Work Text:

Jiwoong knows his mate is cheating on him.

Never underestimate an omega’s intuition , the old saying goes. But never underestimate an omega’s common fucking sense, either.

Jiwoong leans against the wall just outside of the dining room and watches his alpha come into the house. Watches him ease the front door shut behind him. Watches him peel out of his patent leather shoes, don his slippers and cross the foyer. He’s older than Jiwoong by about ten years, but he’s also ten years into a lucrative corporate law career that gets them a house like this in a neighborhood like this . His alpha is still in his suit from work, although Jiwoong immediately notices that’s not the tie he left the house wearing that morning.

“You’re home,” Jiwoong states with false cheer.

His alpha jumps and whirls towards where he’s standing and sputters out, “Y-y-you’re still awake? Why… Why are you standing around in the dark?”

“Why can’t I? It’s our home.” He knows where everything in this house is.

“Honey, I told you not to wait up.”

Jiwoong smiles a little. “It’s not that late.” It’s nearly two in the morning.

Although it is dark in the house, it is a full moon night and the silver-blue glow of it pours through the windows and casts sharp shadows across the furniture and his alpha’s lean face.

“You know I had that out of town work meeting,” his alpha blurts.

Jiwoong smiles a little wider. Enough to show teeth. That meeting had been at the start of the week. His alpha was somewhere else tonight. “I know. It’s just that I got worried when you didn’t answer my calls.”

His alpha turns away, as if to flee the conversation. “Sorry for snapping. I’m still a bit on edge from the contract signing. Those guys were hard to crack.”

“I know, I know,” Jiwoong sings out, making himself sound concerned. He moves away from the wall and meets his alpha at the bottom of the stairwell, getting ahead of him enough to make his mate pause with a foot on the bottom stair. Jiwoong lays a hand on his alpha’s shoulder. “You work so hard for us. It can’t be easy on you.” Jiwoong feels his alpha’s muscles unspool. He feels his alpha’s shaky exhale. Like he’s sure he’s gotten away with this.

“Thank you for being understanding, honey,” states his alpha.

Jiwoong tries not to laugh when he asks, “Have you eaten?”

“Yes. On the way back,” his alpha says. A pause. When he speaks again, it’s without that harsh edge in his tone. “You didn’t cook, did you? I told you–”

“No, I didn’t,” Jiwoong tells him. “I ordered take out.” He’s long since given up cooking for a man who forgets what time supper begins. He moves his hand up to his alpha’s neck, to his jaw, and then settles his fingers against his mate’s cheek. “Need to unwind after such a hard day?” He makes sure his meaning is conveyed by stepping close and nuzzling his nose behind his husband’s ear. Sniffing the skin that should only be marked by his scent. “You can take everything out on me.”

His alpha audibly gulps. He’s tempted but, in the long run, he resists. “Sorry, honey,” he says, pulling back, shoving Jiwoong’s wandering hand away from his belt buckle. “I need a shower.”

“Fine,” Jiwoong mutters, sounding far more hurt than he feels. He’s long since stopped wanting sex with a man who forgets whose bed he belongs in. “Get some sleep.” He doesn’t chase when his alpha steps around him and heads up the stairs. Jiwoong watches him go. He watches his mate’s retreating back with narrowed eyes. Watches until his alpha turns the corner and disappears from sight. “That’s right,” he whispers. “Keep thinking I’m a fool.” He can still catch whiffs of that other omega he smelled on his alpha’s skin. Faded with time. Diluted with sweat. Masked with cologne and the dry stench of menthol cigarettes. But it’s so distinctly foreign that it nearly makes Jiwoong growl.

He doesn’t know who the scent belongs to. He doesn’t want to know. But the fact that the scent is even there , above the scarring of Jiwoong’s mating bite, is the last bit of evidence the omega needs. Three long months spent suspecting, spent second guessing, and this is the conclusion he’s drawn.

Upstairs, he hears the shower cut on and Jiwoong blinks himself out of his stupor.

There’s no use in starting an argument. No use in asking questions. No use in begging . He may be an omega but he still has his fucking pride as a man. The only confrontation alphas can comprehend is an eye for an eye. Tit for tat. Words won’t help here. Only actions will.

Thank you for being understanding , his mate had told him. Pssh. Jiwoong understands that his mate is having an affair.

This has been going on for enough time that the hurt and anger and tiredness has dulled and now only numbness remains.

