Work Text:
It had been a long week. Finally finding the strength to make the move, Gwyn had packed up her few belongings from her dorm in the library and moved into the House of Wind.
Ever since the Blood Rite, Gwyn knew she didn’t want to let fear guide her actions. Despite needing to go back to the library right after the Rite, she didn’t want to be locked away any longer. She not only survived but won the whole Rite with her sisters. Knowing she was capable and actually getting herself to believe it seemed to be the problem.
Nesta had been encouraging- scratch that- badgering her about moving into the main house for weeks now. With Nesta and Cassian’s upcoming mating ceremony she still wasn’t sure about the timing but Nesta insisted that the timing didn’t matter. In fact, it was perfect, because Gwyn would be closer for Nesta to talk through details that Rhys seemed to keep adding, with her easily.
The High Lord’s extravagance knew no bounds. For someone like Nesta, Gwyn could tell his kindness was becoming overbearing. Everyone knew his gratitude came from a place of love. When Nesta saved Feyre she didn’t just save her sister, she saved Nyx and Rhys too. There was nothing that the High Lord wouldn’t give Nesta… but Gwyn thought she saw Nesta quickly go into breathing exercises before thanking him for the throw pillows he bought. Being a buffer and outlet for her chosen sister as she and the High Lord still work through their new found relationship was what convinced her to finally make the move.
Nesta insisted on meeting Gwyn in her dorm and showing her to her new room.
“Have I told you yet how excited I am your moving to the main house?” Nesta asked with a near squeal.
Snorting, Gwyn answered, “oh only like four times today. It must be a slow day for you.”
“You mock me priestess but it’s just because I can’t wait to have you so close to me.” She answered as she hugged her.
Ever since they won the Rite then Nesta saved her family, there was an openness that wasn’t there before. Gwyn couldn’t help to mentally compare the Nes standing before her to the grouch she met in the library.
As they rounded the corner, Nesta explained, “Cass and I are on the floor above. The House turned the bedrooms up there into one giant room for us with an en-suite that I could honestly live in. You’ll be on the same floor as Azriel.” Gwyn quickly looked up at that revelation in surprise. “Didn’t I mention that before? Is that an issue?”
“I feel like I would remember that! But it’s not an issue. You know I trust the Shadowsinger, it’s just a lot to adjust to. I mean I avoided all males as much as possible for three years and now suddenly I’m next door to one. It’s just a bit much.”
“I’m sorry, Berdara. I got caught up in the idea of you being up here that I didn’t think it all the way through. Are you sure you want the room?” Nesta apologized and asked as she opened the door for Gwyn to enter.
“MOTHER ABOVE!” Screamed Gwyn. “This is huge” she continued with wide eyes as she circled taking everything in holding her one box of everything she needed to move. “This can’t all be for me”
Gwyn was about to say something else but the door was flung open and Azriel with truth teller out and Cassian with fists up came bounding in searching intently.
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING?” Yelled Nesta.
“Cauldron, Nes. We heard yelling and we came running” replied Cassian as they relaxed their stances and Azriel stored truth teller away. .
At that, Gwyn felt a blush tint her cheeks. “I just got a little excited to see my new room.”
Nesta interrupted, “I was showing her around and if you bats are done here, I’ll continue doing just that.”
Cassian smiled at the insult and Azriel playfully narrowed his eyes as he started to scan the room, seemingly taking in every detail he could like the Spymaster he was.
“Az and I were just heading to the dining room if you want to join us.” Cassian informed them.
As if in response, Gwyn’s stomach rumbled. “Lunch sounds great.”
Nesta interjected, “we’ll meet you guys up there once I’m done giving Berdara her tour”.
Az and Cass walked out the door but Gwyn noticed a few shadows lingered as if they were inventorying everything. As she tsk’d at the shadows for spying on her, Nesta went to a bookshelf that was jam packed.
Nesta explained, I asked the House to make sure to get everything ready for you. When I moved in I didn’t have much that I could call my own so I wanted to give you a space, provide you with a few things, and then let you know that Cass and I got you a room-warming party gift of 5000 credits at the stores in town.”
Gwyn began choking on air as she asked, “5000?!? What am I going to do with 5000 credits? I mean you already gave me a library with all of Sellyn Drake’s latests.”
“Well take a look at the closet and tell me again that you don’t need anything”
With a frustrated groan she answered, “fine, I’ll use SOME of the credits but the ONLY reason is to fill this closet that’s bigger than my old room.
