“Hello, my beautiful, beautiful Shuri.” Cha’ah Toh greets, back-hugging his wife and giving her a kiss on the cheek.
Shuri instantly smiles, quickly turning around to hug her husband and kiss the smile off of his lips. “Not darling anymore, my love?” He chuckles and she kisses the laugh, giggling like she truly got it.
He inhales and he grins when their room smells of her, he pulls her closer, “I miss calling you beautiful .”
“You just did before you left earlier.”
“That was a compliment, darling. ” He drags and Shuri giggles, shy as her husband is intensely staring at her lips. She grips on his shoulders and kisses him by the tongue first. He smirks, holding her upright as her knees literally turn to jelly as they kiss.
He carries her to the bed, laying her down and she immediately hugs his neck. “I don’t think there’s a difference.” She hugs his waist with her legs, laying him down on her left.
He props his head with his hand and Shuri delicately wraps her hand around his neck, not denying how it turns her on with how heavy her breathing is getting. “There is,” he tells her and she thumbs his Adam’s apple, she mouths at his jaw, “you’re beautiful.”
“Huh?”
He chuckles, almost lying on his back. Shuri smiles because he sounds enthralling, pulling his head closer to her by his neck, he bites her cheek gently and she giggles; feeling lightheaded and dizzy with her husband’s affections. “I said you’re beautiful.”
“Okay, you’re beautiful yourself.” She tells him, he grins, bumping his nose to hers and then licking her lips after.
“Thank you, my darling.” He says, always flattered by her compliments. She grins, pulling his face by his cheeks to give his lips a lick too. “But my beautiful, beautiful Shuri… that’s an endearment.”
She rolls her eyes, groaning, “What a mouthful.”
He raises a brow and she stops an inevitable smile, he looks extra handsome when he is questioned by her and her only, “You’re a mouthful.”
She laughed a little too loud, realizing her sound, she covers her mouth with the back of her hand, giggling but Cha’ah Toh gently removes her hand. A fit of laughter bursted out of her.
“You’re so fucking vile.” She said through her laughters and he rolled his eyes, cheeks hurting because he hasn’t stopped smiling once in the presence of her wife.
“And we have two kids because of it.”
She clicks her tongue and he snickers at the embarrassed yet annoyed look on her face, he can’t wait to turn it to a pleasured and pleading one later on. “Because I’m a mouthful.”
He makes a guttural sound as he adjusts himself to tower over her more, and she almost begs for him to fuck her senseless, that if it weren’t for their youngest baby, she would cried for him to put another one in her.
She kisses his neck and he corners her head, she massages his head, resting her elbows on his shoulders and he dips to kiss her tongue with his. “Have you even tasted yourself?”
Her eyes almost close, staring at the wall like staring at nothingness as he glides his tongue across her jaw, her breathing indeed heavier now that he lays at her chest, “You make me taste myself.” She answers, a weak whisper.
She gasps when he hugs her waist, hands on her butt. “Oh yeah?”
He squeezes them, licking and nibbling on her neck. “H-hey,” he looks up at her, she leans and he gives her lips a kiss she’s looking for, “what if Yaxil walks in?”
He smirks and she hugs his head, a sudden wave of longing for her husband who has been home in her arms wash through her, he lets her. “She’s too busy with her Tuma and her shells.”
“Ostra?”
“Well, your eager son just gave me a hurried kiss because his Mora is quote-unquote training him.” He answers, a particular fond smile when he does.
She smiles, kissing his forehead and then rubbing her nose to his messy curls. “Okay, but…”
His eyes close, “Hm?”
“Kiss me first.”
It opened and it looked like he just blinked. He nods and Shuri giggles, chest and stomach feeling light yet her toes curl and she presses her thighs together, “Of course, my beautiful Shuri.”
She rolls her eyes and he grins, he sees the fondness she holds for him, “You heard that from Druig and you never, ever shut up about it.”
He shrugs and Shuri thinks he’s the coolest man ever, she grins, copying her husband. She hugs his head tighter and she finds it adorable that his cheeks are squished, reminding her that both their children got it from him, “What can I say? He’s my idol.”
“Oh my god,” she expresses, “I thought it’s Ikaris.”
He clicks his tongue, slightly raising himself so he can still be in her embrace, “Hey,” Shuri feels the impending jealousy, “what did I tell you about me being the only god that comes out of your mouth when we are together?”
“You are so immature.” She pulls him in a kiss.
But he pouts, sighing audibly as he lays on her chest again, as though sulking. Yup, Yaxil got it from him.
“Aw, baby, come on. I was just kidding.” Calling him, a 500-year old god-king and father, a baby has always been a privilege she likes abusing. She cups his cheeks, “Hey, I don’t mean it.”