He goes upstairs. Each step closer to their bedroom covers more and more of his heart in ice. Until everything is frozen over and it feels like nothing salvageable is left. He stares at himself in the mirror. At his handsome enough face. At his trim body. Even when he’s sleepless and dressed for bed, he knows he’s attractive. What had Hanbin from across the street told him? If this can’t keep a man, nothing will? Jiwoong laughs. A dry, humorless sound. Because how true is it that an alpha can’t be kept?

As he folds himself beneath their sheets on the left side of the bed, he realizes that he’s not better than any other omega. That he’s not different. That he’s not special . That the same thing that happened to Hanbin across the street and Taerae from up the hill has now happened to him. His alpha has gone and knotted someone else.

Except Jiwoong is different because he’s not going to end up divorced or in prison, but a third thing that no one would suspect from him.

Jiwoong is still awake when his alpha finishes showering and dressing for bed. He is still awake when his alpha clicks off the lights and slips beneath the covers next to him. Although his alpha falls asleep within minutes, guiltless, Jiwoong lays there for another hour–for another two hours–because all he can smell is that other omega’s scent tainting their linens.

Jiwoong makes up his mind.

Or, rather, he recognizes that he’s only had one option from the start. No one else is better suited.

So he goes outside at around 7:30 the next morning. It’s the height of summer. The sun is already above the trees and bearing down on the manicured lawn. He’s fully prepared for this moment: he has done up his hair and has on his most flattering cologne, his designer sunglasses, a pair of hip-hugging swim trunks and nothing else. He wades about in the shallow end of the pool, being sure to only get wet up to his stomach. Through the glass sliding doors, he can spot his husband finishing up a phone call in the kitchen and preparing to leave the house for work. Jiwoong flaunts about, stretching his arms above his head to flex his muscles, wet skin catching the sunlight.

Five minutes go by. Then ten. Fifteen.

Years ago, at the start of their marriage, Jiwoong only had to do this much to make his alpha come out here and, well, end up late for work. But now, he’s certain his alpha doesn’t even see him. Or, worse, sees him and feels nothing. That may be more than alright, though, since Jiwoong looks at him and feels nothing now. Almost as if the last seven years haven’t even happened. Almost as if his alpha is a stranger. And when Jiwoong hears the man’s imported sports car start up and rumble out the driveway and down the street, Jiwoong sighs.

But not in defeat. In relief.

His alpha’s finally out of the fucking way.

Because he hasn’t been trying to attract his husband’s attention all this time.

Jiwoong shuffles up to the edge of the pool and drags himself out of the water. Feels it drip down his spine and off of his arms. Feels it make his trunks cling to him like a second skin. And like a cat sunning itself, he stretches out across one of the pool chairs and counts off the seconds.

Forty nine seconds later, exactly, Jiwoong’s neighbor calls out, “Good morning!” But the sound is from quite close.

Now this is new. Jiwoong turns his head to see Matthew, the neighbor, standing halfway up the path. Like, in his yard . The young alpha is usually too shy to do anything but yell from the other side of the fence so to see him here, up this close, nearly shocks Jiwoong enough to gasp. “Good morning,” he calls back with a wave.

“I can smell you from the street,” Matthew says, strained, like it pains him.

Jiwoong lifts an eyebrow. “That’s strange. I just got out of the pool.”

Matthew blinks rapidly, like he’s said something aloud he hadn’t meant to. Hurriedly, he waves a hand in the general direction of the front lawn of Jiwoong’s house. “I was… jogging,” he claims, “and saw that the gate was open. I wanted to let you know, since you can’t really see it from here.”

“Thanks.” Jiwoong tilts his head back and looks up at the hazy sky. He says, “I think my husband left it open on his way out.”

That word–husband–doesn’t chase Matthew away this time like it usually does. Instead, he continues to come up the path, emboldened, and circles the pool towards Jiwoong, until he’s within arm’s reach of the pool chair. Matthew’s wearing an athletic shirt, gym shorts, and a pair of running shoes that look brand new. He’s going out of his way to breathe hard and heavy, but there’s no sourness of exertion in his scent. Matthew doesn’t jog this neighborhood. If he’d been out in this humidity, his clothes would be soaked in sweat.

Jiwoong’s smart enough to realize that it takes the young alpha forty nine seconds exactly to walk out his front door, cut down the sidewalk and get to the end of Jiwoong’s driveway. He’s smart enough to know that when he’s out here by the pool, Matthew can watch him from his upstairs window.

