Hollow threats

Summary:

Cuddles wants information. Party won't give any.

Work Text:

The room was quiet, the only thing breaking the silence being either the screams of a far-away patient or the flipping of a page. Along with this, the small office was in one of its rare moments where it was dimly lit, the only thing keeping it from being pitch black being a few birthday cake scented candles, gifted from a staff member.

Seated behind the desk was a chinchilla, staring down at the giant book behind his mask. His tail swayed gently as he read the text on the pages.

~~~~~~
Uni Cornelius
Uni's attraction to Barry Ill has grown more since the last time he came here. He's been shown to be in a more depressive state of mind every time he comes here after a fight or just simply overthinking. He claims he doesn't want to feel this way due to Barry being so mean to him, but at the same time can't help his feelings, and in some moments feels arousal from Barry's rude nature. It seems as if these feelings won't go away any time soon.
The rodent huffs in annoyance reading over this. They quickly flip the page to forget it, but don't even have the chance to read what's next.
A sudden flash makes his fur stand on end out of shock, whipping his head up to see that the lights had turned on and the door was opened. In the doorway was the familiar shape of the “rabbit,” though both of them knew what the species really was. The mole grimaced at the overwhelmingly sweet smell of the candles around them.
“Smells disgusting.”
The chinchilla blurted out in quick defense.
“Remind me, when was the last time you showered, cuddles?”
Their boss narrowed his eyes.
“Exactly 4 weeks ago. I can smell you from over here.” They're lucky he can't hurt them.
Cuddles seems to quickly shake off the remark, walking in and shutting the door with his foot.
“Well, Dr. Party, I think you know what im here for.”
Of course. Not like he can read his mind or anything. Sure.
Party keeps himself from being too snappy, simply responding with a formal tone.
“You want to nag me about the patients weaknesses and emotional, conflicting feelings.”
Cuddles smiles, party does the opposite.
“I'm not telling you anything, cuddles.”
The hairless beast's grin quickly flips into anger, stomping a foot closer.
“Oh party, you don't understand what i can do to you if you don't comply with me. So cmon, why don't you tell me a lil bit about hm.. good ol’ hemera?”
Party's ear twitches, but they stay silent.
“..how about caroline?”
Yet again, no answer.
Cuddles looks down in aggression, but an idea seems to click in his brain. The brain you surprisingly have, party kept the insult behind his teeth.
“..ah i know. How about the purple one you seem to have an attachment to.. uni?”
Party's tail unknowingly fluffs up a size bigger, no longer being able to hide the aggravation in their face. They stand up and walk around the desk, keeping his tail nice and smooth to show no weakness. He looks down at the smaller man, the eye behind his mask narrowed.
“I won't tell you anything. We both know there's nothing you can do for me to speak out.”
Cuddles reaches into his pocket, and party knows what he might do.
“You'll regret not tellin’ me anything, rat.”
Party leans down to cuddles’ height and speaks in a low tone.
Make me.”
As if on cue, cuddles whips something out of his pocket and slashes the taller in the face, making them stumble back into a table and yelp. Party feels around on his face and touches a stinging gash on his cheek, along with a chip of his mask sliced off. Along with this, cuddles had somehow managed to almost swipe partys mask off of their head, as it was tilted enough to where it could just barely cover their blazing eye.
Party turned his attention back to cuddles, who was reaching for the giant book that he was reading.
Fuck!!
With a low growl, party sprinted over with his jaw open. He snapped his teeth around the smaller man's neck from behind, making him let out a yelp. Party sadly knew cuddles wasn't physically capable of feeling pain, but bit down hard enough for his teeth to sink into the flesh knowing it would still be an unpleasant feeling for the other.
His boss squirmed around and tried hitting the other, but was unable to as party animalistically shook him in his fang's grasp, the taste of blood making the feeling of doing this all-the-more better.
The fanged rodent then tossed cuddles against the floor, their ear twitching from the sound of blood dripping onto the ground from both anthries.
Party looked like a rabid ferry at this point. Their tail was twice the size it usually is, a snarl visible with their scarlet-dripping fangs. A low growl came out of him as he towered over the doctor, looking as if he were about to strike again.
Cuddles had no fear in his eyes, but rather shock as the blood trickled down his back and shoulders. With a heave of a breath, cuddles stood up and made his way towards the door.
“Well, fun talking to you. I have business to attend to, so I'll just get the information out of you later.”
With a slam of the door, party was finally able to atleast try and relax, licking his teeth clear of blood as his fur flattened. He wiped the remaining blood away from his mouth, some of it staining his grey fur, and sat back down behind his desk.
They opened the book again, adjusting their mask straight and started reading.
