Work Text:

It really wasn’t their intention - it wasn’t even a dream they had. It was impulsive, stupid and, quite frankly, a mistake - but that’s what they tended to specialise in.

They had just graduated high school when it happened and Jesper and Kaz snuck alcohol into their celebration with friends. Since they were all alone and were trying to have a fun night, no one protested when they started pouring out shots for everyone to take.

They were each probably 10 shots in when Nina dragged them all into her basement they were introduced to an array of different instruments. In the blink of an eye, Wylan was inspecting a dusty keyboard and Kuwei was playing random fills on a dinky drum set.

In a moment of drunken strength and determination, they all managed to transfer the instruments upstairs and let both Kuwei and Wylan do their thing. After some occasional arguing, they both agreed to play whatever the other Crows recommended.

As it grew further into the night and they got drunker and drunker, it seemed that Jesper and Inej were the only ones left standing and giving Kuwei and Wylan songs to play. The other two were far more sober than the rest of them, having been too distracted by playing their instruments to drink with the rest of them. They were only awake due to pure serotonin.

Their group had become just Inej and Jesper singing duets while Kuwei and Wylan played their back track as Nina filmed and cheered tiredly. Matthias was fast asleep, draped over the loveseat by himself. Kaz had claimed Nina’s room for the night and she didn’t even bother to protest as he climbed the stairs.

It wasn’t until Kuwei started to lose the rhythm of the song Jesper had chosen that they decided to stop. Giving up the sofa to Inej and Nina, the rest of them took up random spots on the floor. Quite frankly, too drunk and too tired to care about how uncomfortable the position was. That was how they all slept, not before Nina uploaded the videos to her Instagram story.

It wasn’t meant to get much traction, just to show how much fun they had that night. She wasn’t at all expecting her few followers to have such a good reaction to it. She woke up, earlier than everyone else, to multiple dms praising the four’s performance. In her hungover genius, Nina posted the video to YouTube and went about her day by going back to sleep, cuddling Inej with a satisfied huff.

She had completely forgotten about it until a few days later when Inej was blowing up her phone asking her why there were random people mentioning her on social media, talking about an “amazing cover” she, Jesper, Kuwei and Wylan had made. It took her a moment, but Nina realised that something must have happened with the video she uploaded and, when she checked, she was greeted with almost a million views on their drunken singing.

Initially, Inej, Wylan and Kuwei were against the idea that so many people were watching them perform. Jesper seemed to be revelling in it, scrolling through the comments and reading them out to the group. It was Kaz who suggested that they keep uploading covers, since people seemed to receive them well.

Seeing how confused his friends were, Kaz mentioned that they could make quite a bit of money off of this. People were interested to hear more of them and would likely tune in on the next covers they released. He suggested that they could capitalise off of it.

Neither Inej nor Wylan were up to the idea, still preferring to stay out of the spotlight. On the other hand, Jesper agreed immediately and Kuwei seemed to be deeply considering it. It didn’t take too much convincing for Inej and Wylan to agree, it only took Nina and Jesper’s skills to render the two useless and red in the face.

So, that’s what they did. When they weren’t busy in college, the four of them would meet up to film and record cover songs. Nina had renamed the channel to “Sign of Crime” and that became the name they were known for. Occasionally, Nina would drop by with Inej to do their makeup, hair and outfits and to take pictures. Kaz took control of their social media accounts when he realised the 4 of them together on one account caused messy promotions. Matthias simply praised them from afar.

For most of their first year in college, this is how they earned money. They would post a cover and reap the benefits. It was good, but it only got better when Jesper approached the group with lyrics he had written and asked Wylan if he could help with making a melody for the song. It was their first songwriting project and would lead to many more in the future.

Luckily, with the right promoting from Kaz, they started to release their own music and got good traction for it. Jesper wasn’t the only one to write song lyrics, they all tried their hands at songwriting and each time they’d go to Wylan to make the song’s melody from scratch. It was worth it though, as it gained them more loyal fans and more people wanted to hear their original pieces.

