(Name's POV)
I sit next to Glenn holding my head. This cannot be happening. I left a soulmate behind. I had two soulmates at least! I remember when I met Merle. The burning and a mark appeared on my body. On my mother's deathbed, she told me I had many soulmates but the marks were removed and my pills kept me from ever meeting my soulmates. I stayed on the pills cause I was happily married to my wife and pregnant with my son. I did not need my soulmates. Then the end of the world happen and I woke up with Shane's name on me. Then after him Merle.
Being in the hospital I must not have gotten the medicine. As of now, major hospitals would supply soul connection suppressants. That was with private doctors. The suppressant worked to bury the connection from being made with your soulmate. But it did not stop them from feeling love for you. Just they would be unaware that you were their soulmate. The Mark Removal was a big no, no as well. My parents got rid of mine. I shake my head. This is a lot.
We made it back to camp and the car alarm is still going off. I get out of the car. There I saw him... Shane... The connection was already there. Must have been made when I was in a coma. Shane stares at me and walks over. I feel my heart clench. Shane takes me into a heated kiss. He must feel the connection too. I kiss back, the connection making me want to kiss him. I then yank myself away. He must know where my wife is.
"Where is Lori!?" I ask and his eyes darken.
Male soulmates had the effect of being jealous of their soulmate with other people. Another reason males took suppressants. Supresants helped dampen the connection after it is made. To make the soulmate's feelings not as strong.
"Mama!?" I hear Carl and my focus went to him.
I run and pick him up. Kissing the top of his head. He clings to me. Lori comes up and keeps her distance. Shane must have told her that he was my soulmate. I set Carl done and Lori shakes her head walking away. I can understand the hurt. But god did it hurt me to see her walk away.
(Shane's POV)
I watch (Name), I knew she was alive. The Mark of her name did not turn red. I was her soulmate. I did not know it for years. We had been best friends and I did not know she was my soulmate! But I now do, I know that she is mine. That she was always meant to be mine. I am not leaving her again. We settle down and get food. (Name) explained what happen. Even telling us what her parents did.
I wanted to kill them.
"So you have multiple soulmates," I say.
"What about Merle?" Glenn says. "We have to go tell Daryl when he gets back."
"That is if he is alive," Andrea says.
"He is alive." (Name) says.
"How do you know?" Andrea asks.
"Because he is one of my soulmates." (Name) says and I curse.
"Your fucking kidding me?" I say. "How is Merle your soulmate!?"
"Shane, don't do this." (Name) tells me. "I do not want to get into it."
I was jealous and honestly, we should leave Marle to die. He is not good enough for my (Name).
She is MINE.