He was about to copy her expression of a pout and eyebrows scrunched upwards but he rolled his eyes instead.
She sighs, smiling as she kisses him. “I can’t even get annoyed when Yaxil is acting like this too.”
He grins, capturing her lips and she squishes his cheeks more, “Sighing?”
“ Very loudly.” She dramatically adds, deliberately omitting that their daughter can’t even say coherent words nor speak straight. He sighs with content this time, closing his eyes and leaning his face to hers. She feels shy with his neediness of her touch despite hugging him with her whole body already. “K, can I have my kiss now?”
He laughs and it warms her heart so she giggles, “Your wish is my command, my beautiful, beautiful Shuri.”
Her giggles turned to another fit of laughter and it permeated the room.
A small, baby Yaxil was about to enter the room but all she heard was her father’s endearment to her mother, along with said mother’s delighted laughter.
She covered her mouth so that her small fit of giggles won’t be heard as she walks away from her parents’ room.
“Alright, we will ask your mama Shuri when she returns.” Cha’ah Toh tells Ostra who beams at him, excited at having his mother’s permission to be with his father on his daily swims around the capital.
“Can Yaxil come with us?!” Ostra asks, his eagerness through the roof that he forgot his baby sister is still fragile.
Their father doesn’t have the heart to turn him down so he plays along, he looks at his daughter who is busy with her shells, jades, and pearls. “Yaxil, do you want to come with us?”
She turned to him with a small ‘o’ forming in her lips and he couldn’t help but to smile, my babies are the cutest. “Papa?”
“Sorry, I took long.” Shuri enters the room, her husband and her children’s faces brightened.
“Here comes my beautiful, beautiful wife.” Cha’ah Toh says without fail and Shuri, without fail, is flustered to the point of just standing still. She can’t get used to it, even before when he first used that endearment because of Druig, and they don’t even have kids yet at the time!
“Oh, shush it, you.” She says, but he just smiles, taking both her hands as their kids watch how their parents shower each other with adoration.
“My beautiful, beautiful Shuri.” He coos and her cheeks warm.
She cups his cheeks and leans down to give him a peck. Yaxil’s eyes widened, not because of the kiss but because of the endearment. She claps her two hands together so they will look at her.
“Mama beautiful!” She repeats and the three of them are equally shocked because she said it without stuttering or pausing, her smile widens, “Mama beautiful!”
A soft oh came out of Shuri’s lips and Cha’ah Toh knows not to concentrate on her feelings at the moment so he faces their daughter, “Yes, she is, because she’s my beautiful,” he leans to her, rubbing his nose against her little one and she giggles, “beautiful Shuri.”
“Papa again!” She asks, hearts vomiting from her eyes, “Papa, say again!”
He looks at Shuri who smiles at him knowingly and he chuckles, letting go of his wife’s hands to cup Yaxil’s fat cheeks.
“Papa?” She asks despite giggling because of the warmth of her father’s palms.
“My beautiful, beautiful Yaxil.” The confusion in Yaxil’s face is replaced by a wide smile and he kisses her. He turns to Ostra and cups his cheeks too. “My beautiful, beautiful Ostra.”
His son giggles, “No, papa, I am strong!” Shuri laughs and he beams, happy that it got approval from his mother.
“You are almost five.”
“And you are five-hundred years old.” He snickers when Shuri slaps a hand to her mouth because of a laugh.
He frowns, petty towards his own son, “You once called your mama as my love when you were Yaxil’s age.”
Ostra frowns, furrowing his little brows and Cha’ah Toh smiles, seeing so much of Shuri in that expression, “Well, you kept calling her that before!”
Shuri caresses her husband’s shoulders, “He’s right, my love. ”
He sighs, “Yeah, you’re right.” He tells his son who just grinned. He leans to kiss Ostra but the said son feigns putting up a fight by pushing his father’s face away.
“Ew! Yuck!”
Yet he also pouted so that his father could peck his lips. Yaxil chuckles. Their parents sit down with Shuri still hugging her husband by the shoulders, nothing new for the two kids.
“But papaaa,” Ostra drags, “don’t call me beautiful, only mama and Yaxil are beautiful!”
“How can I? You got your mother’s face.” Shuri grins, playfully biting his pointed ear which makes Yaxil giggle.
Ostra blinks, “But– but mama is beautiful.”
The word made Yaxil look at her brother, then she smiles when she looks at their parents, “Mama beautiful!”
Shuri’s heart swells, feeling soft, loved, and appreciated like it’s the first time when it always had been like this when she started loving her husband and growing a family with him. “Thank you, my baby.” She tells Yaxil as she leans on her husband for support.