Through Kaz’s mysterious connections, they had an opportunity to be signed to a record label. Fortunately, they still had a say in the creative process. They also got to discussing albums, music videos, interviews and concerts in the future.

It was one year after they signed themselves to the label that they finally announced their first concert. While they didn’t plan to perform at many places at first, their audience was still decently big. Besides a few panic attacks and stage fright on Wylan’s part, the group believed that they performed well. Their first few concerts were enjoyable, full of excitement about performing live and seeing their fans

Though, during one particularly loud and adrenaline-filled concert, Jesper made his way over to Wylan’s keyboard, leaned over it to grab Wylan by the tie and all but smashed their lips together while Inej sang her verse in the background. The feel of Wylan’s cold labret piercing against his warm lips was grounding and, quite frankly, addicting. It was the best mistake he had ever talked Wylan into.

When Jesper pulled away with one last peck to his lips, he noticed Kuwei staring at the two in shock. With Inej’s part coming to an end, Jesper quickly made his way to Kuwei, grabbing his cheeks and pressing their lips together. Kuwei went limp, completely forgetting to play the drums which left only Inej’s guitar and Wylan’s keyboard playing. Jesper pulled away, grinning when he heard how loud the crowd was screaming. He blew Inej a kiss before singing into his microphone with a newly found fervour. Inej laughed and he thought he saw her give Wylan a long kiss on the cheek.

Despite it being a spur of the moment decision, it had become the norm for them. At first, it had just been Jesper occasionally kissing the two - with their permission beforehand - but eventually Wylan and Kuwei made it a habit to get up to kiss one of the two and when they couldn’t they’d blow air kisses to each other. Of course, Inej was included - though she made it clear they were to stay with kisses on cheeks and foreheads and nothing else.

These kisses became a popular part of their concerts, something the fans started to look forward to. And, quite honestly, the band looks forward to it too, though they wouldn’t admit it to anyone.

As the media does, these acts of affection had started quite a few rumours among the fans. People argued quite a bit about who was dating who, if this was all a publicity stunt or why they even cared in the first place. Honestly, the three enjoyed seeing the discourse quite a bit - often sharing posts and edits to each other.

“Wy, look!” Kuwei exclaimed, plopping down on Wylan’s lap to show off a particularly good edit of Jesper he had stumbled across. Looking up from his laptop, Wylan watched the edit play out. It included many short clips of Jesper singing but would occasionally play clips of him kissing Kuwei or Wylan. “Doesn’t this make you blush?”

Nodding in approval when the edit ended, Wylan went back to working on a beat on his laptop. “Send that to me.”

Kuwei nodded, not moving from his spot on Wylan’s lap, continuing to scroll on his phone. Wylan didn’t mind, he shifted Kuwei a bit so he could get his arms around him to reach his laptop but other than that, he left him to do his own thing.

Jesper went out to do some shopping with Nina and Inej, leaving Kuwei alone with Wylan. They all lived together, minus Inej - who moved in with Nina. It was more convenient for them, so they could all be in close proximity while they worked. That was it. That was the only reason.

It definitely didn’t have anything to do with the way Wylan’s stomach did flips whenever he heard Kuwei or Jesper approaching. Had absolutely nothing to do with the way his face heated up whenever their eyes would linger on him for too long. Not with the way they always found a way to touch him or the way he could tell their eyes always drifted to his lip piercing outside of concerts.

Hell, it wasn’t even the way they pressed against him and held him as they kissed messily during a concert. The way Kuwei melted against him whenever he initiated a kiss had nothing to do with it. Not even the way Jesper’s legs would almost give out when Wylan kissed him and he’d have to try his best to keep Jesper standing.

It was all business, really.

That’s what he tried to tell himself, at least. To a certain extent it worked. If he thought about it hard enough, sometimes he could actually convince himself they only did this for the fan reactions and money. Not because he adored Kuwei’s flushed cheeks and embarrassed grumbling or the happy grin Jesper wore for the rest of the concert after he got kissed. It was all professional. They were friends, but they were also coworkers. He had to be professional.

