“ hey, Lio, you ever thought about dating?”
Galo asked, legs completely tangled with Lio’s on their couch while both were on their phones
“…Galo.”
“Yeah?”
“ Is this a confession?”
“Wha?! No ! Of course not! It’s just that I’ve never seen you with anyone or even mention something like that, I was just wondering if you liked someone or even was into that…” he sat up and got his legs untangled, crossing his arms and legs while looking at Lio
Lio lowered his phone to look directly at Galo, he looked pissed .
“ Galo, we’re living together and sleeping on the same bed for months, do you really think I’d be going after someone?”
“well if it’s the ‘taking someone to the shared bed' weird I can get somewhere else to stay if you find a girl!”
A minute of silence, Lio blinking in disbelief at Galo, his hair all messed up from a nap or two and eyes not fully open from tiredness
“ you think I like women.”
“well yes! What else would you-“ he stops mid phrase, mouth still open “ah.”
“you seriously thought I’m straight after all this?” Lio gestures to both of them with his hand, such a domestic situation… at this point the two should be ashamed of not addressing it
“… yeaah, fair” Galo leans back to the position he was before, arms still crossed and eyes now closed in thought
They stay in silence for a minute or two, Lio gets back to whatever he’s doing on his phone, then Galo opens his mouth to speak again
“does that mean you might be into me? You know, I wouldn’t blame you, you were into fire and now you got this fire-hot man right in front of y-“
“Yeah, I am” he interrupts with the same voice Galo would expect to hear while being explained something that was supposed to be obvious
“ah? Wait, really?”
“ Yes.” Lio is now looking directly at his eyes, a bit of anger in his expression
Galo shifts to sit once again; his ears ,neck and face completely reddened from the affirmation, arms crossed with strength in it now, he tries to hide his face by looking down and avoiding eye contact, but his eyes meet Lio’s legs, still tangled to his body
Thanks to whatever entity that guards Galo, they both had their day free today and Lio was wearing the old sweatpants that are too big on him, not those hellish leather pants that shine in a way that makes Galo feel weird.
“ got something to say?” he could hear the mocking tone in Lio’s voice, then him shifting positions, the legs moving out of his vision, the weight in the couch moving…
“ I- I uh…. It’s …” he sees Lio’s hands approaching his thighs and holding there for support
“ it’s…?” Galo looks up, Lio’s face is dangerously close to his, he feels his brain giving up in the process
Lio approaches his face, and when their lips almost touch, he stops for some seconds to give Galo a chance to back off
Galo doesn’t.
And Lio leans in for the kiss.
It’s not a thing he was expecting, really, but it’s completely different from what they already experienced while covered in ash, sweat and full of adrenaline and fear in their bodies
Lio deepens the kiss with tongue, getting a surprised groan from Galo, who grabs the smaller man and moves him ontop of him, shifting positions
When they break the kiss, Lio’s face is completely flushed in red and he’s gasping for air, his mouth shaped in a smile as soon as his breath gets less urgent
“ have you been planning to do this for long?” Lio asks as he runs his finger on Galo’s chest , smiling at him
“what? The kissing?”
“No, you dumbass, your only advance was putting me on top of you, and I’m pretty sure your brain wasn’t in condition for thinking of new ideas” his smile widens a little, then he leans to Galo for resting his head on the space between Galo’s neck and shoulders
“ oh… maybe? But not like this, it was more of a ‘is Lio heavy enough to bother me with his weight ?’ thought, not this” he gets a hand behind his head to get a better position for his neck, and puts his other hand on Lio’s back, caressing him
“I can’t believe this was a thing you thought about” he chuckles, then snuggles into Galo’s neck
Slow moments pass by, their breath moving them up and down lazily as they relax and enjoy each other’s touch and body heat , Galo nearly falls asleep but Lio’s voice wakes him from it
“ you better be ready for tonight, I’m not gonna have any mercy on you today”
“ Please don’t have any.” He says, smiling, shifts himself a little, and gives in to the nap he’s been refusing himself in the few last hours.
