Work Text:
Sanji had a new suit and it was distracting her.
It was a dark blue, almost navy, three-piece. The trousers, waistcoat and jacket all the same colour with a white shirt for contrast. It fit him like a glove too, cutting across his shoulders, highlighting his broadness, especially with the way his waistcoat tapered to a trim waist when he took his jacket off.
She definitely hadn’t seen that one before.
(She would’ve remembered)
Sat in her chair, idly she pondered if there was a colour he couldn’t pull off. So far, she hadn’t seen it. But the navy brought out the blue in his eyes and was a contrast to his light skin and blonde hair. It was pleasing to the eye and she was struggling to look away.
She watched him walk across the deck towards Luffy and Usopp who were fishing. Maybe he was asking them what they’d caught so far or asking them to try for a certain fish, maybe he had something in mind already for dinner but she was still occupied by the suit to give that much more thought.
Mainly his legs now. He had good legs, which was to be expected as his fighting style demanded strength and power to follow through. They looked strong, from the way his calves and thighs flexed. It only supported her thought that he must get his suits tailored, the trousers clung to him in all the right ways that you couldn’t get off the rack.
And as her eyes naturally drifted from shapely calves to strong thighs, wondering how he found the time to work out when he spent so much time in the kitchen, he bent over and like a moth to a flame her eyes weren’t on his legs anymore.
Her thoughts came to a screeching halt as her face burned with the realisation of what she’d been doing.
She’d been ogling Sanji!
Her stomach sunk and twisted in a weird way and-
Oh.
Did she-?
Nope.
It was Sanji. She wasn’t even going to entertain it. It was only natural, she reasoned. People looked at other people and objectively speaking (objectively!), he was attractive. He looked after himself, kept himself well groomed, clean and dressed well. It wasn’t something you came across on the high seas, that was all. He was also in good (read: great) shape, that it was only natural it would catch a person’s eye.
And it wasn’t a big deal that it had caught hers on a one off.
It wasn’t.
She nodded to herself, agreeing with her conclusion.
“For you, Nami-san,” he smiled down at her, appearing out of nowhere, offering her tea.
Her heart jumped into her throat, too caught up in her thoughts that she hadn’t seen him make his way over. Oh god, had she been staring at him?
She tried not to look like a deer in the headlights as she took the offered drink and did her best to give him her confident, “Thank you, Sanji-kun.” Maybe it was just her that heard the underlying shake in her tone.
It must be in her head; he didn’t say anything or give her a look of concern. Instead, he continued to smile, his eyes lighting up as she took a sip and she caught herself before she could think about his smile any further.
When he turned to leave, retreating back to the kitchen to carry on with what he’d been doing, she fought to keep her eyes from picking up where they left off.
Despite her best efforts, she failed spectacularly.
In hindsight, she realised that afternoon may have been the tipping point for what was to follow.
She’d decided to write off the other afternoon. It was a lapse in judgement, it didn’t mean anything and she was tired anyway, so she hadn’t been thinking straight.
Which would have been okay until she decided to go up to the crows nest for some peace and quiet.
It was stuffy when she opened the latch, poking her head through and she was so sure she’d seen Zoro down on the lawn. There was a grunting noise behind her and as she turned, about to tell Zoro to open a damn window, the sentence crashed into her teeth as her mouth snapped shut.
Zoro wasn’t anywhere in sight.
But Sanji was.
And her pondering the day before about how he kept himself in shape had been answered for her.
He hadn’t noticed her yet, too focused on doing press ups and her eyes lapped up the sight before her. He was in the tiniest shorts she’d ever seen him in that glued to the muscle of his thighs, curving over his bum, and a vest. In her limited ogling of his lower body, she’d completely missed his arms and shoulders. They glistened in sweat, highlighting the dips and curves of his muscles and her mouth dried as she watched them flex as he lowered himself with ease. When did that happen? They had been criminally hidden beneath his suits.
“Nami-san! Sorry, am I in your way?” He greeted her casually, a hint of excitement in his tone but no strain despite now holding himself in a plank as he looked at her.
Her eyes widened at being caught staring, like a deer in the headlights, even if he seemed to be oblivious. She shook her head and it was all she could muster as she lowered herself from the crows nest woodenly, otherwise she would make a fool of herself.
Because when she saw him, hot, sweaty and doing press ups, all she’d been able to think about was how she’d like to be under him.
