Riku stayed silent as he rubbed small circles on the back of Tamaki who was crying like a child. It may sound like the typical Tamaki, but it's there's a valid reason as to why he's being like this.
He understood how the younger felt, but he won't say that he does entirely . Because, imagine your mother being 6 feet underground, your dad behind bars and your sister leaving you. That sucks.
Riku knows that the younger has no one by his side, no one but himself and IDOLiSH7. "Rikkun… It's lonely… I feel lonely …" Tamaki whined, still crying with his knees up to his chest.
The redhead hugs him gently, not stopping his hand rubbing small circles on the younger's back.
"I know Tamaki… I know…" he whispers softly. He lets Tamaki cry on his shoulder, he doesn't mind. His friend needs someone to lean on too. Tenn… Aya… They chose Kujo.
He knows it's for a good reason… But at this point, he doesn't want to keep suffering like this… He doesn't want Tamaki suffering like this.
It they want to be family… Then they can, Riku won't stop them… Tamaki will no longer stop them… They can do as they will. Tightening his hug around the younger teen, Riku says, "Tamaki… I'll be your big brother from now on…"
The baby blue haired teen's body stopped shaking and looked at him with an expression of confusion and doubt, "What are you… Trying to say, Rikkun?"
A small, reassuring smile forms on his lips, showing that he is willing… Wants to be an older brother figure towards Tamaki, because Tamaki doesn't deserve a sad, miserable life.
"If that's okay with you… I'll be… I'll be your family ," he replies, urging the younger to call him the way he wants to. Riku can see it… He can see Tamaki's desire to call him, 'nii-san'. The way he sees Riku, an older brother, like he sees Tamaki, a younger brother of his.
A smile plasters on the baby blue haired teen's face, "Okay… Nii-chan…" Riku's heart flips in joy.
The other members who heard this, outside Tamaki's room couldn't help but smile. They deserve this and they'll fight, even the gods who dare try to break these two frie- brothers apart.
"Nii-chan! Haru!" Tamaki exclaims with a bright smile, running to where his brothers are. Riku giggled and Haruka sighed. They've gotten used to their brother being late.
They start walking to where they planned to hang out since they don't see each other a lot, times like these are rare, so when they're all free. They make it special.
"Riku-niisan, Tama-niisan…"
The two looked at him, humming confusedly and looking down at him. They only see him pouting enviously, his hands inside his pockets, "Why can't I just… Move into your dorm???"
Tamaki ruffles his hair, "Maybe that's because we're required to stay in our respective dorms?" Haruka only whined in response. He didn't like being away from his brothers a lot.
"Don't worry! Summer is near and we can use that to spend time around each other, right?" Riku proposed the idea. The green haired teen only huffed and Tamaki cackled.
"WHATEVER! Let's just hurry to our destination!" Haruka stomps his way to the restaurant with the other two following him, giggling.
Zool and IDOLiSH7 were invited for a collab interview by Mr. Shimoka. "Haruka-san, Tamaki-san and Riku-san! I have a question!" Mr. Shimoka basically yelled.
Iori cringed, "So loud…" he grumbled. The three turned to the man, waiting for the question, "What is it?" Riku asks with a curious smile.
"You three seem close, is there anything we're missing?" Mr. Shimoka asks, crossing his legs, curiosity written all over his face. "Ah that, we're brothers," Haruka replies.
The audience, staff and Mr. Shimoka's mouth practically dropped to the ground, stunned. The idols sweat dropped at their reaction. "Was that too much for you to handle?" Touma asks.
"Ah! No no! I'm just curious on how you became brothers,"
"Papers. But we decided to keep our current surnames," Tamaki replied with a shrug and the two nodded. The man hummed, understanding what the situation was about and decided not to ask any further.
Tenn and Aya stared at the television, their eyes wide at the information. They can tell, Riku… Tamaki… Haruka aren't lying… They're brothers.
It feels like they've been hit by a bat on the head and stabbed in the heart. It hurts.
