Chapter Text

“Hey, Jungkook, why are those two always following you around?”

Jungkook throws a look over his shoulder, to where Dongho (his classmate, and future best friend if he doesn’t find out about Jungkook’s secret before they can actually get to know each other) is pointing.

There, on the table at the corner of the store, trying to look like they belong here even though they’re at least ten years older than everyone around and sporting the most expensive suits dirty money can buy, sit Seokjin and Yoongi. Seokjin’s licking an ice cream cone and Yoongi’s pretending to read a book, but they’re both looking at Jungkook and Dongho over the rim of their dark sunglasses.

Truth be told, Jungkook tried to convince him to dress more casually right before the school years started. He knew that, as it had happened all the way from elementary to highschool, people would talk the second they noticed them. And people would stop talking to Jungkook altogether the second they noticed he’s the one they always follow.

He sighs, popping a spoonful of bingsu in his mouth, and he looks at Dongho, who’s staring back at him with an expression that is a mix of fear and amusement. This time Jungkook decides to at least have some fun before his potential friend runs for the hills.

“How do you know they aren’t following you?” he whispers, covering his mouth as he leans over the table for secrecy. Dongho’s usually sweet and comfortable scent goes sour and his little smile fades.

“Do you think I’m in danger?” Dongho whispers, his soft fingers suddenly around Jungkook’s wrist.

There’s a commotion behind Jungkook and all he manages to do is smile and squeeze Dongho’s hand back before two pairs of arms pull him from his chair. The fresh scent of mint envelopes him in secure blanket from behind, while hot chocolate steams in front of him as Seokjin levels Dongho with a cold stare.

“Touch him again and you lose both of your hands,” Seokjin casually says. Dongho’s eyes go wide and the color seeps from his face, he nods and tries to hide his hands under the table, but Seokjin moves faster than he expects and pins his hands in place, clicking his tongue. “Uh-uh, no sudden movements, and no trying to reach where I can’t see. Just keep them to yourself.”

“Stop, you’re overreacting,” Jungkook huffs. Yoongi pulls him back by the hand when he takes a step closer to the table. “You both are, he just touched me.”

“By now you should know that he could’ve been trying to poison you,” Yoongi grunts, inspecting the spot where Dongho’s fingers made contact with his skin. It looks fine to him, and he doesn’t feel any different from before Dongho touched him.

“I’m fine, see—” He trips on Yoongi’s foot and flails into Seokjin’s arms.

“Right,” Seokjin says, arched eyebrow doing everything to tell Jungkook that it doesn’t matter if Dongho wasn’t actually trying to kill him, he should know better.

“Thank you,” he whispers after a mouthful of Seokjin’s rich scent. Today is on the darker side, a little more bitter but still as delicious as ever. Jungkook knows that him and Yoongi weren’t big on him hanging out with Dongho after class. He knows why they worry, and after so many years of the same he should be used to it, but being the outcast never gets easy. Seokjin helps him back to an upright position and he turns to Dongho with an apologetic smile on his face. “I’m sorry about all of this. See you tomorrow?”

Dongho nods shakily, scent slowly returning to its usual softness, hands still on the table. Jungkook feels bad for him, he doesn’t want to leave just like that, but what else can he say? Don’t worry about them next time, just do as they say or my dangerous family will come after you? Yeah, right.

Yoongi hands him his backpack and the three of them leave the establishment in a line, Jungkook walking between them with his head down.

Don’t get him wrong, he loves Seokjin and Yoongi, he loves them so much. Like, he loves them to the point where sometimes when he’s in the mood and if they’re in the mood too, he will ask them to scent him and he will kiss them and maybe if they’re all feeling like it, something more may happen.

For years now Jungkook has had the slight suspicion that Seokjin and Yoongi are actually a couple. And it’s understandable if they want to remain undercover, because even in the outlaw world an omega couple is frowned upon. For one, he knows his father would freak the fuck out if he found out that his only son has been kissing and fucking other omegas. But honestly, he doesn’t care, he loves them anyway.

