Work Text:

The best part about coming back from spring break is the new life that has been wisped in by the cool breeze of the season. Pathways to the university that were once lined with dead foliage seemed to bounce fully to life in no time at all. But what takes the cake is the soft dance of cherry blossom petals as they rain down in a seemingly endless loop. Seungkwan knew he would want extra time to soak it all in, so he had taken the liberty of waking up extra early that morning and strolling to class with his coffee rather than his usual hustle and bustle to get there.

He was glad to have the peaceful reprieve of the morning, but you can only stroll so slowly before you reach your destination, and reach it he sure had. His monday lecture, which was also an 8AM for no good reason, was musical composition. The class was, as you would expect, hard as shit and it was way too early for it. Plus, he shared the class with a freakish musical genius, Jihoon. This guy could compose a song with his eyes closed and also do it in ten minutes. The fact that he shared a class with him also made it ridiculously hard to get any grade above a C for pretty much everyone else. Having Jihoon as a direct comparison made them all look bad, and he couldn’t help himself but to produce some of the best music you will ever hear. Still, at least it wasn’t boring.

Seungkwan was early today thanks to the walk, so he had extra time to get settled in and scroll through his email and canvas while the other students of the class started popping in one by one. Jihoon wasn’t far behind him, then Wonwoo, another one of the strongest composers of this period, and so on until Lee Chan walked in. he gave his typical little smile to Seungkwan, making his way to sit down next to his friend whom he hadn’t seen since before spring break let out.

“Hyung! How was Jeju?” Chan was happy to see Seungkwan, and the latter would say he wasn’t excited to see Chan, too, but that is all just a big lie. Chan was a cute dongsaeng, the youngest in the class, and the two had been friends since they were twelve and thirteen, respectively.

“It was good, I got to see my family and bookeu. Oh!” Seungkwan hurriedly turned to dig in his bag, because of course he couldn’t go to Jeju and come back empty handed. “I brought you~” he cooed in a sing-song tone as he shoved aside his laptop and books to reach a small twine baggie of tangerines, tied together at the top with a cute pink ribbon. “These!” he turned towards Chan now, who was smiling ever so brightly at the bag that was offered out towards him.

It was also at that moment that someone strolled in, it couldn’t have been anything less than thirty seconds until 8AM, and this guy was walking in with absolutely zero haste. What's more is that Seungkwan had never seen him before. Not to toot his own horn, but Seungkwan was very popular around campus. Everyone knew him and he knew everyone. This guy was tall, maybe not much taller than himself though, had incredibly fair skin, dark brown hair that was neatly laid, immaculately trimmed eyebrows, and no expression on his face.

“Aish.. again with the oranges.” Chan pretended to tut in annoyance as he took the baggie of fruits from his friend, which was absolutely betraying the huge smile that he wore as he took them. He noticed, then, that Seungkwan seemed frozen up, and followed his gaze towards the man who was now making his way towards Jihoon. “Ah, do you know him?” Chan looked back at Seungkwan, who just slowly shook his head.

“I don’t, that is the weird part.” He hummed, watching as Jihoon smiled and stood up to dap the new guy up. The two immediately started chatting, the new guy taking the seat next to Jihoon. Seungkwan blinked a couple times, shook his head, then pinched Chan's ear and gave it a tug. “And you-” he scolded and let go of the ear as Chan’s face scrunched up, “a thank you would suffice!” he continued, watching the other start to giggle and rub his ear.

Class came and went. The annoying thing about college is that professors don’t take class time to introduce new students like they did in high school. They have lesson plans to get through and people are paying for the course content, not the students they are sitting next to. Still, despite that, Seungkwan really wanted an introduction from this guy. It absolutely ate him alive to not know everyone all the time. On the way out, he and Jihoon stuck together and Chan stayed glued to his side, excitedly chattering about the agreement they’d come to during class to get breakfast.

As the duo ahead made a left turn while Chan and himself made a right, he was able to just barely catch a name.

“Vernon-ah.”

Vernon.

What kind of name is Vernon? He could only recall hearing it from Hollywood actors and characters in movies, never someone he has met face to face.

“And you are paying, right?” That sentence severed Seungkwan's train of thought, eyebrows furrowing and a tsk automatically rolling off his tongue.

“Has hell frozen over yet?”

It should go without saying that Seungkwan is talented - it's actually a requirement for attendance at his school, which was the top performing arts college in Korea. You have to audition to get in and the acceptance rate is only around 8%, so all of his peers are incredibly talented too. Chan was the top of his class in dance, and he was actually the one to teach Seungkwan how to dance. They had similar dancing styles and flows, but Chan poured his whole heart and passion into his performances which really did show on stage. Jihoon was a genius producer but was just as good of a singer, Wonwoo was an excellent composer and rapper, but practically no one was able to touch Seungkwan's vocals. He was accepted on the spot due to his prowess in singing, only one other person had achieved that and he was a year ahead of Seungkwan. Seokmin and himself actually came to be quite close friends since they had been sharing vocal classes since day one. Rivalry wasn’t even a thought in their minds, really. When you are both secure in your talent, there is no need for competition.

Speaking of competitions, the vocal class was preparing for one at the moment. There was a spring festival so everyone could gather up and see the cherry blossoms in full bloom, and they had performances from a handful of colleges nearby. It was a fairly inconsequential competition because it was almost impossible to beat Seungkwan's school, the more serious ones came right before summer vacation as a part of finals.

But just because it was inconsequential didn't mean that the class didn’t have to put in the work to prepare. Their professor would be pissed if they showed up with anything below perfection and left a bad impression of her work, so his Tuesday 8am was tiring as all hell. His main vocal class was similar to a lab for a science class, so it was two hours long rather than the typical one. He also had his dance class on Tuesday, which was also two hours long. Tuesdays and Thursdays were the days with the fewest classes, but somehow managed to be the most exhausting ones.

He also made the bold mistake of starting all of his days off at 8am, which is fine in theory but horribly exhausting in practice. He had three classes on monday, wednesday, and friday: composing, music history, and vocals for musical theater. On Tuesday and Thursday he had his main vocal and dance classes. Of course, as a college student, he also had to fit work in there when he could so he was generally pretty slammed. His professor scolded him all the time for working and doing school, but he was pretty slim on options. He lived in the dorms since his family is still down in Jeju, and his school is all the way up in Seoul, and had to feed himself somehow.

Because of that, he was already pretty exhausted by Wednesday morning when he had to drag himself back to school at 8 in the morning. His walk to class this day was a stark contrast from the leisurely stroll he had taken on Monday morning. Today he was hustling, an iced americano in hand as he jogged past all the beautiful scenery with less than ten minutes to make it to his class. Of course stopping for coffee would be the exact thing to make Seungkwan late for a day. He made it to class with two minutes to spare and was catching a mocking look of disappointment from his incredibly frustrating dongsaeng and seat partner.

“Iced coffee in hand and almost late for class, that’s my least favorite combo to see on a person.” Chan teased as Seungkwan took his seat next to the younger man.

“Stuff it Chan.” he sighed as he sunk into the chair and sat the aforementioned iced coffee down on the desk in front of him. “Ugh I’m too tired for this, I should have skipped.” he whined as he slumped towards Chan and leaned all his weight into the other, who promptly shoved him off.

“Don't take it out on me!” he scolded, though he was biting back a smile as he did so.

Just then, thirty seconds to eight once again, another person walked in. Seungkwan had completely let Vernon slip from his mind since Monday. If he didn’t, he would have been totally eaten alive by not knowing everything about the man. Plus, now that he got a second look at him, he probably would have realized just how attractive he is. His cool exterior as he walks into a class with almost no time left really caught Seungkwan's attention - who had practically sprinted to make sure he wasn’t late. This time, his gaze shifted momentarily towards Seungkwan as he walked to his seat. He didn’t stop his stride, didn’t turn his head, just simply flicked his eyes in Seungkwan’s direction.

A chill immediately shot straight through Seungkwan’s spine, ears burning hot in less than a moment as he ripped his gaze away and looked straight towards the front of class. Shit. he was totally just caught gawking at this guy, what a horrible mistake to make. On one hand he thought 'how the hell did he notice I was looking?’ but then immediately corrected his train of thought to, ‘well, I wasn’t exactly being discreet.’ which was much more accurate.

What is even worse was that he could swear his whole life on the fact that Vernon was staring at him for practicality the entire class. Almost every time Seungkwan would steal a glance,  the dude was looking at him. It was weird but Seungkwan also couldn’t help but notice how pretty his eyes were. His eyebrows really tied his face together into a perfect frame of beauty, and those eyes were sharp and stunning.

On his way out, he couldn’t help but feel like he had eyes burning holes into the back of his head. But, like a total coward, he didn’t turn back to look.

-

“SEUNGKWAAAAAAN~” a sing-song voice rang out the second he walked into vocals for musical theater.

“Aish- pipe down!” Seungkwan hissed in response, jogging over to the source of the noise. The man was smiling so widely that his eyes turned into little smiles of their own, giggling with full disregard to the world around him.

“I missed you~” Seokmin cooed, patting the younger man on the head, who rolled his eyes in response.

“You saw me in class yesterday and you didn't respond to my text from last night.” he corrected, setting his school bag down right in front of the stage. Being that this was a musical theater class, most of their sessions tended to be held in the theater - go figure. But, being the prodigies that they are, Seungkwan and Seokmin were always the first two to arrive.

“Aye~ don’t be like that.” Seokmin puffed up a bit, putting on an act of being sad until the door to the auditorium opened up once again. “SHUAAAA~!” Seokmin’s roll call continued, Joshua glancing over to smile and wave before looking back to his left and finishing his conversation with the person he had walked to class with.

“Oh? Who is that?” Seungkwan, with Seokmin in tandem, both leaned a bit to the left to see the man who was slightly tucked out of view by the other door.

“Alright cool, I’ll text you after this and we can meet up.” Joshua spoke in English to this guy, and Seungkwan was able to properly make the second man out as he dapped Joshua up on his way out.

Vernon happened to glance his way, with disgustingly eerie accuracy, landing his eyes right on Seungkwan’s. The latter nearly choked, stumbling his weight into Seokmin whom he had been leaning into to see the second party. The two fumbled to the ground in a loud scene of yah s and shit s. When they looked back up, Joshua was headed towards them alone with a very confused look on his face.

“Man, the two man circus never disappoints.” He sat his bag down and helped Seungkwan up, much to a sulky Seokmin’s dismay.

“Wah… I get knocked to the ground and the assailant is the one who gets help?” He stayed on the ground, very much suited for a musical theater class.

The door opened once again, and this time it was Seungkwan’s turn to call roll.

“AH! MOON JUNNIE~!” he jogged away from Joshua and Seokmin to meet up alongside Jun, taking his arm with a big smile. “Junnie hyung, I missed you~”

“But when I say it!” Seokmin continued his pity party, Jun very much used to all of this chaos.

“Hey guys.” he humbly remarked, taking off his bag and setting it with the other guy’s things, his personal escort still glued to his arm.

“Oh- speaking of greeting people.” Seungkwan looked over, not giving up his place as a purse for Jun, to Joshua who was finally dragging Seokmin to his feet. “Who is that guy you came in with? Does he speak english?” He tried to be nonchalant, acting like the English speaking part was the concern rather than the fact that his heart dropped out of his ass every time they made eye contact.

“Oh, that’s Vernon. He just transferred here. He’s actually, like, way better at Korean than I am - he’s lived here since he was a kid. We just both realized we had English speaking in common and rolled with it.” he explained, Seungkwan accidentally took mental notes of every last word. “His Korean name is Chwe Hansol.”

