A - Affection (how affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)
Val is rather affectionate with both her friends and her partners. She’s a very touchy person. She likes hugging you and holding your hand. Almost always has her hands on you somehow unless it’s something you don’t like.
B - Best Friend (what are they like as a best friend)
Val is super supportive but also calls you out when she needs to. She’s always willing to listen to you when you need to vent and stands by you when you need her. She loves when you go to her games and she loves to support you in everything you do.
C - Cuddles (do they like to cuddle? how do they cuddle?)
As discussed earlier, Val is a rather affectionate person so she does enjoy cuddling. She likes having you lay between her legs with your back to her chest when you're walking tv or hanging out together. She also likes it when you lay with your head on her chest. She likes wrapping her arm around your waist and drawing shapes on your bare skin.
D - Domestic (do they wanna settle down? how are they at domestic chores ex. cooking, cleaning, etc?)
Val would definitely want to settle down with you. Although she knows that you are young and it may be hard, she hopes that everything works out and you’re able to. She’s a lot better at cleaning than she is at cooking though she can cook. She prefers cleaning over cooking.
E - Ending (how would they end a relationship if they had to?)
Being a senior in high school means preparing to go off to college. Choosing which college to go to is hard especially depending on the area you go into and, unfortunately, the two of you were going in very different directions. Val would hate having to do it but would know that it was for the best. She wants you to be happy even if it means breaking up and going to two different colleges. Long distance relationships are hard. And she’s not closing the door on your relationship forever, maybe one day you will cross paths and everything will work out.
F - Fiance(e) (how do they feel about commitment? how quickly would they want to get married? how would they propose?)
Val would definitely want to marry you, however she knows you’re too young to do so. She would probably wait until after you finish college to propose, though there would probably be moments in between where she would be tempted to do so earlier.
G - Gentle (how gentle are they, physically and emotionally?)
Val tries to be gentle with you. She’s not weak by any means, being the hockey captain she has to have some strength to keep up so she tries to be gentle with you. Though she does like to show off her strength by picking you up every so often.
H - Hugs (do they like hugs? how often do they give hugs? how do they hug?)
Val loves to hug you. She loves a good traditional hug where you’re face to face but she will also hug you from the back. However she chooses, trust that her arms will be wrapped around your neck. She loves feeling your arms around her waist (she also loves to kiss the top of your head/forehead when you hug)
I - I Love You (how quickly into the relationship do they say it?)
A couple months in. Val says it first. She doesn’t take relationships half haphazardly. When she gets in a relationship, she’s in it for the long term. After a couple months of dating, Val feels comfortable telling you she loves you. She also doesn’t expect you to say it back, she wants you to take it at your own pace. (though she will be very happy if you say it back)
J - Jealousy (how jealous are they?)
Val isn’t super jealous. Most people know that the two of you are a couple (the perks of dating the captain of the hockey team) so they leave you alone for the most part. Either way, Val trusts you enough to know that you wouldn’t cheat on her.
K - Kisses (how do they kiss? where do they like to kiss their partner? where do they like to be kissed?)
Val’s kisses are very loving. They’re slow and passionate. She wants to take her time with you and savor you. She loves to kiss your lips lovingly but she also loves to kiss your neck to rile you up. She loves it when you kiss her cheeks in greeting and soft pecks as goodbye’s. Before every game, Val kisses you. She says it’s a good luck kiss.
L - Little Ones (how are they with children? do they want children?)
Val is pretty good with kids. She’s very patient and likes spending time with kids. She’s not sure if she wants kids, she thinks she’s too young to have kids or to decide if she has any. She’d rather wait until you’re older and financially stable to decide if it’s the path for you.
M - Mornings (how are they in the morning?)
She’s very sweet in the mornings you spend together. She tends to wake up quite early but, when you spend the night at her place, she stays in bed with you for a while. She likes to surprise you with breakfast in bed. She’ll wake you up with soft kisses and cuddles, slowly bringing you out of your dream world.
