It was summer of 1985
The party (only Will, Mike and Lucas actually) was hanging out. The day passed by normal. They played dnd for 4 hours and then just chilled until this awkward question came from Lucas: „You and El…. Are you..? yk? Together?“
„No! Why tf would you think that?“ Mike replied annoyed. „You guys look quite coupley. I shipped you guys since the beginning!“ Lucas said. Only if he knew that Mike has a crush on Will. For a lotta time actually.
„Stfu“ Mike said and added „You should probably go home now it’s 11 pm and we unironnically don’t want anything to happen to any of y’all“
„What about Will?“ Lucas asked. „I’ll just stay here, we were gonna make a two people sleepover“ Will replied. Lucas raised his eyebrow but got up and left.
„So what are we gonna do now?“ Mike asked
„We could tell eachother secrets. Idk any of your secrets anymore. Who do you have a crush on btw? I know this is an awkward thing but this could help us to not break our friendship“ Will said
„I do have a crush on someone but why would telling that to you fix our friendship? Why do we have to fix it anyway?“ Mike asked feeling like he did something wrong, cause how do you need to fix their friendship?.
„I don’t know anything what’s going on in your life cause of all the monster stuff that has been going on.“ Will said
„Yeah ok we can tell eachother stuff but I’m not telling you who I have a crush on“ Mike said.
„Why not? Is it me?“ Will said jokingly but it still made Mike get a little jumpscare. „Chill, I’m just kidding“ Will added wich made Mike be calm again „But seriously. who is it.“
„No one“ Mike said knowing damn well that Will can see that he’s lying cause of his expression.
„You just told me you had a crush on someone. Is it actually El? It’s not anyone from the party is it? Is it Ma-“ Will tried to say but Mike broke him off with literally screaming „ITS YOU!“ Wich even scared him and not only Will. Will looked shocked wich made Mike get anxious cause what if he’s gonna tell everyone? But then Will started to smile. It looked like he was crying but not out off sadness more like happy tears. Mike looked at Will like this emoji:🥴. He was damn confused.
But then Will came closer to Mike he came closer… and closer…. And closer… until there was less than an inch space between their faces and then the space completely disappeared after Will smoothly closed the gap between their faces with kissing Mike. It only lasted like 10 seconds (Too short in Mike‘s opinion). But it was one of the best 10 seconds of Mike‘s life.
„So you…. Like me back?“ Mike asked shyly.
„OFC YOU IDIOT! SINCE ALWAYS! Are you really this clueless?“ Will said
„Of course I didn’t! What were even the signs?“ Mike said as if Will acted like the most heterosexual person when he’s around Mike
„I literally draw you like a lil too much and I am literally staring at you and I was not even trying to hide that!“ Will said as if Mike was stupid
Well……. In conclusion….. Mike was actually stupid.
„How come you didn’t notice that I liked you. I starred at you nonstop. I was literally trying to confess last autumn. I literally said that being friends with you was the best thing that ever happened to me“ Mike said.
Maybe they were both clueless
*awkward silence*
The awkward silence was broken from this time Mike going up to Will and kissing him again. They were just kissing nothing else. After 5 minutes they went to bed cause they were hella tired. „Are we couple now?“ Mike asked.
„if you want to“ Will said.
„Ofc. can we tell the party too?“ Mike said
„If you want to. They probably already assumed I was gay anyway“ Will said
„I didn’t“ Miem said
„They’re not as clueless as you“ Will said
„Good night Will :)“ Mike Said softly in his Will voice
„Good night Mike :)“ Will replied