Right now, though, he’s angry. 1% at them, 99% at his father and their stupid organization.

In the short walk from the coffee shop to the parking garage, a small commotion down the street stops them on their tracks. Immediately, Seokjin and Yoongi get into a protective stance. Yoongi pushes Jungkook against the closest wall and covers him with his own body (well, almost, given that Jungkook is a little bit bigger); Seokjin stands straight between them and the group of people, who seem to be staring at something on the ground.

“Take him back,” Seokjin whispers.

Yoongi nods and pulls on Jungkook’s arm, and Jungkook follows obediently, throwing a worried look over his shoulder towards where Seokjin is still watching the commotion intently. Right when they’re about to round the corner into an alley, the crowd parts and a man bursts out with a gun on his hand. People start running around, to Jungkook it looks more like an organized dance than the chaos it should be, he understands then what this is all about.

Seokjin hurries to tackle the man into the ground, a gunshot goes off and a puddle of blood starts forming. Jungkook’s heart stops and he feels Yoongi’s hand squeezing his arm tighter.

“Jungkook keep moving!” Yoongi hisses, voice firm and calm, but Jungkook can tell through his scent that he’s as worried as him.

“No! We need to go back for him,” Jungkook replies, he tries to break free from Yoongi’s hold, but Yoongi grabs him even tighter. It’s so tight it’s almost painful and Jungkook makes a little hurt noise but he doesn’t know if it’s actual physical pain or the thought of Seokjin laying on a puddle of blood by the side of the street.

Another gunshot goes off. Jungkook drops his backpack and tries to run back, but Yoongi wrestles him against the wall and grabs his face.

“Baby please, stop!” Yoongi whispers, touching his forehead to Jungkook’s. His breathing has become more labored and his scent is sour to the point that it makes Jungkook gag. “We need to keep you safe, please don’t fight me.”

The sting of tears burns behind Jungkook’s eyes, his hands are shaking and he wants to go to Seokjin. Maybe his father has always been right, Jungkook’s survival instinct is nonexistent if in a situation that was obviously plotted to take him off he cares more about his bodyguard’s safety. But Jungkook doesn’t care if his father is right in this moment, Seokjin can’t fight all those people alone, he needs Yoongi at least.

Someone enters the alley then, the sound of a pebble dragging on the concrete alerts Yoongi and he turns his back on Jungkook, unholstering his magnum and aiming towards the newcomer. It’s Seokjin, he’s holding a silver dagger in a bloody grip, his other hand holds his bicep and there’s also blood seeping through his fingers.

“I took care of them,” Seokjin grunts. When Jungkook tries to step around Yoongi to get closer, Yoongi grabs him by the back of his shirt to keep him in place. “We need to get out of here before reinforcements come.” He winces and rips the tie off his neck, then he wraps it around his arm, just below the shoulder and a few drops of blood drip from the point of his dagger onto the ground. “Also, what the fuck are you still doing here! I told you to go!”

“I…” Jungkook stutters.

“Move!”

Yoongi takes Jungkook’s hand and forces him to walk, then to run. The parking garage is mostly dark and Yoongi holds on unlocking their car until they’re standing next to it. The door opens and Yoongi shoves Jungkook onto the back seat, a second later Seokjin collapses on top of him.

Before Jungkook knows it, the car is moving, and he holds onto Seokjin as if his life depended on it, tears running freely down his cheeks by now.

“I can’t breathe if you squeeze me like that,” Seokjin coughs, a tiny splatter of blood flying from his mouth and onto Jungkook’s shirt.

Jungkook tells himself to loosen his grip, but his arms don’t cooperate. Something inside him tells him that now that Seokjin is safe in his embrace, letting go would be the worst thing he could do. He knows nothing about medical aid, and Seokjin for sure needs a professional to tend to his wounds, but to Jungkook it feels like he’s the only one who can help him, like it’s his job a Seokjin’s omega to nurture him back to health and that has a little something else sparkling inside of him.