The next few days blurred into one another as Nami tried to wrap her head around what was going on. All she could see or think about was Sanji, no matter what she did. If she was on the lawn deck, in the library, eating dinner, in bed late at night, ahem, Sanji was there either mentally or physically.
And she didn’t know what to make of it.
She’d found people attractive before - she had eyes - but it had never taken over her like this before. She hadn’t wanted them as badly as she wanted him.
As she laid in bed that night, having guiltily used the images of him from the crows nest to make her toes curl, she realised that she wanted to sleep with Sanji.
She was physically attracted to Sanji.
She didn’t sleep well that night.
The situation of Sanji was thankfully parked for the time being. Unfortunately, it was because Nami was having a hellish day. It’d started off nice enough but had taken a turn when it’d started to rain. She hadn’t taken an umbrella with her when she’d left that morning, which wasn’t a problem as she could always duck into a shop until it stopped or at least calmed down. And that had been a great plan up until a marine appeared from thin air, walked past her and did a double take.
Trying to keep the grimace off her face, she casually sped up until she heard him shout at her to stop, yelling her name for all to hear and then they’d all sprung out of the woodworks. It almost felt like they had been expecting her.
She’d run on instinct, brain scrambling to think about where everyone was on the island and whether or not to just take them on. The rain pouring down, pounding back up against the pavement, didn’t make it any easier, obscuring her vision and her heels slipped a few times on brickwork under her feet.
Except she needn’t have worried about bumping into anyone or slipping over because a moment later she felt the tell-tale wobble of one of her heels quickly followed by a snap. The heel to her favourite pair of shoes snapped and of course it had to be now of all times, after all this time of having them. She went down like a sack of potatoes, knees painfully smacking into the pavement, ankle smarting in the way it twisted and hands grazing as she quickly caught herself. At least she didn’t eat the dirt, that would only add to her embarrassment.
But she had bigger problems than her shoes or sore knees.
“Cat Burglar Nami, put your hands up where we can see them.”
In her moment of weakness, they’d quickly and efficiently formed a tight circle around her, guns and swords trained on her. It was a tough situation and she was trying to quickly figure out the best port of call. She could feel Zeus tittering in the climatact strapped to her leg and she wondered if they’d be quick enough before the marines started firing or if she should pretend to surrender so they let their guards down. It didn’t help that her ankle was still radiating in pain, she couldn’t be sure how quick she’d be on her feet.
The choice was made for her when an all too familiar voice crooned, “Don’t you know it’s bad manners to harass a lady?”
“Sanji-kun,” she breathed in relief as the adrenaline bled out of her and her stomach fluttered.
A split moment later, bodies thumped to the ground and it was just her and Sanji left. It’d happened so quickly that she was still on the floor, soaked to the bone, and he crouched in front of her as he asked, “Are you okay, Nami-san?” Concern laced his tone, eyes flicking around her face.
She should be answering or thinking about getting back to the ship but in that moment, she was distracted by his face. He looked serious and his eyebrows furrowed in concern, something that only grew with her ongoing silence, and maybe it was the light hitting him at a certain angle but her stomach swooped.
Maybe she had eaten the dirt and hit her head on the way down. That would at least explain the unsettled stomach.
Swallowing, she nodded.
But she couldn’t have been convincing as he asked again, “Are you sure you’re okay?” She could only imagine how her expression looked.
She tried to school her face as she answered, more confident this time around, “Nothing Chopper can’t patch up… well, maybe except the shoes.”
He followed her gaze, looking down at her feet. “Those were your favourite just as well,” he said, almost to himself.
And he wasn’t wrong, except she’d never told him that.
A second later, he was shaking his head, like he’d forgotten himself and stood, offering his hand to her.
With her hand in his, her stomach twisted but she tried to smother it down by saying, “It’s fine, I can always buy more shoes.”
Maybe she’d lay down for a bit when she got back.
“It seems like the marines knew we were here, they tried to ambush me as well. As soon as I’d dealt with them, I came looking for you.”
Something Sanji would no doubt do for anyone else in the crew but he made it sound so sweet, especially as he still held her hand and looked at her so softly.
But she was not looking into that any further right now. She’d just made a fool of herself in front of a group of marines and probably looked like a drowned cat. So instead, she cleared her throat, took her hand back and said, “We should go back to the ship and see if everyone else is there. We might need to go.”