Nesta snorted as she grabbed Gwyn’s box laying it to rest on Gwyn’s new king size bed. “Let’s go eat before those males leave us with nothing.” Grabbing Gwyn’s hand she motioned to the door.
“Wait.” Replied Gwyn and she turned to take a running jump onto her new bed. Landing with a laugh she looked up seeing Nesta mid jump, following her lead. Both laying next to each other laughing and sharing in each other’s moment of pure joy.
——————-
Entering the dining room, Cassian asked Az, “How are the late night training sessions with Berdara going?”
The only sign of surprise Az gave at his question was a slight hesitation in his step. Clearing his throat, he answered, “We were doing some late trainings but since the Rite, I think we both have just been busy.”
Cassian gave a quick snort that had Azriel narrowing his eyes and biting back “don’t start, Cass. I just got Rhys off my back about Elain. Berdara and I just train together.”
Cassian jumped in with “I wasn’t implying anything. I heard Nes talking with Gwyn and it sounded like she hasn’t restarted them since the Rite. Just wanted to get your take. Although, now that we’re talking about it, you seem pretty defensive for someone who “just trains together”.”
Rolling his eyes, “you know Gwyn’s history. I doubt doing anything but training with a male is on her mind.”
Cassian stopped in his tracks, “You can’t really believe that, Az. For being the spymaster there are some things you’re really blind to. Do you have any idea the kind of books those females read? Haven’t you heard them talking about it during breaks at training?”
Az simply shrugged his shoulders as they made their way to the table that the House filled with their favorites.
“Smut. All kinds of smut. And if I remember right, I think Gwyn’s pick is next in their book club.” Az saw a small smirk begin to form on Cassian’s face.
“Gwyn’s picks are my favorite because THEY give Nes ideas.” A huge grin was painted on his face now in a daze. “ALL kinds of ideas.”
Grabbing a roll, Az chucked it at him bringing Cassian out of his daze.
With a quick cough, Cassian said, “All I’m saying is don’t discount what she might want just because of what she’s been through. And that wasn’t even the reason I brought this up. Do you think you can check in on her as she gets settled? Nes and I are a bit worried and just wanted another set of eyes orrrrr shadows on her.”
“Of course I’ll check in with her. I’m sure we’ll get back to training soon too. It’s just been a lot to take in.” In hopes of getting him off the subject of Gwyn, Az quickly asked, “how’s planning going for the ceremony.”
His plan worked perfectly as Cassian lost himself jumping into all the details of his upcoming mating ceremony. Only stopping when Nesta and Gwyn joined them.

(A few nights after the move)
One of the best parts of moving into the House of Wind were all the hidden libraries and nooks that just seemed to appear out of nowhere begging to be explored.
Since that night in Sangravah, she’d always struggled finding sleep. It seemed the best way to actually rest was to physically exhaust herself in the training ring or mentally tap out reading. Even then, nightmares chased her dreams away. It’s amazing how someone can just adapt to a lack of sleep.
She and Azriel tended to enjoy midnight trainings together but since the Blood Rite, she only participated in the morning training with the Valkyries. Reading would be her weapon of choice tonight. The House had created a door just this morning from her bedroom to a hidden library that Gwyn was dying to explore. Now seemed like the perfect time to start.
Hopping off her bed, Gwyn tugged her oversized sleep shirt down as she slid her feet into the Pegasus slippers Emerie gave her last year for solstice. The perfect night ensemble that was just missing the right book.
Gwyn took a deep breath as she entered the small library. There was something so calming about a room engulfed in books. This one had a scent of books, leather, and what she could only describe as a mix of cedar on a mist filled night. If there was ever a scent she would want to roll around in, this was it she laughed to herself.
Laying on the couch, Gwyn began to read. It was her favorite type of romance book. Well her favorite dark romance. Despite the fact that Gwyn was the last of Nesta and Emerie to get into smut, she was labeled the queen of filth by their little group. This latest book was her choice for their book club.
Sure, some people could think with what happened in Sangravah that Gwyn would be a prude or not want to explore sexually… but ohhhh how wrong they were.
The dark romances and smut that Gwyn loved most were rooted in trust. Whether it was dom/sub relationships, impact play, restraint action, or shibari/rope scenes she loved it all. To be able to find that person you trusted that much seemed to be such a dream. Gwyn could tell her scent was slightly shifting to a light hint of her arousal.
Snickering to herself, she thought about Nesta and Emerie’s reaction tomorrow in training after they’ve read a bit of her pick. “Madame’s Rules” was focused on a female madame who loved to restrain her lover in different ways.