“He transferred? Wow.. he must be really good at something to be able to transfer in.” Seokmin said with a slight awed look on his face.

“Aish- says you.” Seungkwan scolded as he finally released Jun. “You were the first ever person to be accepted on audition day.”

“And you were the second!” he gladly announced back, looking back at Joshua. “What did he get admitted for?”

“Rap and production. Apparently he was recommended by Jihoon.”

“Jihoon has that kinda sway?” Jun gaped, finally butting in.

“I mean,” Joshua shrugged, then put his hands up in defense, “I don’t know? Ask him yourself! I’m just friends with the guy, you guys can talk to him too, you know.” Seokmin and Jun shrunk back a bit, true introverts. Seungkwan just nodded a bit.

“Yeah…” he trailed off, the small group having got lost in their own little conversation enough to not even realize that the other students and professor had made their way in.

The competition’s turn around time after spring break was actually pretty steep, making the first week crunch time rather than a chill transition back into the hard work of it all. The vocal class as a whole wasn’t performing, they had instead settled on the top performing students to have a small handful of songs they would be performing. The lineup for the performance was Seungkwan, Seokmin, Jihoon, Joshua, and Jeonghan. As a whole, they were performing two songs - Habit and Don’t Listen in Secret . All the songs they were performing were also produced and written by Jihoon, which was another treat for the audience. The teacher really wanted to show what their school had to offer and show just why they were so picky with their student selections.

After the two group performances, they would break off into smaller units starting with Jihoon’s solo of What Kind Of Future , then Jeonghan and Joshua would come in to bring up the mood with Falling For U. The closing act would be Say Yes by Seungkwan and Seokmin. The set was definitely overkill for a small music competition, but it wasn’t uncommon for this school to do something so intense. This lineup, however, was very fresh. Seungkwan was a freshman, Seokmin and Jihoon sophomores, and Jeonghan and Joshua juniors. The small unit hadn’t ever performed together like this, so they were all a bit nervous to do so.

They would be performing on Saturday, and it was currently Thursday, which meant it was the last time the class would be meeting before their performance. It was a dress rehearsal of sorts, minus makeup which they would have done the day of. Seungkwan’s hair was currently a dusty pink, so he wore a complimentary ashy green cardigan that had a white button up shirt underneath it. They ran through the entire set for that class, finishing off with Say Yes , which was quite a difficult song to sing. Seokmin and Seungkwan finished on their marks at the end of the song, then looked at each other with these big smiles because they had easily just performed their best run of the song yet.

“You two are insanely good.” Jihoon complimented as he shut off the song, standing up from behind the computer to clap for the duo. The rest of the class also started clapping, which made the pair ahead of them somehow beam even more.

“We couldn’t have done it without you Jihoon hyung.”

Seungkwan, who was cursed with overthinking, woke up extra early that Friday morning. His mind was swirling with overwhelming worries about the festival, and no matter how hard he tried he just could go back to sleep. He tossed and turned for an hour or so before finally hauling himself out of the bed and getting ready for the day. He decided he would spare himself some extra time to go to his favorite cafe and have a coffee in house before class, since he couldn’t manage to soothe his head.

He didn’t want to make a fool of himself in front of not only a majority of the attendees of his school, but also the attendees of surrounding schools. He thought about it the whole time he had coffee, and it carried on as he walked towards composing. He looked to the cherry blossoms - that would soon be losing all of their blooms just in time for the festival - as if they could solve the issues he was feeling deep inside. At the end of it, though, all they served to do was remind him of what was to come. So, he just slumped the rest of the way to class with his eyes to the ground.

He checked his watch after he entered the building of the class to find himself having arrived quite early, which drew a small defeated huff from his lips. “Great.” he murmured, then let his arm fall to his side as he headed up the stairs towards class. He was a bit surprised to find the lights to the classroom already lit, considering how early he was. He double checked his watch just outside of the door, confirmed he had the right time, then shrugged and let himself in.

The desks were pretty much empty minus one student who already sat in a seat, huge headphones on and his eyes trained down at his phone. Vernon was here early? Seungkwan didn’t know shit about the dude, but the one thing he had been two for two on was walking in with thirty seconds to 8. He seemed to be completely unaware of Seungkwan’s entrance, so the latter just moved to his seat while trying not to stare.

It was the motion of the other going to his seat that alerted Vernon to look up from his phone and over towards the man who was now sitting down. He quickly removed the large headphones he was wearing, pulling them down to rest around his neck as he settled his eyes on the other person to enter the classroom. Once again, Seungkwan could feel his eyes as they bore into his side. This time, though, with nothing else to pay attention to, he had to spare him a glance. Their eyes met, like they had many times before, and Seungkwan gave a small, polite smile.

“Good morning.” he said with a small bow of his head, to which Vernon returned the gesture.

“Good morning.”

“I’m Seungkwan, it's nice to meet you.”

“I’m Hansol, nice to meet you as well.” he greeted, his eyes and gaze just intent to stay on Seungkwan. The latter made a note in his mind that Vernon had introduced himself as Hansol, and that it would be odd to call him Vernon if they were just meeting for the first time.

“I don’t believe I’ve seen you around before,” Seungkwan started, shifting a bit in his seat so he could face Vernon from where he sat, “are you new?”

“Oh, yeah. I transferred from a school in New York.” He shifted a bit too, now, so they were both facing one another. “I graduated from high school here and moved abroad for a semester to be closer to my mom, but I sort of missed the atmosphere here so I decided to come back.” he explained, and Seungkwan found himself way more immersed in the words than he had intended to be.

“Ah.. I see you sit with Jihoon. How do you know him?”

“We follow each other on Instagram. I’m a big fan of his work and he thought mine had a lot of potential so he put in a good word for me with the school.”

“Wow… that is a high honor to get from Jihoon hyung.” Seungkwan lightly joked, following it with a laugh that made Hansol seem to soften in his shoulders unknowingly.

“Is it? I will have to thank him.” Hansol spoke in such a tone that made all of his words sound so starkly serious, Seungkwan couldn’t help but correct him.

“No no, I’m sure he already knows. You are early today, is there any reason?”

“I woke up early today.” he answered so simply again, Seungkwan loved how straightforward he was. “Usually I wake up like thirty minutes before class. Today I was early, so I decided to come early.”

“I see.”

“You are a singer?” Hansol suddenly asked, which made Seungkwan straighten up a little in surprise.

“Oh, yeah. How did you know?”

“I saw a poster for this weekend's festival, seems like you are a pretty big deal.”

Seungkwan's ears turned a bit red at the notion that he was some kind of star just because he was marked on the fliers for the cherry blossom festival. “Ah.. that, yeah.” his tone softened down out of habit when he was embarrassed, trying to make himself less visible. The issue was that as the subject of Hansol’s gaze, he felt anything but invisible. “I’m really not a ‘big deal’, I’m just one of the five people performing. You should stop by if you get the chance. I’ve seen a lot of the plans for the event since I’m one of the performers and there is seriously a lot going on. A lot of food, too, if you are into that.”

“You were one of the people selected to perform, weren’t you?” Hansol skipped entirely over the second half of Seungkwan's words, more concerned by the fact that he wasn’t impressed with his own achievements.

“I mean… yeah?” Seungkwan didn’t understand the question. Obviously, if he is on the fliers as a performer, he was selected to perform. He immediately flagged it as a stupid question, because yes those exist.

“Who else was picked, again?”

“Jihoon hyung, Jeonghan hyung, Joshua hyung, and Seokmin hyung.”

“Would you say it’s not a big deal that any one of them were one of five to be selected to perform?”

Seungkwan almost felt his heart stop in that moment, staring at Hansol’s soft, sincere eyes. An explosion was going off in his stomach, butterflies filling up his throat and threatening to choke him to the point of passing out. ‘No one ever asks me these things.’ he realized at that moment. ‘No one ever cares when I put myself down. Why, suddenly, does this guy care?’ he also suddenly felt bad for flagging this as a stupid line of questioning. Hansol was wildly thoughtful, he just made Seungkwan work for the thoughtfulness.

“N..no?” he finally manages, watching the most charming small smile break that sculpted face across from him.

“Then,” he starts, taking a small pause to look at the way Seungkwan's features had been dusted in a crimson blush, “why should you be the only one who isn’t recognized for being selected?”

The door opened then, making Seungkwan startle to the point that he stood up from his chair, quickly looking in the direction of the door to see the face that annoyed him most. Chan was looking back at him with mild confusion and an incredibly sly comment loading behind those eyes, while Hansol had stood up because of Seungkwan's sudden start. One of his hands subconsciously reached out towards the other man, despite their distance from each other.

“I have to use the restroom.” Seungkwan announced before Chan or Hansol could speak, then excused himself out of the room. He was speed walking down that hallway, a hand over his mouth as if he had to stay quiet for any particular reason.

He opted to use the family bathroom so he could lock the door, and then just propped his hands against each side of the sink, looking at himself in the mirror.

“God damnit Seungkwan.” he hissed to his reflection, noticing the warmth that had peppered his ears and cheeks. “What is wrong with you, huh? You have got to get it together.” he leaned back from the mirror to let a small sigh slip from his lips, and let his mind wander back to the small smile he had seen on Hansol’s face. It warmed up all of those renaissance features, the ones that had to be sculpted by Michelangelo's very own skilled hand. Even the memory of it now made Seungkwan’s heart quicken in its pace, which then made him let out a frustrated groan and look at himself in the mirror again.

“I’d say you need therapy, but you’d probably develop a crush on the therapist too, you weirdo.” Seungkwan scolded his reflection then turned on the water and took some into his hands to splash on his face. It was freezing from not being used yet, which is exactly what he needed to cool down his face.

If nothing else at all, he had gotten his mind off of the anxiety for the upcoming festival. Hansol was able to pull his mind away from that, replace those spiraling thoughts with some much more mild ones. If he were cognisant of that fact, he would be incredibly grateful.

When he returned to class Chan had set his things down at the table he always shared with Seungkwan, but was sitting next to Hansol, showing him something on his phone. By the music that was coming out of the device, Seungkwan was able to recognize it as something from their dance class the previous day. He froze up a bit, staring at Hansol who watched the screen with an even expression and a slight bop to his head. When it was over, he looked up to Chan and offered a hand out for a bro high five.

“You’re really good.” he remarked as they clapped their hands together and then released them smoothly.

“Thank you.” Chan happily replied, standing up from his seat. “Stop by after class next tuesday, we can dance for a bit together.”

“Sure.” Hansol nodded, one of those small smiles cracking his chilled expression and warming it up again. The rush that spiraled through Seungkwan's stomach reminded him where he had frozen up and pushed him to walk back towards his seat.

“Oh hyung, wanna see what I was just showing Vernon hyung?” Chan asked as they met up back near their seats. At first he could only feel relieved that Chan hadn’t shown a recording of the both of them from dance class, but then suddenly realized that Chan referred to him as ‘Vernon’ and not ‘Hansol.’ He spared a glance to Hansol, who was now fishing through his bag for his laptop, then back to Chan. That made a whole lot of no sense at all, if he had to be real.

“Ah.. yeah, show me.”