Wylan didn’t think it was professional to have Kuwei cuddled up on his lap while he worked. So he put his laptop away as a way to dismiss his growing concerns. This way, he wasn’t working. Besides, with his head against Kuwei’s chest and his fingers combing through his hair, Wylan thought this was much better than working. Especially when Jesper finally came home, dropped his shopping bags and joined their cuddle pile.

“Goldie, why are we cuddling Wylan,” Jesper whispered eventually.

Kuwei tutted and rolled his eyes. “At first, it was just me cuddling him until you butted in.” Despite the comment, Kuwei kept his hand around Jesper’s wrist.

“Oh,” Jesper hummed, laying his head back on Wylan’s shoulder. “Thought he had a bad day or something.”

Before Wylan could reassure him that he hadn’t, Kuwei spoke. “Well, he’s been working all day. So, he very well may have been having a piss poor day,” Kuwei observed Wylan’s face, as if trying to confirm what he said was true. “We definitely made it better though.”

Rolling his eyes and leaning over to pick up the remote control, Wylan didn’t dignify him with an answer. His day had been pretty shitty. Something about the track he was working on wasn’t quite right and their producer was too busy to help him. Mixed with his complicated feelings about his best friends, he was kind of stressed. But the warmth and pressure Kuwei and Jesper were giving him definitely made him feel better about the track he was working on. Not so much about his feelings for them, though.

Putting on a movie wasn’t the best idea, Wylan discerned. It was meant to act a distraction, something to keep them occupied so he wouldn’t stay so focused on the way Jesper and Kuwei draped themselves over Wylan.

Instead, Wylan had Kuwei and Jesper constantly whispering in his ear and shifting against him to whisper to each other. If anything, the movie made it so the only thing he could focus on was them. So, he spent the rest of the movie with his eyes unfocused and head leaned back - just waiting for the movie to end and dismissing it as boredom.

The moment that the movie ended, Wylan was detangling himself from the 2 bodies and running to his room, yelling a quick goodbye. He didn’t bother listening to their confused yells back and shut his door.

Despite having run away from them, they still texted Wylan - trying to see if he was alright. It only made Wylan shove his face into his pillows and groan. The fact that they cared enough to check up on him turned his brain to mush.

Wylan knew he was too far gone, but he still sucked it up and held it in. Like he had been for the past few years. Wylan silenced his phone and tossed it carefully across the room - burying himself in his covers and hiding from his problems yet again.

It all came to a head during their next concert. Wylan was feeling particularly stressed about the songs they were about to perform - they were more vocally straining than their usual songs but Jesper and Inej insisted they’d be okay. As well as that, Nina had put Kuwei in some mesh, opaque shirt which made the scars on his chest, covered with intricate tattoos, more visible. Wylan couldn’t look away, it flustered him knowing that he designed the tattoo. The feelings swirling in his stomach were making him feel sick.

“You okay, Wy?” Nina asked, tying a tie around Wylan’s neck. It had become a signature part of his concert looks. It was also Jesper and Kuwei’s favourite thing to pull him by - he wondered if they’d do the same thing during this concert.

“Yeah I’m fine. Just…stage fright,” Wylan lied through his teeth. Nina didn’t look convinced at all, they all knew Wylan’s stage fright had gotten better by now. If anything, he thrived on stage.

“Uh huh,” Nina moved onto his makeup, applying lipstick while avoiding his piercing. “This isn’t because of your massive crush on two very specific men, right?”

Wylan glared. He hadn’t told Nina about his feelings for Jesper and Kuwei, she found it out herself and confronted him about it. “ No, ” Wylan grumbled. “It’s not just about them. I’m also nervous because we haven't performed these songs live yet.”

“Wy, you say that before every concert but the moment Jesper or Kuwei kisses you, you end up loosening up and forgetting about that stuff completely,” Nina rolled her eyes, tilting Wylan’s head to apply mascara on him.

