"White Pearl?" Frilled Jellyfish called out as she cautiously made her way through the Duskgloom sea. She had tried to come as soon as she could, but the other mermaids wouldn't let her leave. She hoped she wasn't too late.
"White Pearl Cookie?" Frilled Jellyfish again called out, frowning. She had stopped now, floating aimlessly above a wrecked ship. The sea was dark and silent. There was not an animal in sight, nor cookie. She bit her lip as tears started to well in her eyes, looking down. Simultaneously, she saw a glint of something off in the distance. She blinked, looking to where she had seen the glint come from. It looked like White Pearls pearl.
"...White Pearl?" Frilled Jellyfish asked, voice trembling slightly. She'd heard of the stories of the monsters that roam the Duskgloom sea, and she didn't want to run into one of them. But, she had to get White Pearl back. She began to swim towards the glint tentatively, eyes never in one place. She yelped when she was rapidly spun, flailing around to try and regain control of her motion again. When she finally stopped spinning, she was met with someone who looked like White Pearl but...they were...wrong. They smiled not with warmth but...bloodlust.
"White...White Pearl?" Frilled Jellyfish asked again, brows knitting together. She held her hands over her heart, lest not to reach out and provoke the cookie(?) in front of them. The last thing she wanted was to be kidnapped and killed by a creature of this sea.
"No, no...she's gone, unfortunately. My name is Black Pearl now." The cookie before her answered, tail swaying behind them as they lazed on the broken headpiece of a wrecked ship. If it were still above the water, it would've been a marvelous ship. Frilled Jellyfish' slight smile fell at the answer, and she tried to quietly back away, but all was seen by the other. She didn't let her leave, she circled around her like a shark.
"O-oh...um...um..." Frilled Jellyfish stammered, trying to find something to say as a distraction. She never was good under pressure though, perhaps they knew that. No...they did know it. They were still White Pearl...they were just different.
"What's the matter? Having a hard time coming up with something?" Black Pearl teased, snickering. She had stopped circling her now, but she was much closer. Frilled Jellyfish kept her mouth shut this time, frowning harder as she looked at the black mermaid. If sneaking away wouldn't work, then maybe she could catch her by surprise and dart out...
"I don't think you quite understand yet..." Black Pearl started, cupping Frilled Jellyfish' head, looking at her with now oddly kind eyes, "I'm never letting you leave." The mermaid finished, catching Frilled Jellyfish off guard with a kiss. It was a proper kiss, but it didn't last long. Still, it was enough to leave her mouth agape, yelping as she was drug hard and fast down to the depths of the Duskgloom sea. She doubted Black Pearl would kill her, no, she would've already done so, but that didn't mean she wasn't aware of what would be her fate. An escape, then. She needed to escape.
