Work Text:

There’s chatter and noise all around as Annabeth sits across from Luke in a fancy upscale restaurant.

The cloth hugged the table, with a glass of wine to her left and bread that she dipped with olive oil and took a single bite sitting on a plate.

Hums from the conversations surrounding them provide a thin barrier as Luke leans in across the table, his steak untouched. He looks certainly handsome this evening, with grey slacks and an orange button up.

Looking into his eyes, she sees something. She isn’t sure what she sees. He has this all knowing grin on his face. “How much longer until you think they realize that you’re getting plowed by the both of us and not just Percy? Imagine if they knew about the kid.”

Annabeth gives a faint smile. How he talks about what is growing inside of her as if it’s already here. That he’s still hopeful.

Breaking it to him first might be easier than breaking it to the both of them. So she inhales, closing her eyes and appreciating the void of black, even with all of the noise around them. Then she exhales, opening her eyes and returning to reality.

She hurries the words from her lips, “I don’t want to keep the child.”

Luke opens his mouth, with a hurt look on his face when he closes it again, a smile appearing. From the corner of her eye, she sees the waiter approach.

It’s not the same guy they had before, but he stops at their table, with a pleasant look on his face. “Luke Castellan?” Said with more out of a familiarity than surprise of meeting someone.

“Chris Rodriguez!” Luke rises from his seat rather loudly, opening his arms and bringing the slightly shorter male in for a hug.

“How have you been, man?”

“Great, Clarisse is deployed right now, but she’s coming back in about a month. Then we’re going to move out to Long Island and settle down.”

That helps put the puzzle piece together. She remembers Chris, one of Luke’s friends when he was in highschool. Though it must’ve been at least eleven years since they last talked, they fall back into it.

“I never meant to lose contact with you man, add your number in my phone, we gotta catch drinks or something.” Luke hands Chris his phone, and he taps the screen until he gives it back.

Chris turns to her, and his face lights up with a smile again. “And gosh, Annabeth I don’t know if you remember me but, you’re all grown up!”

She surprisingly doesn’t feel the need to shudder, even when it reminds her of how Luke had said something strikingly similar just a few months back when everything had all began.

She pushes those thoughts to the back of her head and focuses on the present. “Took me a second, but I do remember you.”

He takes a glance past her, and clicks his tongue. “I’m happy to have seen you two, and Luke, text me later.” Chris disappears, getting back to work.

Sitting back down, Luke lets out a chuckle, leaning back and taking grip of the silverware, beginning to cut into his steak. “God, I love that guy.” He takes a bite. After chewing, he speaks again. “Nice dress by the way.”

She’s not really dressed up, wearing a simple burgundy dress. They can drop it for now, but they’ll have to talk about it later. “Thanks.” Glancing down at her food, she’s still not hungry enough to eat.

“Would look better discarded on the ground though, wouldn’t it?”

A smirk grows on her lips as she looks back up. “You aren’t funny, Luke.”

He taps his phone to see the time. “Let’s go back to the hotel.”

“But, we just got here…”

Luke shrugs his shoulders. “So?” Of course. He never really cares about time limits, or the fact that it’s a waste of time itself. He operates on whatever limit he wants. “Driver is already out there. It’s not like you’re gonna get anything anyway.”

Which is true, considering the fact she doesn’t even really like eating out. Even at such a nice place like this. It was just coming so Luke didn’t have to sit alone, because he has no shame in doing so. If he’s hungry, he’ll get that reservation for one and the most expensive thing in the place. She thinks he could be really more private. Stop trying to show off his money all the time. Money that isn’t even really his, rather his father’s.

But she doesn’t want to be here. All the people surrounding her, it’s almost like she wonders if they’re talking about her. If they know. But nobody knows, except the select few.

Annabeth sighs. “We can go, like now.”

Luke gets up first and she follows, his eyes on her as she puts her black puffer jacket over her shoulders. She has a feeling he wishes he could be more intimate, but they can’t. That’s for behind closed doors. Because to everyone else, they’re still close friends, just that. And there are plenty of times when she stays up too late that she starts to regret that she ever slept with him.

There’s nothing really stopping them from going public. Other than the fact there would be a thousand questions, ones that she doesn’t want to know the answers to herself. Wait.

They’re forgetting something. Annabeth stops him. “You don’t even have your card or receipt.”

He laughs. “They just charge my account. We’re good.” He grabs her hand softly, not holding on tight, just enough to hold onto her as they walk past all the other candle lit tables for two, and she looks at all the people sitting at them.

Her and Luke were probably the only non couple seated, because all the other tables have rose petals and such. Theirs didn’t.

When they leave the restaurant, the atmosphere shifts. The cold of the city hits her legs, and she misses the warmth of the restaurant already. Click. Then there’s dozens. Their security diverges from the other side of the door, keeping the crowd back.