From training, Gwyn had some ideas about restraints that she hoped were explored in this book. Thinking of training led Gwyn’s mind to think of a certain shadowy trainer which led her to combine those thoughts and think of a certain shadowsinger tied up and at her mercy.
Lost in the thought and her growing arousal, Gwyn heard a throat clear and a dark voice rasp “my, my priestess. Whhhaat are you reading?”
—-------------------------------
When Azriel opened the door to his study, his nostrils immediately flared with the intoxicating scent in the air. Blinking quickly, Azriel looked at the picture before him in his personal study. Gwyneth Berdara, lounging on his couch, reading in only an oversized shirt that was riding up to a dangerous level. He couldn’t help break her concentration when he taunted “my, my priestess. Whhhaat are you reading?”
“Cauldron above, you scared me, Shadowsinger” Gwyn answered as she slammed her book closed.
His shadows danced around the room seeming to chase the scent. One quickly came back to Az and reported, “Look at her eyes. See how she breathes. Our lovely priestess is aroused.”
Another shadow jumped to his ear, “She’s hiding a dirty book. Master should make our priestess read to us.”
Mentally rolling his eyes, he thought projected, “she’s not OUR priestess. The obsession you all have with her is borderline creepy. But while we’re on the subject of Gwyn, you guys could have warned me she was here.”
The first shadow responded, “Master wouldn’t have come in if he knew our priestess was here. Shadows wanted to dance with our priestess.”
Gwyn broke the mental conversation when she said, “What are you doing here?”
Az smirked, “What am I doing here, in my private study?” Looking around as if to make a point.
A blush crept up Gwyn’s body moving from the top of her shirt to her cheeks. Az and his shadows tracked the movement.
“Your study? The House created a door in my room that led in here. I just assumed it was a small library. I would have never thought to intrude.”
“Well if the House created a door, I’m sure it wanted you to have access, too. Just don’t tell the others. I like to have a place I can escape to. The House gave me a hidden door from my room right after Nesta gave the House its power. I think it knew I needed a place to get away from Nesta and Cassian flirt fighting.”
Gwyn chuckled “Oh I wonder if that’s why the House gave me access. Nesta and Cassian have been a bit much since I moved in.”
Without thinking, Az grabbed a book with one hand and sat down on the other end of the couch. With a book in one hand and leaning back to lounge across the couch with the other, Az went to look at Gwyn again.
“Mistake” he thought. This new angle had him see a hint of the blue panties that the priestess was wearing. A blue that happened to match perfectly to the color of his siphons which gave a slight flare. Gwyn nervously shifted her legs against each other.
With nostrils flaring, he caught another scent of Gwyn’s unmistakable arousal, that had him adjusting how he was sitting. “Mother above, that smell is so sweet…it makes me want dessert” he thought to himself and his shadows.
“Master should taste it” said one, and another jumped in with “Our priestess would love that” followed by “No, master, romance her first” then came an arguing “get on your knees for her and show–”
“Fuck, guys. You’re not helping this situation.” he interrupted.
“Shadowsinger?” Gwyn tentatively asked and only then did Az realize he didn’t respond to her last comment. Just then he saw Gwyn’s nostrils flare and eyes go a bit wide.
“Sorry, Gwyneth. The shadows were distracting me” he rushed in reply as he thought to the shadows, “aren’t you guys masking my scent?”
The shadows danced and answered, “no, master. The priestess should know.”
Gwyn cocked an eyebrow, smirking, “oh the shadows were distracting you. Do you always react that way to the shadows?”
—-----------------------------
Gwyn should have known this was Azriel’s sanctuary. Now she could place the scent that she wanted to roll around in, Azriel’s scent. It was everywhere mixing with the smell of old books.
A scent that now was laced with more than just a tinge of desire. After teasing Azriel, Gwyn bit her lip to mask that moan that was building from his scent alone. “What am I doing?” Gwyn thought to herself. Not knowing where the confidence was coming from, Gwyn felt her body react even more to Azriel’s reaction as a shadow leaped down to her wrist and danced up and down her arm. “Oh I like that feeling, '' Gwyn thought in response to the shadows playing.
Azriel, cocked a grin back at her, “Teasing isn’t very nice, priestess.”
Gwyn taunted in reply, “Who said I was nice?.” Smiling at their back and forth.
“I think you have the others fooled, but not me.” he teased and playfully narrowed his eyes.