He shakes his head and presses his lips to Seokjin’s temple, and that’s when he feels another kind of warmth on his stomach, but it’s coming from the outside. Seokjin huffs after the second kiss and he goes completely lax on top of Jungkook, dagger clattering onto the space between the back and front seats.

“What’s going on back there?” Yoongi asks, eyes fixed on the road as they speed past a red light and the horns of angry drivers get lost in the distance.

“He passed out,” Jungkook replies. The warmth is spreading on his clothes and dripping down his side onto the couch. Jungkook slides a hand under Seokjin’s coat and pats him around, trying to find the source of the other bleeding. He feels the wet spot in Seokjin’s back, right under his ribs and he gasps. “There’s another wound.”

“In or out?” Yoongi’s eyes flicker to them on the rearview mirror, his scent, that had barely come back to something closer to his usual freshness, starts darkening with worry again.

“Out, I think.”

“Take his coat off and use it to put pressure on both wounds.”

Jungkook rolls around on the couch as Yoongi swerves into an unpaved street. His teeth rattle with the movement of the car while he struggles to undress Seokjin. The red stain from the blood makes a horrifying contrast with Seokjin’s white shirt, but it also helps Jungkook find the entry wound faster. When he presses his hands into the bloody mess, Seokjin wakes up and a hiss falls from his lips.

“How far?” Seokjin mumbles.

“We’re almost there,” Yoongi answers.

The second the car stops, Yoongi hurries out and opens the back door. Seokjin reaches for him with his good arm and Yoongi pulls him upright, then hugs him and kisses him full on the mouth.

“Once Yoonji patches you up, I’m going to kill you,” Yoongi whispers against Seokjin’s lips while Jungkook clings to him from the back, nuzzling into the scent gland on the side of his neck.

“What are we waiting for, people? He’s bleeding out.” Yoonji pulls them from their little bubble and the alpha next to her urges Yoongi to step aside so she can grab Seokjin and put him on the stretcher already waiting for him.

Jungkook remains on the back seat, bloody hands staining the upholstery as they watch Seokjin disappear into the clinic.

“He’s fine, Sir, just a little startled,” Yoongi says, phone held between his cheek and his shoulder as he gently rubs a wet cloth on Jungkook’s trembling hands to get rid of the blood. Jungkook looks up and stares at the way Yoongi’s cheek bunches up to distract himself. “Oh… He’s with Yoonji right now. Yes. I’ll let you know when we’re on our way back.”

Yoongi drops the phone when the call ends.

“You should know by now that he’s never asking for me when he calls,” Jungkook mutters bitterly. He knows his father and he lost hope a very long time ago. Yoongi looks at him with a sad expression… or maybe it’s a pitying one. Either way, Jungkook doesn’t like it. “Don’t look at me like that.”

“How am I looking at you?”

“Like I’m a pathetic little child whose daddy doesn’t care about him.”

Yoongi shakes his head and tosses the cloth aside. He cups Jungkook’s face and brushes his cheekbones with his thumbs. “I’m looking at you like I love you and I’m worried about you.”

“You should be worried about Seokjin,” Jungkook says, trying to deflect. His chest feels tight and it hurts, but it’s also warm and full of the love he feels for Yoongi. “I’m okay.”

“I can be worried about the both of you at the same time.” Yoongi kisses the tip of Jungkook’s nose and remains close after. “I don’t like it, but I care about you two so much that it’s impossible not to when something like this happens.”

Jungkook brings his hands to Yoongi’s wrists and leans into his touch. “I’m sorry.”

“This is not your fault.”

“Of course it is! I’m sure they were trying to kill me. I hate it that you’re in constant danger because of me.”

“Jungkook, we’ve prepared for this our whole lives—”

“That’s another thing I hate,” Jungkook cuts him off. He squeezes Yoongi’s hands and makes him let go to kiss his scarred knuckles. “You didn’t choose this. You could’ve lived normal lives. You two could’ve been happy together, far from this fucked up world of mine.”