Matthew puts on a show of stooping over to catch his breath. He’s truly dedicated to the act! “I heard the good news.”

Jiwoong lifts his knee. Props his hands behind his head. He looks away from the cloudless sky to glance at his guest. “What news?”

“That Taerae’s getting out in six months.”

“Six weeks ,” Jiwoong corrects.

Matthew’s a handsome man. Younger than Jiwoong, and much shorter, but he’s no stranger to the gym. And when he has a serious expression on his face rather than that somewhat goofy, boyish smile, there’s something about him that reminds Jiwoong of his alpha before they were engaged. An impenetrable self-confidence.

“Do you even know Taerae?” Jiwoong questions. Taerae’s been locked up for years. Matthew has only been in the house next door since the winter.

Matthew says, “I’ve heard of him. Should I be scared about him getting out? He’s not going to come at me with a knife, is he?”

“You’re not his cheating bastard of a mate.” Jiwoong purposefully waits, until Matthew’s laughter peters out and the silence almost turns awkward. Then he adds, “And he used a hammer for the first bit of it but the fall down the stairs did the rest.”

A few more seconds pass. Matthew doesn’t find that bit too funny so neither of them make a sound. The wind picks up, rustling through the trees. A car passes the house.

Then, like nothing happened, Jiwoong sits up a little and looks at Matthew over the top of his sunglasses, smiling innocently. “You came all the way here. Did you need something?”

The young alpha visibly scrambles for an answer. “Well… I– I was wondering if– Can you…” A flimsy excuse finally comes to him. “I think I left my novel here. After the last book club meeting.”

That was thirteen days ago. But Jiwoong has long since stopped caring about the sense (or lack thereof) in an alpha’s words and reasoning. He can use this, though. Getting Matthew inside the house is the first step of his plan. “Let me see if I can find it,” he replies. “Come in. I’ll pour you some water.” Jiwoong swings his legs over the edge of the pool chair and starts towards the patio doors.

His swim trunks are still damp enough that they cling to his ass and thighs and he doesn’t even need to check the reflection in the glass to know that Matthew’s only a step and a half behind him, eyes raking him up and down like he’s but a cut of beef at the butcher’s.

Jiwoong turns to him suddenly and Matthew rushes to tilt his head back to meet his eyes. Jiwoong pushes his sunglasses up into his hair. “The next meeting is tomorrow, you know. You’re cutting it close.”

“Oh, I can read the assigned chapters in a day. Won’t be the first time.” Matthew’s overwhelming confidence is back. It’s all in the furrow of his eyebrows, the upward tilt of the corner of his mouth. He has no ring on his finger but the diamonds are all in his ears. Whatever money he’s earning with his remote tech job must be treating him nice.

Jiwoong says, “I can’t wait for you to read chapter nineteen. That delicious cliffhanger will definitely be the meeting’s main discussion point.”

Matthew nods eagerly. “I look forward to it.”

“Be ready for Hanbin to talk for an hour.” Jiwoong turns back to the patio doors, slides them open and gestures for Matthew to head inside. There is plenty of space for him to move but Matthew goes out of his way to step close enough so that his elbow bumps Jiwoong’s elbow.

Technically, the book club is for the omegas and betas in the community. Something on Fridays for the mates left home alone all day while their alphas work. The ones who don’t have children too young for school to tend to. Matthew is the only alpha among the ten of them, his presence merely tolerated, not accepted.

In the kitchen, Matthew takes a seat on a stool at the island, gingerly sipping at a tall glass of ice water with a slice of lemon while Jiwoong rummages through drawers and storage bins in the living room, looking for a book he knows isn’t downstairs.

“Sorry to bother you so early in the morning, Jiwoo,” Matthew says, cheeks flushing. “This is what I get for waiting until the last minute.”

Jiwoong gives him a polite, toothy smile. The alpha doesn’t even know his fucking name! But is he any better only using the man as a tool? As a weapon to declare war? He prompts, “If you could help me look…”

At that, Matthew leaps from the stool and the two of them waste ten minutes searching Jiwoong’s packed bookshelves.

“There’s a chance I took it upstairs,” Jiwoong suggests.

“I hate to be a bother,” says Matthew, not sounding the least bit apologetic.

“It’s no problem at all. I can practically picture where I left it!” And Jiwoong isn’t surprised at all when Matthew follows him up the stairs without being invited to. Up and up, around the corner, down the hall. Into the bedroom. Directly into the part of the house where his alpha’s scent is thickest.

