I don’t think we have met before.
My name is Starflight.
I have been locked in the same cave for nine years, two months, three weeks, five days and approximately-if I didn’t miscalculate it- four hours. I have never left my room during all this time and I have never seen the outside.
I live in the care of three captors, of which the names I can’t remember.
But still, I think we haven’t met before.
I’d love to give you a proper introduction, but my mind has been hazy and foggy lately.
Hazy.
Now that’s a funny word.
I don’t remember where I saw it for the first time. That’s odd; I usually remember everything from every scroll I ever read. I’ve read approximately 789 scrolls during my nine years, two weeks, five days and approximately four hours and a half of captivity.
I’m pretty sure I counted them all.
The sun is currently hitting the wall of my room; I should have already gotten my lunch.
Oh.
I guess I did, I can see the little bits of bone and meat on the other corner of the room, next to my bed. How equally weird, I could swear I had…
Made my bed… right before breakfast…
Why am I telling you this again? We haven’t even met.
My name is Starflight; I am a Nightwing, raised by my three captors I don’t know the name of.
I was raised to fulfill the Dragon Prophecy, to end the war that was caused by the sudden death of the Queen of the Sandwings. She had three daughters who are now fighting for the throne, and they have gotten all of the tribes in Pyrrhia involved.
Sandwings. Rainwings. Nightwings. Skywings. And….
I think those were all of the tribes.
I could swear there were seven.
But that can’t be right, I never forget everything.
I have been here for nine years and some months, and I haven’t forgotten a single thing.
I swear I haven’t!
They all think I do, they ask me a lot of basic questions every day. They say I’m forgetting stuff but my memory is surely impeccable. I remember everything ever, since my birth!
I swear!
I don’t know why they say that… I’m glad you’re here tho, I have so much to talk about and no one to listen!
But first I think we should introduce ourselves.
