and is much more in tune with their subgender than others. Often looked down upon, seen as being feral or out of control despite them actually having more control.

Sub Drop

A moment were a subgender is forced to take control in order to protect themselves. Could be a reaction to an action done to them or an intense negative emotion. They become semi-unresponsive, almost as if they're in a wakened comatose state. Their subgender is fully in control at this time and typically reacting solely in a sense of self preservation. It’s possible they could become incredibly violent if they perceive a threat. Their scent is similar to someone who’s seriously sick, their scent soured. Usually they can be brought out of the drop by being made to feel safe. Spending an extended amount of time in drop can have negative effects to a persons subgender and their own mental health. If excessive, can result in death, similar to a heart attack, the organ giving out.

Collars

A necklace or choker that symbolizes a sense of ownership or a claim made by an alpha. Typically given to and worn by omegas but can be worn by any subgender. Collars are often something shiny or lacy, sometimes with the alphas name on it. Often given as a courting gift.

Courting

The period of time that can also be referred to as dating. A courting gift is typically given to the potential mate and they will give a courting gift in return if they accept. The amount of time spent courting varies before they decide to become mates. Can either have a traditional wedding to claim one another as mates, or claim mateship through marking. Both are seen as equally official.

Marking

Marking is when the fangs of another bite into a scent gland, releasing a venom-like substance from their fangs to mix their intended mates scent with their own. Marking, or also called bonding, is essentially a form of marriage with the visible bite mark and mixed scents signifying they’ve been claimed. These mating bites do fade as their mates scent fades from their scent gland, shifting back to their original scent if a mark is not redone at least once a year.

Sounds

Omega

Keening

A high pitched wail typically used to indicate an omega who’s distressed or upset and in need of comfort. Used most often when accompanied by strong negative emotions or by an omega in heat and distressed

Trilling

Somewhat similar to a purr, it’s a high pitched rolling “r” that emits from the back of the throat used to show excitement or ask for attention in a much softer, less demanding way than keening.

Chirping

A sharp, high pitched call used to express happiness but also to call the attention of others (pups especially) and get them to come to the omega.

Purring

Low, continuous sound that vibrates from the chest. Used to indicate the omega is happy or content

Alphas

Rumbling

Similar to an omega purr but much lower and deeper in pitch and it’s a much shorter. Where a purr is fairly continuous, a rumble is typically just one breath worth.

Crooning

A soft, hum-like sound that’s used to soothe or make the one the sound is directed towards, feel safe

Chuffing

Similar to a huff but with almost a growl or a guttural tone to it. A sound typically reserved for mates and pack mates the alpha is very close too. It’s a sign of affection and is not something that’s heard in the presence of strangers or anyone the alpha is not comfortable around.

All

Howling

A low, but loud, continuous call that builds from the chest, meant to locate pack mates or call to each other.

Growling

A low, guttural sound from the back of the throat used to indicate an alphas displeasure. At times, it’s a warning before they attack

Hissing

similar to cat hiss, it’s a warning or a CC threat before the omega will attack. Typically used when they feel vulnerable or threatened, a clear “back off”

Betas can produce any number of these sounds.