Hansol’s impact could only fend off the anxiety for so long, unfortunately. It is Saturday now and Seungkwan was freaking out once again. He had to arrive early for a sound check and one last rehearsal, then the group got to break away to have lunch before it was hair and makeup time. He tagged along with the rest of the guys, but found himself only having the appetite for an iced americano when they actually got to lunch. Caffeine was exactly what he needed to add more stimulation to his already overwhelmed, rushing mind. The only other person who seemed even a bit anxious was Jeonghan. They both would deny that fact if they were asked, but deep down they both knew that they were nervous for what is to come. This was his first time being selected as one of the people to perform in a lineup, so he was going through some intense feelings himself.

After lunch it was back to the competition venue to get styled, which took way longer than Seungkwan had thought it would. By the time they finally finished up with hair, the very last step, he could already hear crowds of people chatting outside of the stage area. He and Jeonghan snuck off from the rest of the group to head towards the stage area where they could peek out and see everyone who was gathering up. It was still early, they had about an hour before the set actually began, but there were already people hanging around. Most of them were just drinking and chatting, he recognized a lot of the faces he saw close to the stage.

“Oh god.” Seungkwan ducked back to where he couldn’t see the crowd, sinking to sit down on the ground with Jeonghan sitting down next to him.

“We are gonna do fine.” Jeonghan commented in a way that also seemed as if he had to make himself believe it to be true. “We are gonna do great actually, cheer up Seungkwannie.” The older man wrapped an arm around Seungkwan’s shoulders and drew him closer to his side. Despite the fact that he was also full of anxiety, he was more apt to care for Seungkwan than himself.

“Ah, thank you hyung.” The younger replied, curling into his hyung a bit. They sat there for a minute to calm their mutually pounding hearts, then hauled themselves up to go to their dressing room and waiting area. Despite their school being the hosts of the event, their group was going to be the last one to perform. It was sort of a situation in which the school felt so confident in their act that they wanted to save the best for last, which increased the pressure on the vocal teams shoulders ten times.

When it was finally time to kick off the evening, a bubbly MC took the stage.

“Laaadies and gentlemen~” an energetic man cheered to the crowd, “I would like to thank you guys for coming out tonight! My name is Kwon Soonyoung, how is everyone doing tonight?!” Even though he had a microphone, he was still yelling on the stage. And when he spoke, all eyes on the vocal team darted towards Jihoon, who was rolling his eyes out of a knee jerk instinct. All of the teams were lined up in the wings because they would be introduced and would greet the crowd as one before shuffling back to their rooms. The crowd cheered back at Soonyoung, and Seokmin softly giggled in Jihoon’s direction. He had really tried to cover up the fact that he and Soonyoung were dating, but it managed to spread through the school like wildfire and now everyone knew. He acted like he hated it publicly, but everyone knew how pissy Jihoon got whenever Soonyoung would pull away or talk to other guys too much.

“Woah! Good energy here tonight, I love to see it.” he giggled, stealing his time on the stage while he had it. “I am here to introduce our lovely teams for the night! Starting with our very own vocal team: Jihoon, Jeonghan, Joshua, Seokmin, and Seungkwan!” As their names were announced, the vocal team walked out of the wing, bowing and greeting the audience with polite smiles on their faces. The audience cheered and clapped back, with some particularly big fans of the school screaming louder than the general volume of the audience.

It was then that he realized how much the crowd had expanded since the first time he checked with Jeonghan, and he felt a rush of dizziness for just a second before drawing in a deep breath and keeping his happy face on. He looked out, trying to get acquainted with its size so he wouldn’t worry himself anymore once it came time to perform. It wasn’t anything he hadn’t done before, he was actually very used to singing in front of people, but the scale of this was unlike anything he had done yet. He found himself scanning the audience for anyone he was close with, but they must have been further back than he could see with the lights shining in his eyes.

The introductions continued on, each school's contenders being called to the stage. When he finally finished introducing them all, Soonyoung looked back at the groups. “Wah- we got some good looking singers up here tonight.” he quipped while making eye contact with Jihoon, who automatically sneered back at him. Soonyoung giggled a little bit as he looked back at the audience. “Let's hear it one last time for the contenders, shall we?!” he called, the loudest roar from the audience coming now that everyone was on stage and they all had their respective people to root for. Seungkwan reached over to take Seokmin’s hand to ground himself a bit, looking over to the man who seemed to be glowing as he took in all the appreciation from the crowd.

“Alrighty! If you all would please show yourselves out, we will get this show on the road.” Soonyoung said to the groups, who gave one last bow before shuffling off stage to go back to their rooms.

Seungkwan realized, as he watched, just how many of the other performers he knew. Some he had known since he was little, others he knew from parties he had gone to. Seungkwan was a social butterfly at his core, not even knowing every last person at school was enough to satisfy his heart. This also led him to realize just how many talented people he knew. All of the teams were incredible , they had good sets and amazing vocals, and seungkwan was getting just a bit more nervous with each passing moment.

‘All of these people are so good,’ Seungkwan thought, ‘how can I possibly match up as the very last set?’ the thought bore away in his mind, then a small glint of light sparked in that darkness. A reminder.

Why should you be the only one who isn’t recognized?

Hansols words popped back into his head as if they were a mantra, splashing water over the raging fire of anxiety that he had been battling the entire time he watched the others on stage. Why should he be so hard on himself but praise others so strongly in his mind? How is that fair to himself?

His shoulders relaxed in that moment, a small smile cracking over his lips. The anxiety suddenly felt tamable. It may not be fully gone, but at least it didn’t feel like it was going to cripple him on the stage. And it was just in time, too, as their teacher opened the door to their room.

“Places!” she called, quickly ducking out of the way so the group of five could hustle their way up. There were short intermissions between acts because they all had different sets, and places meant that it was finally time for everything to start. They got up to the stage, mics in one hand while their other hands all went in to do a little group cheer together before they actually found their spots.

“For our last act! Please welcome my home school!” Soonyoung called into the mic from in front of the curtain. Cheers broke out amongst the crowd in honor of the long awaited final act. Every flier for this event around school really put a lot of emphasis on the prowess of these five, so everyone was rather excited to see it after all of the talent leading up to them.

‘I deserve this. ’ Seungkwan reminded himself as he found stillness on his platform. They all had a position on a platform that would raise and descend as they each respectively sang, just to give levels to the fact that they couldn’t do much moving while singing such an intense song. ‘ I’m gonna do good.’ he continued his train of thought, but it washed away as his in-ears gave a count and the curtains opened up. It was dark on stage, the soft intro to habit bringing stillness to the air around them.

Joshua started off that song, his warm deep tones washing over the audience and bringing them down to a peaceful hush as they admired the first man under the first spotlight. Jihoon was next, and the power behind his voice brought out a soft “ooh” from many in the audience. The third spotlight flicked on Jeonghan, who delivered the pre chorus in his beautiful soft toned voice that charmed many in the audience immediately. Seungkwan took one last breath as Jeonghan finished his line, then his own spotlight flicked on. He had the first and last parts of the chorus, so the other members were softly supporting him but he was the lead of this part. Seokmin’s spotlight flicked on now, delivering his part of the chorus before it was Seungkwan’s turn again.

He and Seokmin both had very few parts in this particular song, but they were also the finishing act so they had to save up their stamina a bit at the beginning. They mainly focused on supporting vocals and adlibs for habit, hitting notes while the others carried on with repeating lyrics. The only other line Seungkwan had was towards the end of the song, the line Seokmin had sung earlier.

Habit came to a clean close and the crowd went wild, all of their platforms lowering and the lights flicking off so the crew could rush in with fancy looking chairs for the group to sit down on for Don’t Listen in Secret. The in-ears they all had on did a good job of muffling the roar of the crowd typically, but right now they were so worked up that he could still hear them. A small whirlwind of butterflies took over his stomach as his pride was slightly inflated by the fact that they loved habit so much. He beamed over at Jihoon, then, who just gave a knowing nod. It was dark, but their proximity allowed them to see each other.

He settled his face, then, as the count in his ear told him that Don’t Listen in Secret was about to start. Lights behind them slowly came up, showing the audience only their silhouettes as the soft piano intro started up. This song was also a bit somber, but it allowed all of the members to show really good vocal techniques. The member who shined the most was Seokmin, who had a bit of a growl to one of his parts. When that part came up and the crowd cheered in response to his technique, Seungkwan couldn’t help but feel a swell of pride in his chest. The two had a line in tandem towards the end, a small teaser for what was to come, and then the members all started harmonizing together.

Jihoon had the very last line of the song after an instrumental part, in which the members that weren’t Jihoon stood up and exited on stage left and right, respectively. This left Jihoon alone, center stage, a single light shining on him as he sang the last “Don’t listen in secret.”

In the wings now, Seokmin and Seungkwan took each other's hands and grinned so proudly at one another while the crowd went wild for the second performance, too.

“You killed it, hyung.” Seungkwan softly praised, to which Seokmin just giggled a little and patted Seungkwan’s head.

“We aren’t done yet.” he reminded, falling silent as the crowd quieted down. It was now time for Jihoon to perform What Kind of Future , the instrumental starting up. It was a beautiful performance, Seungkwan found himself teary eyed before the halfway point of the song could even start, and he heard a small symphony of sniffles from various places around him as the crew found themselves moved by the song too.

Soonyoung was also crying, but that is a given.

When Jihoon’s solo came to an end, he exited on the side of the stage that Seungkwan and Seokmin had gone into, where Soonyoung also stood. The leader of their little unit looked at the three, who were all caught in varying degrees of sniffles now, and just shook his head.

“What am I gonna do with you three? Goodness.” He was then pulled into a tight hug by Seungkwan and Seokmin, the pair swaying him side to side as they both vomited praises unto the man.

Jeonghan and Joshua took the stage next, Joshua coming out with an acoustic guitar while Jeonghan just took a seat at the chairs that had been changed for their set. For Jihoon they had left the four chairs on either side of him to capture the loneliness that What Kind of Future portrayed, but Falling For U had a completely different vibe, so they had to change up the set a bit.

This song was a cute acoustic arrangement, a much needed pickup because literally every other part of the set was a breakup song of some design. Joshua and Jeonghan had similar vocal tones, soft and graceful, that just went really well together with a guitar. Plus, they were both ridiculously attractive. Damn near half the audience were weak in the knees from the two handsome men singing about falling in love, the other half just impressed by their singing.

The appeal to Joshua and Jeonghan is the fact that they are both relatively private people. Jeonghan would occasionally reveal information about himself, but it was all incredibly inconsequential stuff that no one cared to remember. For example, last week he told someone about a blister that formed between two of his toes and how it just popped. No one cared to retain that information. So, those who formed mild crushes on the two swoon-worthy men in that moment were able to imagine themselves in a relationship with them during the song. Even their classmates didn’t know who they were dating, or if they were dating anyone, because of their private nature.

Of course, they were both taken. With faces like that it would be impossible for them to not be swooped up by now. Jeonghan was with the head of the rap department, Choi Seungcheol. He was a tall, strong dude who was honestly very possessive of Jeonghan. Despite that, they managed to fly under the dating radar. Jeonghan had a strange way about him, a propensity for things to just work for him.

Meanwhile, Joshua was dating one of the very men in the wings. A man who was currently grinning the same huge grin he always wore, and was Seungkwan's partner for the next song - Lee Seokmin. They had been together since their freshman and sophomore years, respectively. Seokmin was incredibly touchy and affectionate, and Joshua found himself falling for it within months of knowing the guy. Ever since then they have been glued at the hip, but act so friendly towards each other that you wouldn’t even know they were dating. Behind closed doors is an entirely different story, no one dared to ask.