“You’re right.” He paused, looking over her bare shoulders and she was about to berate him until, “I’d give you my jacket but it’s just as wet, I think it’d only make it worse.”
She waved him off, telling him it was fine and her ankle chose that moment to remind her it was still there. A dull ache radiated from it before shooting up her calf.
“What’s wrong?” He asked, brows furrowed as he noticed her grimace.
“I think I twisted my ankle when I fell.”
“I’ll carry you,” he said simply, like he was discussing the weather and swept her up into a bridal carry, “I wasn’t going to let you walk back on a broken heel anyway. I can get you to Chopper quicker this way too.”
With his arms around her, she tried her very best to stay composed and not gawk at his face or think about how warm he was or how he carried her so easily without even breaking a sweat. Or how her heart did a little jaunty jump. No, instead, she was cool, calm, collected as she realised that no, this may not just be a physical attraction.
Not with the amount of times she’d looked at his lips.
Within the space of a week she’d gone from thinking about Sanji as one of her closest friends, to wanting to sleep with him, to wanting to sleep with him and be in a relationship with him. And was somehow dealing with it okay. Well, that might be a stretch but she was coping with it and she’d take that as a win.
Except she was at a point where she needed to talk to someone else about it, someone she could trust, just so it would stop rattling around in her head.
She was with Usopp and Robin when she couldn’t contain herself any longer.
They were up on the second level, Usopp was spraying his pesticides, Robin was potting her plants and she had been pruning her trees. Well, she had been until Sanji had appeared from nowhere to ask if he could have some fruit. He was dressed down today, his white shirt still tucked in but the sleeves rolled up to show off his forearms and that was apparently something she liked now too. Her cheeks had heated as she’d handed the fruit over and it was ridiculous how she felt like a school girl.
“I have a crush on Sanji,” she blurted once she’d seen the kitchen door close. Yes, she’d watched him walk all the there and not with wholly innocent intentions. She’d accepted her fate.
“Tell me something I don’t know,” Usopp replied in a bored tone, not even looking up from the flowers.
Her eyebrows threatened to leave her forehead and her words tripped over one another, leading to an interesting noise she’d never made before.
That caught his attention, looking as equally surprised as he asked, “Oh, was that meant to be new information?”
Her ears burned.
Robin cleared her throat and she felt the tension in her shoulders ease a bit. She was going to give her some sisterly wisdom, she could feel it. Robin was great in moments like this, she balanced her out, calmed her down in moments of panic and Nami loved her for it.
“I think what Usopp means is that when you spend most of your time ogling Sanji’s behind, it’s hard not to notice.”
Screw that, she was a traitor. She was no better than the rest of them
Steam was now pouring out of her ears, Nami could feel it and Usopp’s grin was wide like a Cheshire cat, eyebrows raised daringly.
A beat later and Nami found her tongue. “Is it that obvious?” Her mind flashed to Sanji and she groaned.
“I think it’s obvious to everyone but Sanji,” Robin appeased and it half helped, half didn’t.
“So what are you going to do about it?” Usopp interjected.
She… hadn’t thought of that. She’d just about come to grips with the fact that Sanji was attractive and that shewas attracted to him, in every sense of the term. The latter was even fresher but there was no point trying to play cute at this point.
Usopp looked at her blandly. “You think Sanji is going to make the first move?”
She thought about every moment since they first met and sighed. No he would not.
“Since when have you held back from getting something you wanted?” Usopp challenged and she realised he was trying to encourage her.
“I think he might have a point,” Robin added, smiling serenely.
Nami wasn’t hiding.
She’d just retreated to the library to catch up on her maps. It wasn’t to avoid the recent revelation that not only did she find Sanji attractive, she also wanted to kiss him and hug him and go on dates with him. Regularly. Like couples do.
And apparently everyone on the ship knew except Sanji.
She was gathering herself, she appeased.
Except, she couldn’t focus. Instead, all she was thinking about was Sanji, which made this exercise pointless.
She’d tried her best to but her mind kept drifting or something would catch her eye and that would be it, somehow, she would find herself back on Sanji. She’d stretched her legs, paced around and looked through everyone’s collection of books. Even Usopp’s bug book, so she knew she was desperate for a distraction. Although she’d wasted all that time, she still sat down to try and finish her map again.