“Hey,” Yoongi chides him with a click of his tongue. “How many times do I need to remind you that we were born into this fucked up world too? And that we volunteered for the training? We wanted to protect you back then, and we want to protect you now.”

“Because I’m the only son of the big scary boss—”

“Because we love you.” Yoongi pecks his lips once, he looks at Jungkook and thumbs at his pout, then kisses him again, deeper this time. Jungkook melts into it, some of the ever-growing self-hatred and doubts calming down for a moment. “We loved you when we were kids and you were the cute, bunny-looking little boy born into the den of the bad wolves. And we love you now.”

There’s silence for a minute while they keep each other close, breathing each other’s breath. As always, Jungkook is the first to go for the scenting. It’s his coping mechanism, he knows, Yoongi and Seokjin know. So, it’s easy to give Yoongi the look and lean forward when Yoongi tilts his head to the side. He buries his nose in the crook of Yoongi’s neck, clinging to his coat as he takes a deep breath and comes back from it with a mouthful of mint and the hint of Seokjin’s chocolate woven into Yoongi.

“I want to see him,” Jungkook whispers as the tip of Yoongi’s nose brushes against his scent gland. Yoongi breathes him in and kisses the swollen bump before pulling back to kiss him again.

“Me too.”

“Hey there,” Seokjin rasps, thumb caressing Jungkook’s jawline where he’s resting by the edge of the bed. Jungkook’s head shoots up and he stares at Seokjin with wide eyes. Seokjin smiles softly, trying to ignore the metallic taste in his mouth. Jungkook’s lips start to tremble and it pulls at the strings of Seokjin’s heart almost as painfully as the two gunshots that put him in this bed. “Come here.”

“I don’t want to hurt you,” Jungkook whispers, squeezing Seokjin’s hand. A lone tear drips down his cheek and Seokjin weakly tugs at his arm,

“You’d never hurt me.”

Jungkook hesitates for a second longer. He gives Seokjin a once over, and Seokjin knows that his eyes linger first on the bandage around his stomach, then on his chest and lastly on the bandage on his arm. He puffs up a little, letting his head fall to the side on the pillow to invite Jungkook in and it works. Jungkook leans closer and slides his fingertips down the side of Seokjin’s face, then his fingers tangle in Seokjin’s hair as he presses his nose to Seokjin’s neck, but instead of breathing in, he starts to cry.

Seokjin throws his good arm around Jungkook’s trembling shoulders and kisses his hair. “I’m okay,” he says. “I’m still here for you.” His eyes find Yoongi staring at them from the corner of the room and he smiles. Yoongi smiles back. Jungkook cries harder.

“It seems like Seokjin is recovering well,” Father comments a few days later during dinner.

“I want a gun,” Jungkook blurts out. His mother looks at him as if he had just grown a second head, chopsticks clattering to her plate. His father calmly swallows his food, cleans the corner of his mouth with a napkin and, finally, throws Jungkook a cold stare that makes him freeze in his spot instantly.

“What?” Father asks. His voice is soft and there’s a smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. Anyone else would think he just didn’t hear what Jungkook said, but Jungkook knows his father, and he wants to swallow his words back and run for the forest. “What did you say, dear son?”

Chills run down Jungkook’s back. He takes a sip of his wine to help himself relax. He can’t back down from this, not after what happened to Seokjin trying to protect him. Jungkook clears his throat and stares right into his father’s eyes.

“I want a gun,” he repeats.

“You don’t even know how to hold one. What would you do with it?”

“I’ve seen Seokjin and Yoongi using guns, they can teach me how to protect myself.”

“Jungkook,” Mother starts, but the clatter of the cutlery on the table as his father’s fist comes down on it shuts her up.

