Before Frank and Anthony became bandmates in L.S. Dunes, they likely first got to know each other when Circa Survive opened for My Chemical Romance on their Canadian tour in November/December 2005. They also opened for MCR in Worcester, MA on May 8 2007, and on their Australian tour in November/December 2007. Lastly, they opened for MCR at their Hollywood Palladium show on May 27 2011.
Anthony and Frank have also followed each other on Instagram for many years, before they became part of the same band. The earliest interaction I could find is from 2017:

L.S. Dunes’ debut album, Past Lives, is released. The song ‘It Takes Time’ was written by Anthony about Frank injuring both of his wrists.

Anthony: “Frank hurt his arm a little bit ago, had a little bit of an accident. Had to get all this stuff done to his arm. This is the thing he does, he plays guitar for a living and he got his hand and arm all fucked up, it was very scary. We’re lucky, we’re lucky that everything was cool— but I actually wrote this song about Frank.”

Anthony: “Just to be fair though, you've got pretty hands... they're rugged, they're rough y'know, like calloused up. Holy shit.”
Frank: “Why don't we play it?”
Anthony: “No, let's talk about it some more. You wanna know something funny about Frank's hands? Alright, this song's called Frank's hands. Let's go!”

Frank: (Talking away from mic)
Anthony: “What did you just say?!”

Interviewer: “Did headlining When We Were Young Festival whet your appetite for the ‘Long Live ‘The Black Parade’’ US stadium tour this summer?”
Frank: “It’s weird [to have the stadium tour coming up], for sure. I liked doing the double-header [L.S. Dunes also performed at the festival] because it took the pressure off the later set. Once I pull that band-aid off, I can do this, nothing can hurt me. If I could do that every night, I would.”
Anthony: “It speaks to his musicianship and his mastery that he can do that. There are no musicians in the world that have the level of shit that he has and say, ‘Oh, I’m going to play The Key Club in Leeds,’ [because] he loves it that much. This is a dude that could just chill with his kids – and he needs more. He needs it to be more intimate, grimier.”
Frank: “I’m a fucking music glutton!”
Anthony: “It’s a light in my life. No musician right now is doing what he does. Watching that My Chem set fucked me up, dude. It was like Kraftwerk or Joy Division getting back together. It’s still like it was, but it’s totally different. And then I turn around on stage, he’s playing [alongside me] and I get fucked up. I feel so proud to be in the sphere of that force, because it’s such a powerful force in the world of rock ‘n’ roll right now.”
