Summary:

Fate is a strange matter. Some think it is unchangeable, but others find that our actions are what shape tomorrow. Finding a strange object one day, Izuku finds the power to change not only his fate, but the fate of others. Now watch as he wields it, the Xenoblade. (Cross-posted on FF.net)

Notes:

This is an idea I’ve had in my head for a while. With the release of the final part of the Xenoblade Saga. I feel that it’s time that I put this idea to pen and paper. The story of the Conduit and the people that were affected by its power is a tale I will always remember. Now let’s see how the world of Heroes reacts to a tool that can change fate.

Chapter 1: Prologue

Prologue

 

“If you could change fate, would you do it?”

 

I didn’t know it at the time, but that question would define the path I chose.

 

“I’m sorry, but I can’t in good conscience encourage you to be Hero. I don’t need another innocent life snuffed out on my conscience.”

 

I knew why he said that, how irresponsible it would be to tell a quirkless kid to risk their life… but it still hurt. It hurt, hearing those words from my hero.

 

“What the fuck are you doing, fucking Deku?!”

 

“I’M SAVING YOU! KACCHAN!!!”

 

Yet it was on that day that I decided to truly answer the professor’s question. To truly take my fate into my own hands. The day I decide to truly wield it.

 

“What is that?!”

 

“A sword?”

 

“Is that a quirk?!”

 

He said with it I could decide my own fate and even change the fate of others. This strange sword, this Xenoblade, could let me become a hero. And on that day, I decided to truly take control of my fate.

 

“With this, I’ll change our fates!”

 

That day was where my story began.