Instinctively, Matthew lets loose a fog of his own pheromones. Try as he might, his subtle, cinnamon-sweet, mulled wine scent fails to overpower the strong, earthy musk of Jiwoong’s alpha.

Jiwoong pretends not to notice. “That’s my personal copy on the desk,” he says, gesturing to the hardcover next to the laptop, “so I think I put yours… here.” He approaches the bookshelf next to his dresser and runs his finger over the spines. Then he lifts his arm to do the same for the books on the higher shelf. He can feel more than hear Matthew come up right behind him and steal a sniff off of his armpit. Of course, Jiwoong pretends not to pick up on it. “You had the paperback, right?” Jiwoong knows exactly where the book is but it’s so fun to play the game. It’s so fun to drag things out and lure this silly alpha deeper into his web. “Hmm, maybe it’s on the other shelf? It has to be here somewhere.” He turns and Matthew is standing so close up on him that they collide.

“Sorry,” Matthew huffs, putting a steadying hand on Jiwoong’s elbow. Even with the sunlight coming in through the windows, the alpha’s pupils are blown wide and his scent sweetens with barely-restrained arousal.

“No problem at all.” Jiwoong smiles at him, feigning ignorance. He fights his own body’s natural reaction to the seduction. His instinctive urge to drop to his knees. He peels away from Matthew’s body heat and almost shudders as the air-con cuts on and blasts him with cool air, the hair on his bare arms and legs rising at the chill. “I should say sorry for taking so long. Everything’s a mess. Far too many books to keep up with.”

“Your scent is everywhere,” Matthew damn near moans.

Jiwoong lets out one sharp laugh. “I would hope so. It’s my room.”

He once again smells Matthew attempt to place his own mark on the room. A more successful effort that floods Jiwoong’s nose and makes something hot and primal sink to the bottom of his gut. He leads Matthew across the room, closer and closer to the king size bed he shares with his trifling mate. Closer to the one place in the house where their scents even come close to blending.

“It must be here,” Jiwoong huffs, hands on his hips, still playing it up.

There’s a smaller bookshelf tucked into the corner, next to a hamper of dirty laundry and a cardboard box full of even more books. Jiwoong bends at the waist to pluck the book club novel from the bottom shelf and before he can even stand completely upright, Matthew’s hand is on the curve of his ass, hot and heavy. Fingernails digging in.

Jiwoong’s jolt of surprise is genuine. He inhales a breath through his teeth and tastes sweet, red wine on his tongue. “Matthew,” he says, half plea, half warning. He turns his head to look into the alpha’s face. “I found your book.”

Matthew’s other hand touches down on Jiwoong’s hip, grips tightly, steers him four steps to the left. Jiwoong loses his balance and lands on his back across the plush softness of the comforter. The book leaves his hands. Hits the floor. His sunglasses fly off of his head and that distant clatter he hears is probably them skidding across the floor on the far side of the bed. Matthew practically crawls on top of him, pinning him down, knees caging in Jiwoong’s thighs, hands planted on either side of Jiwoong’s head. “When was the last time that shithead fucked you?”

It’s a more direct question than Jiwoong expects so he has no answer prepared. He has to lay there beneath this alpha he’s not mated to and think .

Matthew curls his fingers into the comforter when he realizes Jiwoong can’t answer. A tiny little growl builds in his throat and he dips his head to snuffle at Jiwoong’s neck. “You don’t even smell like him,” he spits out, breath wet on the omega’s collarbone. “You don’t even smell like you’re his.”

“Ma– Matthew,” Jiwoong wheezes. He at least has to pretend to resist. “You shouldn’t– We can’t–” This is part of his plan, yes, but he hadn’t expected the alpha to damn near jump him immediately when he thought this would take days .

Matthew watches his every twitching movement, his every gulp of air, his every rapid blink, with razor focus. “So when was it?” The alpha’s voice drops to something low and full of crackling desire. “When did you last take his fucking knot?” His dick is rock hard beneath the soft gray material of his shorts and it’s leaking already, darkly staining the crotch.

Jiwoong has to wrench his hungry eyes away from the sight. The omega says, “I think it’s been a year since he last knotted me.” And it’s a harder truth to admit than Jiwoong expects. The words hurt to say when he thought he’d grown numb to everything.