N - Night (how are nights with them?)
Val loves when you spend the night at her place. Her parents trust you enough to let you sleep in her bed. She loves the intimate domestic feeling of watching you get ready for bed. It’s the soft intimate moments like those that make her consider putting a ring on your finger at eighteen. She loves soft goodnight kisses and holding you while you fall asleep.
O - Open (how open are they? how quickly do they open up?)
Val tends to be pretty open. She won’t talk about her problems with just anyone but she isn’t closed off about it either. She’s willing to talk to people when she feels she can trust them. She starts opening up pretty soon into your relationship. She hoped that it would make you feel comfortable and trust her.
P - Patience (how patient are they? are they easily angered?)
Val is really patient. She’s very understanding and doesn’t want to upset you. It’s very rare for her to get angry, though there have been moments when she does. It’s mostly been over things she’s passionate about or when she’s tired or frustrated.
Q - Quizzes (how much do they remember about you? do they remember small details about you or do they forget everything?)
Val’s really good at remembering things about you. She starts a new note in her notes app so she doesn’t forget anything. She finds it extremely helpful, especially when she’s looking for gifts for you.
R - Remember (what is their favorite moment in your relationship?)
Val loves any moment of casual intimacy. She loves how personal it feels. But her favorite moment with you was the moment she realized she wanted to spend the rest of her life with you. You were at her house, cuddling on her bed, watching a movie. Your head was resting on her chest, her fingers were drawing shapes onto your bare skin as you slowly felt yourself falling asleep. Watching you so calm and peaceful made her realize just how much she loved you. She didn’t say anything to you at the time but, at that moment, she knew she wanted to spend the rest of her life with you.
S - Security (how protective are they? how do they protect you? how do they like to be protected?)
Val wants you to feel safe. She will do anything she can if it will mean you will be safe. She’s strong so she knows she’ll be able to protect the two of you if anything happens
T - Try (how much effort do they put into the relationship, dates, anniversary, gifts, etc?)
Whipped is a word often used by Val’s friends to describe her. She loves you and will do anything to show you just how much she loves you. Whether it’s flowers or dinner dates or remembering your two week anniversary, Val will do anything for you.
U - Ugly (what are some bad habits of theirs?)
Val is a workaholic. She’s almost always at practice or at the gym. Hockey is really important to her and is likely to be her ticket to go to college. It does mean that sometimes when you want to do something she can’t because she has practice. You have to teach her about a healthy work-life balance. She also can be a little too easy-going with her friends sometimes. She knows that, most of the time, they have good intentions but that doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s the way it comes through. Sometimes you have to intervene when something seems meaner or when something could be taken in a negative way.
V - Vanity (how concerned are they with their looks?)
Val isn’t too concerned about how she looks. Like most people, Val does worry that she doesn’t look good but it isn’t her main concern. She likes to look good (especially when she wants to impress you) but if she’s having a bad day she’s capable of letting it go.
W - Wedding (do they want to get married? what would a wedding with them look like? how involved are they in the planning?)
Again, Val believes you are far too young to get married but she does enjoy imagining what it might look like. As mentioned before, she’s in it for the long term when she gets into a relationship so she hopes that your relationship lasts long enough to marry you. And when you do, she will be just as involved in the planning as you.
X - Xtra (random sfw headcanon)
Val is latina and you cannot convince me otherwise. She’s also a lesbian. Have you seen her? There’s no way she’s not queer.
Y - Yuck (what are some things they don’t like? in general? in a partner?)
Val doesn’t like hateful people or mean people in general. She can tolerate playful mockery ( as long as it’s clear it’s a joke) but she can’t stand people who are just mean to be mean. She also can’t stand anyone who tries to pressure others into stuff.
Z - Zzz (what are their sleep habits?)
Val has a very strict sleep schedule. Before you started dating, she rarely moved around her sleep schedule but ever since she’s more willing to do it. She likes getting up early in the morning so she goes to bed early to get her 10 hours of sleep like she’s supposed to.
