🖤 The Collection 🖤
He stepped out onto the stage, the spotlight bright upon him as he gazed upon the sea of faces, their smiles and screams of delight at the sight of their favourite showman before them. A slight smirk escaped him.
They still didn't know. They still hadn't realised.
The silly humans had been so easy to fool. All it had taken was a few songs, a slight bow of appreciation on occasion, and they had fallen right for his spell. He'd even been able to hide in plain sight and had even told them the truth as he'd catefully weaved his craft. They had actually thought the part about collecting souls through music was fictional. But it wasn't. It was real.
The spells were hidden within the songs to both enchant and trap. Their souls were marked and he was slowly draining their essence in preparation for the day that they would join him in the underworld. Until then, he would continue to sing to them, to charm them, and by the time he'd be finished, they would actually be thankful to him and follow without question or hesitation. He would be their Master for the rest of eternity and there was absolutely nothing that anybody could do to stop him. They already loved him, their dear, sweet Copia and the human form that he took when he was not performing his rituals.
The females had been particularly easy to effect, just moving his body for them as if he were to fulfil the desire of making love to them, had them held by invisible chains to him. And their numbers were growing by the day, and with each one of them, his powers grew stronger.
They still didn't know. They still hadn't realised.
He took his place at the microphone, his ghouls thrashing at their guitars, and he began to sing, the surge of energy from the crowd feeding him even more power.