“Seokjin and Yoongi are trained professionals who’ve known the taste of blood since they were kids. You’re just a pathetic little omega, weak and stupid. Don’t compare yourself to them, dear.” Father stands up from his chair. He rounds the table and stops by Jungkook’s side, soft smile still on his lips, but it looks crooked now. Father slowly cards his fingers through Jungkook’s hair, catching on the back of his head and twisting it in an uncomfortable angle so Jungkook looks at him. “You’re soft, Jungkook. Ever since you were born, I could see it in you. I knew that when the time came to it, when you had to choose between your life and someone else’s, you wouldn’t be able to pull the trigger. That’s why Seokjin and Yoongi follow you around, because they’d do whatever it takes to keep you safe.”

“But…”

“No. No buts. Your only obligation in this organization is to stay alive long enough for me to find a good alpha who can replace me, for whom you’ll bear an heir and pray to God they aren’t as weak as you.”

Father kisses his forehead and lets him go. Jungkook can feel the sting of angry tears behind his eyes but he refuses to let his father see him cry, he refuses to give him any proof that he’s exactly what his father thinks.

After his father is gone, Jungkook takes a deep breath. He looks at his mother, who is already staring at him with tears dripping down her cheeks.

“Is that what you are?” he asks. It’s not necessarily that he wants to hurt her, but he’s angry because she just sat there while Father reduced him to a fucking piece of glorified garbage on the side of the road.

He’s always known that father would have preferred and alpha child, too bad he got stuck with an omega one that basically left his mate unable to produce more minions for the family business. Sometimes Jungkook wonders why is she still here. Why are they still here when father could’ve easily gotten rid of both of them to search for what he wanted somewhere else.

“There are so many things you don’t know about this world, sweet child.” His mother dabs her tears away with a handkerchief. “There are so many things you don’t know about us.” And with that, she leaves.

**

It’s well into the night and Jungkook is so very tired. He drops the heavy book he was reading onto the desk and looks up. Yoongi stands by the entrance to the library, glancing at Seokjin who is drooling with his cheek bunched up against the backrest of the lounge chair in the middle of the room. Seokjin is shirtless right now, because he complained so much about the itch the fabric caused as it rubbed with the bandages and Jungkook couldn’t concentrate on his reading, so he told him to get rid of it and be quiet; Seokjin fell asleep quite quickly after that.

Jungkook allows himself to just stare. First at Yoongi and the fond warmth in his eyes as he looks at Seokjin. Then at Seokjin and how different he looks while he’s asleep. He looks so peaceful, and so, so soft. Jungkook is used to a harsher side of him, not Because Seokjin doesn’t treat him with delicacy and softness, but because all the time while he’s awake, the weight of taking care of Jungkook, of keeping him alive, rests on his and Yoongi’s shoulders, and he never looks like this when he’s aware of that burden (even if Seokjin would never call it that).

“I asked Father for a gun and he said no,” he whispers, eyes still on Seokjin, but he can feel the burn of Yoongi’s surprised stare on the side of his face. He bites his lip and goes silent then. Jungkook knows Yoongi’s intently waiting for him to continue, but when a minute goes by and he still hasn’t found it in himself to repeat what Father said to him, Yoongi leaves his post by the door and comes closer. Yoongi stops next to him and Jungkook sighs, flopping onto the backrest.

“And?” Yoongi cards his fingers trough the hair on the back of Jungkook’s head and Jungkook looks up to find Yoongi already watching him. Something about the realization that his gaze is as intense and as warm as when he was looking at Seokjin earlier makes Jungkook’s chest tighten uncomfortably, but it’s also nice. “I don’t imagine he agreed, because you didn’t immediately come to us asking for help.”

Jungkook pouts as Yoongi gently massages his scalp. It’s hard to not lean into his touch, so Jungkook just does it, he needs the comfort right now. He needs the reassurance that at least someone cares about him if his parents don’t. But he finds out it’s not enough to feel reassured. He wants to hurt his father back.