As the song came close to an end, Seungkwan made his way through the pathways backstage to get to his side of the stage. The final act would be starting soon, and they were both set to be positioned on completely opposite sides from each other, close to the front of the stage. As he found his place in the wing, the two on stage finished their last harmony and the crowd cried out their approval for the duo, who promptly dipped out of the way as the lights went down.

It was finally time.

Seungkwan shot one last glance to Seokmin, who gave a thumbs up from his side of the stage, and then they both found their places in the light. The intro to Say Yes was originally Seungkwan’s voice right off the bat, but they added an extended piano section to really allow the audience to get into the final act. The first few notes started up, the screen behind them displaying scattered white dots to appear as stars, and a spotlight illuminated Seungkwan to start.

The two showed some of the most powerful vocals of the evening, beautifully blending their voices together to create a gorgeous harmony, while also singing quite sad lyrics about loving someone who has left. There was a false ending in the song, too, in which the boys turn towards each other to sing the final refrain. Their vocals were insane, high notes and harmonies just easily flowing between the duo and capturing the hearts of those that watched. Some teared up for the second time that evening, but this song wasn’t nearly as devastating as What Kind of Future , so it wasn’t too many. By the last soft note that Seokmin sang, even as the soft piano ending played, people were clapping and cheering for the ending performance. Even as the lights went down and the two scurried off stage, people were still hooting and hollering.

Seungkwan had to make his way back to the side where the rest of his teammates had gathered, and they all met with huge smiles on their faces and exchanged hugs and praise while Soonyoung walked back out to wrap things up.

Of course, it was hardly a real contest, the vocal team won by a landslide vote from the judges. Even though they could have seen that coming, the small group of guys all eagerly hugged each other again to celebrate their win and accepted the little trophy from Soonyoung.

From there, they were all allowed to change back into their normal clothes to enjoy the rest of the evening and the festivities going on. Seungkwan decided to leave his makeup on, just putting the clothes he had come in back on and making his way through the backstage area to get out of there. Seokmin and Joshua were walking together ahead of him, and he wanted to catch up but all three of them were dealing with people stopping them to tell them they were cool or congratulate them. Seungkwan was just barely out of the door and he was already on his 5th person coming up to him to chat. He remained humble and grateful, but was starting to feel hungry and was a bit tired so he was desperately looking for a way out at that moment.

“Oh! Seungkwan, right?” a girl excitedly came up to him right after another one left, and he just smiled politely at her.

“Yeah, hello.” he greeted, then felt a hand on his shoulder, an arm wrapped around his back, and a presence slightly taller than him to his right. His body immediately stiffened up, and he looked over quickly to see Hansol, who had comfortably hung himself on Seungkwan like he had done this a billion times before.

He looked incredible. He wore a very springy outfit that honestly contrasted his usual looks for school - white pants, a deep collared white shirt, and a blue short sleeved button up over the shirt with none of the buttons done up. His hair still laid as nicely as it always did, he just looked perfect.

“Sorry I'm late.” Hansol said awfully casually, those eyes trained on Seungkwan as he spoke. “I don’t mean to cut you off,” he continued to the girl now, however the other couldn’t help but continue to look up at him, his heart thrumming hard under his ribs. “But we were going to walk around for a bit together. I meant to pick him up right from the door, but it was a bit crowded.”

Seungkwan finally looked at the girl, giving a small and slightly guilty smile. “Yeah, I'm really sorry. If you see me around school feel free to stop and say hi then!” he politely nodded his head towards her as Hansol had already started to steer him away from the girl as well as the eyes that were all on him.

“You did amazing.” Hansol remarked, looking down to Seungkwan again with a gentle smile on his features, his hand still resting around his shoulders. It felt like the hand was sending sparks and tingles directly to his spine, and his ears were hot - undoubtedly bright red.

“You came.” Seungkwan softly murmured, tearing his gaze away to look ahead so they wouldn’t bump into anyone. The event was divided into two pathways that both led to the event center. One pathway was the side with all of the vendors, drinks, and games, the other was purely for cherry blossom viewing. The side with all the entertainment was far busier, so he guided them towards the cherry blossom path so they could get away from everything for a minute.

“You asked me to.” he replied, stopping at the side of the pathway to let go of Seungkwan and face him instead. “Your voice is beautiful.” he continued as if making sure Seungkwan really understood his praise was the most important thing to him. Those eyes made Seungkwan feel like he was going to drown on his own tongue. His cheeks were crimson again, and he softly reached out to push on Hansol’s shoulder to hush him up.

“Aye. don’t look at me like that.” he avoided his gaze now, but felt like he could still feel it on him. “And thank you… I’m really glad you enjoyed it.”

Hansol put a hand on his shoulder where he had been pushed, a soft smile on his lips. “And you look incredible.” he laid it on thick again, and Seungkwan felt his legs getting restless so he softly took hold of one of his hands and started walking again.

“What is with you? First you come to my rescue and now you're buttering me up? What is it? Come on.” He had just grabbed Hansol’s hand, but the other took the initiative to lace their fingers together, looking at the blossoms around them as they walked.

“Mm.” Hansol shrugged then. “I like being direct, it is the easiest way for me to communicate. You deserve the compliments, so I gave them to you.”

“You really are something.” Seungkwan giggled now, his eyes flicking down to their hands as he finally realized they had become laced together. He was prompt to let go of him after that, shoving both of his hands into his pockets. “How did you find me? I didn’t see you in the audience.”

“You were looking for me?” Hansol stopped walking then, which made Seungkwan stop in his tracks too. He paused for a moment, still looking straight ahead, before he turned to face Hansol.

“I mean-” He stopped himself, wondering how it was that his points were always maneuvered through by the other man. He pulled out sub points that were not the exact message of the sentence, but were important to him. “...Before I went on, and I mean right before, I was worried. The teams that went before us were amazing and I was set to be the closer after all of that talent. I honestly felt… defeated?”

‘Why are you telling him this? You guys hardly know each other.’ Seungkwan scolded himself, but went on.

“The anxiety was enough to make the room spin. I thought there was no way I could follow them up. But then, it was like a blink, and then your words came back to me. When you asked me why everyone but myself should be recognized, I honestly couldn’t have answered you. In fact, I’m not even certain I can now. But, what I do know is that those words reminded me to be softer on myself in that moment. I worked hard too, just as hard as they did. I deserve my spot on the stage just as much as them…” Saying it out loud made him shy away a bit, his gaze diverting to his feet. “So I went out and I did exactly what I rehearsed to do. I guess I looked for you because you helped me in that moment, and I am a glutton for validation.”

“I will make sure to be closer next time.” Hansol replied with the same ease as before, making Seungkwan look back up quickly. “Can I buy you dinner to make up for this time?” The latter flushed again, but couldn’t stop himself from breaking out in a small giggle.

“You are laying it on thick tonight. Did my voice really do that much for you?” Seungkwan teased, to which Hansol could now only smile back.

“It could do even more for me if I got to keep hearing it over dinner.”

“Okay,” Seungkwan seceded, “okay, I would love to get dinner with you. Actually, I am starving.”

“Pick your favorite place, it's on me.”

-

At the beginning of the week, Seungkwan never would have guessed that he would be going on some kind of pseudo date with the new kid in his composing class. In fact, he felt so far removed from that day by the end of the night that it was honestly pretty incredible.

He and Hansol went to his favorite pizza place in Seoul to get goguma pizza, which was just normal pizza with sweet potato stuffed crust, and ended up talking for hours on end. The restaurant wasn't slammed, just busy enough for the atmosphere to feel comfortable for extended seating.

Their conversation flowed in a perfectly endless stream that jumped comfortably from topic to topic. Seungkwan learned that Hansol is from New York, how early he moved to Korea, he has a little sister, he loves movies, he listens to a lot of rap but also Avril Lavigne, he is allergic to peanuts, and the list just somehow went on. It got to the point where Hansol had his phone out, showing Seungkwan some ridiculous cat meme when the latter finally got a glimpse at the time in the top corner of Hansol’s screen.

“Holy shit.” he gaped, looking up to Hansol who wasn’t quite expecting that reaction to the meme. “We have been here for three hours, we should get going.”

Hansol then pulled back his phone to look at the time, too, and blinked in surprise down at the screen. “Wah.. yeah, you are right.” He pressed the button at the end of the table to call over the waitress, asking her for a check when she arrived and blatantly ignoring Seungkwan asking to have it split.

“Aye-” Seungkwan scolded as she walked off, Hansol looking over as if he hadn’t a clue in the world. “I didn’t actually want you to pay for dinner.”

“Why? I told you it was on me before we even picked a place.”

“Yeah but I had intended to pay from the very beginning.” he sulked, the waitress handing Hansol the check and the latter handing it back to her immediately with his card, not even bothering to check the price so Seungkwan couldn’t either.

“Better luck next time.”

“Next time? Are you asking me out again already?” Seungkwan teased, putting his elbows on the table and his chin on his hands. Hansol looked back at him, a small smirk lifting up just one corner of his lips and making Seungkwan feel a slightly choked up feeling of shock and admiration.

“Should I?”

“No.” he quickly countered, the waitress coming back with the card and handing it to Hansol, who stood up as he slid the card and receipt into his wallet. Seungkwan stood up as well, walking alongside the other out of the restaurant. “You know, this is my favorite pizza place.” Seungkwan remarked, walking through the door that Vernon opened and held for him.

“Yeah, you told me when we came in.” he replied, falling back into step alongside Seungkwan.

“So I know how much dinner was.” he smoothly replied, an eager glint in his eyes. “Seokmin and I always go halfsies.”

“What's your point?”

“What is your kakao pay?”

“I don’t have one.”

“Liar.”

Hansol shrugged, snaking his arm around Seungkwan’s shoulder as they approached a couple dudes walking in the opposite direction. He pulled Seungkwan closer to his side, and would have switched them completely if it wouldn’t have put the other right by the road. “Got any proof?”

“You are so annoying.” he huffed, which made the latter chuckle. “By the way, which way is your place? Are you in the dorms or do you have an apartment?” he glanced towards where Hansol pointed, then, and felt himself sulk a bit.

“I have an apartment over that way.”

“Ah, I have to turn off here then. I had a lot of fun tonight.” Seungkwan softly hummed, leaning a bit of his weight into Hansol’s side, the other responding by squeezing his shoulder a little tighter in a side hug sort of way.

“You don’t want me to walk you home?”

“No, it's totally out of your way.” Seungkwan looked up to him, the two of them having come to a stop at an intersection.

“I don’t mind at all, lead the way.” he gently urged, which made Seungkwan’s heart flutter a little bit. He softly patted a hand against the other man’s chest and started towards the direction of his apartment then, content to let Hansol hang on him still.

It was strange, really. Seungkwan loved affection, he was incredibly touchy with all of his friends, but he never ended up in situations like this specific one. First “date” walking home like they had been a couple for years. More than that, he realized he was down quite bad in the sense that he was calling this a date in his head, when Hansol had never even specified it to be so. Context clues mean a lot, sure, but they aren’t the only things that matter.

“What’s on your mind?” Hansol’s voice broke his train of thought and brought him out of his head all of a sudden. He blinked, realizing they were much closer to his house than he had even realized and he had been silent for who knows how long.

“Oh, just…” Seungkwan trailed off, softly reaching a hand over to pat Hansol’s chest again. He liked the way it felt, the warmth and firm muscles under his hand, the steady thrum of his heart. “It was a really busy day, you know? I am still trying to process everything. I need to text the guys and thank them for all their hard work, I’m coming down a bit from the stress leading up to it, and I..” he went quiet for a moment. One thing he really appreciated about Hansol is that he never tried to fill silence. Throughout the entire night if Seungkwan wasn’t sure what to say or wanted to think about his next words, Hansol waited patiently every single time without fail. “I’m happy that I got to sit down with you at the end of it all. I usually love socializing but I really needed to unwind and you just came in at the perfect time, and you are super cool.”

