Summary:

Addition to my ongoing Sebastian Sallow/William Sherrot fanfic 'Pain and Power'
I got this weird metaphor stuck in my head and went along with it. It's a bit vulgar, a bit sad, a bit dark at the end but it's the closest thing to a love poem there can be for these two.

Work Text:

Our love is not a flower,

it won’t grow into something pretty.

What blooms is venom in our blood.

It’s a snake bite in the junk.

Nothing but a dark desire,

it wouldn’t reach the heart.

But it was too late to suck and spit,

it did like venom does, it spread.

I lost control over my legs.

At first, I stayed a little longer,

then I stood at your command.

And now I’d follow you to hell.

Soon it’s gnawing at my guts.

Am I afraid for you? Of you? Of us?

Of consequences catching up?

Nothing I can’t swallow.

The grip on my wand tightens.

It has filled my fingertips.

To prove myself, to challenge you,

an endless dare.

My mouth is yours already.

Don’t need to tell you that.

To your magical endeavours,

I say ‘Go on, go further’.

It must have reached my ears as well.

My pleasure can come costly.

You see the things we do not share,

yet, not once I hear you say ‘enough’.

Did it skip the core?

Should it not end in death?

For sure, you say.

But never yours, nor mine.

You’re right, I say, if you die,

I’d find a spell, pay every price,

be it a million souls for one.

I’ll have you back by morning.