So when someone slipped in, the door quietly opening behind her, she was aware of it. She knew it was Sanji, the door was a dead give-away but it was also his gentle footsteps tapping across the floorboards, even if he did try to mask the sound of his shoes to little avail. She held back the sigh as her heart thumped that little bit quicker.
She continued to pretend to work, drawing what she knew would be the final line as he put her tea on an unoccupied part of her desk. A skill really considering how messy the space was.
“Thank you, Sanji-kun,” she said, leaning back in her chair and smiling up at him.
“You’re welcome, Nami-san,” he reciprocated and based on her body language, he continued, “How’s the map coming along?”
“It’s not really,” she sighed out of frustration. She was so close to finishing it but there was no point, she was dragging herself through it and that wasn’t fun. She knew if she continued that when she inevitably finished, it wouldn’t be a good, satisfying feeling but one of relief instead. “I was just about to call it a day.”
“Had enough?”
She shook her head. “I can’t focus, which is more annoying.”
He hummed. “Well, I’m making pizzas for dinner and I’m just about to knead the dough if you’d like to help? Could be good if you’re feeling restless.” He tried to keep his tone casual but there was a lilt at the end, hopefulness creeping in despite his best efforts and she had no idea what she was so worked up over.
This was Sanji. Someone who had made it incredibly clear how he felt about her and at times, a massive dork. Suddenly, it didn’t seem so nerve wracking being around him.
“That sounds like fun.”
It was not fun.
Well, it was if you enjoyed making pizza but it wasn’t if you had recently realised you had a crush on one of your closest friends.
It turned out, when Sanji was in his element, completely relaxed and focused he was insanely attractive. Not to mention when he rolled up his sleeves and tried to tell her about where he was with the dough. That had practically been white noise to her, her focus had been on the way his forearms had flexed, new skin being revealed with every roll of his shirt.
And the rings.
He didn’t wear them much, she imagined because he spent so much time cooking but he’d worn them today and she’d watched like a hawk as he slipped them off his fingers in slow motion. She had to resist the urge to pick them up and slip them on her own fingers, to see the difference in size.
Needless to say, dough was the last thing on her mind.
Which meant that she’d completely missed his guide on how to knead the dough. In her defence, he had incredibly nimble fingers (which apparently was a thing for her now) and he’d bent over all within the span of five minutes. It was only natural that she was struggling to focus.
So when she’d been given her own dough with a smile, she’d tried to subtly watch what he was doing to mimic his movements.
And that was just how kind Sanji was, he realised quickly what she was doing, said nothing about her not listening and instead slowed down his movements so she could follow along. Again, it didn’t help with her focus.
Seemingly picking up on this, he left his own dough and asked, “May I?” Gesturing to her dough.
She figured he was going to take her dough and go through it again with her, so she nodded.
What she hadn’t expected was for him to slot himself behind her, arms easily encompassing her frame and hands resting over hers on the dough. He was so warm and his hands could easily blanket hers, yet they hovered, tentative and gentle in the way they softly came to lay over hers. She could hear her heartbeat in her ears.
Despite his confidence initially, he had a moment of unsurety, “Is this okay?”
Not trusting herself, she nodded.
And just like that, he guided her hands through the motions. Fold it in half, press it in with the heel of the hand, turn. Fold it in half, press it in with the hell of the hand, turn. Fold it in half…
His voice repeated the steps over and over soothingly. At one point, he was muttering it under his breath and it seemed like it was more for him than her. Like he was trying to ground himself.
“How’s that?” He asked, breaking the spell and bringing her outer body moment to a halt.
For the first time since they’d started, she twisted her head to look him and their eyes met. They were suspended in time and neither moved but their eyes did enough to convey what was going on between them. Like magnets, they pulled together until their lips brushed. They brushed again and again until it was firm, sure of what was happening without having to say anything and she was then turning in his arms to get even closer. His hand cupped her face softly, like she was a prize to be treasured and she gripped at his back, trying to press them impossibly closer.
It was on their ninth kiss, when his tongue brushed against her bottom lip and her bum met the edge of the work surface that her brain turned back on. He was so calm and collected about this, not nearly as frazzled as she’d expected to be.
When they parted, he chased her lips, a small whine breaking from his throat.
“Did you know?” She whispered between them like a secret, puffing against his lips.
She didn’t have to explain for him to understand. A blessing or a curse, she couldn’t decide. He looked unsure though, like he didn’t know how to answer or how to word it and her stomach dropped.