“You’re welcome.” He teases, earning a pouty and “angry” look from their daughter while Shuri sighs, unamused.
He did chuckle when Ostra facepalms, a habit he surely got from Namora.
Yaxil stretches her arms toward Shuri and she immediately carries her daughter to her lap, she tells her mother another mama beautiful which made Shuri smile, “Aw, thank you.” She tickles her baby’s fat cheek which makes her giggle.
“Mama,” Ostra starts and Cha’ah Toh smiles, whenever his eldest child asks if the two of them can ask permission for him, he will end up telling his mother alone.
“Yes, my baby?”
Ostra smiles a small yet shy one, “Can I come with papa tomorrow? When he swims at the capital?”
Cha’ah Toh feels the hesitation burn as quickly as it came when Ostra gives her the puppy eyes. She reaches to cup her son’s cheek, “But not for too long, okay?”
Ostra grinned, nodding enthusiastically at the granted permission. He even pumps his fist in the air with a yes!, making his parents smile fondly at him.
Ostra went with Cha’ah Toh early in the morning, excited as he is to spend the day with his father.
And Shuri misses her youngest baby so she walks to her room where she probably is. If Yaxil is not playing with her father, which right now she couldn’t, or not collecting shells with Attuma, she’s quiet in her room.
She smiles when she sees her husband’s two most trusted warriors a distance from the entrance of Yaxil’s room.
“My beautiful, beautiful Shuri!”
Attuma and Namora look at each other, it doesn’t seem like the baby is looking for her mother. Namora was the one who noticed her presence first.
She smiles at the two who lower their heads as a form of bowing. Then she enters the room, “Are you calling for me, my baby girl?”
Yaxil beams when she sees her mother, stretching her arms so she can be given a kiss. Shuri carries her right after. “Mama’s name.” Yaxil answers. “Papa… papa calls you…” she speaks slowly, wanting her mother to understand, she couldn’t resist herself so she kisses Yaxil’s cheek.
“Calls me what?”
“Beautiful Shuri!”
“That’s mama’s name?” She asks, pointing to herself and so Yaxil points at her, nodding.
“Yes, mama’s name…” Shuri kissed her other cheek, “beautiful Shuri.”
She pouts, stitching her eyebrows upward and it earned a worrying expression from her tiny and fat baby, “Why not mama Shuri?”
When Ostra realized that my love is not his mother’s name, he opted for mama Shuri which made her weep in her husband’s arms that very same night with the love the term holds. Maybe it will be the same case for Ostra’s little sister.
“Because of papa.” She answers, “Beautiful Shuri… not your name, mama?”
Before she can answer, she hears Attuma say ah, she’s got the Ostra syndrome, followed immediately by Namora’s do not bring him into this, as they walk away from outside the room.
It made Shuri smile more. She hugs her baby, “Aw, my baby Yaxil.” She coos and Yaxil makes herself comfortable by leaning her head on her mother’s shoulder, happy that she’s being hugged.
While Yaxil is situated in her arm, she uses the free one to untie the hammock. She lies down on it while Yaxil adjusts, lying on her mother’s chest. She caresses her child’s back who’s breathing in sync with hers.
Then Yaxil looks at her, Shuri smiles as she caresses Yaxil’s cheek, “And you are my beautiful, beautiful Yaxil.”
She sits up so Shuri supports her back, “Nooo, I’m Yaxil!”
Shuri blinks before she understands what her daughter is trying to say, she giggles and it makes Yaxil smile whenever her mother’s eyes disappear like magic when she laughs, “Yes you are, you are my baby Yaxil, and you are beautiful!” Yaxil smiles shyly, “That’s why you are beautiful Yaxil.”
“Beautiful Shuri.” She repeats.
“Why, thank you.”
Her daughter shakes her head and then points at her mother, “Beautiful Shuri, name.”
She indeed got the Ostra syndrome, “Mama Shuri’s name,” she points at herself and Yaxil holds her finger, Shuri almost cries with the tenderness of it all, she wishes her husband was here, “is Shuri.”
Yaxil blinks, “Beautiful… beautiful mama Shuri!” She stretches her arms horizontally and she looks cute doing so. Shuri carries her baby atop her who is trying to reach for her.
“Aww! You got a new name for me?!” Yaxil nods and smiles proudly, making Shuri giggle and bite her cheek. Yaxil gasps, touching her cheek that her mother bit.
“Mama, cheekies gone?”
Oh, children are so gullible, she giggles internally, she can’t wait to tell her husband about this. She feigns a gasp too, making Yaxil even more worried, “Oh no!”
Her face scrunches up, a set of big tears waiting to flow, “Put… it back, mama.”