No, I loosen up because I can see how much our fans like the songs, Neens,” Wylan grumbled, hoping the nickname would calm Nina down enough to not poke him in the eye with the mascara brush.

“I’m sure that’s part of it,” she rolled her eyes. After some finishing touches, she pat Wylan on the cheek. “You’ll be fine. With the concert and with your pining. Now, shoo.” Nina waved a dismissive hand towards Wylan when she realised Inej was waiting for her turn.

Inej gave Wylan a sympathetic smile, having heard the end of their conversation. She knew that Wylan had been interested in someone recently. But not who he was interested in. It wasn’t like he didn’t trust her - she was Jesper’s best friend and Wylan was scared she’d let it slip. She gave him no reason to feel like that. Blame it on trust issues.

Giving what he hoped was a reassuring smile back, Wylan walked out into the lounge area where Jesper and Kuwei were chatting before their concert. They both looked relaxed, which meant they looked much better than Wylan did right about now. There must’ve been something in the air because they both seemed to be glowing right now and it made Wylan’s chest hurt.

The feeling only got worse when Jesper pulled him onto the sofa with them then proceeded to run a thumb over Wylan’s piercing, shifting his face to show Kuwei.

“This lipstick colour is pretty on him, right?” Jesper asked, leaning in closer to look at the lipstick colour.

“Oh, yeah. It’s gorgeous. You should ask Nina what shade it is,” Kuwei nodded, cupping Wylan’s cheek to inspect his lips. Wylan was sure his face was pink, it took every fibre of his being to not run away from the situation.

“You know, maybe we shouldn’t kiss him during this concert. I kind of don’t want to mess up this lipstick.”

“But I kind of want some for myself,” Kuwei leaned in close, their noses almost brushing each other. Then, he pulled away. “We have to wait till the concert, though.”

Kuwei shrugged and let go of Wylan’s face, leaning away to scroll on his phone. Jesper nodded in agreement and also let go of Wylan, only leaving an arm around Wylan’s shoulder.

Wylan thought he was going insane. He didn’t utter a word during the whole interaction, too lost in the way they caressed his face and complimented his make up. At first, it felt nice but Wylan was starting to get frustrated. He had to clench his teeth so he wouldn’t say anything rash, but their “will we, won’t we?” dynamic was starting to wear his patience thin.

It felt like they were making fun of him, looking down on him. Their soft gazes were starting to warp into something patronising, looking at him like he was someone easy for them to tease and flirt with. He didn’t like that he was viewing his friends this way - they’d never actually think of him like this. Either way, it’s what his mind started echoing in his head whenever they looked at each other or touched.

Wylan just wanted to understand what was happening between them - he wanted to know if he was reading too much into it and it was just a bit of fun. That he just didn’t understand it. The confusion clouded his mind and he didn’t know how much time passed before they were being ushered out onto the stage.

Wylan’s nerves were jumping and it felt like he was having stage fright again. He didn’t feel prepared for this concert anymore. It didn’t even help when Kuwei grabbed his hand reassuringly - if anything, it deepened the pit in his stomach. Wylan wanted to pull away, to curl into himself and throw up. When the excited screams of the crowd became more clear as they approached the stage, Wylan decided to focus on eliminating those thoughts. He had to focus on the music - whatever personal problems he had must be dealt with outside of the concert.

The minute Wylan stepped on stage and was met with flashing lights and yelling, he actually did momentarily forget about it all. Too busy admiring the amount of people there to watch them, who held up drawings and signs that his bandmates would occasionally read out to him. The way the crowd cheered their name had him frozen in awe. Not frozen enough to start playing their songs, of course.

The first half of the concert went well, the fans seemed to love the songs being played live. Inej and Jesper were telling the truth when they said they’d be fine performing these new songs and Wylan couldn’t be prouder. Wylan let Kuwei have some more freedom when it came to playing their songs live, and his playing made the songs much more energetic, fitting for a concert. Wylan was thrilled, making a complete 180 from his feelings of dread just before this concert.

