Work Text:
Unseen, ignored
Watching In silence as the world moves on
Not even a glance is spared.
The text on my face is no longer legible,
The name is lost to time.
My neighbor gets a visit,
Flowers bloom in their lap.
I don't get visits anymore,
Alone yet surrounded by others
We sit and wait to be acknowledged
Wait for the day that flowers will adorn our laps
Wait for someone to breathe a name long forgotten
Wait for the gentle words of no one in particular
