“Brain? Have you ever wanted to do something but you didn’t do it because you didn’t know what would happen if you did?”
“I believe you have just described the goal of science, so no, I have no way of relating to that. Testing out various scenarios is the only thing inching us closer to dominating the world. So, I’d say it's a very good practice to try anything and everything.. Some things are worthy of experimentation.” He took a moment to pause and tapped his chin, remembering that he was talking to Pinky. That did change things a bit. “...Within reason…”
“Do you know what I mean, Pinky?”
“Yes.”
“Do you really..?”
He stuck out his tongue in thought before answering truthfully, “No, not a clue actually.”
Brain sighed. “Remember our conversation about critical thinking? When you get an idea, like so many of yours that tend to end badly, what do you do?”
“Ummm….don’t do it…?” Pinky pondered with a finger on his lower lip, hoping he got it right.
“Yes, Pinky. Exactly.”
Pinky cheered, raising both arms in victory. He was right. “Hoo! Thanks, Brain. That is a load off my mind. I can always count on you to tell me what to do!”
Brain was smiling with his arms folded behind his back, “My pleasure.”
“Man, kissing you would have been a disaster, surely.”
Brain’s eyes shot open widely, a heavy frown of surprise drooping his face.
“---Not one of my better ideas. You certainly wouldn’t have been a fan of that.”
Brain’s mouth fell open.
“Now I know to never, ever, ever do that!” With that, Pinky skipped away, humming a tune.
Brain took off in a run after him “Pinky! WAIT! I did say some things are worthy of experimentation!”