One particular song had Wylan using a keytar, something that the fans hadn’t seen yet and they seemed to love the change. It meant Wylan got to actually roam the stage for once, not confined to his keyboard. It was  a song Wylan was more lyrically involved in - with the help of Inej. While Inej and Jesper sang the bulk of the song, Wylan had his own moments.

The song itself was very romantically charged, going on about reckless love and loving the risk of it all. It was a good bonding moment for Inej and Wylan, it also helped Wylan be more in tune with his own romantic emotions. So, as the song was coming to an end and Wylan looked around and his bandmates, he felt a surge of impulsivity.

While Inej closed the song off, Wylan made his way over to Kuwei - cupped his cheeks and kissed him hard, almost trying to confess his feelings to him wordlessly. Kuwei reciprocated happily, wrapping an arm around Wylan’s waist.

Full of adrenaline now, Wylan took a risk and climbed into Kuwei’s lap, deepening the kiss. He could hear the crowd scream at his every move but, for once, Wylan wanted this kiss to be for them and not the fans. Even if Kuwei didn’t realise it. Surprised by Wylan’s sudden boldness, Kuwei could only try his best to keep up with Wylan, making sure he wouldn’t slip off of his lap.

When Wylan pulled away, Kuwei pressed their foreheads together, trying to ground himself again. Before Kuwei could ask him what that was about, Wylan was already scrambling off of his lap - pretending to not notice the way his lipstick transferred to Kuwei’s lips.

Silently, Wylan made his way to Jesper who was staring at him with wide eyes. He opened his mouth to speak, but Wylan was already pulling him down by the collar to kiss him just as hard. Unlike Kuwei’s shocked reaction, Jesper immediately wrapped Wylan’s tie around his hand and pulled him closer.

Despite expecting the kiss, Jesper was still shocked at the intensity of it all. There was intention behind the way Wylan’s mouth moved and he didn’t understand yet what that intention was. He couldn’t - his mind was turning to mush and he was in no place to be decoding Wylan’s behaviour. So, he just kissed Wylan back with the same ferocity.

The song ended and that’s when they pulled away. Jesper tried his best to fix Wylan’s messy lipstick. “You alright?” Jesper whispered, moving his microphone away from his mouth. “Do we need to talk?”

Wylan patted his shoulder. “Later,” he mouthed, nodding his head towards the crowd.

He walked back to his keyboard, giving Inej a light peck on the cheek on his way there. After settling back down, Wylan took in the expressions of the people in the front row. They were shocked, borderline scandalised. Quite a lot of them had their phones out recording them. They were probably already uploading the kisses online for everyone to see. Wylan tried not to dwell on it as they continued on with their concert.

The rest of the concert went well, more kisses were shared but it was accompanied by unreadable glances. The songs were performed perfectly and the crowd seemed to move on from the previous kiss, having new ones to focus on. Wylan also focused so much on his playing that he almost forgot what he had just done. Almost.

The moment the concert ended and they walked off of stage, Wylan speed walked away from the rest of the band. He could hear Jesper call after him but he felt like he needed to calm down before they talked about it. So, he locked himself in his dressing room, busying himself with taking off his makeup and getting dressed. Though, the moment he finished, he collapsed into the chair and looked at himself in the mirror.

He was a mess. His face was red, he had scrubbed too hard at his skin trying to get the makeup off. His hair was a mess and his clothes were barely presentable. Still, he pulled out his phone and sent Jesper and Kuwei a voice message to meet him in his hotel room. Groaning, he tried thinking of ways he’d make his way out of the venue without one of the two seeing him.

With the help of Nina and Matthias, he managed to get out without being noticed. Now, he was pacing his hotel room trying to think of what he’d tell the two of them. Should he confess his feelings? Try and play it off as an act for the concert?

Before he could make the decision, there were impatient knocks on his door and Kuwei’s voice was clear. “Wylan, we’re here. We need to talk. What’s wrong?”