The small compliment at the end made Hansol let out a soft puff of air as a laugh, his hand rubbing over Seungkwan’s shoulder for a moment. “I’m glad you accepted. I was wondering if it was way too weird for me to just walk up and steal you away, in fact I was regretting it at first, but I am glad it didn’t come off wrong. And you really, seriously , killed it today. I know it was a lot of nerves, and you are going to start dissecting everything you did up there, but you shouldn’t be hard on yourself. If you made any mistakes, no one could tell, if you were off tune, you really weren’t. So, in case anything like that starts to get to you, just try not to let it.”

Seungkwan kept leading them towards his apartment while he spoke and the two of them reached it as Hansol finished up. Seungkwan pulled away from him finally, facing him with a doting smile on his lips.

“Thank you hansollie.” he reached up, touching the shell of his ear in a soft doting motion. “And thank you for walking me home, you didn’t have to do that.” he put one hand in his pocket, the other one gently fixing Hansol’s shirt collar and smoothing it down under his button up.

“Of course I did.” He let Seungkwan fuss at him because he actually quite enjoyed the attention, but didn’t make any particular moves to touch him back for the moment. Seungkwan softly touched the hair in front of his ears, then tucked a small strand of it behind his ear.

“You didn’t, but I really appreciate you for doing it.” he insisted, settling his hand to rest against the side of Hansol's neck now, their eyes meeting, Hansol finally reached out, resting a hand on Seungkwan's bicep, sliding up towards his shoulder after a moment.

“You should head in.” he urged, to which Seungkwan nodded and then pulled his other hand out of his pocket to wrap both of his arms around Hansol’s neck, pulling him into a hug. He had fished out a ₩10,000 bill from his pocket and was looking for a good way to sneak it onto Hansol’s person, this seemed the most efficient. But, in the midst of his slightly sneaky plan to pay the man back, he found himself melting into this hug. Hansol smelled of dior cologne and the wind of a spring day, he was warm, his hands fit perfectly against the small of Seungkwan's back. The shorter man curled slightly into the warmth and general comfort of his companion, soaking in what he could get from this moment.

It didn’t last too long, though, before Seungkwan was pulling back and loosening his grip. As he pulled back, he stopped for a moment and laid a delicate kiss against Hansol’s cheek, then fully released him. “Get home safely, okay? Let me know when you make it.” he insisted, watching the other as he started towards the door of the complex.

“Yeah, I will text you. Sleep tight Seungkwannie.” As Seungkwan went towards the door, Hansol noticed a bill slip from his pocket, perhaps, and onto the ground behind him. “Oh! You dropped-” the door to the complex beeped then swung open and quickly shut as Hansol picked up the bill, holding it up so he could see through the windows. “You dropped this!” he called, eyes going wide as Seungkwan comically shrugged, blew him a kiss, then spun on his heel and went to the elevators. Hansol would have followed him in, but you needed an access code or a key fabe to access the building.

“Boo Seungkwan…” He muttered to himself, then laughed and turned to walk off.

On Monday Seungkwan came to class at his usual time, an iced americano in hand and his earbuds in. As he approached the building for class, he was incredibly shocked to see Hansol walking towards the building from the opposite direction. He had huge headphones on over his head and was very obviously walking to the beat based on the poignant bounce to his step. Seungkwan hurriedly pulled out his phone, then, to check the time. To his relief, it wasn’t one minute to 8AM. In fact, it was a good fifteen before 8AM. He made it to the door first, and held it open as Hansol approached. The latter walked in then spun towards Seungkwan, quickly pulling his headphones down to rest around his neck.

“Hey.” he greeted, blinking in mild confusion at the look on Seungkwan’s face. “What?”

“You are fifteen minutes early.” Seungkwan stated, a teasing look of shock on his face. “I mean, is the sky falling?” he reached out to touch the back of his hand to Hansol’s forehead. “Do you have a fever?”

“No.” He took the hand on his head and instead just held it in his own. “I can be punctual too.”

“Yes you can.” Seungkwan couldn’t help but dote a bit, touching the shell of his ear before he started walking again towards class, the other falling into step alongside him thanks to their joined hands that hung comfortably between them.

“Oh, I have something for you. I will give it to you when we get into the classroom, it is in my bag.”

“Huh?” Seungkwan glanced over, finally registering that they were holding hands and dropping Hansol’s. He was affectionate but he didn’t want to be easy, that would make things less fun. Plus, with no label, it is best to not be doing too much PDA.

“You’ll see.” he simply said, the two of them now rounding into the room. Instead of sitting at his normal table, Hansol followed Seungkwan to his side of the room and put his bag in the seat opposite to the one Seungkwan sat in. He fully intended to uproot Jihoon to sit at this table, too. He then unzipped his bag and pulled out a little container that you would put condiments in to bring with lunch, popped off the lid and pulled a little paper crane. Not just paper, though. It was the ₩10,000  bill from yesterday, neatly folded into a little crane that he sat neatly on Seungkwan’s desk.

“What is… hold on.” Seungkwan picked up the crane, not realizing it was the bill yet. “This is so cute, did you fold this yourself?” he looked up at the other, who nodded slowly. “Wow! Hansol,” he puffed out his bottom lip at the crane, then his face fell flat when he finally realized it was the bill. “Hansol! Come on.” he whined, which immediately made Hansol start to giggle.

“You can’t give it back now. I worked so hard to fold it, you really wanna give it back?”

“I’m gonna give you a whack upside your head.” he threatened with a teasing raise of his hand, which only made Hansol’s smile grow. “It is cute, but I will find a way to get it back to you so don’t be too confident yet.”

Chan came in then, taking his seat next to Seungkwan and giving a rather surprised look to Hansol. “Oh! Vernon hyung, hey!” he greeted, quite a big smile on his face as he sat down. “Are you stopping by again tomorrow after class?” He took over conversation, allowing Seungkwan to softly toy with and admire the carefully folded bird in his hands. He loved it more than he could have even described.

-

They sort of became attached at the hip from there. They would walk out of classes together, hang out when they had free time outside of work and classes, and had gone on several more dates since then. Despite his previously mentioned apprehension towards PDA, Seungkwan very quickly became the one to be spotted hanging off of Hansol. He would stroke his hair when they were casually sitting next to each other, touch his ears out of habit, and hang onto his arm. Hansol would also be seen pulling Seungkwan in close when others started to touch on him, and was very casual when he was the one initiating affection.

It was nearing the end of the semester when Seungkwan finally wanted to put a label on things, though. It was obvious that they were exclusive, but Seungkwan had to be the one to make the first move.

“Hansol-ah.” Seungkwan spoke into the phone as the other end was picked up. It was a Friday, and he knew well that Hansol had an evening class that he was just getting out of around the same time that Seungkwan was wrapping up his rehearsal for the end of the year vocal competition.

“Hey Seungkwan.”

“What are you doing? Is class over yet?” Seungkwan asked, waving to his teammates and leaving the practice room to start walking towards his apartment.

“Yeah it is, how did practice go?”

“It was alright. I was told that the other schools are going really intense after our spring performance, so I'm starting to get a little nervous.” He admitted,

“Don’t worry about that. You guys have the best voices so it will be an easy win.”

“Look at you, how charming~” Seungkwan giggled into the line. “Anyway. I wanna have a date tonight.”

“Oh? Yeah, absolutely. I’ll need to go home and get cleaned up first though. Do you mind?”

“Just come to my place - I was thinking more of a stay at home date. I will make dinner and snacks and we can watch whatever movie you want.”

“Ohh I get to pick?” Seungkwan could hear the smile in Hansol’s voice, which made his own lips curl up into a smile too.

“Mhm~ so make it a good pick.” Hansol chucked a bit, which brought a chuckle out of Seungkwan too.

“Okay~ should I grab anything on my way over?”

“Candy? I think that’s essential for a movie.”

“Okay. I'll be there in a bit.”

“Okay, be safe.”

“Mhm, you too.”

Seungkwan hung up before they could be in an endless loop of ‘be safe’ and ‘i’ll see you soon’ because that has happened before. The practice space wasn’t too far from his apartment, so he arrived there first and started on making them a quick dinner. He and Hansol had many dinners together since they started talking, so he had a pretty good idea of the foods that the other liked.

Since his mom had visited not too long ago and brought a billion banchan, he settled on making kimchi fried pork belly that he could serve with all the sides. Thankfully Hansol was a bottomless food pit because he wouldn’t be able to eat all the sides by himself. The apartment he was living in was relatively nice for a college student. He had a bedroom, a living room, a little kitchen, enough space for a dining area, and he decorated it very well with plants and warm tones. His dining table wasn’t huge, but big enough for him to set out the stir fried meat and all the little sides as well as two bowls of rice and their utensils.

He was just finishing up as he heard the code for his door being typed in, then the door opened up and he turned to watch Hansol come in. He was wearing jeans, a letterman jacket from their school, and a simple white undershirt underneath. This was one of Seungkwan’s favorite looks on him. He also had a bag of candy from the convenience store in one hand.

“Hey.” Seungkwan greeted, a pleasant smile on his face as Hansol toed off his shoes and came inside. “How was class?”

“It was alright, finals are soon so the professor is losing his mind a bit.” He came closer to Seungkwan, wrapping his free hand around the small of his back. The latter naturally slid one hand to rest flat against his chest, the other coming up to hold the back of his neck. “It smells good in here, what did you make?”

“Kimchi fried pork belly.” he hummed, softly stroking his thumb against the hairline of Hansol’s neck. “And all moms sides from when she visited earlier this week.” he continued, his eyes on the man who looked at the food for a moment before looking back at Seungkwan. He had a longing look in his eyes - not unfamiliar to a pet that is begging for food - that made Hansol laugh a little and finally lean in to kiss him. It was slow, soft, full of a simple days worth of missing each other that somehow felt like an eternity longer.

“Thank you for cooking Seungkwannie.” He murmured after they parted, pressing another kiss to his forehead before pulling away. The satisfied look on his partner's face told him he had got it right. “I got a mix of candies because I wasn’t even sure what I wanted, but also got all of your essentials.”

“Thank you~” Seungkwan cooed, taking the bag and bringing it out to sit on it on the coffee table in his living room before coming back to the kitchen to sit across from Hansol, who was removing his big jacket and putting it on the back of the chair he was about to sit in.

Dinner was perfect. It turns out, to no one's surprise, that the two of them were both stressed about the upcoming finals and competitions they both had to participate in to advance to the next level of schooling. They both confirmed they would be attending each other’s competitions as well as talking about much lighter topics. Hansol showed Seungkwan some cat memes and Seungkwan retold funny stories from his favorite shows. It wasn’t a super grand date but it didn’t really have to be. When the plates had cleared up and they were both contently full, Seungkwan stood up and started to gather a stack of the dirty dishes.

“Did you pick a movie on your way over?” He inquired, bringing the dirty side dish plates to his sink for future him to deal with. For now he just gave them a pre rinse so nothing would dry to them and be impossible later. Hansol followed not too far behind, setting a second stack of plates in the sink and then wrapping his arms around Seungkwan from behind.