“You knew?!” Because somehow it was fine if she and the rest of the crew knew she was making a fool of herself, but not for him to know too.
Her panic, a sheer cry from the previous atmosphere between them launched him into action. “No!” At her disbelieving look, he continued, “No really. I- I thought maybe you did but I wasn’t sure and I didn’t want to ruin whatever was happening if I was wrong or if it was too soon.”
With one big exhale, she dropped her head to his chest because really, it didn’t matter. He’d never make fun of her for it and if she finally got to do something about the thoughts that had been plaguing her, then it was worth it.
Which was why it was easier to admit, “The crows nest really broke me.”
“Really?” Like he was genuinely surprised. She could feel him lean back, trying to look at her face. “Was it the shorts?”
She almost wanted to laugh but instead, she looked up at him, wrapped her arms around his neck and lifted to her toes as she purred, “It was everything.” If she was going down, she was going to take him down with her.
He gulped; breath shaky as he nodded but she was done with talking for now. She’d waited too long for this, even if it was just a week.
“Kiss me again,” she uttered.
He wasted no time in re-joining their lips, bending to meet her halfway and her hands slid into his hair to seal their lips together. The kiss was hotter this time around, far past the tentative brush of lips to instead open mouths, teasing tongues and exploring hands. She wasn’t sure who made the move first but their hips met, rolling into one another and she felt a thrill shoot up her body, warming its way as it went, when she felt his hard bulge grind into her.
He groaned when she rolled her hips again and she could herself getting excited with the tease of what could be hers. Her hands left his shoulders, moving south until they were grasping at his firm behind, the very thing that had been teasing her for too long and it was exactly what she’d needed to control the rhythm, to get him to roll his hips into hers exactly the way she wanted.
Except she needed to level the height difference and her hand made contact with the work surface, ready to hop up until it touched something sticky.
She moaned, half in pleasure as he kissed the sweet spot below her ear and half in frustration because they’d forgotten about the dough.
“Sanji, ah~” she breathed, “the dough,” which was hard to focus one when he moved down spread kisses along her neck.
He dropped his head into her neck and groaned like he was in pain. “It’s so sexy that you’re thinking about not wasting food at a time like this,” he paused, “and what I need because that dough is the last thing on my mind.”
A beat later he lifted his head from her neck, reluctance riddled over his face and he looked wrecked already. His hair was tousled from where her hands had been in it, pupils blown wide and she was well aware of the state of his trousers. She wondered if she matched the look. She suspected she did with the way he longingly gazed at her.
He was going to need some motivation; she knew he’d be upset about the dough later if it was ruined.
“Finish the dough and I’ll be right here when you’re done.” She slipped from between his arms, moving to the side to playfully smack his bum before jumping up onto a clean work surface.
“What an incentive,” he murmured, voice thick with arousal as his eyes roamed up and down her. “It only needs a few more turns.” That part sounded like it was more for himself than her.
And as hard as it had been to let him go, she didn’t have to restrain herself anymore from her ogling as she watched him from the side. His trousers pulled nicely against his behind and even with the brief pause in her activities, she could still see a bulge in the front. She finally gave into temptation and picked up his rings, slipping them onto her fingers and twirling them round easily. The size difference made her shiver and she hoped she’d get the chance to experience that first hand shortly.
He'd picked up the speed with the dough and she had to bite her lip to stop from giggling, giddy and flattered at his eagerness. Not before long, he was stretching the dough, making sure it was the right consistency before oiling the bowl, wrapping it and putting it in the proving draw.
When he turned around, they smiled at each other from across the kitchen, like they couldn’t believe this was happening until she beckoned him closer and he practically sprinted the small distance.
Just as he was about to step in between her legs, she stopped him with a hand to the chest and the words died in his mouth when she pulled the hem of her top up and over her head, leaving her in just a lacy bra.
“Lose the shirt,” then she thought about it, “but keep the tie, it’s handy.” She winked at the end.
Doing as he was told, he started unbuttoning the shirt but her hands soon joined him, too impatient to wait. The moment his shirt dropped to the floor; he took the final step in between her legs. Her arms returned to around his shoulders and his hands landed on either side of her on the counter, caging her in.
“How long do we have?”
“An hour,” he replied, brushing hair off of her shoulder to place a kiss to the exposed skin there, “not nearly enough time but let me see what I can do.”
