Work Text:
Sam’s head was low, sighing deeply before looking at his brother, “Dean, you were there.” Sam signed. Dean’s smile was a little too wide for Sam’s liking.
“Oh, I know,” He signed back, “But I want to hear it again.” Sam scoffed, signing, “Then you're going to need new ears.”
“Low blow, man,” Dean said. Sam rolled his eyes, the only reason they were having this conversation is because Dean stole his cane again. Once he gets it he’s making a run for it getting far away from this conversation.
Dean moved the cane further away, sensing Sam’s plan, “I can't believe I didn't teach you better manners,” Dean said, in a faux lecture, “I get it she's hot but you can’t immediately jump to-”
“I was trying to say thank you!” Sam shouted, embarrassment clear on his face. All Dean could do was laugh, “That’s one Hell of a thank you.”
“I hate you.” Sam said, “Well not all of us can be a pretty girl named Eileen.” Dean countered. Sam threw himself back onto his bed, she was pretty. Which is why he hates how badly he butchered their conversation. It was worse when she realized Dean is also deaf. She didn’t bring it up but Sam’s face was a staggering bright red.
He thought he only stumbled over his words speaking verbally to pretty people, but apparently he does it even when he’s signing. Of course. It’s just his luck.
