Chapter Text
As the wave of dizziness disappears, the world around comes to. A sharp pain strikes the weak, frail woman, the pain runs down from her head to her toes.
But the world is different from the world she knew.
The sky swirls a green aura, the ground seeming dark and unfamiliar.
The woman takes in a shaky breath, her mouth dry and cotton-like. She rubs her eyes, dusting away her stray, messy locks of hair.
She tries to speak, but her voice comes out as nothing but a whisper. "Where am I?" She questions, her voice straining as if she had come down with a sickness.
The woman stands up, her legs burning as she tries to regain her balance and composure.
Another sharp pain strikes her head, causing her to groan in pain. The pain burned throughout her whole body, causing her to fall over, hitting her head on the cold ground.
As everything fades to black, an echoing whisper falls on her elven ears. "Dovahkiin…"

A tall, powerful man stands outlooking into the mysterious realm he walks upon. A mask covering his face, robes covering the rest of his body.
He was powerful and ancient. He remained dormant in this realm for years upon years. His hunger for power grew more and more everyday. He desired more power, and nothing would stop him.
He walks around the realm, pondering thoughts in his mind. But as he walks and walks, he feels an unwelcome presence in the realm. "What…?" He says, confused. Conjuring a spell in his hand.
The presence radiated power, and familiarity? The ancient man sniffs angrily. The presence had an aura of great power, as powerful as him, but lacking in age. A young power still blooming with anticipation to come to its true, undiscovered form.
The man scans the perimeter, and as he does, his eyes land on a figure curled up, lying lifelessly on the ground.
He drew closer, trying to get a good look, his curiosity getting the best of him.
It was a woman. She felt so familiar. Like he knew her from somewhere, or he was supposed to know her. He felt similar to her, their powers being similar.
Her eyes were closed shut, lips slightly parted, she was still breathing. Although shallow.
Her hair was long and black, her skin was dark, her face painted with red lines. A beautiful jeweled circlet wrapped around her head. A long scar was present on her cheek.
The armor she wore was unfamiliar to him, it was almost as black as her hair.
He hadn't seen life in this realm in centuries, maybe even a millenia more had gone by since he had seen life such as himself.
Something about her was intimidating. Everything in his mind screamed for him to draw his blade and kill her, but his curiosity was too strong, he got down to his knees beside the woman.
She still seemed to be sleeping, or unconscious. He reached out, the forces in his mind attempting to pull him back, but something was pulling him toward her.
He reached for a lock of her dark hair, before something yanked him back.
"Miraak." A stern, powerful voice said to him.
"Do you know who she is?"
Miraak shakes his head no. "No, my lord." He says, kneeling. "Use everything I've taught you and you'll know. She is a threat to you, Miraak."
As he turns back, the woman was lying lifelessly again, a green aura surrounding her body.
"Dovahkiin…." Miraak calls out, as the woman fades away.