“A goddamn shame. No. It’s a fucking crime .” Matthew shifts his weight. He presses his hand to Jiwoong’s heaving chest and slowly drags it down the omega’s sweaty torso, gently clawing at the skin as he goes. “An entire year? Unacceptable.” He doesn’t hesitate to grab hold of the waistband of Jiwoong’s swim trunks and tug them down, freeing the omega’s stiffening dick. He pinches the foreskin between two fingers and pulls and pulls until it damn near hurts. Until Jiwoong hisses and writhes beneath him. “That’s three or four heats without sitting on a knot, isn’t it?”

Jiwoong swallows. “I’m off the suppressants so it’s–” Another hiss as Matthew yanks on his foreskin. “–closer to nine or ten.”

“Poor thing,” coos Matthew. “It must be so hard to go through it alone.”

“It is,” Jiwoong says. Because his fingers are never enough and, as far as technology has come in recent times, toys help but never satisfy

“Poor thing,” Matthew repeats. And perhaps this time he actually sounds sympathetic. He tips down, presses his face into the crook of Jiwoong’s neck and loudly inhales. “Your alpha doesn’t even mark you as he should. Anyone can claim you now.” He gives Jiwoong’s length a downward stroke. He’s slow with it, pulling back the foreskin and revealing the mushroom head, the precum bubbling messily at the slit. “If he doesn’t fuck you, does he at least jerk you off?”

Jiwoong chokes on air as Matthew moves his fist up and down. Fast. Fingers tight. Jiwoong curls his spine off of the bed at that first spark of pleasure and he bucks his hips up, fucks his dick into the circle of Matthew’s fingers. This isn’t part of the plan. He’s genuinely showing his desperate, starving nature when he wanted to play this cool, but Matthew is generous and keeps stroking Jiwoong’s length. Keeps flicking at his nipple as if to egg him on.

“Is that a no?” Matthew snorts in contempt when moments pass and Jiwoong can only whine. “Does he blow you at all? Finger you?”

Again, Jiwoong can’t answer. Can’t fucking remember the last fucking time. Longer than a year? He tries to think back, tries to take the questions seriously, but the edges of his thoughts are fogging over as he gives in to the pump and twist of Matthew’s warm hand.

“No? He doesn’t even do that for you?” Matthew asks, incredulous. “He eats you out. Certainly. Right? Right ?” He stops the movement of his fist. Makes Jiwoong do all of the work to hump up into it. He’s even kind enough to wipe the sweat from Jiwoong’s forehead. “Does he fuck your mouth, at least? Does he give you that much?”

It’s almost too many questions at once when Jiwoong is this keyed up. This high on lust. He’s only somewhat aware of Matthew’s words, his brain mainly focusing on the alpha’s sword edge tone. On the rumbling anger that sits beneath everything. Jiwoong whimpers. He spreads his legs as far as he can manage with his swim trunks trapped around his knees. He turns his head, bares his neck, submissive.

But Matthew lets go of Jiwoong’s dick entirely. Pulls away. Leaves him laying there, panting and bitching, hips bucking up and finding only air. Matthew tsks in disapproval when Jiwoong still can’t answer him. “What a useless alpha, neglecting his omega. He doesn’t fucking deserve you.” He sinks his fingers into the heat between Jiwoong’s spread legs and swipes across Jiwoong’s rim. “If you were mine, you wouldn’t even go a week without taking my dick. How does that sound?”

“I– I need– Don’t–” Jiwoong is short of breath. The more he inhales Matthew’s scent, the more his nerves light up with pleasant sensation. The more his own sharp, green, herb-like scent pierces the air and soaks the sheets. Their scents swirl together and the punchy mix of it tastes like autumn on Jiwoong’s tongue. Makes Jiwoong’s head spin. He blinks open eyes he hadn’t noticed he’d shut to see Matthew hovering right above him, watching everything. Something in the omega’s stomach twists and then tightens and he feels himself leak slick across Matthew’s prodding fingers.

“There you go,” Matthew sighs. “Theeeere you go. When was the last time he fucking made you gush?” He pulls his fingers from between Jiwoong’s legs, folds his wet hand over his nose and inhales. His eyes roll to the back of his head. “God, you smell so– Fuck!” He shoves his fingers between his plump, pink lips and slurps like it’s candy coated.

Just the sight of it makes Jiwoong sigh. Makes his blood sing. Make his dick throb.

Matthew slowly pulls his fingers out of his mouth. “I missed your heat by a few days, I think,” he groans out, licking what’s sticky off of his palm, “but isn’t that when an omega needs a knot the most? Right after it’s over?”