She feels Luke’s grip tighten tremendously, as he turns back to her and mouths “It’s going to be okay.”

There’s a mob, and Annabeth hasn’t seen one like this since her mother died. How they swarmed the funeral like vultures, ready to tear her legacy apart. The voices of the people merge together and she’s grateful, because she doesn’t want to know what they’re asking. She looks and can see the black SUV twenty steps away.

One of the voices she can make out, and she wishes she couldn’t. “How far along are you in pregnancy?”

A soft sting hits her heart, and she starts squeezing Luke. The next time she looks up, he opens the door and helps her in the car, before getting in himself and slamming the door shut.

“Step on it.” They say at the same time to the driver before turning and sharing a look.

Nobody was supposed to know. If they know that she’s pregnant, how long until people start asking questions about the father? They’ll probably know before they do. The results of that should be back anyway now.

“They know.” She looks out the tinted window, watching the flash mob fade into the distance as they disappear into traffic.

He resumes holding her hand. It’s something she’s grateful for, a small comfort. “Yeah, figured.”

She preferred when she was news for Variety and Vanity Fair every six months. When she was just Luke Castellan’s surrogate sister. But she isn’t even that anymore. (Good thing they don’t know that yet.) Add Percy Jackson to the mix, of course the media loves her.

He glances at the driver. They’ll talk more about this when they get back to the room. She wonders if Percy is already waiting. Him and Luke will probably fight over which one gets to take off her dress. Checking her phone feels like a death sentence, probably a dozen texts from her PR team already wanting to get on this. They’ll figure it out, they know best.

When they finally arrive at the hotel, there’s not really a crowd. Luke thanks the driver for them and they quickly hurry inside, trying to beat the weather.

Once they get to the hotel room, Luke slams the door shut. Annabeth scans the room, seeing a large bed decorated with rose petals. She smiles.

Percy exits the bathroom, baby blue shirt already unbuttoned and taking off his belt. They’re going to ruin her tonight, she already knows it. Her plans of talking about things go out the window.

Luke picks her up by the thighs, straddling her and dropping her on the bed, the petals rising and falling back onto the white duvet, slightly displaced.

“It’s my turn to undress her,” says Luke.

Percy rolls his eyes. “Yeah, I’m aware.”

Rather than undressing her, Luke grips the fabric of her dress and pulls. It tears quite easily, and Luke continues to stretch the fabric until he can discard the pieces of her dress on the carpet.

Percy chimes in. “Your body is so fucking beautiful, you know that?”

“Can fuck you raw considering you’re already pregnant with our baby,” Luke kicks off his pants.

It’s an improvement. At least he’s saying our instead of his. Still going to take more than that to change her mind about keeping it.

She’s looking at the ceiling when she feels the bed cave twice, and sensations starting at her calves. Tilting her head, she sees Luke kissing her left and Percy kissing her right, both sucking and licking her skin.

Maybe the way to end the baby problem is to just end this, the three of them. But that wouldn’t go over well with either, and they’re just getting started.

“Love you.” Percy plants a kiss on her lower inner thigh.

Out of competition, Luke goes up her body faster, leaving a hickey on her hip. Percy can play that game too, crawling up the bed until she can feel his breath on her neck. It’s hot and full of desire, sticking and seeping into her skin, and then her veins. He attacks her neck like a vampire while Luke goes downwards, spreading her legs as far as possible.

She holds back a scream when she feels Luke’s mouth. It’s heavenly combined with Percy licking and sucking on her neck depraved, leaving marks all over.

Taking her free hand, she buries her head in Luke’s hair. She gives up trying to hold back her moans. Her lips fall open with praise to the both of them as they work to make her fall apart.

This is one of the few things that they can do together. “You both are so good for me,” she coos in between cries of pleasure.

Luke’s favorite place is her thighs, she’s sure of it. So many times where he never wants anything in return, nothing other than devouring her. He works her with a finger slipping inside, using his lips on her clit.

Percy groans, and she can see rapid movement of his shoulder. “Gonna get off just kissing you,” he slides back down, licking her breast.

It’s embarrassing how fast she feels her orgasm build up. She wants to hold back and let this feeling last longer, but her body says otherwise.

Annabeth feels as her body coils, throwing her head back against the bed, hips starting to grind against Luke’s face just to prolong the feeling. She feels herself sopping wet, her arousal leaving her body and coating his face.

Eventually when the feeling has slipped from her grasp, she relaxes.

Her legs are gripped and lifted as Luke removes himself from her. Getting up to shower feels too hard and if she asks them for help, it’s like asking to be filled. Instead she gets under the covers, trying not to think about the fact that everyone knows about what’s going on inside of her. She dozes in and out, until the next time she opens her eyes she’s sandwiched between Luke to her left and Percy on her right, already asleep.

They’re going to talk about this in the morning.
