Wilbur hissed as he touched down on the windowsill, clutching his side. Damn, that's gonna need stitches. He thought mournfully, and to think this shoot was going to give me the choice between outfits...
"Shit!"
There was a thud, and Wilbur groaned as he lay on the ground, foot still caught on the windowsill. The pain in his side now blinding agony. He stiffened as he heard hurried footsteps race towards his door, and then looked up, panicked, as it slammed open. Aurelius stood in the doorway, staring down at Nightwing, in the flesh, lying on the floor and bleeding all over the carpet. Said vigilante sheepishly grinned up at him, giving a pained wave then planting the same hand on the ground to try to support himself.
"So uh, completely unrelated, maybe we forget about this? Maybe? Just a little? Please?" Aurelius' face grew more and more incredulous, and Wilbur gave a nervous laugh at the sudden look of recognition. "Just close the door for like five minutes then we do this again, but I pretend that you just heard a random noise since this is Gotham?"
"Do you really think that I'm going to do that?" Aurelius flipped on the light, walking into the room and closing the door as he approaches a pouting Wilbur, hands gentle as he helps him get unstuck from the window, he brushes the pitch black hair back from where its sticking to Wilbur's face, sticky with sweat. He sighed. "What am I going to do with you?"
Wilbur cleared his throat, willing the blush away, giving Aurelius a shit eating grin. "Well, I'm sure I could think of something-" Before his mouth was covered by Aurelius' hand, muffled giggles escaping.
"You, know that is not what I meant." Aurelius' amused smile made the stern words lose any standing. "But, moving on from that, you seem to be bleeding all over the carpet, and I think we should stop that from continuing." He pulls Wilbur closer, ignoring the startled look on his face, and stands up with Wilbur cradled in his arms, striding to the bathroom and setting him down on the side of the bathtub. Wilbur gave him an awkward smile as he turned to grab the first aid kit from under the sink, and started to try to reach for the zipper on the back of the suit, hissing as it pulled at the wound on his side. He was stopped by Aurelius leaning over him, first aid kit sitting on the the toilet seat lid, Wilbur froze, Aurelius' hair tickling what skin wasn't covered by the suit, and shivered at the hand set on his shoulder as he unzipped the suit.
"What, not gonna take me on a date first?" He gave an awkward laugh, trying to divert from the red burning at his face, before grimacing as Aurelius began to wipe the wound clean, and readied the needle and thread. "A- ah, I see, straight to the point eh?" He gave a weak laugh as he diverted his eyes from the needle now stitching his wound closed.
"Hold still you ridiculous man." Aurelius held onto Wilbur's side, ignoring how his breath seemed to stutter for a second. "I can't stitch you up if you keep giggling at yourself." Wilbur pouted at Aurelius, but held still, flushing slightly at the warm hand still holding onto his unhurt side.
"If no one else will find me funny I might as well laugh myself." He gave a wry smile then squeaked as the hand on his side squeezed tighter, Aurelius setting the needle down and grabbing the bandages he had set aside. Wilbur bit his lip to hold in the whine as Aurelius removed his hand so he could wrap Wilbur's wound, then, after finishing, sighing and setting his hands on Wilbur's legs.
"Wilbur," Wilbur's eyes snapped to his, face turning redder by the second, and Aurelius gave a smile, causing Wilbur to stutter slightly. "You're lucky that I love you, I hope you know that." At Wilbur's stuttery gasp, he just laughs and leans up to press a kiss to his lips, grinning at the heat of Wilbur's face. This man is an adorable fool.
