“Look Roy, I don’t even wanna hear it, I’m done.” you angrily huffed as you tried to shove him out of your way. You had totally bombed toady's mission, Zatarra was already on your back chastising you and now you had to deal with the Roy's whines and negotiations.
“Y/n I swear to you, it was just a one time thing,” He protested, “If anything, she pounced on me!”
“Don’t even try lying to me!” you yelled, “It’s one thing to lie to me, it’s another to put the blame on her when she didn’t even know anything!” Your head wass thumping so loud, you could feel the etars pricing your eyes and your voice starting to waver. Jade was the one who told you. Jade. The girl we've been taught as our enemy. The girl who told you what your boyfriend was really doing. You could let out a laugh if you weren't too busy on trying your best not to beat the shit out of Roy.
Okay fine! I let it happen. But it’s not anything serious! Y/n you know I’d never want us to break up, honest” he took a hold of your palm, gazing into your eyes with his green irises, “Me and Jade? It’s no more. C’mon babe.”
“Cut the bullshit.” you yanked your hand out of his, “I could give two damns about you and Jade right now, it’s the fact that you’re blatantly lying to me." You felt a tear slide down your right cheek as you looked at him with pure anger. "I learnt from the girl that tried to kill us, that your "solo patrols" were moonlight nights at hers."
“I'm trying to salvage our relationship!” he shot back, “It’s like you don't even care about me! About us.”
You could only let out a dry laugh, the sheer audacity of this boy baffled you. “ Relationship?” you questioned, “That ended five months ago, when you decided to cheat on me with Jade."
“Look I ended it! I ended it for you ! What more do you want?!” He ran his hand through his ginger locks, “I know I was wrong on my part, but can we just move on and grow together from this?”
You simply rolled your eyes, “Shouldn’t have been cheating in the first place, you had five months to end it. Five!" "I don’t know what kind of girls you’ve dated in the past but I’m no pushover like you’re asking me to be.”
The tension in the room was so thick you could barely breathe. You were certain the rest of the team knew just happened. It would be a surprise if they didn't hear Roy shouting his pathetic pleas, that boy knew how to yell.
“I’ll say it again. We’re. Done.” You said, shoving past him and slamming the door behind him as hard as you could. You should’ve listened to the team’s warning about him. God you were so stupid. Thinking you could change him for the better, what a lie. You needed out.
Roy stood there in the empty room stunned, defeated. How did he mess up so badly? Maybe it all started when Jade looked his way, the enemy. Maybe it all started when his mind started drifting to her when he was kissing you. Maybe it started when he was actively lying to you for months, sneaking off to see her. Or maybe it started because he couldn’t be loyal. He knew he fucked it up. Badly. And now he’d have to deal with it, whether he liked it or not.