“Oh, you think you have me figured out do you, Shadowsinger?” he heard his shadows laughing, seemingly in on her secrets.
“Not completely.” he smiled “But I think this could help figure you out” as he raised the book in his hands that she was hiding.
“Hey!” She shouted, but curiously, not at him but at his shadows. “I trusted you guys” she said with a pout as she went to reach for the book.
Azriel laughed at the attempt, as he dodged her reach. Opening the book to where she left off he quickly switched hands to hold it out from the priestess and began reading.
“The madame smiled at her handiwork... Rafeal gloriously naked and tied up at her mercy.” he read in a sultry voice as Gwyn blushed.
With a dive, Gwyn tried to leap over Azriel’s body as he continued, “She decided she would edge Rafeal until he apologized for being such a bad boy and not following her rules.”
By the end of the sentence and squeal of “Oh noooo” from Gwyn as she reached again for the book, Azriel realized their new position.
“Fuck” he thought to himself as Gwyn landed straddling his lap reaching up for the book. The sight of the priestess with her shirt jumping higher on her waist, exposing her blue panties that were straddling him, had his mouth run dry.
Gwyn grabbed the book and Azriel unconsciously moved his hands to Gwyn’s hips holding her in place. Clutching her book to her chest, Azriel nearly groaned when he saw that not only were her panties exposed but he could see the outline of hard nipples against her shirt.
The shadows were a flurry of movement all around them, distracting Gwyn from realizing their intimate position but causing her to relax into his lap. “Az! I can’t believe you just did that!”
Azriel had to cough to cover his groan this time. When she relaxed into the straddle, he could feel her pussy sit against his now hardening cock. “Fuck, fuck, fuck, can one of you fuckers help” he projected for his shadows.
With his scent growing thick and his cock doing the same under Gwyn, he started internally panicking and unconsciously grabbing her hips tighter. With a flare of her nostrils and a wiggle of her hips, Gwyn slowly turned her head to his.
“That wasn’t very nice of you, shadowsinger.” she parroted his tease from earlier. Frozen in place so Gwyn didn’t feel even more of his growing attention, Az didn’t know how to respond.
The only way that Az could describe the smile that graced Gwyn’s lips at that moment was sinister. She wiggled in his lap as she placed the book on the table behind her. Then with predatory skill, she moved her hands to Az’s shoulders and leaned to whisper the next line of the book with some personal adjustments, “You aren’t being a very good boy, are you, Shadowsinger. Good boys get rewards” and he felt her slowly roll her hips against him as he failed to muffle his moan.
Then she jumped off his lap and grabbed the book, shuffling to her door. With a quick glance back seeing Az frozen in place she gave a final taunt with that sinister smirk, “but bad boys are punished”.
Before Azriel could come with a retort, Gwyn closed the door and it vanished. Azriel was left in his study, surrounded with the scents of both of their arousals, mouth agape in shock, he thought, “what the fuck just happened.”
—----------------------------
As quickly as she closed the door, she sagged back against it. “What did I just do?” she thought to herself in horror and amazement. Shaking her head, she tried to forget the lure of Azriel’s arousal without luck. It was like once she felt him under her combined with his scent her body melted into his. The only way to survive that was to escape back to her room.
Biting her lip, she gave into the memory of his hands gripping her hips while she rolled against him. “Cauldron above, what got into me.” Shaking her head again, she walked back to crawl under her covers to continue reading.
It was then that she noticed a shy little shadow creep under her door. “Oh no, sir. You are in trouble! I can’t believe you helped him get my book!”
The little shadow cowered a bit in response.
“Ugh, you know I can’t stay mad at you.” and the shadow seemed to perk up.
“You can come snuggle as I read but NO telling your master anything. Do you understand?”
The shadow bounced in a way that reminded her of a dog wagging its tail as it moved up and down as if to say, “yes, ma’am”. Then in a blink it glided quickly to her bed and circled around her wrist and up her arm snuggling into her neck.
“You know that tickles, right.” she told the playful shadow causing it to go through the motions again as she laughed.
Picking up her book, she dove back into the story but couldn’t help that in place of the main characters she could only envision herself and Azriel. Smiling, she decided that she didn’t mind the image of them as the madame and her sub.
—---------------------
Still sitting in shock, the shadows circled and nudged Azriel as if to help him fully process what just happened. With a sudden smile he asked, “House, I’m not sure how your powers work but can you lend me a copy of the book Gwyn was reading? I’ll owe you one.”