“Avatar two.” he hummed, softly swaying with Seungkwan who looked over at the table to make sure they hadn’t missed any dishes. Upon confirming they were good, he turned his head a bit more towards Hansol.

“Isn’t that like three hours long?” He shut off the water, reaching for a hand towel to dry off his hands.

“Mhm. Are you short on time? Should I pick something else?” he looked back to Seungkwan now, who smiled and leaned in to give him a soft peck to the jaw.

“Absolutely not, I’ve been wanting to rewatch it anyway.” he led them to the couch, grabbing one of the comfy blankets off the back of the couch and draping it over their laps before he started to search for the movie. Hansol was content to position the both of them in a comfortable cuddle spot in the meantime.

Upon finding it, Seungkwan turned it on and shifted his weight further into Hansol’s side. They hadn’t met when this movie was released, but of course Seungkwan knew how his partner felt about it. Hansol was a movie fanatic, any time he had a chance to ramble about a movie he would. It didn’t really matter if he loved it or hated it, either way he would have something to say about it. Avatar, and its sequel, were both on Hansol’s love it list, and he had mentioned that they should rewatch it once or twice.

Seungkwan did get sucked back into the movie, almost forgetting he had a sneaky side plan for the night. It was about an hour and a half in when he finally remembered. Operation ask Hansol to be your boyfriend was still on, and he was caught knee deep into Avatar. Nothing he couldn’t work around, though.

He was propped up against Hansol facing towards him, who was facing fully forward with an arm around his shoulders. Seungkwan’s head rested on Hansol’s shoulder so they were already very close. He started by reaching a hand over to softly dance his fingers along the skin of Hansol’s bicep on the arm that wasn’t wrapped around him. His touch started off as a gentle brush on his skin, but Hansol responded to the touch by shifting his hand to rest against Seungkwan’s thigh.

Seungkwan was a big fan of shorts as soon as he could when the weather warmed up whereas Hansol never gave up jeans. His hand rested on the skin of his thigh, warm and heavy. Seungkwan left it at this for a moment before he laid his whole hand on Hansol’s arm, softly trailing it up until it dipped away under the sleeve of Hansol's white t-shirt.

This prompted the man to shift his gaze away from the movie, which was a win in Seungkwan’s book. He lifted his head from Hansol’s shoulder to press a kiss to his lips slowly and softly. The arm wrapped around Seungkwan shifted and Hansol put his hand on the back of his neck, guiding him to a slightly more comfortable position where both of their necks were not twisted. This left Seungkwan slightly propped up on one of Hansol’s legs, shifted much more towards him than before.

Hansol was a sucker for Seungkwan, it was easy to get him distracted for things like this, so Seungkwan used that to his advantage a bit. Up until now the most they have done is making out like this. Seungkwan was the one who rejected advances to go further saying that he wouldn’t give it up unless they had a name for what they were. Hansol was ready to slap one on then and there, but Seungkwan remained a bit pensive. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to be official with Hansol, it was more that he wanted to have a more extended period of becoming comfortable with each other before they rush into calling anything a relationship.

Tonight was the night, though. Seungkwan removed the hand from his bicep to rest on the side of his neck, while the hand on his thigh gripped down and shifted Seungkwan’s leg to be fully straddled over Hansol's left thigh. Seungkwan broke the kiss, a snarky little smile on his face.

“Am I blocking the tv?” he asked, which made Hansol smile like a fool and shake his head.

“Not at all.” He leaned in again, this time aiming to place a few fluttering kisses to Seungkwan’s neck. He knew not to push it too far, they were both comfortable with this much as far as he knew. He tilted his head to the side, sliding a hand up into Hansol’s hair to prompt him to keep going. In response the kisses got a bit firmer, dipping down to the line of his t-shirt before shifting back up to his sharp jawline where he nipped the skin just below his jaw. A shaky breath left Seungkwan’s lips from the sensation, then Hansol was pulling back again.

To keep the tension up, Seungkwan pressed into another kiss and shifted his knee to “coincidentally” press against the length in those jeans. Hansol kept the kiss steady, but broke away when he began to throb a bit from the contact.

“Seungkwannie..” he muttered, “I don’t wanna make you uncomfortable but I’m gonna pop a boner real soon if your knee stays where it is.”

This made Seungkwan giggle a little bit, just the wording of it. They were very communicative with each other, and didn’t mind having fun and laughing in the midst of getting frisky together.

“Ah, sorry.” he removed his knee finally. “That reminds me, I have something for you.”

“What?” Hansol looked mildly surprised, which made Seungkwan grin and climb off of Hansol.

“Stay riiight here.” he patted his head, then went off to his bedroom. When he came back he had one hand behind his back even as he reclaimed his spot, straddled on one of Hansol’s strong thighs but sitting back towards his knee this time. “Close your eyes and hold out your hands.” He instructed, smiling as Hansol willingly did so even in the small space between them.

He had mulled over just how to ask Hansol to be his boyfriend for the last few weeks, but had been mulling over how to force Hansol to keep 10,000 won for even longer than that. His solution? A 10,000 won bill, with Seungkwan's pretty handwriting in a clear spot on the bill. It was a simple, straight to the point message written on there. ‘ Will you be my boyfriend?’ He sat the bill in the waiting hands, watching as Hansol opened his eyes and furrowed his eyebrows a bit down at the bill.

“This again?” he laughed, then finally noticed the writing on it. He brought it a bit closer to his face, then looked up at Seungkwan with wide eyes. “Seriously?”

“Mhm. you’re not gonna give that back to me, are you? It has a sweet little note from me on it. If you give it back to me then I’m gonna have no choice but to take it as a no.” He sighed woefully, watching as Hansol lit up into a soft bubble of laughter. He thought Seungkwan gave up on the ₩10,000 months ago, and never in his life expected it to be the thing that Seungkwan would use to ask him out.

“I’ll keep it this time.” he leaned in, kissing Seungkwan deeply. He kept the bill away from the both of them as he pulled Seungkwan’s body closer, allowing the kiss to get much more heated than before because this was a crazy moment for him. When it broke, he finally responded to make sure it was clear. “Yes I will be your boyfriend.” he said in the small space between their lips, his hand shifting to the end table to set down the bill as he spoke. Seungkwan was glowing with excitement now, pressing another deep kiss to his lips and hugging him firmly around his neck. His chest felt like it had a warm glow spreading through it, his heart thrumming with satisfaction. Sure, it wasn’t like much was different from what they were before. That may be true but it still felt different. He was someone’s and someone was his, that made him incredibly happy.

Hansol was definitely excited too, his warm hands sneaking up under Seungkwan’s shirt now that he was allowed to. The skin to skin on his back threatened to make him arch against the touch, pins of static below each of Hansol’s hands that sent electricity up his spine. Hansol was incredibly respectful and patient up until now. He never pushed it beyond what Seungkwan laid out because he knew that wasn’t the right thing to do. However, that isn’t to say that he didn’t want this up until now. And now that they were finally boyfriends, he was sure as hell going to go for it.

He pulled Seungkwan's hips down closer to his own with the hands on his back, the jeans on Hansol’s legs tightening up against the knee that pressed against his groin again. Hansol, too, wanted to give some pressure to his lover. He lifted up his thigh, pressing firmly between Seungkwan’s legs. It put a firm pressure on the man's balls, making him gasp against the kiss and properly arch his back a bit now.

That was undeniably attractive to Hansol. He broke the kiss, eyes calm and still on Seungkwan. “Seungkwannie?” he gently asked, not moving to add any extra pressure at the moment. The man in question opened his eyes, cheeks dusted with a pretty pink. “Can I please fuck you?” he asked, making that pretty pink immediately darken to a red.

“Please fuck me.” he responded, pressing himself further against the pressure between his legs. “Please~” he added on the second one because he liked the fire it lit behind Hansol’s eyes. His hands shifted, hooking under Seungkwan’s thighs and lifting him up with ease to transport him off to the bedroom where, hopefully, there were more supplies. He would get to those later, for now he had to see more of Seungkwan. He had been dying to see more of him for months.

He laid Seungkwan down on the bed, head on the pillows, himself positioned between his legs. Even like this Seungkwan looked divine. The pink in his hair from when they first met was long since faded, he now wore it continuously blonde. Hansol’s eyes scanned down now to the suggestive way the other man's legs rested over his own that were folded under his body, the mental image of him laying just like this about to take Hansol was enough to make the man throb in his pants. Seungkwan, however, was becoming shy under the intense gaze on him.

“You are so beautiful.” Hansol finally spoke, his eyes flicking back up to Seungkwan’s face. “Just like this, god you are so beautiful.” Seungkwan felt himself choking on his own words, his heart pounding in his chest as Hansol slipped a hand under his shirt and began to push it up. Unable to handle it, Seungkwan moved his arm to cover his face, tucking himself into the bend of his elbow. The hand under his shirt promptly halted and then retracted. Hansol leaned down now, kissing Seungkwan’s elbow, forearm, and carefully moving his arm so they could be face to face again. “Is it too much?” he gently worried, stroking a thumb against the skin of his forearm that he now held.

“I’m just embarrassed.” He admitted, shifting his arm so his hand was held in Hansol’s instead. “I don’t wanna end up being disappointing.” he continued, the other immediately shaking his head in disapproval.

“Absolutely not, Seungkwan. First of all, you are the most beautiful person I’ve ever laid eyes on. Second of all, I am obsessed with you and I promise whatever is under these clothes is going to make me lose my fucking mind.” He gently kissed the bridge of Seungkwan’s nose, then continued. “But if you are too nervous, we really don’t have to do anything. Don’t feel pressured.”

Seungkwan couldn’t help but grin from the way Hansol soothed him, sliding his free hand up into the back of Hansol’s hair and guiding him back down for a slow kiss after he spoke. “I really want this.” he assured, pecking him one more time. “Thank you for saying that..”

Hansol chuckled a bit, leaning his head down to kiss Seungkwan’s collarbone that poked out of his shirt. “It's the truth. You are so hard on yourself, I really want you to know how beautiful you are.” he stayed close as he pushed up Seungkwan’s shirt again, allowing him to feel the chill on his skin before he shifted again. Rather than pulling away and gawking down at him, he shifted his head and pressed one soft kiss to his chest. He shifted again, slightly further down, to kiss his nipple. The pointed shudder from his partner prompted him to follow up by taking the sensitive bud between his lips, his teeth teasing the outer part while his tongue flicked at the perky nip. He shifted towards the other one, his thumb pressing firmly against the one he had just got done teasing to make sure it stayed sensitive. For this one he took it into his mouth and sucked on it, his tongue messing with it and leaving it reddened and sensitive by the time he was done.

All of that drove Seungkwan crazy, his cock reacting strongly to the incessant stimulation and his lips betraying him as he moaned from the attention. His shorts now had a significant outline of a boner in them, his nipples irritated and sensitive to the touch. His body was intoxicating to Hansol. He had soft curves to his hips yet faint toned muscle along his stomach and chest, wide set ribs that really gave his body a masculine build. His hands moved even as his brain got lost in the details, shifting down to spread his thighs a bit wider, then they stroked up the soft insides of his legs. He looked up to Seungkwan’s face with a slight smirk.

“You are so fucking sexy, you know that? So soft, you let me move you around like it's nothing.” he praised, his hand subtly resting over Seungkwan's length as he spoke.

“Thank you.” his voice came out smaller than intended, hips subconsciously pressing himself a bit firmer against the hand. Hansol’s eyes widened a bit, then he smirked and groped him properly.