A debunked myth yet Jiwoong nods excitedly, intoxicated by Matthew’s scent. Desperate to be touched and fucked when it’s been so long . Desperate to get revenge on his mate. To bring another alpha into their bed. To make that awful man feel even a fraction of Jiwoong’s heartache.

“Since he won’t use you, I will.” Matthew’s index finger circles Jiwoong’s wet, clenching rim a time or two before pushing in.

They both moan. Loud. Uninhibited. And the slide is so slippery that the alpha is knuckle deep in less than a breath.

Neither of them move for a moment.

Jiwoong uncurls his toes. Relaxes his spine. Drops his head to the comforter.

Matthew slowly pulls his finger out and then shoves it back in. Jiwoong’s so soaked that there’s no resistance. It’s like silk, it goes so easy. When Matthew pushes in a second finger, the omega’s hole sucks him in as if to keep him.

“Poor thing,” Matthew speaks up over Jiwoong’s whining. “He has all of this but doesn’t fuck you?” With his dry hand, he squeezes the bulge beneath his shorts. Strokes the length with his thumb to demonstrate his size. “Should I go slow? Because it’s been so long for you?”

The omega shakes his head, confident, although he’s already holding on to Matthew’s shoulders for dear life. “Need it to hurt.” Anything to stop feeling numb.

Something bright and wild flashes through Matthew’s honey brown eyes and he leans over Jiwoong, starts to fuck his fingers in and out, in and out. Working up to a wicked rhythm. “You’re so soft. So open,” the alpha commends. “You need dick that bad, huh? Need it so much that I don’t even have to work for it.” To prove his point, he pulls his fingers out, drags them around Jiwoong’s rim, and then effortlessly slips in three. The glide is comfortable and wet and warm, like how clouds must feel, and Matthew keeps his pace fast and uncaring, even as he twists his wrist and pushes his fingertips into Jiwoong’s walls. Searching. Searching. Until, at last, he finds the place that makes Jiwoong swear. He growls in satisfaction when the omega leaks a wave of fresh slick across his knuckles. “Fuck, Jiwoo. You could drown a man like this.”

That wrong name again. Close but not close enough. Jiwoong feels his chest tighten. This isn’t the man he loves above him. But it’s because he doesn’t love that man that he’s doing this. “Faster,” he begs.

Instead, Matthew slides his fingers free entirely. Matthew sits up. Pulls his shirt off over his head.

Jiwoong lifts a hand and touches down on Matthew’s pec. There’s softness to the skin but when he presses, there’s the sturdy muscle beneath and, when he squeezes, he can feel the thrum of Matthew’s heart. He drags his hand down, over the ridges of Matthew’s abs, over the waistband of his gym shorts. He flattens his hand across the curve of Matthew’s erection and the alpha groans above him. And because he likes that sound, Jiwoong pushes harder, harder, until the alpha groans even louder. Until his precum soaks through the front of his shorts and makes Jiwoong’s fingertips sticky.

Doing what Matthew did, Jiwoong raises his hand, pushes his fingers into his mouth.

The taste is strong. Bitter. But something about it makes Jiwoong feel like he’s on fire. Slick drips out of him, thick and sweet, and Matthew slides his shirt beneath the omega’s hips to catch most of the mess.

“You sure you aren’t still in heat?” Matthew asks, but he sounds excited. Pleased. “You’re wet like an ocean for me.”

The alpha doesn’t bother pulling his shorts off completely. He doesn’t even slide Jiwoong’s swim trunks any further down. With one hand under Jiwoong’s knee to hold his leg up towards his chest, Matthew grips his dick by the head and guides it to the omega’s rim and Jiwoong’s body, ablaze with instinct and desire, sucks him in like it’s nothing .

“Fuck. Fuck!” the alpha pants, his voice breaking across the syllables.

And it’s good for Jiwoong too. The pleasure jolts up his spine to the back of his skull and he almost shouts his alpha’s name.

Matthew swears, overwhelmed even though he’s sunk in just the tip. “Your alpha hasn’t fucked you in a year ?” He laughs like it’s the craziest thing he’s ever heard. “Fuck. If you were mine, you wouldn’t go a day without my dick.”

But Jiwoong’s isn’t his. Doesn’t want to be. “Just fuck me,” he grunts.

Matthew shifts forward, spreads his knees and fucks the rest of the way in with one smooth stroke.