For a moment Wylan considered making a mad dash out of his balcony but decided against breaking both of his legs. So, in the end, he opened his hotel room door and Kuwei barged in while Jesper shut the door behind him. Kuwei sat down on Wylan’s bed, legs and arms crossed. “So? What the hell?”

Wylan bit his lip. He knew Kuwei was kind of harsh, it’s something he quite liked about him even if he pretended to think otherwise. Still, it didn’t help to calm his nerves, usually he’d be able to take his tone in stride and banter with him but today was not a usual day.

Laying a hand on his shoulder, Jesper led Wylan to the bed and sat them both down in front of Kuwei. “Hey, Wy. Calm down. We’re not mad, just a little confused. That was a lot more than we usually do during concerts - not that we’re complaining. If you just wanted to try something new, that would be a valid explanation.”

Wylan realised that if he wanted to get over his feelings, he might as well get it over with now that they’re willing to listen.

“I just,” Wylan wrung his hands nervously. “I’ve been so fucking confused recently. Like, I’m feeling all these things but I have no idea what to do about it. You guys make me so unbelievably happy that sometimes it’s just overwhelming and terrifying.”

“What’re you talking about, Wy?” Jesper asked, raising his hand as if to touch Wylan but deciding against it last minute. Kuwei stayed silent, staring at Wylan with a blank look in his eyes.

“I’m talking about the kissing, the cuddling - us! I can’t be the only one, right? I can’t be the only one that feels something more when we kiss during concerts. It can’t possibly just be for the fans, there has to be something else there,” Wylan’s eyes started to well up. “But I feel like I’m going crazy. It seems so casual to you both sometimes -  and I’m not saying you are - but it feels like you’re leading me on sometimes and it just hurts -”

“We’re not leading you on,” Kuwei interrupted. Shocked by the interruption, Wylan looked up to face Kuwei. His eyebrows were furrowed and he looked almost offended at the claim. “Saints, Wylan, we’re not monsters. We’re not leading you on, no matter what you think.”

“Then what-”

“I like you, Wylan. I like you both,” Kuwei huffed, exasperated, looking between Jesper and Wylan. “Believe it or not, I don’t just go around kissing random guys. And, if I’m being honest, I was a little confused by our relationship too. I don’t care what you say, there’s no way what we do can be considered platonic. At least, what I feel isn’t platonic.”

“Well, since Kuwei already said it, I’m not embarrassed to say that I like you both too. I thought that was obvious the first time we kissed - but I guess not,” Jesper said nonchalantly. “I was kind of waiting it out, seeing what would happen overtime. Eventually, I guess, I just accepted that this was our norm.”

Aghast, Wylan stared at the two of them. Suddenly embarrassed by his emotional outburst, Wylan started furiously wiping the tears from his cheeks. Kuwei pulled Wylan’s hands away from his face and placed a tissue box in them.

“So, what now?” Jesper asked as Kuwei got off the bed to get Wylan a glass of water. “What’re we going to do with this information?”

Pouring a glass of water, Kuwei hummed. “Isn’t it natural for us to date? Isn’t that the point of confessions?” He walked back to the bed, giving Wylan the water.

“This situation’s a bit complicated, no?” Jesper wondered, watching the way Kuwei wiped the stray tears from Wylan’s cheeks.

“Polycules? I mean, if we were to date, I’d prefer this was a closed relationship. Not sure about you guys,” Kuwei shrugged, resting an arm lazily around Wylan’s waist.

“I’d like that too,” Wylan finally let out. “I’m not really attracted to anyone else right now. It’s only ever been just you two.”

“Yeah, same. I don’t have any problems with that. Plus, we can talk more about it as we navigate the relationship. If changes need to be made, we’ll talk about it together,” Jesper nodded, laying down and getting comfortable in Wylan’s bed.

