ADDRESSING THE HEIR TO THE NINTH HOUSE, OR PRESUMED EQUIVALENT: PALAMEDES SEXTUS, HEIR TO THE SIXTH HOUSE, PRESENTS HIS COMPLIMENTS TO THE NINTH AND REQUESTS A FORMAL ARRANGEMENT WHEREIN HIS MASTER WARDEN AND CAVALIER APPRENTICESHIP UNDER THE NINTH FOR FOUR YEARS IN EXCHANGE FOR THE SIXTH’S SERVICES*.
*Details to be discussed. Please turn to back page.
Timeframe variable. Services and agreements variable upon the Ninth's request. An internship of this caliber is highly unprecedented and likely unheard of, but any information valuable to the Ninth and into the Tomb will remain undisclosed upon request; Primary experience and study is required as the Master Warden has already decided upon such being his final thesis prior to his end studies.
No takebacks, no denials. Pleased to meet you.

So far, I have sent two requests to the Ninth under my name: both were sparsely worded - either from tight formality or apprehension- but I gained valuable knowledge from both.
- They gave the impression of annoyance.
- Overruled on behalf of being subjective.
The first response reveals the elusive Ninth Heir is titled Reverend Daughter Harrowhark Nonagesimus. The Sixth cannot access any further records sooner than 50 years, and I fail to access those because they are being held hostage by Citizenry. High chance they refuse to give it to me because they don't want to admit they reused the flimsy for zine reprinting.
- The Reverend Daughter formally rejected Palamedes’ request. Psychometry findings are appended at the end.
- Thank you, Cam. - I'm very kind.
A small vandalism in the corner of the flimsy was found upon further inspection, prompting us to try the Reverend Mother.
The second letter, addressed to the Reverend Parents of the Ninth, was begrudgingly accepted after my due charm to what is clearly an adult who recognizes my potential.
- Both letters strictly stuck to the required House formatting for a formal repondez. No formal individual comments, personal or otherwise, were noted.
Again, the vandal made an appearance through a smug remark. How they knew about this happening intrigues me - maybe a Ninth inhabitant privy to the House's records / inner workings?
- If this was a vandal, they would not need access to the House's records. We would know the caliber of the vandal better if we ever know how often the Reverend Parents interact with their people.
- We will keep an eye on any future letters for their commentary.
Clauses are to come, apparently. Cam and I have considered worst-case restrictions they would require as to host us in, but we come up short with no sufficient evidence as to why. - Other than ‘this would suck’.
We only hope they don't ask for too much funding. The first year's stipend is far too stingy to achieve anything beyond bare sustenance, and the Fifth is a better house to seek aid from anyways.
The Ninth never struck me to be a House that appreciates assistance, though. Which makes this opportunity all the more fun.

Appendix
The Reverend Daughter's letter contained fine traces of osseous matter. I observed over 50 signatures, all between three to four hundred years old. The writing itself is dark residue from aged bone char. Thanergetic signature was irrelevant but is noted to be ~20 years old (mode) anyways. The end of the flimsy was signed in blood, presumably the Daughter's; it was 29 days old. Contextual : the shuttle travel time from the Sixth to the Ninth House is 31 days.
The Reverend Parent's letter contains much of the same signatures, save for the sign off: Their names were printed in bone char.
The mystery annotations on the letters were not written, but instead scratched into the flimsy. No anomalies were found about it. - It had very bad handwriting.
ADDRESSING THE MASTER WARDEN AND CAMILLA THE SIXTH.
THE NINTH HOUSE WILL AGREE TO HOST THE SIXTH UNDER THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
- Your duration of visit will not extend past a month and NOT a day longer.
- Only His Master Warden and Hand may attend. You will NOT bring any other company.
- Your bags will be thoroughly inspected upon settling and loading every time. someones paranoid
- You will sleep in the bowels of the Ninth. thats anywhere this place is the dregs of all dregs
- You will attend the Ninth’s rituals and customs.
- You tell noone of what you witness. The Ninth is not to be made a spectacle of; this will be held under the Vow of the Sewn Tongue.
- You will NOT verbally question your observations. Questions will be made in flimsy, via formal inquiry, to the Reverend Father’s office.
- The Reverend Father and Mother are under a vow of silence and therefore all inquiries WILL be delegated to the daughter; her word will be final. Starting upon departure to the Ninth. controlling much
- You will NOT question the Reverend Daughter’s methods.

