Work Text:
Levi hears the knock on his door and opens his weary eyes with a grim smile. He is handed over an envelope. a battered one. He drops it on his desk, and without much thought, he closes his eyes again. Horrifying screams and ear-piercing yells fill his mind yet again.
He was getting pulled away from all the bloodshed and screaming by a pair of calloused hands. He opens his mouth to thank his saviour, but he shuts it, his lips thinning when he sees Eren standing there, a hole in his chest, a warm, sweaty palm wrapped around Levi’s bloodied ones.
"Eren!" he screams, his heart galloping maddeningly as sickening sensations and dread drenches him, with sweat pouring out of his temple and back.
"Please!" he screams until his voice turns hoarse.
"Fucking hell, brat. Don’t do this!" He groans when he’s pushed inside the wall, safely locked inside, while Eren disappears and peace settles over them. Serenity was something they had never felt before. And the wall vanishes, leaving only paradis people behind. Titan vanishes into thin air.
Levi sits up straight, his neck aching from sitting on his chair. He groans at the pile of papers and letters to be read. He needs to stop sleeping here and the nightmares have been very realistic each time. Eren is still missing for a long time.
