Work Text:
"I hate you so much." is the phrase that always comes out from a certain protagonist. No matter what time of day it is, he'll always find a way to slip that phrase out of his mouth.
And everytime, his reader would simply shrugged it off and takes the insults light heartedly. merely laughed at it, playing it off as a joke. There was no reason for him to take it seriously because both of them were already aware of the truth behind those words. There are words that isn't necessarily to be spoken out loud just for them to understand.
The silence was already enough for them. Pleased that they could find comfort in eachother's presences, so there was really no reason to say their thoughts aloud. But maybe, for once they'll make an exception.
"joonghyuk-ah. Do you think after all the scenarios are completed, we'll be living normally again?"
"Still having the energy to talk even at a time like this.. what's with the sudden question."
"I just thought that i'd make an exception to have a conversation with you today."
"Your question is too difficult to answer. We both know that the possibility of that happening is low."
"We've already changed the scenarios far too many times, dont you think we could also change the ending?"
"Then I wish to see that ending you're talking about."
"You will, I know you can. You all will."
"Cut the lies, Kim Dokja. We all know that you won't be with us by the time we reached that ending."
"You know me too well, Yoo Joonghyuk. Let's meet again soon, yeah? I promise that you'll reach the end with me."
Kim Dokja's body had given up when the sword had pierced through his heart, crumbling as it turns into dust. Yoo Joonghyuk was afraid for the first time. The thought of not being able to see eachother anymore haunted him. He desperately grasp on that promise Kim Dokja made, with full knowledge that it's another one of his empty promises. Yet he couldn't risk to regress and ruin this round; The only chance where he could see Kim Dokja as a whole. He would rather wait a thousand years, just so he could meet him again. He's a desperate protagonist that wants his reader to come finish the story they've created, so he'll wait patiently for him to back back no matter how long it will take.