Jiwoong claws at the comforter. He gasps as all of that dick slides in and presses the air out of his lungs. When the alpha is balls deep in him, Jiwoong croaks, “Is it good?”

“Better than anything I’ve ever had,” is Matthew’s throaty response.

As they hold still, Jiwoong clenches around him. Tight. Tight. Until Matthew swears. Then he relaxes and they both feel it when Jiwoong produces more slick.

“Goddamn.” Matthew pulls out. Slow. Slow. “I’m completely covered in you.” He pushes in. Slow. Slow. Slow.

Jiwoong’s fucked himself with larger dildos but there’s nothing like the real fucking thing. There’s nothing better than the heat and weight of a body panting and sweating above him. Nothing like the throb of a racing pulse through the shaft of a dick as his body clenches around it. Milks it.

Matthew exclaims, “If I move, I’ll fucking bust.”

But Jiwoong hasn’t had it in so long that just laying here isn’t helping him. It isn’t doing anything , so he starts to revolve his hips, fucking back on Matthew’s dick, trying to get it deeper.

For several minutes, Matthew only kneels there and watches him flail and tire himself out.

Jiwoong goes still, forehead glistening with sweat, belly on fire with need.

Matthew’s hands find his waist and lift him, sinks him back down onto his dick. He fucks in and out carefully enough to be considered tender.

It’s not enough. Jiwoong wraps a fist around his neglected dick and snarls, “Harder.”

The alpha shifts even closer to him, bringing his hips flush with Jiwoong’s ass. He fucks him harder, harder, until the smack of skin against skin sounds like violent drumbeats in the room. Until Jiwoong can feel the sting of it on his ass. The burn of it on the inside.

Now it’s better. Now it’s enough . Jiwoong throws his head back and loses himself in it.

Matthew’s dick brushes his prostate and the sensation becomes immense. He leaks slick across the dick inside of him. Feels it dribble down his thighs and go cool and tacky across his heated skin.

The young alpha who is not his mate laughs in delight above him. “You run like a faucet,” he comments. “You pull me in . You’re so fucking easy but he doesn’t fuck you? There’s got to be something wrong with him!”

Jiwoong swallows a mouth full of spit. He whimpers, “Fuck me.” He doesn’t care about Matthew’s shit talk. He hates his alpha too. Resents him. Can’t stand him. Despises every little moment he tries but is rejected or ignored. He says, “Give it to me.”

So Matthew gives it to him. Pounding into him with a recklessness his alpha never tried with him. It hurts. It hurts , but it’s good. It’s good. It’s good

It makes his skin tingle. Makes his eyes water. Makes his balls tighten. Makes his dick drench his fist in precum.

“If I had known he wasn’t even touching you,” Matthew declares, “I would have fucked you ages ago.” The next time he slams his hips forward, Jiwoong’s rim stretches wide around the alpha’s slowly inflating knot.

Jiwoong kicks his legs, frees his knee from Matthew’s grip. He rolls over onto his side. And then over onto his stomach. Matthew helps him along, nails scratching at Jiwoong’s ass cheeks, hips only somewhat slowing down as the two of them readjust, get comfortable.

The new angle sparks fire across a different set of nerves and Jiwoong cries out as Matthew’s dick slams into his prostate. He tries to chase the pleasure. Rolls his hips down into the comforter to give his dick some friction.

Seconds pass, and Matthew works himself up into something faster and faster. Uncontrolled. Rabid.

Jiwoong claws at the comforter, curls his legs beneath him. Crawls forward.

But he can’t get too far away. Matthew digs his nails into Jiwoong’s hip bones to hold him still beneath the pounding but, eventually, bit by bit, Jiwoong manages to get them over to his husband’s side of the bed.

“Gonna fucking knot you,” Matthew tells him like it’s a threat.

Jiwoong turns his head and looks up at the man. Watches the way he comes completely undone, hair in his eyes. Lip bitten so hard it just may bleed. “Do it,” the omega demands. “Haven’t had one in so long…and– And yours feels so big.”

It is. Each thrust becomes harder and harder for him to take. Matthew fucks his inflating knot in and then drags it out, grunting each time he has to fight against the grip of Jiwoong’s hole trying to keep him locked inside. It’s like being split right down the middle.

Jiwoong pushes himself up onto his knees, lifts his ass up and presses his face down into his husband’s pillow. The suddeness of the movement makes Matthew’s dick slide out of him completely and those few perilous moments of being entirely empty makes Jiwoong want to cry.