“Needy boy.” he cooed, a faint chuckle behind his words. He could watch seungkwan melt like this for hours, his pretty lips parted in satisfaction, his eyes holding much more relaxation as they met Hansol’s. He was letting himself sink into the moment because he knew it turned Hansol on - he could feel the way the other desperately twitched in the tight prison of his jeans.

“Lemme see you.” Seungkwan propped himself up to his elbows now, pushing Hansol's shirt up. The latter responded by swiftly taking off his white shirt and revealing the exact strong physique that Seungkwan expected him to have. He had always felt how tight Hansol’s pecs were every time he would touch his chest, or the definition in his abs every time he would pat his tummy. But having it all laid out in front of him like this did make his jaw drop a little bit, eyes eating up the man's form greedily. While he was propped up like this he took the chance to tug off his own shirt as well, then sat up further to start kissing Hansol’s neck.

He pulled Seungkwan in close as he did so, using this chance to look over Seungkwan’s shoulder at his back. It was smooth, a deep line down the center from his spine. His hands trailed along the soft skin before dipping down to take two nice handfuls of his ass, squeezing it nice and firm. The gasp of air that was sucked in right by his neck made him smirk a little, one hand sliding under the fabric to feel him up skin to skin.

Seungkwan pulled back now, finally pulling his legs back from where they had rested this whole time and instead shifting so he was on his knees, still facing Hansol. He kept their eyes locked as he unbuttoned his shorts and immediately had two hands on his hips holding him steady as he pulled them off to leave him in nothing but his tight black boxers that left very little to the imagination.

“Oh boo..” Hansol muttered, shamelessly taking in the sight before him. “Fuck- you are so hot.” he breathed, making Seungkwan bite back an embarrassed smile in favor of pulling his own little slutty move. He bent down, shifting his knees back so he could hoist his ass up in the air and bring his face down towards Hansol’s still clothed crotch. The poor guy above him had no clue if he should gawk at the ass that seemed like it wanted to break out of those boxers, or stare at Seungkwan’s face that was now mere inches from his dick. He, of course, did settle on the latter because two hands were on the waist of his jeans, unbuttoning them and fully unzipping them. Seungkwan, suddenly feeling confident and a bit greedy, didn’t even wait for them to be pushed further down. He instead reached into Hansol’s boxers, grabbing his length and pulling it out with no further hesitation. Hansol’s breath hitched, eyes locked on the insanely lewd scene between his legs.

His cock hung heavy right in front of his lover's lips, those big brown eyes looking up at him with a sultry look that he had never seen before. Just as he was about to make a comment, Seungkwan softly stroked his hand up the length, rubbing against the tip with his thumb which made Hansol just gasp a bit instead.

“Hansollie, you are big~” Seungkwan cooed, his warm breath brushing against the length before he leaned in, replacing his thumb with his slightly parted lips. The sight was almost too much for Hansol, who reached down to put a hand against his fluffy blonde hair.

“Fuck you are dirty.” he teased, not missing the smirk on Seungkwan’s lips before he took the length into his mouth, their eyes staying on one anothers. Hansols breath betrayed him with a slight moan as he sunk into the warmth of Seungkwan's mouth. Seungkwan shut his eyes in favor of focusing on the task at hand, sinking down onto the cock and hollowing his cheeks in as he sucked on it. The hand on his head gave praising strokes, his other one reaching back to feel Seungkwan's ass again in a shameless grab. “Oh fuck boo…” Hansol muttered in a deep tone that sent a spark of electricity through his cock, which was only aided by the hand on his ass.

He took it slow for a moment, but soon became eager to please the man, desperate for more of his praise. His head bobbed on the cock, flattening his tongue as he went down and flicking the tip when he would come back up. The pattern was smooth, until Hansol’s cock slipped out of his mouth with a lewd sound from Seungkwan that made Hansol feel dizzy. He took it as his chance to put two fingers under Seungkwan’s chin, lifting his gaze back up.

“Who taught you how to give such good head?” The question was entirely rhetorical, Seungkwan sitting up and wrapping his arms around Hansol’s neck.

“The toys in the drawer that you are gonna have to go to for the lube.” Seungkwan answered, throwing Hansol off a bit. He blinked a couple times, putting his hand against the small of Seungkwan's back. They hadn’t talked about dating history yet, it didn’t feel necessary if they werent “dating” even if they were exclusive up until this point.

“Do not tell me I am taking your virginity tonight.”

“Is that a problem?” Seungkwan seemed to tense up a bit in a way that answered his question tenfold. “I have used things… you know how long it took to get to this point with you, I never really got here with anyone else. I won’t be bad, I’ve practiced.” he tried to plead his case to Hansol who felt like he could pass out.

“Fuck, no. no no no Seungkwannie-” He held his cheeks now, eyes scanning over his face. “No, that is super fucking sexy to me. You are really amazing, and you are all mine. That blows my mind.” he scanned Seungkwan’s body, making notes of how he could make this ten times better to really impress his partner. “And you were ridiculously good at giving head, let me take care of you now.” He insisted, the reassurance making Seungkwan relax again.

“Are you sure? I don’t want you to think it is all about me just because it's my first. It doesn’t have to be cliche.” he assured, still moving under Hansol’s willing touches that laid him back on his back again.

“It isn’t cliche to spoil you right now. Honestly the better you feel and the more you moan the hornier I get, so it is a win for me too. Now raise your hips.” he instructed, sliding off Seungkwan's boxers when the other did lift his hips up. He then slipped a pillow under his hips and pushed on his lower stomach to get him to rest his hips again. “Do your hips feel comfortable?”

“Yeah? They felt comfortable before too…” Seungkwan wasn’t entirely sure what the pillow was for, which was the first giveaway so far that he was a virgin. Hansol could only smile at the  remark, stroking his thumb over Seungkwan's nude hip bone.

“They’re gonna need the extra padding, trust me.” he stood up then, to shimmy out of his pants and boxers before positioning himself back between seungkwan's legs. It was incredibly sexy to see the man fully spread open for him like this, waiting for Hansol’s next move with a beautiful need in his eyes. In all honesty he wanted to dive straight in and fuck him silly, but he also wanted to fuck him silly and have him be a hardly coherent mess by the end of it. He wanted Seungkwan to feel so good that he saw stars.

One of his hands stroked up from Seungkwan’s hips as he shifted backwards in the bed to be face to face with his cock. As one hand began to play with his sensitive nipple, the other took hold of Seungkwan's length and trailed his tongue up Seungkwan’s length with a pace that was almost painfully slow for the eager man. The sensations in two wildly different ends of his body made Seungkwan’s stomach feel a new type of pleasure. When you are doing everything yourself, you know what to anticipate. It still feels good, but you have to focus on making it feel good. This was different. Hansol was touching him and moving at a pace that Seungkwan couldn’t anticipate. He didn’t have to focus on anything, his head just getting lost in its own little cloud of feeling wildly good.

When he finally dared to look down, he saw Hansol taking him into his mouth, the hand on his nipple now sliding down. Two fingers pressed against his taint, then slid back towards his hole, just teasing around the rim as Hansol bobbed over his length with frustrating skill. “Oh fuck. Fuck- Hansollie.” Seungkwan’s legs began to shift, growing restless in their attempt to chase more pleasure. Hansol seemed well prepared, though, letting go of his cock and pinning down one of his thighs. He didn’t lose pace at all, eyes flicking up to watch Seungkwan’s desperate expression. He looked fully zoned in under those beautiful long eyelashes of his, Seungkwan thought he was insanely attractive right now.

“Hansollie please-” he whimpered now, his lover popping off of his length, which he took hold of again and stroked while taking his balls into his mouth. It was insane how good a blowjob could feel if you have never been blown before, which was marked by precum leaking out of Seungkwan’s tip. That was enough for Hansol, who pulled off his balls and trailed his tongue over his tip, cleaning off all the saltiness and then sitting up with no further attention.

“You are real vocal, huh. My little singer.” Hansol cooed, stroking his hands along his inner thighs then back to lift his legs up a bit. One of Seungkwan’s legs was now over his shoulder. The other spread wide to the side of his body. “Is the lube in the bedside stand?” he hummed, getting confirmation from Seungkwan in a slightly dazed nod. He couldn’t help but find it insanely cute, so he leaned down and gave him a kiss on his forehead. “How do you feel, pretty?”

“So good.” Seungkwan looked up to him, then pulled him in for a soft kiss. It was soft, tender despite everything else. “You are really good.”

“And I am all yours.” he leaned back again, gently stroking Seungkwan’s stomach in admiration. “And you are all mine. I must’ve been a saint in my last life.” Seungkwan couldn’t help but giggle from the comment, taking the hand on his stomach and lacing their fingers together. Hansol gave him a squeeze as he reached over to the bedside table, noticing first that the paper crane from all those months ago sat under his bedside lamp. Seungkwan had it there right next to a few of his little nicknacks, which made Hansol’s heart swell a little bit. He then opened the drawer to find the lube. Seungkwan had a small variety of toys, which did make him smirk a bit as he grabbed the bottle and closed the drawer without a second glance.

He put lube on one of his hands, using his fingers on that hand to rub it around and warm it up while his other hand reached down again to start stroking the man's still sensitive cock. Seungkwan couldn’t keep himself from whimpering as he was held again, having been so close before and then suddenly let go of. Hansol cooed back to him, a doting smile on his lips.

“Oh Seungkwannie, you are so cute it is gonna drive me crazy.” He couldn’t help but praise Seungkwan, it just came so naturally out of him. When he said he was obsessed with him earlier he really wasn’t joking. He kept the strokes slow and steady while his other hand reached down to rub two fingers against his entrance. He breached the two fingers in with relative ease. Seungkwan was tight but he had definitely prepped for this ahead of time, he could tell based on how perfectly groomed and clean he was. He was insanely turned on by the fact that seungkwan wanted him so badly, especially enough to plan all of this out.

The two fingers sinking into him along with the hand stroking him tantalizingly slowly made Seungkwan gasp again, a hand reaching down to grip Hansol’s firm biceps to ground himself a bit. Hansol sunk his fingers in all the way to his last knuckle then pumped them in and out in time with the hand on his cock, eyes attentive to Seungkwan’s pleased expression.

“A-ah.. seollie~” he whimpered again, his hips shifting to try to get more attention and relief. “Please, I need more. I need you.” If you asked Hansol if begging turned him on, he probably would have shrugged in indifference before. Now, though, he felt an intense swell of desire rush through his body. Seungkwan looked so raw and beautiful and he was begging to be fucked? It felt like a fever dream.

“Fuck boo-” Hansol hissed, curling his fingers and speeding up his hand a bit. He had only intended to get Seungkwan off once, not wanting to overwhelm him on his first time, but now he was just dying to see his boyfriend cum while he was still in a clear state of mind. “You want more? Talk to me, tell me what you want.” he spoke, pumping his fingers in time with his hand that had sped up. The man in question moaned now, his hips bucking up into the hand that was stroking him in sheer reaction to the sudden burst of attention.

“Oh fuck-! Hansol, please, please fuck me. I wanna feel you inside of me. I have been thinking about it for months, I wanna feel you please-” he begged, all shame in his body dissolved. This is not something you could get Seungkwan to admit being into, but he loved being bossed around. He was incredibly submissive in bed, despite his nippy nature in daily life. You also couldn’t get a confession like that out of Seungkwan in any other context. To admit that you have been fantasizing about getting fucked by your now boyfriend for months isn’t something he would normally do.