- You will NOT insult the Reverend Daughter. WE GET IT

TO THE NINTH:
THE SIXTH ACCEPTS THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS. Details on back.
We politely request a timetable of the Ninth's shuttle periods, as to optimize transport and future coordination for package delivery. We would hate to interrupt a schedule.
The proposed date of arrival is on August 6th, 90 days from date of sending. If agreed upon, the Sixth will arrive at this date then depart after 30 days, per annum.
Palamedes Sextus, Heir to the Sixth and Master Warden
and
Camilla the Sixth, Cavalier Primary and Warden's Hand of the Library
SIXTH,
THE NINTH REJECTS THIS ARRANGEMENT. SEE DETAILS ON BACK. SEE TIMETABLE ON PAGE TWO.
The first clause in the conditions mentioned prior specifically state that your visit will NOT exceed a month. The Ninth suggests you review your comprehension before reading the timetable, as you clearly misinterpret simple print.
Priamhark Noniusvianus, Reverend Father
and
Pelleamena Novenarius, Reverend Mother
TO THE NINTH:
We believe you misunderstand. The Sixth’s intention is to stay on the Ninth for 30 days. Nothing in the contract dictated the month’s stay was one-time; I, personally, interpreted it as per annum and accepted your conditions as such.
Before you criticize the Sixth’s reading comprehension we suggest you review your fine print. Perhaps with these scheduled visits we will be able to learn from one another.

Everyone,
We got them.
I knew taking TLSH-303 had its benefits.
- Contextual: TLSH-303 is Third Legal Stipulation History, infamously known for holding every moment the Third got away with something they should not have.
Victory aside: I wonder how old the Reverend Daughter is, considering she seems to be carrying the trial of speaking for both herself and her parents through letter while feeling the need to distinguish between title.
- This is brash hypothesis so far. I remain skeptical but the Warden raises a valid point.
- Evidence is as follows: the Ninth has only communicated through formal patchwork phrases and indented graffiti; difference in diction between that of the Reverend Daughter and her parents remain nonexistent. The clauses become hyperspecific and targeted towards- or from- the Reverend Daughter. - Referenced from Mystery Vandal. Most notably, as the list of conditions extended it became more obvious that whoever was writing it did not know of standard Inter-house ground rules at all.
- Telling any other house citizen not to enter the tomb is remarkably juvenile.
- Any self-respecting scholar under any house would think it to be common sense that a study would take a few years, if lucky. Therefore the agreement must have been writ using the Reverend Parents as an overarching authority.
- Palamedes overestimates the other houses’ capabilities of caring about the scholarship process. Depending on the age of the Reverend Daughter, reasons for her masking range from pettiness to inner house politics.
Cam thinks Harrowhark (feels as if I’ve been cursed, saying it without title) gets to the letters first, and hasn’t bothered to undergo the extensive process of asking her parents. I think she is reluctant to admit I found my way through despite her clear distaste at the Ninth letting in any outsiders.
The timetable given to us was sparse: A designated cargo shuttle heads for the Ninth twice a month carrying various leeks, seeds, flimsy, etc. On seven separate occasions, orders for what I will candidly describe as sexual cohort propaganda were requested. Despite their prompt rejection, our friendly Vandal seemed to have them anyway.
- The fake publication kind. The kind that Kiki collects.
- Contextual: Kiki is Camilla’s sister.
The next shuttle is due to depart for the Ninth in 12 days. If we are to pay our mystery commenter a boon, Cam’s going to have to call in a favor to call in an order to call in a ship stopover. As far as the Sixth goes, this isn’t the worst chain of command we’ve had to refer to.