“I wanna go out,” Jungkook says. He turns his face to the side to kiss the palm of Yoongi’s hand and lets his scent dip into the sweeter side. Jungkook knows this tactic is not as effective on other omegas as it would be on an alpha, but Seokjin and Yoongi are so attuned to him and his needs from so many years of scenting each other, that sometimes it’s difficult to tell the difference, honestly. He can see the ‘no’ already forming on Yoongi’s lips, but he sighs and kisses his palm again, leaning forward on the chair, letting his back arch in that way that always gets the better and the worse of Yoongi. “I wanna drink and forget for a while.”

“Jungkook…” Yoongi tries, lowering to a crouch, now he’s the one looking up with dilated pupils, his scent following Jungkook’s same path.

“I wanna fuck an alpha and come back in the morning smelling of them.” Jungkook traces the line of Yoongi’s nose with his index. Yoongi’s breath falters when Jungkook’s finger drops to his lips and he takes it in his mouth, swirling his tongue around it. A pleasant shiver runs down Jungkook’s back and he squeezes his legs together. “Do you think he’d be mad if I…” He leans closer. Yoongi sucks intently, darkened eyes fixed on Jungkook, his scent is making Jungkook floatier by the second. “Came to breakfast dripping alpha cum? Would he be angrier if it was alpha and omega?” Jungkook pulls his finger back and it pops out of Yoongi’s mouth. When Yoongi makes to follow, Jungkook pushes him back with his foot and Yoongi drops on his ass, legs wide open. Jungkook can see the growing tent in his slacks and he can smell the exquisite aroma of his slick in the air. “The omegan cum of his beloved omega executers?”

“Fuck,” Yoongi hisses when Jungkook grazes his crotch with his foot and Jungkook smiles crookedly. “He’d go crazy. He’d kill us if we let his son be defiled before wedlock.”

“But darling,” Jungkook whispers. He presses harder on Yoongi’s cock, then grabs his face, squishing his cheeks. “You already did so yourself.” He kisses Yoongi then, letting him cling to his neck and fuck his mouth with his tongue. When he breaks the kiss a thin string of saliva connects them and Jungkook licks his lips, then Yoongi’s. “Undress.”

Yoongi obeys in a haste and Jungkook doesn’t waste time before dropping onto him. The stretch is bliss, but they’re both so wet, dripping from their cunts and their cocks that the sting lasts nothing. Yoongi’s hands rest on Jungkook’s thighs as Jungkook circles his hips and makes him groan, keeping him down against the floor with a hand on his chest.

It’s sick, Jungkook thinks, how he finds so much joy in making his father’s men submit like this to him. How he feels so good reducing another omega to a puddle of slick and cum so easily. It’s a twisted kind of fate that he just so happens to love these men so much.

He talks big, and he likes to put scenarios in Yoongi’s head where he’s getting his brains fucked out by an alpha, but he isn’t sure he’d be able to do this with a stranger and he’s never been around an interested alpha long enough to know how he’d react. But he wants to try, and even if Yoongi talks about his father killing them, Jungkook feels like convincing him and Seokjin wouldn’t take much. Especially given how Yoongi’s already squirming under him and trembling in pleasure at the mere squeeze of Jungkook’s cunt around his cock.

“Is this a wet dream?” Seokjin says. Jungkook throws a look over his shoulder, arching his back further to allow Seokjin a peek at the way Yoongi’s cock slides in and out of his wet pussy with each movement of his hips. Yoongi moans, squirting first and cumming inside Jungkook second. Seokjin squeezes himself through his slacks. “Do I get a turn?”

Jungkook’s smile grows wicked as he leaves a shaking Yoongi on the floor to walk to Seokjin on jelly legs, cum and slick dripping down his thighs. “Lay back and present your cock.” Seokjin obeys as easily as Yoongi, and he comes undone just the same. Jungkook has to jerk himself to climax after Seokjin cries out into his scent gland and cums two minutes in. He kisses Seokjin furiously and slides his fingers through the mess he left on Seokjin’s stomach, then he brings his sticky fingers to Seokjin’s lips. “Open up.” He shoves his fingers inside as soon as they part and Seokjin moans around them. “Good omega.”