Hansol rewarded that with a third finger, skillfully massaging Seungkwan's insides with a nice even rhythm. His fingers would curl right near his prostate and then pull back and straighten out, only to push back in and repeat the same motion. Meanwhile his hand stroked off his cock with the same conviction he would use to get himself off. Those beautiful moans that Seungkwan was showering him in were enough to make him crazy.

It couldn’t last long though, not with how close Seungkwan was when they started this. He came with a moan that got choked in his halfway throat, his hips bucking up several times into Hansol's hand and his own hand desperately tightening on his boyfriend's arm. “Fuck! Fuck- oh fuck-” he begged the words, his hips finding stillness along with Hansol’s hands, who was absolutely mind fucked at the moment. That was the hottest thing he could have ever imagined seeing, Seungkwan was beautifully unashamed in his pleasure. It showed all on his face, in his desperate cries, and in the way his hips bucked and chased the pleasure to a finish. Hansol would have been satisfied to stop there, even.

He pulled his fingers out and leaned down as Seungkwan caught his breath a bit, pushing their lips together in a heated kiss. He didn’t want to touch his face because one hand was covered in cum and the other was covered in lube, so he settled on holding both of his hips with both hands as they kissed. The latter responded by wrapping both of his arms around Hansol’s neck, immediately opening his mouth into the kiss to make out with him. It was sloppy, full of months of sexual tension that they were finally getting to release. Their tongues clashed, soft huffs of air being passed between them when they would occasionally part. Seungkwan released one of his arms to reach down, taking hold of Hansol’s length and guiding it towards his entrance.

“Fuck me, I need you to fuck me.” Seungkwan insisted on the next breathless parting.

“You sure? You just came pretty hard.” Hansol asked, a bit breathless himself but now having taken hold of his cock with the lubed up hand to spread some of it over himself.

Please.” Seungkwan sounded wildly desperate, which tightened Hansol’s stomach in a knot. He nodded then, glancing down to make sure he was properly lined up before he went back into their makeout. He carefully pushed his hips forward and began to breach into the man, the kiss breaking again due to Seungkwan gasping and tilting his head back. Hansol stayed down close, leaning his head down to kiss Seungkwan’s neck instead. He started up by his ear and then went down, nipping a spot that would be fully visible the next day without much thought. Seungkwan whined a bit, which melted into a moan as Hansol sucked on his skin and sunk even deeper into him.

“Oh god boo-” Hansol groaned against the skin of Seungkwan’s neck, bottoming out in him finally. “You are so tight, pretty. You feel so good~” his endless praise only continued, hips grinding against Seungkwan’s so he could feel just how deep Hansol was inside of him. It worked, too, the smaller man choking out a moan.

“Holy shit-” he gawked, almost wanting to whack Hansol for chuckling at his shock. Hansol didn’t stay there for long before he started moving, pulling back a bit to get a better angle to control the pace. Plus, a birds eye view of his beautiful boyfriend getting fucked was exactly what he needed. The fresh hickey on Seungkwan’s neck, smears of cum on his belly, and his own cock pumping in and out of the man at a steady pace to start. Seungkwan, who was beyond sensitive at this point, threw his head back in utter pleasure from even this slower pace. Each thrust felt like it sent ice through his body, pushing him deeper into overstimulation one pump at a time.

Hansol, on the other hand, was just getting started and his boyfriend's reactions were only serving as fuel to the fire. He shifted his hips between a thrust to aim more downwards for Seungkwan’s prostate and then started to fuck him faster. He couldn’t help but be a bit impatient at the moment. Seungkwan had turned him on and looked so fucking pretty when he came, he wanted to see it again as soon as he could. Plus, he wanted to see the man’s reaction when he got his first load. The thought alone made Hansol speed up just a touch more, his lips parting and soft moans leaving his lips.

Seungkwan was wrecked. Hansol’s moans could hardly be heard in the mix of the cries that came from the overwhelmed man. Tears were welled in his eyes, threatening to spill at any moment, particularly when his prostate would be rammed with such clean accuracy from Hansol. He began trying to ground himself a bit, gripping the sheets and curling his toes, but even that couldn’t save him. Even untouched he knew he was about to cum again.

“haa-hans- oh~ oh fuck- hansol~!” Seungkwan begged the man's name with each breath, his hips fucking back against the attention until they suddenly halted and he was cumming again with a desperate cry. “Oh god~!” he sobbed, those tears from before finally spilling out. Hansol watched, absolutely absorbed by the way his lover reacted but also knowing he couldn’t drag this on for much longer. Seungkwan wouldn’t be able to keep on after this one. He grabbed the back of the leg that was over his shoulder and bent it towards Seungkwan’s chest now, angling himself downwards and absolutely pounding his hole now. Seungkwan, still in the midst of an orgasm, lost his fucking mind as expected. His cock managed to release even more cum, just a few more weak strands with the intensity of his partners fucking. His knuckles were white, balled around the sheets and his hips unable to move.

All it took for Hansol to finish was when Seungkwan finally looked at him again, his eyes dazed and teary, bottom lashes wet from having cried a bit, cheeks and nose red. He looked divine - it made Hansol gasp, his hips sputtering and losing a bit of their coordination as he came inside of the man. Seungkwan's jaw dropped from the sensation, gasping an absolutely lewd sound that made Hansol chase his orgasm just a bit before he finally slowed down and then came to a halt and carefully pulled out.

“Oh boo…” Hansol breathed, sliding his hands along Seungkwan’s thighs. The latter turned his head, a bit too dazed for words at the moment. Hansol understood well that he would have to take care of the beautiful mess he made, and he didn’t mind one bit. He released Seungkwan’s thigh, letting him relax his legs back down around either side of Hansol's hips. He then leaned down again, giving soft kisses to Seungkwan’s jaw and nudging his nose against his temple. “Bboo, are you okay?” he gently fussed, massaging his hips.

Seungkwan turning his head back towards Hansol was his cue to move back a bit, meeting his eyes. He wanted to wipe his tears away, but both of his hands were still a bit dirty and he didn’t want to get that on his face.

“I love you.” Seungkwan mused, his arms wrapping around his boyfriend’s neck. “I love you so much.”

Hansol was frozen for a moment, searching his features for any traces of confusion or haze. But, all he saw was the pretty boy he had grown all too fond of the past several months. When he realized that, all he could do was smile. “I love you too. I love you more than you could possibly imagine.” he assured, giving him a delicate kiss. “And I'm gonna take care of you, boo. Right now and in the future, too. I’m gonna pamper you and treat you the way you deserve. I seriously love you so much.”

Seungkwan felt his heart swelling from the sincerity, eyes welling up with tears again. A lot was going on, he had finally lost his virginity, he was physically exhausted, and he was wildly in love. All he could do was kiss Hansol one more time before pulling him in for a tight hug around his neck. Hansol shifted his hands, hugging Seungkwan’s waist and just sitting there for a comfortable moment. They both needed a second to recover before anything else could happen - so they let it be now.

When it was finally time to move, Hansol merely stood up with Seungkwan in his arms, carrying him off to the bathroom so they could get right in the shower and get cleaned off. He was delicate with Seungkwan’s body in the shower, which made the other feel embarrassed enough to come back to his old self and scold his boyfriend playfully. It was the Seungkwan that Hansol knew all too well, so he merely smiled at the way he was being told off. He loved it, truthfully. When they made it back to bed, which Hansol had stripped for now, just using a couple blankets on top of the sheets as an improvisation, he held Seungkwan close that whole night. It was as if they both mutually fell asleep at the same time, a soft even silence filling the air next to their peaceful breathing.

The last thought Seungkwan really remembered having before he fell asleep was that he was safe. Nothing could hurt him in this beautiful bubble. It is just him and Hansol at the moment, and that is all that he wanted anymore.

-

If he wasn’t fully back to normal the night before, Seungkwan was definitely back to his usual self the next morning. He woke to a mildly irritating pain in his hips and ass, which wasn’t noticeable until he had turned towards Hansol’s sleeping figure. The motion of the turn was what alerted him to the sting, and made him sulk a bit to himself.  He chose to ignore it, though, in favor of looking at his finally-official-boyfriend. His face always looked like a handsome statue when he slept, which was a wild contrast to the way his hair managed to stick up in every direction around his head.

Seungkwan reached down, stroking his fingers through some of the mess to smooth it back down to normal. Hansol stirred from the touch, then moved closer to its source to bury his face against his chest. Seungkwan curled his head down in response, nestling his nose against the crown of Hansol’s head. Hansol was passively clingy on the regular - pulling Seungkwan away from groups of guys, moving peoples hands off of Seungkwan when they would touch him - so this was one of Seungkwan’s favorite private little mannerisms. No one had to see these small moments between them, it was theirs alone.

“Bononie-” Seungkwan whispered after a few minutes. “Hansol-ah.” he slid a hand down to gently squeeze his shoulder, which worked to open Hansol’s eyes. He groaned a bit, though, always a fuss to wake up.

“Are we late?” Hansol asked in his sleepy daze, which made Seungkwan’s heart race so hard he almost wanted to bite his boyfriend. He instead just squeezed him a bit tighter, smiling against his hair.

“It's Saturday, my love.” Seungkwan slid his hand back to Hansol’s hair, stroking his fingers through it. “I just wanted to hear your voice again.” he admitted, shutting his eyes once again. “Talk to me.”

Hansol blinked a couple of times, then just found himself smiling despite the fact that he was just woken up for this. “How do you feel bboo-yah?” Hansol finally responded, sliding a hand down to rest on Seungkwan’s hip. “Are you sore?”

“Mmmhm… you went really hard at the end, I should have known your strong ass thighs would leave me a mess. But… I don’t think I’ve ever felt this good. I am happy, and I am yours, which I’m so very lucky to be able to say.” Seungkwan was doing much more talking at this rate, but he honestly couldn’t help it. Being corny for Hansol was his favorite thing.

“I can be more gentle next time if you want, I don’t want to hurt you.”

"No way, I enjoy the sting.” he argued, pulling back now to get a look at his boyfriend. His eyes were coming up from their sleepiness, meeting Seungkwan’s with the same focus and adoration as always. “Kiss me.”

Hansol, ridiculously subservient to his lover, leaned in for a kiss as he was asked. It was soft, lazy, tasted like morning breath yet neither of them really cared. This precious little morning bubble meant the world to Seungkwan, he couldn't wait to do this over and over again. When the kiss broke, Hansol finally sat up, laying a hand on his boyfriend’s tummy subconsciously. The latter responded by taking his hand with both of his own, toying with his fingers.

“Chan is gonna kill me.” When Hansol looked at him again, Seungkwan continued. “We agreed to meet up to dance together today then get lunch with Seokmin and Soonyoung. I wasn't sure what would happen after I asked you out, so I agreed to it.”

“Ooohhhh you're boned. Maybe harder than last night.” The expression on his face was cartoonish remorse for his lover.  “If you can't keep up he's gonna kill you.”

Seungkwan pushed himself to sit up, hugging onto Hansol with a groan of acknowledgment. “I knowwww. Say your goodbyes, I'm a dead man walking.”

Hansol just chuckled a bit and held Seungkwan closer, resting his cheek on his head. “It was nice knowing you Boo Seungkwan.” He fully played along which made Seungkwan giggle and pull away to finally climb out of bed. He made his way off to the bathroom, flicked on the light, and gasped at his reflection.

“Chwe Hansol!” He yelled from the bathroom, poking his head out to see the man in question coming out of the room. “Are you a vampire!? Do you see this!!?” He pointed to his neck, which Hansol looked at with a little nod, holding back a laugh.

“My bad”