He felt a bit silly talking to an empty space until a sudden pop was heard and a book dropped into his lap.
“Thank you” he replied in answer to the House’s kindness.
Azriel put his feet up on the couch and stretched his legs and wings out as he opened the book. He planned to read as much of “Madame’s Rules” as he could if it caused that reaction in Gwyn.
—---------------------
Gwyn looked at the clock in her room. “How is it 5am!?” she thought to herself. Looking down at the finished book she sighed and answered herself, “Well, I guess that’s how.”
I’ll just close my eyes for a few minutes to try and get a little sleep before training.
With the clang of the bells, Gwyn shot up. She just closed her eyes for a second and now she overslept. Throwing her leathers on and quickly tying her hair up with her Valkyrie ribbon, she ran out the door heading to the training ring.
“There you are!” yelled Nesta from her position stretching on the ground. “We were getting worried about you. Everything ok, Berdara?”
“Oh I’m good. I just overslept after reading.”
Emerie jumped in, “Oh my gosh, how far are you? I’m just halfway done.”
Gwyn blushed but smugly responded, “Oh I finished it… I devoured it. What about you Nesta?”
“I just have like 6 chapters left. I had to stop last night to try out a few things on Cassian that were in the book. I have to say, Berdara, your picks have been giving me great ideas. Cassian owes you a gift by now.”
Gwyn was about to respond when Cassian called out, “Ok ladies, grab a drink of water and Az and I will explain today’s lesson.”
They finished up the stretches they were on and then made their way to the water table. It was then that Gwyn saw Azriel. She felt a blush creep up her body as she recalled her boldness the night before. How will Azriel react today to what she did last night? Should she just pretend nothing happened? Yes, that seemed like the best course of action.
She felt Emerie’s nudge and saw Nesta’s mouth go into a full grin as Nesta took in what was being laid out. As she heard Azriel call to them, she began turning, “Today we will be learning about honey trapping and the use of restraints.”
Emerie spit her water out in laughter that was quickly joined by Nesta. Her face was crimson once she saw what was on the floor. All of the restraint tools that happened to be vividly described in “Madame’s Rules”.
Cassian leaned into Az slightly and cocked a smile at Nesta when he joked, “Nesta had the same idea last night.” Nesta marched up to him and lovingly punched his arm.
“Ow, Nes. I didn’t say anything you didn’t already say to Gwynie or Em.”
With a sigh, Nesta gave a head tilt in agreement.
Gwyn cleared her throat and with more confidence than she should have asked, “When did you decide to switch our training schedule to restraints, Shadowsinger? I thought we were having a refresher on footwork for swordplay.”
Looking at Gwyn in mock sincerity, Az replied, “I was inspired to switch the lesson to focus on restraints after last night.”
Feeling her face go crimson again, Emerie boldly asked, “Uh, what happened last night?” Glancing between the priestess and shadowsinger.
With a serious look on his face he responded, “I had a lot of late night reading and it made me think that the Valkyries needed to be trained in proper use of restraints and how to evade and escape them.”
Gwyn remained rooted to the ground staring at the shadowsinger. Breaking the long pause, Nesta curiously looked back and forth between Azriel and Gwyn and asked, “Reading?”
Azriel quickly turned to her and smiled, “I was up all night reading.” He stole a glance at Gwyn and smirked. Quickly wiping the smirk off, he continued, “my spy reports from the continent were concerning and I want you all as prepared as possible before any field work.”
Cassian jumped in, “and that’s when he woke me up at the ass crack of dawn to tell me he restructured today’s lesson.” Cassian’s voice seemed to break the spell that was cast over the group.
Azriel gave Cassian a sharp look then continued, “Nesta and Emerie pair up, and Gwyn you’re paired with me”.
Moving to their partners, Gwyn looked up at Azriel who was giving her a teasing grin. He whispered so only she could hear, “Good girl” making Gwyn’s blush deepen as he continued “the House did provide me with some interesting reading last night.”
The comment caused her to hold the breath she just took. With a hushed reply, she demanded, “what reading?”.
Azriel ignored her question and continued, “Now to begin, I want you three to take a look at each restraint and tell me what you think the pros and cons are of each in the field. Who wants to begin?”
Nesta and Emerie shared a mischievous look and Em quickly replied, “Well, Gwyn is the expert on restraints. I think she should go first.”
In mock surprise, Azriel answered with, “I didn’t know the priestess had extensive experience with restraints.”