Matthew gets behind him. Lines himself up. Pushes in. Force feeds his swelling knot.

Jiwoong lets out a half-scream at the pleasure-pain as he’s impaled.

Matthew reaches out his left hand, smears his scent up Jiwoong’s spine, over his shoulders, behind his ears. Staking his claim. He even leans over the omega and boldly slaps his left hand down on top of Jiwoong’s and rubs his thumb over the omega’s glittering wedding ring. “Next time you need some dick, you come to me,” he says straight into Jiwoong’s ear.

Jiwoong’s so fucked dumb that the message hardly registers. His untouched dick drips precum across the comforter, Matthew’s useless shirt forgotten.

Matthew’s knot has swollen so large that he can’t pull out. Can’t fuck in. Can’t do anything as Jiwoong’s body clenches and relaxes around him. Clenches and relaxes. Until it becomes too much to bear. Until there’s nothing holding him back. And then– And then– “I’m cumming.”

He doesn’t even have to announce it because Jiwoong can feel it. Taste it in his mouth, almost. Hear it. It takes over everything. Makes Jiwoong go fucking dizzy as his body takes an alpha’s load the way he’s meant to.

God. There’s so much of it. So much cum. So much that Jiwoong swears he can feel it bloat his stomach. So much that the knot, fat as it is, can’t do as it should and stop some of it from dribbling out past his sore rim, trickling down Jiwoong’s thighs, getting all over the bed.

And then, nuts empty at last, Matthew sucks in a breath and collapses across Jiwoong’s back. His weight flattens the omega to the bed and he heaves hot air across Jiwoong’s neck as the omega’s body wrings him dry.

His knot keeps them locked together for twenty minutes and he holds Jiwoong the entire time.

That night, Jiwoong still waits up for his husband.

He sits in the dark living room and waits. And waits. He makes a phone call that goes unanswered and then he waits some more. His alpha is usually back from work around 8pm but the hour passes. Then the next. 10pm comes and goes. 11pm. Midnight.

Jiwoong does not know where his alpha is. He wonders if the man is fucking that other omega.

He asks himself what that omega has that he doesn’t. What they do that he doesn’t.

Then he convinces himself he doesn’t care.

He wants to know who it is. He doesn’t want to know who it is.

It’s 1am when he finally goes up the stairs. He crawls into bed, weary, but he can’t fall asleep no matter how badly he wishes to. His mind is a hurricane of dark thoughts.

At two-something in the morning, he hears the front door unlock. A sound he can probably hear even during a fucking earthquake. He hears the door click shut. Then there’s the rustle of fabric and the soft footsteps of a man sneaking into his own house.

Jiwoong listens out for the creak of the stairs. For the familiar pop and snap of the hallway floorboards as they bend beneath his alpha’s weight. Then he hears the shower cut on. It runs. Fifteen minutes pass. It cuts off.

Then his alpha comes into the bedroom. Gets ready for bed.

This is when the omega pays attention. If his alpha is going to cheat, Jiwoong won’t divorce him. Won’t murder him. He will declare war instead.

Jiwoong lays still, pretending to sleep, but he watches his alpha through a cracked open eye. Watches the man go about his nightly routine like neither of them are doing something wrong.

At long last, his alpha clicks off the light and slips underneath the covers. Jiwoong shuts his eyes. Relaxes into the linens. He tries so hard not to grin.

Beside him, his alpha tosses and turns with uncharacteristic restlessness.

Then that’s when it happens. The realization.

The tension of muscles. That fight or flight response.

Jiwoong feels the moment his mate becomes aware of a challenging alpha’s scent in his territory. Something faint lingering in the air. On the sheets. On his sweet little omega’s skin. His alpha sits up in bed, looks around on high alert, the faintest growl rumbling in his throat.

Then his alpha goes statue still as the suspicion finally hits.

Or at least Jiwoong can only guess.

Maybe, just maybe, Jiwoong can feel the way his alpha stares at him from behind his closed eyes. Maybe, just maybe, his alpha feels betrayed. Ripped to shreds. Heartbroken. Disgusted. Angry. Even a quarter of the things Jiwoong has felt.

Maybe. Just maybe.

Because if his alpha is going to cheat, he will cheat too.

And Jiwoong’s more than prepared for a war of attrition.

His alpha gets out of bed.

For the first time in weeks, Jiwoong drifts off to sleep with no issue.
