The dagger swung down, piercing the depths of her heart. Coldness permeated throughout her body, darkness swirling around the edges of her vision.
"Why?" came a faint whisper.
"We could never be, darling." And with that, Draco walked away, leaving Hermione bleeding and lifeless behind him.