Shuri laughs softly, “Okay, okay.” She kisses Yaxil’s cheek, “There you go, your fat and round cheekie is back.” Yaxil touches her cheek as if it really returned and then she pouts to kiss her beautiful mama Shuri.
She lays her baby in her chest again, running her fingers through her delicate hair, massaging it until she hears a yawn. Her hands clench at the air and so Shuri puts a hand on her back.
Shuri stares at how small Yaxil is compared to her, her small hand atop her arm and it makes her think how she was able to live all these years without her and Ostra in her life.
My beautiful, beautiful Shuri.
She could almost hear her husband call her. Right, when their children weren’t there yet, it was just him alone that filled her thoughts and occupied her feelings.
Yaxil claws on her arm and she chuckles, massaging her baby’s scalp again.
Beautiful mama Shuri!
She notes the contrast Yaxil has with her brother who would sob at the minute his parents stop giving him affection while asleep.
But mama is beautiful.
She can’t help but to recall the first time he called her that endearment after spending a day with his childhood heroes, one of whom he got the said endearment from.
"My beautiful, beautiful Shuri."
Shuri smiled, grinned as she stood up to greet her beloved Cha'ah Toh. She shyly puts her hands around his neck as he hugs her waist, she's the one who gives him their greeting kiss.
"Hi."
"Hello." He teases, and she can feel the heat on her cheeks as he dips his head to give her a peck. She embraces his broad shoulders as he inhales the scent on her neck.
She squirms, awfully shy when he's just so close to her, this close.
He chuckles when he retrieves because of the demure smile on her face. "You're still shy with me? My beautiful, beautiful Shuri."
She caresses his arms, trying to avoid his gaze but she feels herself pulled back by his gravitating look. "Who wouldn't be?"
He rests her head on the crook of his neck, cradling her and Shuri doesn't know where to put her hands but on his chest and arm. "You shouldn't be."
She pouts when they look at each other, he grinned and she swore she heard him laugh through it, "You've been teasing me a lot."
"I like teasing you, especially since you look so cute, like a baby." She pouts more so he kisses her more. She embraces him and he presses his face to her neck, giving her kisses and sweet whispers of her name.
“I’m so happy you’re here.” She tells him as she plays with the curls of his hair. His trail of kisses went upward from her jaw to her lips.
He pulls her closer and she feels like floating when her feet are content in the ground. “Did you miss me?”
“A lot, baby.” She answers and he rolls his eyes, grinning at the endearment and she presses her thighs together when her belly starts to feel funny.
He pecks her lips, “I miss you, too,” he puts a hand on her cheek that honestly covers the side of her head and then he kisses her forehead, “a lot.” He snuggles on her neck as his arm finds a way to embrace her waist again, he rubs his nose against the side of her neck and she shivers.
Shuri puts an arm over his shoulder, another hand on his cheek to make him look at her, when he does, she kisses his cheek, “You’re tired, my love?”
He closes his eyes and she kisses him, “Yes, but not anymore,” he stares at her eyes and she almost grins, “you’re in my arms.”
She hugs his neck, tiptoeing so she can feel the warmth of his chest on her, “No, you are in my arms.”
He chuckles, “Alright,” he yields, “I indeed am.” She giggles and pecks his lips, “Let us go home?”
Shuri smiles more, feeling the weariness of waiting for her husband disappears at the thought of going home with him, “Mhm, home.”
He holds her hand, then he chuckles.
The sound made her smile, so she smiled, “What?”
“Nothing,” he kisses the back of her hand and she leans on his face, “hey, you know I’ll tell you everything later.”
“Huh? Oh, right, yeah.” She blinks, lowering her gaze, embarrassed at how quickly she forgets things when it comes to wanting his kisses, “I wanted a kiss.”
He throws his head back to laugh and she puts a hand at the back of his head, “I thought you were sulking.”
“Yes, because you’re not kissing me.”
He smirks and she feels so reserved for him, glad that he is her first in everything even with something as trivial as wanting a kiss just because he is smiling.
He cups her cheeks, tilts her head, and kisses her tenderly, softly, just like she knows he is. She holds his wrists until her knees wobble and he has to part to keep her upright.
“Is my beautiful, beautiful Shuri tired?”
She clicks her tongue, she’s sure he can feel the warmth oozing from her cheeks and neck. He kisses the crease on her forehead and she relaxes. “I want to lay beside you right now in our bed.”
He takes her hand again, “Alright, then let’s swim.”
She pulls it back, “Which of them did you get it from?”
He blinks, then he chuckles, realizing she knew it was from one of the eternals, his beautiful, beautiful Shuri really is smart. He dips to kiss her lips and she smiles, “From Druig.”
Her lips parted and she groaned, upset that her guess wasn’t right, “I thought from Ikaris!”