Nesta chuckled in reply, “Oh I don’t know about experience but we could all agree that she’s the most well read about them.” Nesta and Emerie laughed, as Azriel smirked. Gwyn just looked between all of them with a glare as she was tired of being the center of this morning’s teasing.
When all of the sudden, Cassian interjected, “I feel like I’m missing something” which caused Gwyn to smile and the Valkyries to laugh even harder.
—--—--------
“Mistakes were made” Azriel decided that’s what would be written on his tombstone after today. After everyone except Cassian shared in a bit of laughter, Azriel looked over to Gwyn. He saw the moment she decided how she would handle the Valkyrie’s and his request.
With a rush of resolve, Gwyn walked over to each tool, gliding her hands over each. Stroking her fingers back and forth as she went down the line “Well, Shadowsinger” she emphasized, “it would all depend on the situation surrounding the need for these tools.”
Azriel felt her heated stare as Gwyn didn’t back down to the challenge he laid at her feet. With her words, he found himself needing to shift his stance to adjust himself.
“Say for example, am I just trying to subdue and restrain my target?” She said as she stroked a coil of thick rope. “Or am I to restrain and punish?” she asked drawing out “punish” with a raise of her eyebrow and stroke of her hand against a rough pair of cuffs, gag, and blindfold set.
Azriel licked his lips as neither refused to back down.
Clearing his throat, Cassian replied, “Let’s say for this exercise you've been placed in the field undercover and have to restrain and question a guest at a party.”
Pulled from his stare, “yes, let’s work off that example. What would you use, priestess?”
With a smile at her sisters and a quick turn, she replied “Easy!” as she grabbed three small items. Looking at the group she asked, “who should I try this on?”
Before Azriel could react, he saw three different fingers pointed at him with smirks on everyone’s faces.
Cassian set the scene saying that there was a ball where Gwyn needed to get her target out of the room and restrained.
Gwyn agreed and started walking towards Azriel. Then suddenly with a yelp of surprise and pain, she twisted, falling to the ground.
“Gwyn!” Azriel shouted trying to reach her before she fell. “Cass, grab a chair”
Cassian rushed to grab a chair as Azriel scooped Gwyn up. Pulling her head into his chest in what he assumed was embarrassment, he heard a muffle of noise. “Gwyn are you alright?” he asked as he began to set her down feeling her hand intertwining with his.
He began to pull back then in a rush of movement, he felt a ribbon around his wrist being used to pull him forcefully to the chair as Gwyn jumped up. Gwyn reversed their positions and now was straddling him, AGAIN. One hand was tied with ribbon and in an instant he found his other hand restrained with the other ribbon behind his back. This ribbon Gwyn pulled from her hair.
A roar of laughter filled the room and a praise of “excellent work, Gwynie” came from Cassian.
For the second time in less than 24 hours, Azriel found himself shocked and aroused under Gwyneth Berdara.
With a wiggle of her hips that was unnoticeable to their audience, she leaned forward and whispered, “and here I thought you were trying to be a good boy.”
He was ambushed by the scent of their arousal mixing but this time his shadows did help cover them. With a smile and laugh, Gwyn stood up from Azriel’s lap and turned to curtsy to their audience.
“And that, my friends, is how it’s done.” Gwyn beamed at their friends.
“How and the fuck did this happen” Az thought.
The shadows gleefully jumped in, “priestess is smart”, “that wasn’t very fair of her”, “oh priestess, is cunning… and beautiful”, “maybe master likes being restrained by her.” —-
“That was a rhetorical question, guys.” he thought with a sigh.
Narrowing his eyes on the priestess walking away, he shouted, “Very nice work, Berdara. Now come get your ribbons and let’s get on with training.”
Turning with a fake pout, she taunted, “You could say please”
Azriel gave her a warning look but relented through clenched teeth, “Please untie me, Gwyneth so we can get on with lessons.”
Gwyn’s eyes shined as she came back to him untying his wrists. When she knelt behind Azriel, she whispered low enough that only he could hear…. “Good boy”
With a laugh and smirk, he playfully threw the ribbons back at Gwyn who picked them up with a smile.
“Ohhh priestess, you will pay for that tonight.” He thought to himself and his shadows.
“Gwyn, I know we haven’t in awhile but do you want to pick up our midnight trainings?”
He could see some hestitation forming on her face so he quickly taunted, “unless you have any more reading you need to do tonight.”
With a narrowing of her eyes, she rose to his challenge and answered, “I’ll see you tonight, shadowsinger.”