He pulled her hips across the counter until they sat snuggly against his, legs framing them and she wasted no time in crossing them behind his back, eliminating any distance left. He’d flagged a bit after their little break from dealing with the dough, but she wasn’t worried when he picked up where he left off.
He kissed into the crook of her neck, tongue teasing the sensitive patch of skin before he kept going lower until he was in front of breasts. She was sure she heard him mutter something like ‘I’ve waited so long for this’ but the thought was soon dropped along with anything else she’d ever thought of before as his mouth found her nipple through the thin material of her bra. He licked, mouth closing around it and it hardened quickly under his attention. His mouth was so much better than her fingers, pleasure tingling down to her stomach and her underwear wetting under the attention. Her hands threaded through his hair, pushing him closer to her breast and he moaned around her nipple at her eagerness.
Once one nipple had been thoroughly played with, he pulled back to admire his handy work, the wet material going cold in the kitchen before moving onto the other. Her hips rolled when he sucked her other nipple and she clutched to him, somehow too much but not enough.
“Sanji,” she whined, breathlessly overwhelmed and she didn’t recognise her voice, “do something.”
“With pleasure.”
He unbuttoned her trousers and she lifted herself so he could shimmy them past her hips and off her legs. He left the underwear which she was about to argue until he stepped back in between her legs, hands smoothing along the curve of her outer thighs to rest at her hips heavily. One hand skimmed across to the sensitive skin of her inner thigh until it toyed with the edge of her underwear.
“May I?”
She was too far passed caring about having the upper hand or being in control, so she uttered a, “Please,” with little care.
With nimble fingers, just like she’d imagined, he slid past her underwear and lips. He breathed out a sigh when he felt how wet she was already, not needing to spread it but he teased her anyway, running his fingers along her, teasing the walls and just brushing her clit as she panted.
If it wasn’t Sanji, she’d almost be embarrassed by how far gone she was already with how little they’d done.
Needing to do something, she pulled his tie to meet her into a messy kiss. It was by far not their best kiss. It was uncoordinated and more breathing than actually pressing their lips together but it was everything she wanted.
Once she was adequately teased, he pushed his first finger in only for his second finger to join a moment later as he caressed her walls, building a slow rhythm up and down, up and down. His thumb circled her clit in time with his fingers and she almost collapsed against him, arms heavy around his shoulders and legs tightening around his waist as she let out a high-pitched moan that she smothered into his lips.
Then he crooked his fingers and found that little patch that had electric shooting up to her stomach.
“Sanji,” she panted, trying for commanding but severely missing the mark, “there, it feels so good.”
That was all the encouragement he needed to hear as he picked up the pace, far past teasing as he crooked his fingers, going after that spot again and again and again. At this point, she was so far lost in the pleasure that she didn’t hear the sounds she was making, nor did she care.
“You feel so warm and wet and you moan so pretty for me,” he crooned into her ear, placing a kiss there afterwards like a reward as his free hand went after her nipple.
And it was all too much but exactly what she needed. His fingers were in all the right places, his voice hot and heavy in her ear and the attention to her nipples all added to the heat growing in her stomach.
He must have sensed it too as he picked up the speed once again and her hips rolled into his fingers, haphazardly chasing the pleasure until the dam broke. The waves crashed over her with one last roll of her hips and he carried on, letting her ride on the pleasure until she moaned weekly in sensitivity.
He placed kisses on her cheeks, along her neck, on her shoulders and any patch of skin he could find as she tried to catch her breath and take a moment to collect herself.
When she gazed up at him with lidded eyes, he took the cue to connect their lips. It was a sweet kiss, a far cry from their previous ones and it sealed everything that had happened since entering the kitchen together.
“How was that?” He asked, smiling softly and brushing her fringe out of her eyes.
“Perfect,” she replied in a daze.
He beamed. “Can I take you out when you’re free?” He asked sweetly, like they weren’t on the same ship together.
“I’ll pencil you into my diary,” she teased and her hand found his, linking their fingers together and squeezing. Her eyes flicked to the oven clock. “How much time do we have left?” It felt like they’d been in here for hours yet also seconds.
He also glanced at the clock, free hand caressing up the skin of her arm. “We have some time.”
And as much as she loved how gentle he was being, she wasn’t ready to let the heat turn down. “Lose the trousers, there’s some things I have in mind that I want to try.”
As hot as he could be at times, she felt her heart stutter for him when he tripped over his trousers in his haste to get rid of them.
