an eternity stuck with you is an eternity too long

Summary:

look, i love this non canon series, and since i cant find many, have mine.

standard fic, Alex and Morgan stuck in the Eternity Area, the chapters will probably be in order, fluff is also harder to write than angst for me so be warned. It will all be one story line, not multiple different ones

Chapter Text

Morgan sat on the look out platform, looking out at the vast stretches if the Eternity Area, watching the strange and dangerous creatures that lived in the realm. Picking at his fingers, wondering why he had to the be the one in this situation.

Stuck in a place where his only hope to return is if (Alex says when but Morgan is in denial about it, not wanting to think about if all this effort was worthless) some crazy cultish people were to summon Alex back to Earth. As Morgan gazed out at the deep grays of the desert that they had situated right next to, he thinks about what would happen to him even if he did go back. If it hadnt been such a huge drain on resources, the Hero Commission would probably just shove him right back in. However, seeing as the Hero Commission probably wouldnt recover from the resource strain for at least five years, and thats if Alex and him are in here that long.

Opening the Eternity Area is typically saved for the worst of the worst. Its open with power and energy absorbed from whoever was being sent whilst they were in containment, its why they hadnt been able to send Alex here. But low and behold, if we send this sidekick and hhave him summon ALex and leave the sidekick to rot, well never have to deal with Alex ever again. Morgan thought sarcastically, whilst wondering how he even ended up here.

"Hey, are you still alive up there?" Morgan sighs as he shifts around, choosing not to answer.

"I got the stuff."

Morgan groaned as he stood up. "Yeah, yeah. Im coming."

Morgan jumped down through the hatch and held his hands out. Alex only lifted an eyebrow before handing over the requested items, more curious about what the items were for than offended.

Morgan, arms now with Alligator Worm Monster Hide and Obsidion Tree Sap (which was basically a mostly non sticky slime that was still very gross), got to work at his makeshift workbench. He had been fideling around with scraps from Alex's latest pair of pants and the by product from the only tree they had to make anything with, when he had found a way to put them together to make something that would make life mich easier.

After the bed argument, Morgan decided to just dissassemble it sp it could be used in other traps that would have more than one function of just killing Alex. Its more effecient to have them to protect from the creatures and Alex. Especially when Morgan found out about the bioluminecent, small watermelon sized Piranah butterflies that hunted in packs....

Anyways, after taking the trapped bed apart, Morgan decided to mess around with alternative ideas. After some trial and error, and some more than questionable results, Morgan finally found a solution to this particular struggle. Morgan had found, that rubbing the sap into the cured leather makes it softer and stronger, and with the copious amounts of both that Alex had brought back, it would be no proublem to make a few hammocks. Unfortunetly, Morgan knew that if he didnt make one for Alex that it would just be the whole bed situation all over again.

Although, it would take signifficantly more coatings of the sap to have some that wold be Alex resistant.

Morgan was also more than aware of Alex curiously hovering behind Morgan, almost radianting the childish question of 'what cha doing?' with such an intensity that Morgan could only sigh. "Since a bed was a bust, I figured out an alternative." Morgan g ill runted as he had to work the sap into the leather.

"Would you like to help or just stand there being nosey." Morgan responded mostly on autopilot from when Chad would interupt him when he was working in his lab during recharge.

Alex breathed out of his nose in a way that it could be concidered an almost laugh. Leaning upon a nearby support, Alex mused "I think ill just stand here being nosey, since im not sure if this is another ploy at attempting to kill me. If it is, its no fun to know what to expect."

Still on autopilot, Morgan just gave Alex the bird without looking up, "Im making hammocks, and if your not gonna help with this, go widdle some notches into the wood so they can be hung, without having to worry if itll fall."

Alex had thougth about taking Morgans hand when given the rude gesture, but decided against it since A) its been a while since anyone had dared to make a rude gesture at him that didnt die after, B) Alex would be stuck here with no one to talk to, C) Morgan actually told him what he is doing and thats more than he'd get from some, and D) Alex can tell it was more mechanical than melissious . So, Alex did go and carve out notches to hang the hammocks upon.

Eventually, Alex got bored of just watching Morgan put the thing on the other thing, so he went out to do who knows what. Leaving Morgan to his many long hours of hammock making.

After several hours, Alex returned to see that Morgan was still working, a small pile of extra hammocks, and two hanging hammocks. Thinking nothing of it, Alex collaped into the hammock that looked sturdier and fell asleep happy to not haave to sleep on the ground.

Although, upon waking back up and finding Morgan stiil hunched over his make shift desk still tinkering away, Alex decided that mmaaaaaybbbeeee he should 'convince' Morgan to take a nap. Lo and behold, one pressure point later, Morgan was asleep. Moving Morgan to his own hammock, Alex decided to glance around Morgan's work table.

Upon doing so, spotted the box that allowed Morgan to bring Alex here. Scrathing his leg, Alex decided something.

Alex decided he was gonna fix the box. Alex grinned.
