The Merge, an inexplicable event that occurred years ago. When the 17 realms surrounding Ninjago had all collided together, many of those realms were fierce and brutal. However, there were others that had true beauty and creation within them. The realm of Chima was a true wonder, and those wonders were quickly ruined as Arin had slipped into a pond of thick mud which coated his face and horns. He, Sora and Riyu ventured in front of the trio of ninja behind them. Each with Gi’s that matched an elemental power they were born with.
“Sora, Arin. Pick up the pace, we have to reach this village before nightfall.” Lloyd scolded as he walked past the three. His tail swayed behind him as he jumped over the mud, the map in his hands curling as they reached a clearing through the jungle. Entering a purple Hyacinth field, Kai ran his hands through the soft flower buds as Riyu flew above them. “Right, so we just have to pass through the stone peaks and we’ll reach the village right?” Kai questioned, looking at the map as Arin and Sora ran past them. “Yup, just a bit further.” Lloyd replied, wrapping the map up and placing it into the bag strapped around his torso.
The group continued with small conversations and occasionally checking the rugged map gifted to them from the Sky Monks. Nya pulled out a necklace hidden within her Gi, unclipping the back of it carefully as she stared at the pendant connected to it. It was a small gold embroidered yang symbol, her finger outlined the sides of it before Arin quickly grabbed onto her armored sleeve. Tugging at it as he jumped up and down. “Nya, come quick you have to see this!” He smiled, pointing to Sora, who was talking to a familiar face. She quickly put the necklace back on and followed Arin through the sea of identical flowers. Crushing a singular daffodil underneath her shoe as she ran behind the ecstatic dragon boy infront of him, her heart pounding as they reached Sora. However, she wasn't as excited as Arin. To be exact, a stern face of concern was washed across her face.
“Jay!” Nya yelled out, throwing herself onto her beloved. But she was quickly met with the floor, shaken off of him. Sora pulled Arin away as she whispered something to him. Whilst Jay stared at Nya, a small look of concern plastered on him. “I’m sorry, do I know you? I-” He was cut off when the woman in front of him rose up and answered for him. “Jay, come on! It’s.. it’s me, I know it’s been a while but.. You still remember me, I'm your Yang. Right?” Her voice shook as she stepped closer to him, but he quickly stepped back. “What's a.. Yang? I’m sorry I think you’ve got the wrong person.” Jay murmured, his palm just barely hovering the nunchucks strapped to his waist.
Nya’s smile faded as she looked at him teary eyed, reaching her hand out for him. Again, he took another step away from her. His stance becoming more defensive with every motion she made, she looked back at Kai and Lloyd. Who were making their way over to the two. Jay’s palms began to spark up as they came closer. Looking at Nya as tears curled and dripped from her eyes. “Listen I’m sorry but I’m not the person you’re looking for, I hope you find him but if you don’t lay off i’m gonna have to shock you.” He warned, his slit eyebrow furrowing with the other as his nose scrunched. That was one of the things she loved about him. How every little thing, every detail on his face goes into how he feels. He was everything she wanted, everything she needed. But, now it’s as if she didn’t even appear in his life. She wiped her tears, trying one last thing. She pulled out the medallion once more, holding it out to him. Yet, he didn't even bat an eye. “Your necklace is the other piece of this Jay.” She croaked, her throat tightening from the overwhelming surge of confusion and sadness flowing through her. But she still pushed through it, advancing closer to him as she quickened her pace towards him. “Look, I can show you just-”
She suddenly felt a sharp wave of heat stab through her chest, bursting through and stinging her throughout her body. Bringing her to the floor again, Jay stood in front of her. His palm cocked back as lightning itself jumped around his arm. “Stay back.” He warned again, his voice stern. Kai quickly ran to Nya’s side, ignoring Sora trying to hold him back. Sliding on his knees to help bring her to himself more comfortably. “What the hell is wrong with you Jay, what's up with you?” Kai sneered, helping Nya up, But she still held onto the medallion. Holding it out once more, the heat from the shock made it unbearable to stand, but she still pushed her brother away. Coming closer to her once fiancé. “You told me.. When the Oni were about to break down the doors of the Monastery..” She explained, her body feeling as if it was going to implode. “You told me that every moment without me felt empty.. That you wished we wouldn’t ever be separated again and.. And..” Nya tried to collect herself, but seeing that no matter what she did, The look of disgust smeared across Jay’s face would only grow and just simply broke her down more. “Please, you have to remember. Something, anything.. Don’t you remember Lloyd? Or Nadakhan.. Or..” She paused as Jay began to walk up to her. His expression changed as she fumbled her words, he simply helped her stand correctly and gave Kai a nod before sighing.
“I hope you find who you’re looking for.”