“We’re keeping this from fans for now, though,” Kuwei stated, leaving no room for argument. He layed Wylan down on Jesper’s side and made himself a big spoon to Wylan. “People are already suspecting it but I just want to enjoy this for now.” Too tired to speak, Wylan only nodded in agreement and Kuwei left a gentle kiss on his jaw.

“Speaking of our fans,” Jesper pulled his phone out. They watched as Jesper went through his phone, opening up different social media apps.

“You have a secret account?” Kuwei mumbled, his cheek now pressed against Wylan’s hair so he got a better view of Jesper’s phone.

“Yeah? Of course? How else would I get into the depths of our fandom? I can’t just like random tweets on my verified account,” Jesper said as if it was obvious. “Plus, I’m kept in the loop - see?”

Jesper showed them the posts he had pulled up. Wylan was right, people wasted no time in posting clips of their kisses on stage. The fans were freaking out significantly more about Wylan’s impulsive ones. Kuwei and Jesper read out different posts to him.

“I can’t be the only one who thinks something about these kisses were just different…Something in the air tonight affecting Wylan. Serving cunt. Serving gay.”

“Somehow Wylan managed to find a way to climb Kuwei like a tree despite Kuwei being shorter than him??? That’s true love.” Jesper thought that one was particularly funny.

“THE WAY JESPER GRABBED HIS TIE?? CALM DOWN MR FAHEY HE’S NOT GOING ANYWHERE…”

In reply to that, “if you saw the way Wylan left that stage…he was definitely going somewhere LOL.”

“This is going down in Sign of Crime history…y’all look at the way Jesper and Kuwei looked at Wylan for the rest of the concert. Something is going down behind the scenes.”

“Save our sapphic queen Inej…getting all caught up in this homosexual drama…”

The kisses seemed to have made an impact on the fans and Wylan didn’t know if he liked it or not. Jesper and Kuwei seemed to be loving it - still reading out whatever funny posts they came across.

“Look! Not that bad, right? The fans loved your little stunt, baby,” Jesper grinned, putting his phone away. He turned on his side so that Wylan was pressed between him and Kuwei and he could drape an arm over the both of them. “We loved it too, to be clear.”

“Oh, absolutely. You should do that again. Maybe some tongue next time - I’m not sure we’ve ever gotten to feel your tongue piercing, Wy,” Kuwei joked, pulling a blanket over all of them.

“Ew, don’t phrase it like that. I would’ve considered it if you didn’t say it like that,” Wylan shivered. “Why do you want us to make out on stage in front of our fans?”

“To be self indulgent,” Kuwei shrugged. “You can’t get a lip and tongue piercing and not expect your boyfriends to want to experience kissing them.”

Boyfriends . The word made Wylan’s heart flutter. It was a new experience - but it felt right for Kuwei to call them that. They were boyfriends. Wylan had 2 boyfriends and they made him unbelievably happy. Sighing happily, Wylan leaned back to rest his head on Kuwei’s shoulder and tilted his head towards him.

“You don’t have to wait till a concert to try it,” Wylan smiled sleepily, puckering his lips. Kuwei wasted no time in leaning down to kiss him and Wylan hummed happily, relaxing into the kiss. He heard Jesper chuckle, squeezing both of them lightly.

When Kuwei was done inspecting the feel of Wylan’s tongue piercing, he pulled away with a satisfied nod. “Definitey hot as fuck. Will try again sometime in the future. Maybe even on stage.”

Jesper “ooh”ed and gently tilted Wylan’s head to face him. While Jesper kissed Wylan, Kuwei decided to take one for the team and stand up to turn the room’s light off. When he came back, they had gone back to cuddling in bed and when he joined them, he realised that Wylan was completely knocked out.

“You okay, Jes?” Kuwei asked into the dark.

“Oh, yes. I’m fantastic actually,” Jesper hummed sleepily. Kuwei could practically hear the smile in his voice.

“Great. Me too,” Kuwei hugged Wylan closer. “Then, goodnight, boyfriend.”

Jesper yawned. “Goodnight, boyfriend. See you and other-boyfriend tomorrow.”
